Sep 14, 2026Flask-Reuploaded provides file uploads for Flask.CVE-2026-54567 · Other software · jugmac00 · reported by GitHubHigh 7.5
Flask-Reuploaded provides file uploads for Flask. From 1.5.0 until 1.6.0, UploadSet.save(storage, name=...) in src/flask_uploads/flask_uploads.py applies lowercase_ext to the default upload path but uses the case-preserving extension helper for a caller-supplied name before extension_allowed evaluates an AllExcept denylist. An attacker who controls the name override can use a mixed-case dangerous extension to bypass a lowercase denylist and store the file in the served upload directory. Exploitation requires a denylist configuration, a user-influenced name override, and a deployment that resolves or executes extensions case-insensitively; pure allowlists remain protected and path containment is not bypassed. On an execution-capable upload directory, the stored file can execute with the web server's privileges and affect confidentiality, integrity, and availability. This issue is fixed in version 1.6.0.

Sep 14, 2026Description Dependency artifacts uploaded with `storm jar --artifacts` were stored under a blob key derived only from the Maven coordinate, for example `dep---CVE-2026-82428 · Websites & servers · Apache Software Foundation · reported by security@apache.orgHigh 8.8
Description Dependency artifacts uploaded with `storm jar --artifacts` were stored under a blob key derived only from the Maven coordinate, for example `dep---.jar`. The key was therefore identical for every user of the cluster and predictable in advance. When the blob already existed, the uploader caught `KeyAlreadyExistsException` and silently reused it, with no check that the existing blob's content or owner matched the artifact the submitter had resolved. A user who uploaded a blob under such a key first therefore controlled the bytes that every later submitter of the same coordinate would receive on the worker classpath, resulting in code execution inside another tenant's topology. This affects deployments where more than one principal may create blobs and where the `--artifacts` dependency feature is used. Mitigation Upgrade to 3.1.0, where each uploaded artifact receives a key carrying a freshly generated UUID and a pre-existing blob is no longer silently reused. Note that the corrected key generation is on the SUBMITTING CLIENT, so upgrading the cluster alone does not close this; every client that runs `storm jar --artifacts` must also be upgraded. Operators should au

Sep 14, 2026Description Nimbus accepted the `uploadedJarLocation` argument of `submitTopology` / `submitTopologyWithOpts` as a server-side path and opened it directly, witCVE-2026-82426 · Websites & servers · Apache Software Foundation · reported by security@apache.orgMedium 6.5
Description Nimbus accepted the `uploadedJarLocation` argument of `submitTopology` / `submitTopologyWithOpts` as a server-side path and opened it directly, without checking that it referred to a file the caller had actually uploaded. The intended flow is that a client first calls `beginFileUpload`, which returns a path inside the Nimbus inbox, and uploads the jar in chunks to that location; nothing bound submission to that flow, and the `uploaders` map populated by `beginFileUpload` was never consulted at submit time. An authenticated user with topology submission rights could therefore submit any path readable by the Nimbus daemon user as their topology jar. Nimbus copied the file into the topology's jar blob, and the blob ACL grants the submitting subject read access, so the contents could then be retrieved with the ordinary blob download RPCs. Candidate targets include the Nimbus Kerberos keytab, Thrift and UI TLS private keys, and `storm.yaml` with the ZooKeeper authentication payload. Possession of the Nimbus keytab turns an ordinary tenant into a cluster administrator. In a deployment configured as the documentation recommends, submission is available to every authenticate

Sep 14, 2026Description A submitted topology carries two lists of blobstore keys, `dependency_jars` and `dependency_artifacts`, which the client fills in after uploading tCVE-2026-82441 · Websites & servers · Apache Software Foundation · reported by security@apache.orgCritical 9.1
Description A submitted topology carries two lists of blobstore keys, `dependency_jars` and `dependency_artifacts`, which the client fills in after uploading the corresponding blobs. Nimbus performed no validation of their contents on the submission path, yet acts on them in two places. During cleanup of a finished topology, Nimbus deletes the keys named in those lists, and the deletion is performed as the Nimbus subject, for which the blobstore short-circuits its ACL check. A submitter who listed a key belonging to another topology, such as its `-stormjar.jar`, could therefore cause that blob to be deleted when their own topology was cleaned up. Separately, on acquiring leadership a Nimbus compares the dependency keys of all active topologies against the blobstore contents and surrenders leadership if any is missing. A single key that does not exist, on a single active topology, therefore causes every Nimbus to acquire leadership, surrender it and requeue indefinitely, leaving the cluster without a leader and unable to schedule, clean up or accept submissions. Mitigation Upgrade to 3.1.0, where a submission is refused unless every entry in both lists is a dependency blob key

Sep 14, 2026Affected versions of MISP serve uploaded SVG images inline without a restrictive browser sandbox.CVE-2026-90957 · Other software · MISP · reported by 5a6e4751-2f3f-4070-9419-94fb35b644e8Medium 5.1
Affected versions of MISP serve uploaded SVG images inline without a restrictive browser sandbox. The commit explains that SVG files are XML documents rather than passive bitmap images. While scripts inside SVG do not execute when the SVG is rendered through a normal <img>, they can execute when the SVG is navigated to directly or embedded as a document. In that case, malicious <script> elements, event handlers, or javascript: URLs execute on the MISP origin with the viewer’s session. The affected use cases include: - organisation SVG logos; - event-report SVG pictures. Importantly, the vulnerable behavior is on the serve path, not merely the upload path: the patch notes that a malicious SVG uploaded while SVG support was enabled could remain dangerous even after uploads were later disabled. Version affected: ≤2.5.45

