  • Sep 17, 2026In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: null_blk: free zones array on device power-off null_init_zoned_dev() allocates dev->zones CVE-2026-90187 · Computers, phones & browsers · Linux · reported by 416baaa9-dc9f-4396-8d5f-8c081fb06d67

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: null_blk: free zones array on device power-off null_init_zoned_dev() allocates dev->zones when a zoned device is powered on, but null_del_dev() never frees it on power-off; dev->zones is only freed later in null_free_dev(), when the configfs directory is removed. If the device is powered off and then on again, null_init_zoned_dev() allocates a new array and overwrites the dev->zones pointer, leaking the previous allocation each power cycle. Free dev->zones in null_del_dev() via null_free_zoned_dev() to solve it. And calling null_free_zoned_dev() in null_free_dev() is no longer necessary because every caller already invokes null_del_dev() first: via nullb_group_drop_item() before nullb_device_release(), in the null_add_dev() error path of null_create_dev(), and in null_destroy_dev(). Remove the redundant call. And take &lock around zone_cond_store() in the two store wrappers to serialize dev->zones check-and-deref against its alloc/free, which already run under &lock. The reason there was no problem before is that only nullb_device_release() or null_exit() frees the dev->zones, which guarantees that subsequent u

  • Sep 17, 2026In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: platform/x86/amd/hsmp: Reject negative power cap writes in hwmon hsmp_hwmon_write() takes CVE-2026-90136 · Computers, phones & browsers · Linux · reported by 416baaa9-dc9f-4396-8d5f-8c081fb06d67

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: platform/x86/amd/hsmp: Reject negative power cap writes in hwmon hsmp_hwmon_write() takes the user-supplied hwmon value as a signed long and assigns "val / MICROWATT_PER_MILLIWATT" to msg.args[0], which is a __u32. MICROWATT_PER_MILLIWATT is an unsigned long, so a negative write to power1_cap (e.g. "echo -1 > power1_cap") is first converted to a huge unsigned value by the division and then stored into the u32 argument. As a result a nonsensical, multi-gigawatt socket power limit is sent to the SMU via HSMP_SET_SOCKET_POWER_LIMIT instead of the write being rejected. Reject negative values with -EINVAL before the conversion. Tested with HSMP enabled: CAP=$(dirname $(grep -l amd_hsmp_hwmon \ /sys/class/hwmon/hwmon*/name | head -1))/power1_cap # negative write echo -1000000 > $CAP ; echo "ret=$?" # valid positive write must still work echo 400000000 > $CAP ; echo "ret=$?" Before: # echo -1000000 > $CAP ; echo "ret=$?" ret=0 <- accepted; bogus limit sent to SMU # echo 400000000 > $CAP ; echo "ret=$?" ret=0 After: # echo -1000000 > $CAP ; echo "ret=$?" b

  • Sep 16, 2026djust provides Phoenix LiveView-style reactive server-side rendering for Django with Rust-powered performance.CVE-2026-61599 · Other software · djust-org · reported by GitHubHigh 8.8

djust provides Phoenix LiveView-style reactive server-side rendering for Django with Rust-powered performance. Prior to version 1.0.7, the djust live transport resolves the LiveView to mount from a client-supplied dotted path by calling `__import__(module_path, ...)`. The module is imported — running its top-level code (import side effects) — before the framework checks that the resolved object is a `LiveView` subclass and before any per-view authentication. The `LIVEVIEW_ALLOWED_MODULES` allowlist that should contain this is fail-open (`if allowed_modules:` — skipped when the setting is unset, the framework default) and uses loose `startswith` matching. An unauthenticated WebSocket client (the WS handshake does not require auth; per-view auth runs only after import + instantiate) can therefore send a `mount` / `live_redirect_mount` / `url_change` frame (or an SSE mount) with `view = "<any.importable.module>.AnyName"` and cause the server to import — and execute the top-level code of — any importable Python module by name. Version 1.0.7 fixes the issue with a fail-closed resolution gate (`djust._view_resolution.is_view_import_allowed`): a client view path resolves only if (a) its m

