A VideoStreaming interface reports the size of its whole class-specific descriptor block in the `wTotalLength` field of its input header. The USBX host recorded that figure and used it as the budget for walking the format, frame and frame-interval descriptors, without holding it against the configuration descriptor actually received. A device that reports a `wTotalLength` larger than the descriptors it supplies therefore had its own claim believed. Once the real bytes ran out the walk kept going, dereferencing the cursor past the end of the configuration buffer, in the host's context, whenever the application queried format or frame data.

  • Oct 19, 2026Cpanel::JSON::XS versions from 4.42 before 4.80 for Perl let input chunking change the decoded value of top-level numbers in incr_parse.CVE-2026-110682 · Other software · reported by 9b29abf9-4ab0-4765-b253-1875cd9b441eHigh 7.5

Cpanel::JSON::XS versions from 4.42 before 4.80 for Perl let input chunking change the decoded value of top-level numbers in incr_parse. allow_nonref is enabled by default and incr_parse inherits it. A top-level number, true, false or null has no closing delimiter, so the incremental parser decodes whatever has arrived. The bytes 12 decode as one value when read together, but as 1 and then 2 when split across two reads. A peer that can influence read boundaries can change how many messages a stream consumer decodes and what values they carry.

  • Oct 19, 2026Cpanel::JSON::XS versions before 4.80 for Perl allow memory exhaustion by buffering incremental input past max_size in incr_parse.CVE-2026-110678 · Other software · reported by 9b29abf9-4ab0-4765-b253-1875cd9b441eHigh 7.5

Cpanel::JSON::XS versions before 4.80 for Perl allow memory exhaustion by buffering incremental input past max_size in incr_parse. The parser appends each chunk to its buffer. In scalar or list context, it compares max_size with how far it has progressed, not with the buffer length. A chunk that starts with a NUL byte stops the parser before it progresses, and a call in void context skips the check, so the buffer grows without limit. A peer streaming data to an incr_parse consumer can exhaust process memory regardless of max_size.

  • Oct 19, 2026Unchecked input for a loop condition in Progressive Robot hMailServer 6.0.0 through 6.3.6 allows a remote unauthenticated attacker to stop the server carrying mCVE-2026-107569 · Other software · Progressive Robot Ltd · reported by cve@gitlab.comHigh 7.5

Unchecked input for a loop condition in Progressive Robot hMailServer 6.0.0 through 6.3.6 allows a remote unauthenticated attacker to stop the server carrying mail. The server bounds the mail it generates in response to a message - a rule forward, reply or copy, an account forward, a Sieve redirect, vacation or notify, a bounce, an out-of-office reply - by a counter it carries in the message's X-hMailServer-LoopCount header, and makes no more once the counter reaches the configured rule loop limit (5 by default); that is what ends a forwarding or auto-reply cycle in a bounded number of hops. X-hMailServer-LoopCount is an ordinary header that is not stripped from mail arriving from outside, and the server read it with a signed conversion and no validation, so a count below zero passed every test against the limit: a sender who sets X-hMailServer-LoopCount to a negative value, or on the Linux builds to a value above the 32-bit signed range that the conversion wraps to a negative one, lifts the bound, and a message that enters a generated-mail cycle then loops up to about two thousand million times, each hop a queued message and a delivery, filling the queue and disk and stopping mail

  • Oct 19, 2026Improper Input Validation vulnerability in Apache Camel Mail component.CVE-2026-85314 · Email & office · Apache Software Foundation · reported by security@apache.orgMedium 6.5

Improper Input Validation vulnerability in Apache Camel Mail component. This issue affects Apache Camel: from 4.0.0 before 4.18.5, from 4.19.0 before 4.22.1. CVE-2026-46584 addressed mail headers reaching the Exchange without passing through a header filter, but the MimeMultipart data format retained an unfiltered path: unmarshalling a multipart message mapped mail.smtp headers onto the Exchange with no filter applied. Those names sit outside the Camel namespace that consumer filters block, so a message crafted by an external sender could still set them, and the mail.smtp namespace influences how a downstream mail producer connects and sends. This is an incomplete fix of CVE-2026-46584 rather than a new class of defect: a deployment that applied that advisory and considered camel-mail settled remained exposed on this path. Upgrade to Apache Camel 4.23.0, which fixes the issue. Users on the 4.18.x LTS releases stream should upgrade to 4.18.5. Users on the 4.22.x LTS releases stream should upgrade to 4.22.1. The MimeMultipart data format now applies the header filter on unmarshal, closing the path CVE-2026-46584 left open. For deployments that cannot upgrade immediately, strip the

  • Oct 19, 2026Improper Input Validation vulnerability in Apache Camel Core component.CVE-2026-85312 · Email & office · Apache Software Foundation · reported by security@apache.orgMedium 4.8

Improper Input Validation vulnerability in Apache Camel Core component. This issue affects Apache Camel: from 4.0.0 before 4.18.5, from 4.19.0 before 4.22.1. The saga processor consulted a header named Long-Running-Action to decide which saga an exchange belonged to. The name carries no Camel prefix, so it sits outside the namespace that consumer header filters block, and an external sender could supply it on an inbound message. That let the sender name the saga the exchange joined, attaching their request to a long-running action started by someone else, or causing compensation to be associated with an action they did not initiate. The header is only consulted by a saga service that uses it, which bounds the exposure to deployments running sagas over an LRA coordinator. Upgrade to Apache Camel 4.23.0, which fixes the issue. Users on the 4.18.x LTS releases stream should upgrade to 4.18.5. Users on the 4.22.x LTS releases stream should upgrade to 4.22.1. The header is now consulted only for a saga service that actually uses it, rather than on every exchange. • Oct 19, 2026Improper Input Validation vulnerability in Apache Camel Tika component.CVE-2026-85249 · Email & office · Apache Software Foundation · reported by security@apache.orgMedium 6.5

