The Goodix GT9xx input driver in drivers/input/input_gt911.c reads the touch point count from the controller's status register and masks it with GT911_TOUCH_POINTS_MSK (0x0F), yielding a value of 0..15. In gt911_process() that value is used directly as the loop bound for filling point_reg[], a stack array sized to CONFIG_INPUT_GT911_MAX_TOUCH_POINTS, whose Kconfig range is 1..5 with a default of 1. No other check constrains the count; the driver relied only on a comment asserting that the controller had been programmed at init to report no more points than configured. Each loop iteration issues an I2C read of eight bytes straight into point_reg[i], so a controller that reports more points than the array holds causes up to 112 bytes of peer-supplied data to be written past the end of the array, over the stack frame of gt911_process() in the system workqueue thread. Two further loops then read out of bounds from the same array. Triggering it requires control of, or the ability to substitute, the I2C touch controller — plausible on the many supported boards where the GT9xx panel is a pluggable display module or shield rather than an on-PCB part; a spoofed device need only answer the

  • Oct 10, 2026Quiz and Survey Master (QSM) – Quiz Maker & Survey Maker: Stored DOM-Based Cross-Site ScriptingCVE-2026-96558 · WordPress plugins & themes · reported by WordfenceHigh 7.2

The Quiz and Survey Master (QSM) – Quiz Maker & Survey Maker plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to Stored DOM-Based Cross-Site Scripting via the 'qsm_hidden_questions' parameter in all versions up to, and including, 11.2.6 due to insufficient input sanitization and output escaping. This makes it possible for unauthenticated attackers to inject arbitrary web scripts in pages that will execute whenever a user accesses an injected page. This requires the attacker to force the mlw_results INSERT to fail by submitting an over-length or duplicate qsm_unique_key value, which triggers the audit trail code branch that writes the unescaped payload to wp_mlw_qm_audit_trail.form_data.

  • Oct 10, 202610Web Booster – Website speed optimization, Cache & Page Speed optimizer: Stored Cross-Site ScriptingCVE-2026-107742 · WordPress plugins & themes · reported by WordfenceHigh 7.2

The 10Web Booster – Website speed optimization, Cache & Page Speed optimizer plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to Stored Cross-Site Scripting via the 'author' parameter in all versions up to, and including, 2.34.8 due to insufficient input sanitization and output escaping. This makes it possible for unauthenticated attackers to inject arbitrary web scripts in pages that will execute whenever a user accesses an injected page. This is exploitable because a comment author Name value containing ' src=' and an event-handler payload contains no HTML tags or quote characters, allowing it to survive WordPress core's sanitize_text_field and land verbatim inside the alt attribute, where the plugin's own str_replace subsequently injects the single quote that breaks out of the attribute context.

  • Oct 8, 2026JHipster is a development platform to quickly generate, develop, and deploy modern web applications and microservice architectures.CVE-2026-107375 · Other software · jhipster · reported by GitHubHigh 8.8

JHipster is a development platform to quickly generate, develop, and deploy modern web applications and microservice architectures. From 7.0.0 until 9.4.0, reactive applications generated with Spring WebFlux, Spring Data R2DBC, and a SQL database pass the attacker-controlled sort request parameter from paginated entity-list endpoints into createOrderByFields in generators/spring-boot/generators/data-relational/templates/src/main/java/package/repository/EntityManager_reactive.java.ejs. The generated code renders these properties into the SQL ORDER BY clause without validation or quoting, and the R2DBC simple query protocol can execute additional statements separated by semicolons. A normal authenticated user can consequently read sensitive tables, modify or delete data, or drop tables, while non-reactive JPA applications and NoSQL backends are outside this root cause. This issue is fixed in 9.4.0.

