  • Apr 22, 2026In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: xfrm: iptfs: only publish mode_data after clone setup iptfs_clone_state() stores x->mode_dCVE-2026-31471 · Computers, phones & browsers · Linux · reported by 416baaa9-dc9f-4396-8d5f-8c081fb06d67High 7.8

    In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: xfrm: iptfs: only publish mode_data after clone setup iptfs_clone_state() stores x->mode_data before allocating the reorder window. If that allocation fails, the code frees the cloned state and returns -ENOMEM, leaving x->mode_data pointing at freed memory. The xfrm clone unwind later runs destroy_state() through x->mode_data, so the failed clone path tears down IPTFS state that clone_state() already freed. Keep the cloned IPTFS state private until all allocations succeed so failed clones leave x->mode_data unset. The destroy path already handles a NULL mode_data pointer.

  • Apr 22, 2026In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: ext4: publish jinode after initialization ext4_inode_attach_jinode() publishes ei->jinode CVE-2026-31450 · Computers, phones & browsers · Linux · reported by 416baaa9-dc9f-4396-8d5f-8c081fb06d67High 8.8

    In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: ext4: publish jinode after initialization ext4_inode_attach_jinode() publishes ei->jinode to concurrent users. It used to set ei->jinode before jbd2_journal_init_jbd_inode(), allowing a reader to observe a non-NULL jinode with i_vfs_inode still unset. The fast commit flush path can then pass this jinode to jbd2_wait_inode_data(), which dereferences i_vfs_inode->i_mapping and may crash. Below is the crash I observe: ``` BUG: unable to handle page fault for address: 000000010beb47f4 PGD 110e51067 P4D 110e51067 PUD 0 Oops: Oops: 0000 [#1] SMP NOPTI CPU: 1 UID: 0 PID: 4850 Comm: fc_fsync_bench_ Not tainted 6.18.0-00764-g795a690c06a5 #1 PREEMPT(voluntary) Hardware name: QEMU Standard PC (i440FX + PIIX, 1996), BIOS Arch Linux 1.17.0-2-2 04/01/2014 RIP: 0010:xas_find_marked+0x3d/0x2e0 Code: e0 03 48 83 f8 02 0f 84 f0 01 00 00 48 8b 47 08 48 89 c3 48 39 c6 0f 82 fd 01 00 00 48 85 c9 74 3d 48 83 f9 03 77 63 4c 8b 0f <49> 8b 71 08 48 c7 47 18 00 00 00 00 48 89 f1 83 e1 03 48 83 f9 02 RSP: 0018:ffffbbee806e7bf0 EFLAGS: 00010246 RAX: 000000000010beb4 RBX: 000000000010beb4 RCX: 0000000000000003 RDX: 0000000000000001 RSI: 00

  • Apr 6, 2026Ech0 is an open-source, self-hosted publishing platform for personal idea sharing.CVE-2026-35037 · Other software · lin-snow · reported by GitHubHigh 7.2

    Ech0 is an open-source, self-hosted publishing platform for personal idea sharing. Prior to 4.2.8, the GET /api/website/title endpoint accepts an arbitrary URL via the website_url query parameter and makes a server-side HTTP request to it without any validation of the target host or IP address. The endpoint requires no authentication. An attacker can use this to reach internal network services, cloud metadata endpoints (169.254.169.254), and localhost-bound services, with partial response data exfiltrated via the HTML <title> tag extraction This vulnerability is fixed in 4.2.8.

  • Apr 6, 2026Ech0 is an open-source, self-hosted publishing platform for personal idea sharing.CVE-2026-35036 · Other software · lin-snow · reported by GitHubHigh 7.5

    Ech0 is an open-source, self-hosted publishing platform for personal idea sharing. Prior to 4.2.8, Ech0 implements link preview (editor fetches a page title) through GET /api/website/title. That is legitimate product behavior, but the implementation is unsafe: the route is unauthenticated, accepts a fully attacker-controlled URL, performs a server-side GET, reads the entire response body into memory (io.ReadAll). There is no host allowlist, no SSRF filter, and InsecureSkipVerify: true on the outbound client. Anyone who can reach the instance can force the Ech0 server to open HTTP/HTTPS URLs of their choice as seen from the server’s network position (Docker bridge, VPC, localhost from the process view). This vulnerability is fixed in 4.2.8.