  • Sep 16, 2026djust provides Phoenix LiveView-style reactive server-side rendering for Django with Rust-powered performance.CVE-2026-61596 · Other software · djust-org · reported by GitHubHigh 7.1

djust provides Phoenix LiveView-style reactive server-side rendering for Django with Rust-powered performance. Prior to version 1.0.7, djust's per-object authorization (`get_object` + `has_object_permission`, ADR-017) was enforced on the WebSocket mount and event paths but not on three other render entry points: (a) the initial HTTP GET render, (b) SPA `url_change` navigation, and (c) `{% live_render %}` embedded child views. An authenticated user could therefore view (and on some paths act on) an object they are not authorized for by loading the page directly, navigating to it via SPA url-change, or composing it as an embedded child — a classic IDOR / broken object-level access control on object-scoped views. This is fixed in djust 1.0.7. All render entry points now route through a shared `enforce_object_permission` chokepoint: HTTP GET returns 403, `url_change` emits a `permission_denied` frame and skips the render, and `{% live_render %}` (eager + lazy) refuses the embed. Views without a custom `get_object` are unaffected (no-op). No reliable workaround short of upgrading. Do not expose object-scoped views through the HTTP-GET / url_change / live_render paths until patched.

  • Sep 16, 2026djust provides Phoenix LiveView-style reactive server-side rendering for Django with Rust-powered performance.CVE-2026-61589 · Other software · djust-org · reported by GitHubMedium 6.3

djust provides Phoenix LiveView-style reactive server-side rendering for Django with Rust-powered performance. Prior to version 1.0.7, the WebSocket `handle_mount` and `ViewRuntime._build_request` rebuild an `HttpRequest` via `RequestFactory().get(...)` with no `HTTP_HOST`, so `request.get_host()` defaulted to `"testserver"` on the live path. Host/subdomain/domain `TenantResolver`s then misresolved the tenant — `None` on the live path while the HTTP path resolved correctly. With `STRICT_MODE=False` the tenant-scoped managers returned unscoped rows (cross-tenant disclosure); with the default they returned an empty queryset (broken tenancy). This is fixed in djust 1.0.7. The handshake Host is extracted from the ASGI scope, validated against `ALLOWED_HOSTS` (the same logic as the CSWSH Origin gate, parsed with Django's `split_domain_port` so malformed Hosts are rejected at the boundary), and propagated — with the TLS scheme — into the reconstructed request, so live-path tenant resolution matches HTTP exactly. There is no known workaround on the live path short of upgrading. Users are most exposed when combined with `STRICT_MODE=False`.

  • Sep 16, 2026djust provides Phoenix LiveView-style reactive server-side rendering for Django with Rust-powered performance.CVE-2026-61588 · Other software · djust-org · reported by GitHubMedium 6.5

djust provides Phoenix LiveView-style reactive server-side rendering for Django with Rust-powered performance. Prior to version 1.0.7, when a Django `Model` instance is assigned to a public view attribute, djust serialized it to the client with no sensitive-field denylist — sending fields such as `password` (the hash), privilege flags (e.g. `is_staff` / `is_superuser`), tokens, and other PII to the browser. Because exposing model objects to templates is a normal djust pattern, this could leak credentials/PII without the developer realizing the full object crossed the wire. This is fixed in djust 1.0.7. Model serialization applies a secure-by-default sensitive-field denylist (password/hash/token/secret-style fields and known privilege flags are withheld) with an identity-subset fallback. As a workaround, keep `Model` instances on `_private` attributes and expose only the specific fields needed, until patched.

djust provides Phoenix LiveView-style reactive server-side rendering for Django with Rust-powered performance. Prior to version 1.0.7, many djust built-in component template tags (`djust.components.templatetags.*`) render a developer/user-supplied URL into an `href` / `action` attribute, HTML-escaping it with `conditional_escape` but never validating the URL scheme. HTML escaping prevents attribute breakout but does not neutralize a `javascript:` URI (which needs no escapable characters), so a URL value of `javascript:alert(document.cookie)` lands verbatim in `<a href="javascript:alert(document.cookie)">` and executes in the victim's session on click. Version 1.0.7 contains a fix. As a workaround, do not pass user-controllable URLs to the affected built-in component tags; pre-validate URL schemes in application code before binding them to component arguments.