  • Oct 8, 2026JHipster is a development platform to quickly generate, develop, and deploy modern web applications and microservice architectures.CVE-2026-107303 · Other software · jhipster · reported by GitHubHigh 7.6

JHipster is a development platform to quickly generate, develop, and deploy modern web applications and microservice architectures. Prior to generator-jhipster 9.4.0 and react-jhipster 1.1.0, generated applications can persist attacker-controlled Blob data and companion ContentType values, return them through generated REST endpoints, and pass them to the generated openFile helper in generators/client/generators/common/templates/src/main/webapp/app/shared/jhipster/data-utils.ts.ejs. The helper uses the returned ContentType as the browser Blob MIME type and opens an object URL, so a normal authenticated user with write access to a Blob-bearing entity can store active HTML or SVG content that may execute under the application origin when a privileged user opens it. Exploitability depends on the generated application's content security policy and target-browser Blob behavior. This issue is fixed in generator-jhipster 9.4.0 and react-jhipster 1.1.0.

LMCache multiprocess mode, also called distributed mode, opens an unauthenticated ZeroMQ ROUTER so worker processes can register and share KV cache blocks. Messages on that socket are msgpack. Extension code 1 is passed to DeviceIPCWrapper.Deserialize, which calls pickle.loads, while the server is still decoding request arguments and before the handler runs. A single unauthenticated ZMQ DEALER message to the transport port (default 5555) therefore executes code as the user the LMCache process runs as. Official container images run that process as root. The transport binds to localhost unless the operator sets a routable address with --host, which is how multi-node deployments let peers connect. The decode path shipped in v0.3.9 and is present through v0.5.5, including the v0.5.6 release candidates. v0.5.6, published on 2026-10-14, removes pickle.loads from this path.

  • Oct 7, 2026OMGF | GDPR/DSGVO Compliant, Faster Google Fonts. Easy.: Stored Cross-Site ScriptingCVE-2026-89417 · WordPress plugins & themes · reported by WordfenceHigh 7.2

The OMGF | GDPR/DSGVO Compliant, Faster Google Fonts. Easy. plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to Stored Cross-Site Scripting via 's' Search Parameter via comments-atom Feed in all versions up to, and including, 6.3.10 due to insufficient input sanitization and output escaping. This makes it possible for unauthenticated attackers to inject arbitrary web scripts in pages that will execute whenever a user accesses an injected page. Successful exploitation requires that the front-end server serves the retained .tmp file without a Content-Type or X-Content-Type-Options header, enabling MIME-sniffing browsers such as Chromium to execute the injected script — a condition present by default on many Apache and nginx/php-fpm deployments.

  • Oct 6, 2026Authorization Bypass Through User-Controlled Key (CWE-639) in Elasticsearch can lead to Information Disclosure via a specially crafted cross-cluster search requCVE-2026-103009 · Other software · Elastic · reported by security@elastic.coHigh 7.1

Authorization Bypass Through User-Controlled Key (CWE-639) in Elasticsearch can lead to Information Disclosure via a specially crafted cross-cluster search request that references an unauthorized shard identifier. Elasticsearch contains an authorization bypass weakness in its handling of cross-cluster search requests made through the Remote Cluster Security (RCS) 2.0 model. An authorization check validates a request against one identifying attribute of the target shard, while a separate, independently-supplied identifying attribute in the same request determines which shard is actually accessed. A holder of a cross-cluster API key authorized for one index can craft a request whose two identifying attributes refer to different indices, causing the request to be authorized against an index they can access while actually operating against a different, unauthorized index. This can expose that index's document contents, field mappings, and other metadata, and in limited cases allows modification of retention-lease state on the unauthorized index.

  • Oct 6, 2026A flaw was found in postgres-exporter.CVE-2026-83550 · Other software · Red Hat · reported by Red HatHigh 7.1

A flaw was found in postgres-exporter. Due to the blank import of `net/http/pprof`, debug endpoints are exposed on the unauthenticated metrics listener. A remote attacker within the cluster network can access these endpoints. This allows for information disclosure, potentially revealing process arguments, full goroutine stacks, and sensitive data like database connection strings or passwords from heap dumps. Additionally, repeated CPU profiling through these endpoints can lead to a denial of service.

