Aug 31, 2026A flaw was found in popt.CVE-2026-18743 · Other software · rpm-software-management · reported by Red HatLow 2.5
A flaw was found in popt. This vulnerability allows an attacker to provide specially crafted configuration content to a host, which, when loaded, can lead to a small memory corruption issue. This occurs because of an error in how the `poptConfigFileToString` function reallocates memory for buffers. Successful exploitation could result in heap metadata corruption, potentially causing the affected process to become unavailable (denial of service).

The source-address critical option in the Permissions returned by an authentication callback was only enforced for the PublicKeyCallback and VerifiedPublicKeyCallback paths, extending the fix for CVE-2026-46595. Permissions returned by the PasswordCallback, KeyboardInteractiveCallback, NoClientAuthCallback, and GSSAPIWithMICConfig.AllowLogin callbacks were not validated against the client's remote address, so a source-address restriction set by those callbacks was silently ignored. Aug 27, 2026Improper neutralization of delimiters in connection-URL construction allows connection-option injection in the MongoDB C# Driver.CVE-2026-81529 · Other software · MongoDB · reported by cna@mongodb.comHigh 7.1
Improper neutralization of delimiters in connection-URL construction allows connection-option injection in the MongoDB C# Driver. When an application passes untrusted text into the driver's connection-URL builder and round-trips the builder back into a client configuration, the untrusted text is serialized without neutralizing the URL/option delimiters and is then re-parsed as authoritative connection options. A low-privileged user of such an application can thereby introduce or suppress security-relevant connection settings.

openssl-encrypt before 1.4.9 fails to redact the file password in its --debug argv dump when the password is supplied via bundled short-option spellings (e.g. -apHunter2) or abbreviated long-option spellings (e.g. --passw). Aug 26, 2026bestzip builds the argument list for the system zip utility without separating options from operands.CVE-2026-80427 · Other software · nfriedly · reported by VulnCheckHigh 8.6
bestzip builds the argument list for the system zip utility without separating options from operands. The destination archive path and the caller-supplied source paths are passed to the child process with no -- delimiter between them, so any source entry beginning with a hyphen is interpreted by zip as an option rather than a file name. zip accepts -T to test the finished archive and -TT to name the command used to perform that test, so a source list containing those two entries and a command string causes zip to run that command through a shell once the archive has been written. An application that passes a file name or path it received from an untrusted source into the bestzip API therefore executes a command of the supplier's choosing. Versions 2.2.6 and 3.0.2 add the delimiter.

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: mptcp: avoid combining some incoming suboptions Some MPTCP suboptions are mutually exclusive according to the RFC8684, but also because in different places, the code doesn't expect some combinations to be present. That's specially true for suboptions that would be present twice, but with different attributes. The new restrictions are the same as the ones applied on the output side, with mptcp_write_options. The same rules can be reused with a small fix: an MP_FASTCLOSE can be used with a DSS when the sender picks this option [1], which is not the case on Linux. Here are the rules: Which options can be used together? X: mutually exclusive O: often used together C: can be used together in some cases P: could be used together but we prefer not to (optimisations) | Opt: | MPC | MPJ | DSS | ADD | RM | PRIO | FAIL | FC | |------|------|------|------|------|------|------|------|------| | MPC |------|------|------|------|------|------|------|------| | MPJ | X |------|------|------|------|------|------|------| | DSS | X | X |------|------|------|------|------|------| | ADD |

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: riscv: lib: Fix ZBB strnlen reading past count boundary The ZBB-optimized strnlen loop loads one word ahead before checking the aligned boundary: REG_L t1, SZREG(t0) // load next word addi t0, t0, SZREG // advance orc.b t1, t1 bgeu t0, t4, 4f // boundary check AFTER load where t4 = (s + count) & -SZREG. When s is aligned and count is a multiple of SZREG, t4 equals s + count and the loop loads a full word starting at exactly s + count. If s + count falls on a page boundary with the next page unmapped, this faults. Fix by computing the aligned boundary from the last valid byte (s + count - 1) instead of s + count. This makes the loop stop at the word containing the last valid byte rather than potentially loading the word after it. The count == 0 case is already handled by the beqz early exit. Also add a pre-loop guard (bgeu t0, t4) for the case where all valid bytes fit within the first word. With the adjusted boundary, t4 can equal t0, and entering the loop with stale register state from the first-word processing would produce incorrect results. The final mi