  • Sep 16, 2026djust provides Phoenix LiveView-style reactive server-side rendering for Django with Rust-powered performance.CVE-2026-61594 · Other software · djust-org · reported by GitHubCritical 9.1

djust provides Phoenix LiveView-style reactive server-side rendering for Django with Rust-powered performance. Prior to version 1.0.7, the live (WebSocket) transport authorizes a mount via `check_view_auth`, not Django's `View.dispatch()` chain. As a result, standard Django authorization — `LoginRequiredMixin`, `PermissionRequiredMixin`, `UserPassesTestMixin`, `@method_decorator(login_required, name="dispatch")`, and custom `dispatch()` guards — and the djust admin extension's staff gate (applied only in the HTTP `as_view` wrapper) were enforced on the initial HTTP GET but silently bypassed over WebSocket, where all events and state flow. An anonymous or under-privileged client could open a WebSocket and mount such a view — including admin list/create/change/delete — and dispatch its handlers. This is fixed in djust 1.0.7. `check_view_auth` now honors the Django `AccessMixin` family on every transport; a new system check S004 fails loud at startup on auth patterns the runtime cannot safely replay (decorator/overridden-`dispatch` forms); and the admin base mixin declares `login_required = True` + an active-staff `check_permissions` gate. As a workaround, gate views using djust's `lo

djust provides Phoenix LiveView-style reactive server-side rendering for Django with Rust-powered performance. Prior to version 1.0.7, SSE sessions were keyed solely by a client-chosen `session_id` with no binding to the authenticated user — a control the WebSocket transport has but that was dropped on SSE. An attacker who learns (or a victim who leaks) a `session_id` could connect to the message endpoint and dispatch event handlers that execute with the victim's identity and state. This is fixed in djust 1.0.7. Each SSE session is bound to its owning principal at creation and cross-principal access is rejected; SSE session creation is additionally capped per principal. As a workaround, disable the SSE transport.

djust provides Phoenix LiveView-style reactive server-side rendering for Django with Rust-powered performance. Prior to version 1.0.7, for views that opt into state snapshots, the snapshot `state_json` embedded in the client page was restored on reconnect as trusted view state with no integrity check. A client could edit the unsigned `state_json` in their page and return it in the reconnect mount frame to inject arbitrary view attributes — e.g. flip `is_admin` to `True`, or change `account_id` / `balance` — escalating privilege or tampering with business state held in public view attributes (the normal djust pattern). This issue is fixed in djust 1.0.7. State snapshots are signed; unsigned or forged snapshots are rejected on the back-navigation restore path. As a workaround, do not enable state snapshots; do not hold authorization/ownership state in public view attributes.

  • Sep 16, 2026djust provides Phoenix LiveView-style reactive server-side rendering for Django with Rust-powered performance.CVE-2026-61595 · Other software · djust-org · reported by GitHubHigh 7.7

djust provides Phoenix LiveView-style reactive server-side rendering for Django with Rust-powered performance. Prior to version 1.0.7, `djust.tenants` isolation was enforced only on the HTTP path. The current tenant was stored in `threading.local()` and set exclusively by the HTTP-only `TenantMiddleware`, so on the live (WebSocket/SSE) path `get_current_tenant()` was always `None` during mount and every event handler — and the tenant-aware `QuerySet` manager failed OPEN (returned the unfiltered queryset, ignoring `STRICT_MODE`), disclosing every tenant's rows to whoever held the socket. `threading.local` was additionally shared across connections on the `sync_to_async` executor thread. This issue is fixed in djust 1.0.7. Tenant storage moved to a `contextvars.ContextVar` (per async task); the resolved tenant is bound around WS/SSE mount and every dispatch; both managers scope the base queryset once and fail CLOSED (`.none()` under the default `STRICT_MODE`); and system check S006 warns when `STRICT_MODE=False`. No known workarounds are available on the live path.

djust provides Phoenix LiveView-style reactive server-side rendering for Django with Rust-powered performance. Prior to version 1.0.7, the SSE client→server POST endpoints are `@csrf_exempt` and the SSE GET stream endpoint had no Origin check, so a cross-origin page could drive a victim-cookie-authenticated SSE session: force the victim's browser to GET the stream URL (which creates and mounts a LiveView as the victim) and POST to the message endpoint with `credentials: include` to fire state-changing event handlers as the victim. The URL `session_id` is client-chosen (validated only for UUID *format*), so it is not a CSRF token, and a JSON body sent as `text/plain` is a CORS simple request with no preflight. The issue is fixed in 1.0.7. All three SSE endpoints validate the request `Origin` against `ALLOWED_HOSTS` (mirroring the WebSocket CSWSH defense) and reject cross-origin requests with 403; the POST endpoints additionally require `Content-Type: application/json` (415 otherwise), closing the `text/plain` simple-request bypass. As a workaround, disable the SSE transport, or front it with a proxy that enforces an Origin allowlist.

