In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: net: dsa: free routing table on probe failure If complete = true in dsa_tree_setup(), it means that we are the last switch of the tree which is successfully probing, and we should be setting up all switches from our probe path. After "complete" becomes true, dsa_tree_setup_cpu_ports() or any subsequent function may fail. If that happens, the entire tree setup is in limbo: the first N-1 switches have successfully finished probing (doing nothing but having allocated persistent memory in the tree's dst->ports, and maybe dst->rtable), and switch N failed to probe, ending the tree setup process before anything is tangible from the user's PoV. If switch N fails to probe, its memory (ports) will be freed and removed from dst->ports. However, the dst->rtable elements pointing to its ports, as created by dsa_link_touch(), will remain there, and will lead to use-after-free if dereferenced. If dsa_tree_setup_switches() returns -EPROBE_DEFER, which is entirely possible because that is where ds->ops->setup() is, we get a kasan report like this: ================================================================== BUG: KASAN:

  • Apr 9, 2025An Improper Check for Unusual or Exceptional Conditions vulnerability in the Routing Protocol Daemon (rpd) of Juniper Networks Junos OS and Junos OS Evolved allCVE-2025-30655 · Network & remote access · Juniper Networks · reported by sirt@juniper.netMedium 6.8

An Improper Check for Unusual or Exceptional Conditions vulnerability in the Routing Protocol Daemon (rpd) of Juniper Networks Junos OS and Junos OS Evolved allows a local, low-privileged attacker to cause a Denial-of-Service (DoS). When a specific "show bgp neighbor" CLI command is run, the rpd cpu utilization rises and eventually causes a crash and restart. Repeated use of this command will cause a sustained DoS condition.  The device is only affected if BGP RIB sharding and update-threading is enabled. This issue affects Junos OS:  * All versions before 21.2R3-S9,  * from 21.4 before 21.4R3-S8, * from 22.2 before 22.2R3-S6,  * from 22.4 before 22.4R3-S2,  * from 23.2 before 23.2R2-S3,  * from 23.4 before 23.4R2. and Junos OS Evolved:  * All versions before 21.2R3-S9-EVO,  * from 21.4-EVO before 21.4R3-S8-EVO,  * from 22.2-EVO before 22.2R3-S6-EVO,  * from 22.4-EVO before 22.4R3-S2-EVO,  * from 23.2-EVO before 23.2R2-S3-EVO,  * from 23.4-EVO before 23.4R2-EVO.

An Expired Pointer Dereference vulnerability in Routing Protocol Daemon (rpd) of Juniper Networks Junos OS and Junos OS Evolved allows an unauthenticated, adjacent attacker to cause Denial of Service (DoS).On all Junos OS and Junos OS Evolved platforms, when an MPLS Label-Switched Path (LSP) is configured with node-link-protection and transport-class, and an LSP flaps, rpd crashes and restarts. Continuous flapping of LSP can cause a sustained Denial of Service (DoS) condition. An Improper Handling of Exceptional Conditions vulnerability in routing protocol daemon (rpd) of Juniper Networks Junos OS and Junos OS Evolved allows a local, low-privileged attacker executing a CLI command to cause a Denial of Service (DoS). When asregex-optimized is configured and a specific "show route as-path" CLI command is executed, the rpd crashes and restarts. A Buffer Access with Incorrect Length Value vulnerability in the routing protocol daemon (rpd) of Juniper Networks Junos OS and Junos OS Evolved allows an unauthenticated, network-based attacker to cause a Denial of Service (DoS). When an attacker sends a specific ICMPv6 packet to an interface with "protocols router-advertisement" configured, rpd crashes and restarts. An Improper Check for Unusual or Exceptional Conditions vulnerability in routing protocol daemon (rpd) of Juniper Networks Junos OS and Junos OS Evolved allows an unauthenticated, logically adjacent BGP peer to cause Denial of Service (DoS). On all Junos OS and Junos OS Evolved platforms, when BGP rib-sharding and update-threading are configured, and a BGP peer flap is done with specific timing, rpd crashes and restarts. Continuous peer flapping at specific time intervals will result in a sustained Denial of Service (DoS) condition. This issue affects eBGP and iBGP, in both IPv4 and IPv6 implementations. This issue requires a remote attacker to have at least one established BGP session. The issue can occur with or without logical-systems enabled. This issue affects: Junos OS: * All versions before 20.4R3-S8, * 21.2 versions before 21.2R3-S6, * 21.3 versions before 21.3R3-S5, * 21.4 versions before 21.4R3-S4, * 22.1 versions before 22.1R3-S3, * 22.2 versions before 22.2R3-S1, * 22.3 versions before 22.3R3, * 22.4 versions before 22.4R3. An Out-of-Bounds Read vulnerability in the routing protocol daemon (rpd) of Juniper Networks Junos OS and Junos OS Evolved allows an unauthenticated, logically adjacent BGP peer sending a specifically malformed BGP packet to cause rpd to crash and restart, resulting in a Denial of Service (DoS). Continued receipt and processing of this packet will create a sustained Denial of Service (DoS) condition. This issue only affects systems configured in either of two ways: * systems with BGP traceoptions enabled * systems with BGP family traffic-engineering (BGP-LS) configured and can be exploited from a directly connected and configured BGP peer.  This issue affects iBGP and eBGP with any address family configured, and both IPv4 and IPv6 are affected by this vulnerability. An Improper Control of a Resource Through its Lifetime vulnerability in the routing protocol daemon (rpd) of Juniper Networks Junos OS and Junos OS Evolved allows an unauthenticated network-based attacker to cause a Denial-of-Service (DoS). • Jan 6, 2025In FRRouting (FRR) before 10.3 from 6.0 onward, all routes are re-validated if the total size of an update received via RTR exceeds the internal socket's bufferCVE-2024-55553 · Other software · reported by MITREHigh 7.5

In FRRouting (FRR) before 10.3 from 6.0 onward, all routes are re-validated if the total size of an update received via RTR exceeds the internal socket's buffer size, default 4K on most OSes. An attacker can use this to trigger re-parsing of the RIB for FRR routers using RTR by causing more than this number of updates during an update interval (usually 30 minutes). Additionally, this effect regularly occurs organically. Furthermore, an attacker can use this to trigger route validation continuously. Given that routers with large full tables may need more than 30 minutes to fully re-validate the table, continuous issuance/withdrawal of large numbers of ROA may be used to impact the route handling performance of all FRR instances using RPKI globally. Additionally, the re-validation will cause heightened BMP traffic to ingestors. Fixed Versions: 10.0.3, 10.1.2, 10.2.1, >= 10.3.

Where this comes from: the exploited list is CISA’s Known Exploited Vulnerabilities catalog. Everything else is the whole National Vulnerability Database, where each record is published by the team that found the bug (Wordfence, Patchstack, WPScan, the vendors themselves and others); we show who. Exploit odds are FIRST’s EPSS, updated daily. Titles and categories are ours, so check the linked record before acting on a detail. For a write-up of the big ones, see our advisories. Every vendor, and every WordPress plugin and theme with a recorded flaw, also has its own page. All of it is free to reuse as JSON, CSV or RSS.