Sep 14, 2026File Browser versions >= 2.5.0 and <= 2.63.23 contain an incorrect authorization flaw in the direct-upload endpoint (resourcePostHandler in http/resource.go).CVE-2026-90929 · Other software · filebrowser · reported by VulnCheckHigh 7.2
File Browser versions >= 2.5.0 and <= 2.63.23 contain an incorrect authorization flaw in the direct-upload endpoint (resourcePostHandler in http/resource.go). Unlike the TUS upload handler, the direct-upload handler does not reject a target that is an existing directory; a POST with ?override=true aimed at a directory fails inside writeFile (a directory cannot be opened for writing) and the failure-cleanup path then calls Fs.RemoveAll on the request path, recursively deleting the entire tree. This cleanup is gated by neither the Perm.Delete permission nor the checkDescendants rule walk applied by the delete and patch handlers, so an authenticated non-administrator holding only the default Create and Modify permissions can delete directories they are not authorized to delete, including rule-denied files within them. Deletion remains confined to the user's scope because ScopedFs.RemoveAll still enforces the scope guard. The faulty cleanup was introduced in v2.5.0; no patched version is available.

Sep 14, 2026multer is a Node.js middleware for handling multipart/form-data uploads.CVE-2026-88932 · Other software · multer · reported by ce714d77-add3-4f53-aff5-83d477b104bbMedium 5.3
multer is a Node.js middleware for handling multipart/form-data uploads. In versions 2.2.0 through 2.3.0, when a request using disk storage is aborted mid-upload, file writes that complete after multer has already run its abort cleanup are not removed, so each aborted upload can leave an orphaned file on disk. A remote unauthenticated attacker can repeatedly start and abort uploads to accumulate orphaned files and exhaust disk space, causing a denial of service. The issue is fixed in multer 2.4.0, and users should upgrade to 2.4.0 or later.

Sep 10, 2026FileRun before 2026.3.0 contains an OS command injection vulnerability in the PhotoProofSheet handler that allows authenticated users with upload permission to CVE-2026-73693 · Other software · FileRun · reported by VulnCheckHigh 8.7
FileRun before 2026.3.0 contains an OS command injection vulnerability in the PhotoProofSheet handler that allows authenticated users with upload permission to execute arbitrary commands by uploading files with shell metacharacters in their names. Attackers can upload a file containing command substitution syntax such as backticks, semicolons, or $() sequences in the filename, then trigger the PhotoProofSheet endpoint to execute arbitrary commands as the web-server user due to missing escapeshellarg() sanitization in the ImageMagick montage command construction.

Sep 9, 2026Drag and Drop File Upload for Elementor Forms: Arbitrary File UploadCVE-2026-18351 · WordPress plugins & themes · reported by WordfenceCritical 9.8
The Drag and Drop File Upload for Elementor Forms plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to Arbitrary File Upload in all versions up to, and including, 1.6.0 via the elementor_file_upload function. This is due to insufficient file type validation in the is_file_type_valid() function, which uses the attacker-controlled 'type' parameter as regex keys in the MIME allowlist, allowing blacklist bypass via a crafted extension that sanitize_file_name() later normalizes to a PHP extension. This makes it possible for unauthenticated attackers to upload files that may be executable, which makes remote code execution possible.

Sep 9, 2026Rara One Click Demo Import: Arbitrary file uploadCVE-2026-26212 · WordPress plugins & themes · reported by VulnCheckHigh 8.6
Rara One Click Demo Import plugin for WordPress before 1.3.5 contains an arbitrary file upload vulnerability that allows authenticated attackers with Administrator privileges to upload arbitrary PHP files by passing a false value to wp_handle_upload() that disables WordPress core's file type validation checks across all three file parameters in the process_uploaded_files() function. Attackers can upload a malicious PHP file to the uploads directory and execute it over HTTP to achieve remote code execution in the web server process, with the uploaded file persisting on disk even after plugin deactivation and leaving no media library record to evade standard integrity checks.

Sep 9, 2026Snipe-IT versions <= 8.6.3 (fixed in 8.7.0) do not check the return value of storage write operations in ImageUploadRequest::handleImages().CVE-2026-86749 · Other software · grokability · reported by VulnCheckHigh 7
Snipe-IT versions <= 8.6.3 (fixed in 8.7.0) do not check the return value of storage write operations in ImageUploadRequest::handleImages(). Because Laravel's default disk mode does not throw on failure, a silently failed Storage::disk('public')->put(...) call still caused the application to delete the previous image via deleteExistingImage() and to reassign and persist the model's image reference to the new filename, destroying the existing image and leaving the database row pointing at a file that was never written. A mirror problem existed in deleteExistingImage(), where a failed Storage::delete() still nulled the model's image field, orphaning the file on disk. The condition is not directly attacker-controlled: it is triggered when any legitimate authenticated user submits an image upload while the storage backend transiently fails (for example an S3 network error, a local filesystem permission problem, or quota exhaustion). The result is unrecoverable loss of the prior image and a durable inconsistency between the database and disk that requires manual reconciliation. All models whose controllers route through ImageUploadRequest::handleImages (assets, asset models, users, comp

Snipe-IT before 8.7.0 streams the SQL entry from an uploaded backup archive directly into the MySQL/MariaDB command-line client (`mysql`) without the --binary-mode flag, so the client interprets lines beginning with backslash commands such as `\!` as local shell commands. An authenticated superadministrator who uploads a crafted ZIP backup (POST /admin/backups/upload) and triggers a restore (POST /admin/backups/restore/{filename}) without the optional `clean` sanitizer parameter — which is not applied by default because DB_SANITIZE_BY_DEFAULT is false — can execute arbitrary OS commands as the web application's operating-system user, exposing application secrets (including database credentials and APP_KEY) and allowing modification of application-writable files and data. Version 8.7.0 adds the --binary-mode flag to the client invocation.