djust provides Phoenix LiveView-style reactive server-side rendering for Django with Rust-powered performance. Prior to version 1.0.7, `djust.mixins.model_binding.ModelBindingMixin` provides a default `update_model` event handler and is part of the LiveView base MRO, so every LiveView exposes it. It `setattr`s a view attribute whose name is client-supplied (`field`), gated only by: reject `_`-prefixed names; reject a 14-entry denylist of framework internals (`FORBIDDEN_MODEL_FIELDS`); optional `allowed_model_fields` which defaults to None = allow all; and `hasattr` existence. As a result, a client can set any public, existing view attribute — not just the fields actually bound with `dj-model=` in the rendered template. The denylist covers framework plumbing but nothing about developer business/authz state, and the allowlist is opt-in (off by default). A developer who binds one `dj-model="search"` input and also keeps `self.account_id` / `self.is_admin` / `self.total_price` as view state does not realize a client can set ALL of them via `{type:event, event:"update_model", params:{field, value}}` over the WebSocket. Type coercion matches the target attribute's type (so `"true"` -> bo

djust provides Phoenix LiveView-style reactive server-side rendering for Django with Rust-powered performance. Prior to version 1.0.7, djust's observability endpoints expose live view/session state and a remote method-invocation surface (`eval_handler`). The localhost restriction was an opt-in middleware that the documented setup omits; the views themselves enforced only `DEBUG`. In the misconfigured-but-documented scenario (DEBUG on, middleware not installed) a non-localhost client could read live application state and invoke handlers remotely. This issue is fixed in djust 1.0.7. The localhost restriction is enforced in-view on every observability endpoint (no longer dependent on a separately-installed middleware), and `eval_handler` is restricted; gated requests receive a non-disclosing response. As a workaround, ensure `DEBUG=False` in production, and do not expose the observability endpoints to untrusted networks.

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: powerpc/kexec_file: Prevent kexec range truncation Sashiko AI review pointed out the following issue. The __merge_memory_ranges() function incorrectly handles overlapping memory ranges when merging them. Although sort_memory_ranges() sorts all ranges by their start address in ascending order beforehand, the merge logic remains defective in two ways: 1. It compares the current range's start against the previous element (i-1) instead of the running target index (idx) 2. It unconditionally overwrites 'ranges[idx].end' with 'ranges[i].end'. This logic flaw leads to critical memory truncation when a larger memory range completely subsumes subsequent smaller ranges. For example, consider a sorted input array with three ranges: Range A (idx=0): [0x1000 - 0x9000] Range B (i=1): [0x2000 - 0x5000] (completely inside Range A) Range C (i=2): [0x6000 - 0x8000] (completely inside Range A) 1. When i=1 (Range B): ranges[1].start (0x2000) <= ranges[0].end + 1 (0x9001) is TRUE. The code executes: ranges[0].end = ranges[1].end, which erroneously shrinks Range A's end from 0x9000 down to 0x5000. 2. When

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: powerpc/mm: fix wrong addr_pfn tracking in compound vmemmap population vmemmap_populate_compound_pages() uses addr_pfn to determine the PFN offset within a compound page and to decide whether the current vmemmap slot should be populated as a head page mapping or should reuse a tail page mapping. However, addr_pfn is advanced manually in parallel with addr. The loop itself progresses in vmemmap address space, so each PAGE_SIZE step in addr covers PAGE_SIZE / sizeof(struct page) struct page slots. Since addr_pfn is compared against nr_pages in data-PFN units, it should advance by the same number of PFNs. The existing manual increments do not match that and therefore do not reliably track the PFN corresponding to the current addr. As a result, pfn_offset can be computed from the wrong PFN and the code can make the head/tail decision for the wrong compound-page position. Fix this by deriving addr_pfn directly from the current vmemmap address instead of carrying it as loop state.

Tear the workqueue down through devm instead, registering its cleanup after the power supply and before the interrupt requests. devm then frees the interrupts first, so the handlers can no longer queue work, before disabling the delayed and plain work items and destroying the workqueue. Disabling the items, rather than cancelling them, keeps them disabled so no producer (including the power-supply external_power_changed callback) can requeue them. In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: power: supply: bq24257: fix use-after-free on remove The STAT-pin interrupt is devm-managed, so it stays armed until the devm cleanup that runs after remove() returns. remove() cancels bq->iilimit_setup_work while the threaded handler can still fire; that handler reschedules the work and dereferences bq, so the work runs against freed memory once devm frees bq. Make the delayed work device-managed with devm_delayed_work_autocancel(), registered before the interrupt request. The devm cleanup then releases the interrupt first, so the handler can no longer reschedule the work, and cancels the work before bq is freed. The explicit cancel_delayed_work_sync() in remove() is no longer needed and is dropped. Found by static analysis.