  • Oct 6, 2026In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: RDMA/core: Reject unregistering netdevs in ib_get_eth_speed ib_device_get_netdev() intentiCVE-2026-98359 · Computers, phones & browsers · Linux · reported by 416baaa9-dc9f-4396-8d5f-8c081fb06d67High 7

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: RDMA/core: Reject unregistering netdevs in ib_get_eth_speed ib_device_get_netdev() intentionally returns a referenced net_device even when it is unregistering, so matching and cleanup callers can still find the association. The reference keeps struct net_device allocated, but does not guarantee that the device remains operational. ib_get_eth_speed() uses the returned device operationally by invoking its ethtool callback. Although that call is made under RTNL, the function does not verify the registration state first. An asynchronous RDMA port query can therefore call into a netdev after NETDEV_UNREGISTER and ndo_uninit have completed. Check for NETREG_REGISTERED while holding RTNL and return -ENODEV for a device which is being unregistered. Keeping RTNL across the check and the ethtool operation prevents unregister from starting between them. Keep the speed fallback and warning under RTNL as well, so the warning can safely read netdev->name. Drop the netdev reference before releasing RTNL once all accesses to the device are complete.

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: IB/iser: reject a remote invalidation of an unregistered direction A write command whose data is sent entirely as immediate data is not registered. iser_reg_mem_fastreg() takes the DMA key path and leaves rdma_reg[ISER_DIR_OUT].desc at NULL, while iser_dma_map_task_data() has already set dir[ISER_DIR_OUT]. iser_check_remote_inv() looks at dir[] alone and hands the descriptor to iser_inv_desc(), which reads desc->sig_protected. A target that answers such a command with IB_WR_SEND_WITH_INV faults the initiator. Leaving those commands unregistered is deliberate. The same function already terminates the connection when a target sends a remote invalidation the initiator did not ask for. A target that invalidates a direction that was never registered is in the same class, so give it the same answer. • Oct 6, 2026In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: ALSA: pcm: set timer->private_data before registering the PCM timer snd_pcm_timer_init() cCVE-2026-98314 · Computers, phones & browsers · Linux · reported by 416baaa9-dc9f-4396-8d5f-8c081fb06d67

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: ALSA: pcm: set timer->private_data before registering the PCM timer snd_pcm_timer_init() calls snd_device_register() to link the new struct snd_timer into the global timer list while it still carries hw.c_resolution = snd_pcm_timer_resolution (and hw.start/hw.stop), and only afterwards sets timer->private_data = substream. Once the timer is on the list under register_mutex, a concurrent reader can already reach it through the same mutex and invoke these callbacks. /proc/asound/timers does this via c_resolution(), and snd_timer_open()+snd_timer_start() reach start()/stop() the same way. All three dereference timer->private_data, which for this brief window is NULL, giving a NULL-pointer dereference: substream = timer->private_data; return substream->runtime ? ... // substream is NULL Move the private_data/private_free assignment before snd_device_register() so the timer is never visible on the list without its private_data set. On the snd_device_register() failure path, private_free() (snd_pcm_timer_free()) can now run, but it only does substream->timer = NULL, which is already NULL at that point since su

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: wifi: virt_wifi: don't transfer operstate before register virt_wifi_newlink() calls netif_stacked_transfer_operstate() before register_netdevice(). If the lower device is dormant, that queues the new netdev on lweventlist while it is still uninitialized. If registration fails after that, for example because of an invalid name such as "bad/name", free_netdev() immediately frees the object. A later linkwatch_fire_event() then use-after-frees the list entry. Move the transfer to after netdev_upper_dev_link(), as macvlan and ipvlan already do.

Unregister leaves both works live, so disconnecting during an active dump lets them access hdev after hci_release_dev() frees it. Shut down coredump processing during unregister. Close the producer gate under dump_q.lock before disabling both works, then free the active buffer and queued packets under hci_dev_lock. Serializing the gate with enqueue prevents controller-specific workers from adding packets after the final purge.

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: IB/mlx4: Fix use-after-free on pkey sysfs registration failure register_pkey_tree() ignores errors from register_one_pkey_tree() and continues registering the remaining slaves. The per-slave error path has already released the pkey parent kobjects, but their pointers remain stored in the device. A later device cleanup therefore passes the stale pointers to kobject_put(), causing a use-after-free. Clear the parent pointers after releasing a failed slave tree and skip unregistered trees during device cleanup. This preserves the existing best-effort registration behavior while preventing a second cleanup of the failed tree.
