  • Sep 11, 2026GamiPress: Authenticated (Subscriber+) SQL InjectionCVE-2026-15439 · WordPress plugins & themes · reported by WordfenceMedium 6.5

The GamiPress plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to authenticated (Subscriber+) SQL Injection via the 'q' parameter of the wpForo integration AJAX selector (action gamipress_wpforo_get_posts) in versions up to, and including, 7.9.7. The value is passed only through $wpdb->esc_like() and interpolated directly into a single-quoted LIKE clause with no %s placeholder. Because esc_like() runs after WordPress core magic quotes, it doubles the injected backslash (\' -> \\'), which MySQL reads as one literal backslash followed by a live closing quote, allowing the attacker to break out of the string and inject boolean-based SQL. The wpForo plugin only needs to be active to register the callback; no wpForo vulnerability is used. Requires a Subscriber account, which can read the gamipress_admin nonce (exposed on every admin page, e.g. /wp-admin/profile.php). Note: the researcher's Simple:Press vectors (PoC 2 & 3) do not reproduce in current code, which uses $wpdb->prepare() with %s placeholders; only the wpForo selector is confirmed.

  • Sep 9, 2026PublishPress Capabilities – User Role Editor, Access Permissions, User Capabilities, Admin Menus: Privilege EscalationCVE-2026-75927 · WordPress plugins & themes · reported by WordfenceHigh 7.2

The PublishPress Capabilities – User Role Editor, Access Permissions, User Capabilities, Admin Menus plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to Privilege Escalation in all versions up to, and including, 2.50.0. This is due to the `addPluginCapabilities()` function unconditionally granting the Editor role all 15 `manage_capabilities_*` capabilities — including `manage_capabilities`, `manage_capabilities_roles`, `manage_capabilities_settings`, and `manage_capabilities_backup` — via a hard-coded `$eligible_roles = ['administrator', 'editor']` assignment that runs automatically on the first `admin_init` after plugin activation with no administrator opt-in, persisting the grants directly to the database. This makes it possible for authenticated attackers with Editor-level access to elevate their privileges to a site-wide capability manager, enabling them to create, rename, and delete non-system roles, modify capabilities of non-administrator roles, restore role backups, and write arbitrary plugin options whose names begin with `cme_`, `capsman`, `pp_capabilities`, or `presspermit` via `update_option()`. The escalation stops short of full Administrator access, as WordPress's `map_meta_cap` la

The Live Composer – Free WordPress Website Builder plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to PHP Object Injection in all versions up to, and including, 2.1.18 via deserialization of untrusted input . • Sep 5, 2026HivePress Authentication: Authentication BypassCVE-2026-18056 · WordPress plugins & themes · reported by WordfenceHigh 7.5

The HivePress Authentication plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to Authentication Bypass via the access_token parameter in all versions up to, and including, 1.1.4. This is due to the authenticate_user function's Facebook authenticator resolving third-party identity by forwarding the attacker-supplied access_token to the Facebook Graph API and trusting the returned email and ID verbatim, without performing any application ID or audience validation — specifically, no /debug_token verification and no comparison of the token's app_id against the configured hp_facebook_app_id. This makes it possible for unauthenticated attackers to authenticate as any existing WordPress user, including administrators, whose email address is associated with a Facebook account for which the attacker can obtain any valid access token. • Sep 5, 2026Hummingbird – Speed Optimization, Caching, Minify, Compress & CDN: Remote Code ExecutionCVE-2026-83627 · WordPress plugins & themes · reported by WordfenceCritical 9.8

The Hummingbird – Speed Optimization, Caching, Minify, Compress & CDN plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to Remote Code Execution in all versions up to, and including, 3.21.0 via the log_msg() function in core/modules/class-page-cache.php. The page-cache debug log is written to wp-content/wphb-logs/page-caching-log.php, a directly web-accessible PHP file that is supposed to be protected by a leading '<?php die(); ?>' header. That header is guarded by class_exists( 'Filesystem' ), which can never match because class_exists() resolves string arguments in the global namespace while the class is Hummingbird\Core\Filesystem; when the log is created during a front-end request the header is therefore omitted entirely. get_cookies() then writes the raw name of any cookie matching the wphb_cache_ prefix into that file without sanitization. This makes it possible for unauthenticated attackers to write arbitrary PHP into the log file with a single anonymous request and execute it by requesting the file directly, resulting in full remote code execution. Exploitation requires the site administrator to have enabled Page Caching with the Debug Log option (non-default), and the log file to be crea

  • Sep 1, 2026Live Composer – Free WordPress Website Builder: Stored Cross-Site ScriptingCVE-2026-16788 · WordPress plugins & themes · reported by WordfenceMedium 6.4

The Live Composer – Free WordPress Website Builder plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to Stored Cross-Site Scripting via dslc_module_projects_output Shortcode in all versions up to, and including, 2.1.19 due to insufficient input sanitization and output escaping. This makes it possible for authenticated attackers, with contributor-level access and above, to inject arbitrary web scripts in pages that will execute whenever a user accesses an injected page. WordPress's shortcode-aware kses handling preserves the serialized shortcode body as a placeholder before content filtering runs, allowing attacker-controlled values such as view_all_link, main_heading_link_title, main_filter_title_all, and button_text to reach render-time sinks entirely unescaped.

The Live Composer – Free WordPress Website Builder plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to Stored Cross-Site Scripting via dslc_module_testimonials_output Shortcode in all versions up to, and including, 2.1.19 due to insufficient input sanitization and output escaping. This makes it possible for authenticated attackers, with contributor-level access and above, to inject arbitrary web scripts in pages that will execute whenever a user accesses an injected page. The injected payload survives save-time wp_kses_post filtering because KSES treats shortcode delimiters as opaque, and the unescaped fields — including main_heading_title, view_all_link, main_heading_link_title, and main_filter_title_all — are only rendered when do_shortcode() executes at page-view time.

  • Sep 1, 2026LearnPress: SQL InjectionCVE-2026-77823 · WordPress plugins & themes · reported by WordfenceMedium 4.9

The LearnPress plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to SQL Injection via the 'orderby' parameter of the export_order_csv AJAX action in versions up to, and including, 4.4.4. This is due to insufficient escaping on the user supplied parameter and lack of sufficient preparation on the existing SQL query in the LP_Order::handle_params_query_list_orders() and DataBase::execute() functions — only the literal values 'date' and 'title' are normalized, while any other attacker-controlled string is assigned directly to the filter's order_by property and concatenated into the ORDER BY clause without $wpdb->prepare() or an identifier whitelist. This makes it possible for authenticated attackers, with administrator-level access and above, to append additional SQL queries into already existing queries that can be used to extract sensitive information from the database.

The Master Addons for Elementor – Elementor Addons, Widgets, Mega Menu Builder, Popup Builder, Widget Builder & Template Kits plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to Arbitrary File Upload in all versions up to, and including, 3.1.9 via the upload_template_kit function. This is due to incorrect authorization on the upload_template_kit() AJAX handler, which requires only upload_files capability instead of the manage_options required by all sibling handlers, combined with missing per-entry file type filtering after ZIP extraction. This makes it possible for authenticated attackers, with editor-level access and above, to upload files that may be executable, which makes remote code execution possible. Editors can satisfy the nonce requirement because the required nonces are localized on the standard Pages list screen, which is accessible to any user with the edit_pages capability.

ProfilePress (wp-user-avatar) WordPress plugin before 4.17.2 contains an unauthenticated remote code execution vulnerability that allows unauthenticated attackers to install and activate arbitrary plugins by brute-forcing a weak 32-bit connect token via the ppress_connect_process AJAX handler.