Aug 24, 2026LearnPress: Unauthorized modification of arbitrary WordPress optionsCVE-2026-75982 · WordPress plugins & themes · reported by WordfenceMedium 4.4
The LearnPress plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to unauthorized modification of arbitrary WordPress options in versions up to, and including, 4.4.4 via the learnpress_create_page AJAX action. The LP_Admin_Ajax::create_page() handler only checks the edit_pages capability and a wp_rest nonce (both available to Editors), then reads the field_name parameter from the request without restricting it to a learn_press_* allow-list before passing it as the option key to LP_Helper::create_page(), which calls update_option($key_option, $page_id). This makes it possible for authenticated attackers, with Editor-level access and above, to update arbitrary WordPress options to a positive integer (a newly created page ID), enabling actions such as flipping users_can_register to a truthy value to open public registration, corrupting active_plugins to break the site, or otherwise tampering with site-wide settings normally reserved for administrators.

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: net/atm: fix slab-out-of-bounds read in vcc_setsockopt() vcc_setsockopt() contained an ineffective optlen check: if (__SO_LEVEL_MATCH(optname, level) && optlen != __SO_SIZE(optname)) return -EINVAL; If __SO_LEVEL_MATCH(optname, level) evaluated to false (e.g. if the caller passed a mismatched level), the length check optlen != __SO_SIZE(optname) was short-circuited and bypassed. Execution then fell through to switch(optname), calling copy_from_sockptr() assuming optval contained sufficient space. Furthermore, even if level matched, a cgroup BPF setsockopt filter could shrink optlen after entry. Because copy_from_sockptr() on kernel pointers uses memcpy(), this leads to a KASAN slab-out-of-bounds read when optlen is smaller than the expected structure size. Fix this by using copy_safe_from_sockptr(), which unconditionally validates that optlen is at least the expected size before copying. Also change the local 'value' variable type from 'unsigned long' to 'int' so that SO_SETCLP matches its sizeof(int) ABI encoding on 64-bit systems.

Aug 22, 2026In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: ipvs: clear IPv4 options after rebasing tunnel ICMP errors ip_vs_in_icmp() rebases an skb CVE-2026-74669 · Computers, phones & browsers · Linux · reported by 416baaa9-dc9f-4396-8d5f-8c081fb06d67Critical 9.8
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: ipvs: clear IPv4 options after rebasing tunnel ICMP errors ip_vs_in_icmp() rebases an skb from the outer ICMP packet to the quoted original request before passing it to icmp_send(). However, IPCB(skb)->opt still describes the outer IPv4 header. A timestamp option in the outer header can therefore leave an offset that points into the quoted transport header after the rebase. __ip_options_echo() treats a byte at that stale location as the option length and copies it into the fixed-size option storage on the __icmp_send() stack, causing a stack out-of-bounds write. Clear the stale option metadata after resetting the network header. Keep the remaining control block fields, including the ingress interface used by the ICMP response path.

Aug 22, 2026In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: tls: rx: restore msg_iter before TLS 1.3 optimistic retry tls_decrypt_sg() advances msg->mCVE-2026-74611 · Computers, phones & browsers · Linux · reported by 416baaa9-dc9f-4396-8d5f-8c081fb06d67Critical 9.8
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: tls: rx: restore msg_iter before TLS 1.3 optimistic retry tls_decrypt_sg() advances msg->msg_iter when it maps user pages for the optimistic TLS 1.3 zero-copy path. If the decrypted record turns out not to be unpadded application data, tls_decrypt_sw() retries into a kernel skb, but leaves the iterator advanced. The subsequent copy from the skb then writes decrypted bytes again at a later point in the caller iovecs while recvmsg() reports only the post-retry length. A TLS peer can trigger this after the receiver enables TLS_RX_EXPECT_NO_PAD. Revert the iterator by the number of bytes consumed by the optimistic mapping before retrying without zero-copy. Add a selftest which sends a TLS 1.3 control record with TLS_RX_EXPECT_NO_PAD enabled and verifies that recvmsg() does not overwrite later iovecs beyond the returned length.