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: power: supply: bq256xx: drain usb_work before freeing the charger The USB-PHY notifier queues usb_work, whose handler calls power_supply_changed(bq->charger). The reset devm action only unregisters the notifier and was registered before the power supplies, so devm frees bq->charger on unwind before the action runs; a usb_work still queued can then dereference it. Register the reset action after the power supplies, so it unregisters the notifiers and drains usb_work before the supplies are released. Initialize usb_work and obtain the PHY references before registering the notifiers, so the worker cannot run before the supplies exist. Found by static analysis.

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: power: supply: charger-manager: register regulators before exposing sysfs charger_manager_remove() and the err_reg_extcon probe error path free each charger regulator with regulator_put() before tearing down the power_supply sysfs entries (power_supply_unregister()). charger_manager_remove() also calls try_charger_enable(cm, false) after the regulator_put() loop. A concurrent write to a charger's externally_control sysfs attribute that lands between regulator_put() and power_supply_unregister() can run charger_externally_control_store() and call try_charger_enable(), which, when charging is enabled, dereferences the already-freed consumer handle. When charging is enabled, try_charger_enable(cm, false) in .remove() also dereferences the freed handles directly. Both leave use-after-free windows. Symmetrically, probe registers the sysfs entries (power_supply_register) before acquiring the regulators (regulator_get, inside charger_manager_register_extcon), so userspace can reach externally_control before the regulators are available. In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: power: supply: cros_usbpd-charger: bound the EC-reported port count cros_usbpd_charger_probe() reads two port counts from the EC and uses one of them, num_charger_ports, as the loop bound when populating a fixed-size array: struct port_data *ports[EC_USB_PD_MAX_PORTS]; /* 8 entries */ ... for (i = 0; i < charger->num_charger_ports; i++) charger->ports[charger->num_registered_psy++] = port; Both num_usbpd_ports (from EC_CMD_USB_PD_PORTS) and num_charger_ports (from EC_CMD_CHARGE_PORT_COUNT) are u8 values reported by the EC. The only validation is a sanity check that compares the two EC-reported values against each other: if (num_charger_ports < num_usbpd_ports || num_charger_ports > num_usbpd_ports + 1) return -EPROTO; It never checks either count against EC_USB_PD_MAX_PORTS, the size of the ports[] array. A malfunctioning, malicious or compromised EC that reports num_usbpd_ports == num_charger_ports == N for any N > 8 (for example both 255) passes this check, and the loop then writes N pointers into the 8-entry ports[] array embedded in the devm_kzalloc()'d charger_data, overflowing it by up to 2

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: power: supply: qcom_battmgr: terminate the strings from firmware The qcom_battmgr_sc8280xp_strcpy() takes a Pascal-style string when the firmware sends one. Otherwise it copies all BATTMGR_STRING_LEN bytes and leaves the destination without a terminator. Those destinations are model_number, serial_number and oem_info, each BATTMGR_STRING_LEN and declared next to each other. They go out to user space as val->strval, which power_supply_format_property() prints with "%s", so a firmware string that fills the whole field makes that read run into the following members. Use strscpy() so the copy always terminates, the way the SM8350 path already does for the same field.

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: power: supply: twl4030_charger: cancel workers via devm bci is devm-allocated. Two workers (bci->work and bci->current_worker) dereference it. twl4030_bci_remove() disables charging and masks interrupts. It cancels neither worker. A worker pending at remove() can run after devm frees bci. The USB transceiver comes from devm_usb_get_phy_by_node(). devm unregisters its notifier only after remove() returns. A cancel_work_sync() in remove() can then race a notifier reschedule. devm_work_autocancel() and devm_delayed_work_autocancel() avoid that. They cancel the workers during devm release, before bci is freed. The current_worker is registered first, since devm will cancel in reverse order and bci->work can reschedule current_worker. Everything else is the whole National Vulnerability Database, where each record is published by the team that found the bug (Wordfence, Patchstack, WPScan, the vendors themselves and others); we show who. Exploit odds are FIRST’s EPSS, updated daily. Titles and categories are ours, so check the linked record before acting on a detail. For a write-up of the big ones, see our advisories. Every vendor, and every WordPress plugin and theme with a recorded flaw, also has its own page. All of it is free to reuse as JSON, CSV or RSS.