    Open Forms allows users create and publish smart forms. Prior to 3.3.13 and 3.4.5, to be able to cosign, the cosigner receives an e-mail with instructions or a deep-link to start the cosign flow. The submission reference is communicated so that the user can retrieve the submission to be cosigned. • Mar 6, 2026Idno is a social publishing platform.CVE-2026-28508 · Other software · idno · reported by GitHubCritical 9.2

    Idno is a social publishing platform. Prior to version 1.6.4, a logic error in the API authentication flow causes the CSRF protection on the URL unfurl service endpoint to be trivially bypassed by any unauthenticated remote attacker. Combined with the absence of a login requirement on the endpoint itself, this allows an attacker to force the server to make arbitrary outbound HTTP requests to any host, including internal network addresses and cloud instance metadata services, and retrieve the response content. • Feb 4, 2026apko allows users to build and publish OCI container images built from apk packages.CVE-2026-25140 · Other software · chainguard-dev · reported by GitHubHigh 7.5

    apko allows users to build and publish OCI container images built from apk packages. From version 0.14.8 to before 1.1.1, an attacker who controls or compromises an APK repository used by apko could cause resource exhaustion on the build host. The ExpandApk function in pkg/apk/expandapk/expandapk.go expands .apk streams without enforcing decompression limits, allowing a malicious repository to serve a small, highly-compressed .apk that inflates into a large tar stream, consuming excessive disk space and CPU time, causing build failures or denial of service. This issue has been patched in version 1.1.1.

  • Feb 4, 2026apko allows users to build and publish OCI container images built from apk packages.CVE-2026-25122 · Other software · chainguard-dev · reported by GitHubMedium 5.5

    apko allows users to build and publish OCI container images built from apk packages. From version 0.14.8 to before 1.1.0, expandapk.Split drains the first gzip stream of an APK archive via io.Copy(io.Discard, gzi) without explicit bounds. With an attacker-controlled input stream, this can force large gzip inflation work and lead to resource exhaustion (availability impact). The Split function reads the first tar header, then drains the remainder of the gzip stream by reading from the gzip reader directly without any maximum uncompressed byte limit or inflate-ratio cap. A caller that parses attacker-controlled APK streams may be forced to spend excessive CPU time inflating gzip data, leading to timeouts or process slowdown. This issue has been patched in version 1.1.0.

    apko allows users to build and publish OCI container images built from apk packages. From version 0.14.8 to before 1.1.1, a path traversal vulnerability was discovered in apko's dirFS filesystem abstraction. An attacker who can supply a malicious APK package (e.g., via a compromised or typosquatted repository) could create directories or symlinks outside the intended installation root. The MkdirAll, Mkdir, and Symlink methods in pkg/apk/fs/rwosfs.go use filepath.Join() without validating that the resulting path stays within the base directory. • Nov 7, 2025Datasette is an open source multi-tool for exploring and publishing data.CVE-2025-64481 · Other software · simonw · reported by GitHubLow 2.7

    Datasette is an open source multi-tool for exploring and publishing data. In versions 0.65.1 and below and 1.0a0 through 1.0a19, deployed instances of Datasette include an open redirect vulnerability. Hits to the path //example.com/foo/bar/ (the trailing slash is required) will redirect the user to https://example.com/foo/bar. This problem has been patched in both Datasette 0.65.2 and 1.0a21. To workaround this issue, if Datasette is running behind a proxy, that proxy could be configured to replace // with / in incoming request URLs.