Aug 22, 2026In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: ipv6: fix Route Information option length validation rt6_route_rcv() validates the Route ICVE-2026-74598 · Computers, phones & browsers · Linux · reported by 416baaa9-dc9f-4396-8d5f-8c081fb06d67High 7.5
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: ipv6: fix Route Information option length validation rt6_route_rcv() validates the Route Information option (RFC 4191) length against the prefix length, but both checks are off by one. rinfo->length is the ND option length in units of 8 octets and it *includes* the 8-byte option header, so an option carrying N bytes of prefix has length == 1 + N/8. RFC 4191 section 2.3 requires length 3 when Prefix Length is greater than 64, and 2 or 3 when it is greater than 0. The code accepts length >= 2 and length >= 1 respectively. ipv6_addr_prefix() then copies prefix_len/8 bytes out of rinfo->prefix, so a Router Advertisement with (prefix_len=128, length=2) or (prefix_len=64, length=1) makes the kernel read up to 8 bytes past the end of the option. Those bytes end up in the prefix of the route that gets installed, so they are visible to userspace: # RA with a Route Information option (prefix_len=128, length=2) # followed by a source link-layer address option, 01 01 de ad be ef ca fe $ ip -6 route show 2001:db8:dead:beef:101:dead:beef:cafe via fe80::1234 dev veth0 proto ra ^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^

better-npm-audit through 3.11.0, and the 4.0.0-rc.2 prerelease, builds its npm audit command by interpolating the user-supplied --registry option into a command string in src/handlers/handleInput.ts without validation or quoting, then passes that string to child_process.exec() in index.ts, which spawns a shell. A registry value containing shell metacharacters such as a semicolon, pipe, or command substitution executes arbitrary operating system commands with the privileges of the process running the audit.

Aug 21, 2026TensorZero is an open-source LLMOps platform that unifies an LLM gateway, observability, evaluation, optimization, and experimentation.CVE-2026-54457 · Other software · tensorzero · reported by GitHubHigh 7.7
TensorZero is an open-source LLMOps platform that unifies an LLM gateway, observability, evaluation, optimization, and experimentation. Prior to 2026.6.0, the TensorZero Gateway /internal/object_storage endpoint accepts a caller-supplied JSON storage_path parameter that dynamically overrides the [object_storage] configuration. Selecting the filesystem storage type allows arbitrary files on the gateway filesystem to be read, including credential files. Selecting the s3_compatible storage type causes outbound object-storage requests to attacker-chosen internal or cloud-metadata endpoints. Exploitation requires access to the gateway, which can be authenticated or unauthenticated depending on deployment configuration. This issue is fixed in version 2026.6.0.

Aug 19, 2026The IPv6 neighbor-discovery code in subsys/net/ip/ipv6_nbr.c processes the 6LoWPAN Context Option (6CO, RFC 6775) carried inside ICMPv6 Router Advertisements.CVE-2026-12633 · Other software · zephyrproject · reported by vulnerabilities@zephyrproject.orgHigh 8.1
The IPv6 neighbor-discovery code in subsys/net/ip/ipv6_nbr.c processes the 6LoWPAN Context Option (6CO, RFC 6775) carried inside ICMPv6 Router Advertisements. In handle_ra_6co() the 8-bit context_len field is taken directly from the packet and was never bounded to the RFC maximum of 128. The function computes context->context_len / 8 and then performs memset(context->prefix + context_len, 0, sizeof(context->prefix) - context_len), where context->prefix is a fixed 16-byte array. With context_len between 136 and 255 (and the option length field set to 3, which the pre-fix validation accepts), context_len / 8 evaluates to 17..31, so the memset length 16 - context_len/8 underflows the unsigned size_t argument to roughly SIZE_MAX. This produces an unbounded out-of-bounds memset that zeroes kernel memory well past the 6lo context structure. The defect is reachable from unauthenticated, link-local input: any host on the same link can send a crafted Router Advertisement with a 6CO option. The RA handler validates only the option length field before calling handle_ra_6co(), so a single packet triggers the wild write. The code is compiled when CONFIG_NET_6LO_CONTEXT is enabled.