Improper Input Validation vulnerability in Apache Camel Tika component. This issue affects Apache Camel: from 4.0.0 before 4.18.5, from 4.19.0 before 4.22.1. The Tika producer mapped every metadata key parsed out of the submitted document onto the Exchange as a header, with no filter applied. Document metadata is attacker-controlled content: the party that supplies the file chooses the metadata keys it carries. A crafted document could therefore set Exchange headers that the rest of the route depends on, including headers in the Camel namespace such as CamelFileName, which downstream components use to decide where content is written. The pattern is the same header-injection class as the consumer advisories published previously, reached here through parsed file content rather than through a protocol header. Upgrade to Apache Camel 4.23.0, which fixes the issue. Users on the 4.18.x LTS releases stream should upgrade to 4.18.5. Users on the 4.22.x LTS releases stream should upgrade to 4.22.1. Parsed document metadata is now filtered through a HeaderFilterStrategy before it is mapped onto the Exchange. A route that was reading a metadata-derived header the filter now blocks will see

The Management Console fails to properly validate input related to the configuration of JDBC user stores. This weakness allows an attacker to supply specially crafted input that can lead to the execution of arbitrary code on the affected server. Successful exploitation of this vulnerability enables an attacker to execute arbitrary code on the server with the privileges of the WSO2 product. This could lead to a full compromise of the system.

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: ALSA: caiaq: unregister the input device when probe fails setup_card() registers the input device, whose name and phys point into struct snd_usb_caiaqdev, and then goes on to snd_card_register() and snd_usb_caiaq_control_init(). If either fails, snd_probe() calls snd_card_free(), which frees the device state but leaves the input device registered: card_free() only clears the pointer, and the input device is unregistered from snd_disconnect() alone. Reading its "uevent" attribute afterwards dereferences freed memory: BUG: KASAN: slab-use-after-free in string+0x4a9/0x4f0 Read of size 1 at addr ffff8880208f5043 by task caiaq/4967 add_uevent_var+0x183/0x3a0 input_dev_uevent+0x162/0x900 dev_uevent+0x2f1/0x870 uevent_show+0x1ca/0x3a0 ... Unregister the input device on the probe error path, as snd_disconnect() does. snd_usb_caiaq_input_disconnect() is a no-op when no input device was registered. • Oct 18, 2026In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: HID: alps: unregister DualPoint Stick input device on remove alps_input_configured() allocCVE-2026-98502 · Computers, phones & browsers · Linux · reported by 416baaa9-dc9f-4396-8d5f-8c081fb06d67

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: HID: alps: unregister DualPoint Stick input device on remove alps_input_configured() allocates a second input device ("DualPoint Stick") with input_allocate_device() and registers it, but the alps_driver struct has no .remove handler and input2 is not tracked in hdev->inputs. The default remove path (hid_hw_stop -> hidinput_disconnect) only iterates hdev->inputs, so input2 is never unregistered and leaks on every device removal. Add a .remove handler that stops the device first (preventing URB callbacks from touching input2 during teardown) and then unregisters input2.

  • Oct 18, 2026In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: HID: alps: fix use-after-free on input2 registration failure alps_input_configured() storeCVE-2026-98501 · Computers, phones & browsers · Linux · reported by 416baaa9-dc9f-4396-8d5f-8c081fb06d67High 7.1

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: HID: alps: fix use-after-free on input2 registration failure alps_input_configured() stores data->input2 before calling input_register_device(). If registration fails, input_free_device() frees the input device but data->input2 still points to the freed memory. alps_input_configured() calls hid_hw_open() before allocating input2, so URBs are already active and raw_event can fire during the failure window. A U1_SP_ABSOLUTE_REPORT_ID report arriving then causes u1_raw_event() to dereference the freed data->input2 -> use-after-free. Fix by only storing input2 into drvdata after successful registration and adding a NULL guard in the raw_event path.

  • Oct 16, 2026Text::CSV_XS versions before 1.65 for Perl return a 0xFF byte that is not in the input for an empty last field followed by a lone CR in parse.CVE-2026-110759 · Other software · reported by 9b29abf9-4ab0-4765-b253-1875cd9b441eCritical 9.8

Text::CSV_XS versions before 1.65 for Perl return a 0xFF byte that is not in the input for an empty last field followed by a lone CR in parse. When the input to parse ends in a separator and a lone CR, the parser treats the end of the input as the next character and stores the end-of-file marker in the field as the byte 0xFF. With binary set, parse("a,\r") returns the fields "a" and "\xFF". On UTF-8 flagged input the last field is a UTF-8 flagged string holding that lone byte, which is malformed UTF-8. The same input with a non-empty last field is rejected as an error. A CRLF file read line by line and chomped ends this way when its last column is empty, so the application receives a byte that is not in its input.

  • Oct 16, 2026Text::CSV_XS versions before 1.65 for Perl allow quadratic CPU use by copying the unparsed remainder per record of CR-only input in getline.CVE-2026-110755 · Other software · reported by 9b29abf9-4ab0-4765-b253-1875cd9b441eHigh 7.5

Text::CSV_XS versions before 1.65 for Perl allow quadratic CPU use by copying the unparsed remainder per record of CR-only input in getline. With eol unset, the default, getline reads with Perl's default line separator, so input with CR-only line endings arrives as one chunk. After each record the parser copies the whole unparsed remainder into a new buffer, which the next call parses and copies again, so the work grows with the square of the input size. A reader with default options that is sent CSV with classic Mac line endings spends seconds of CPU time on a megabyte of input.
