  • Aug 31, 2026elFinder is an open-source file manager for web, written in JavaScript using jQuery UI.CVE-2026-81891 · Other software · Studio-42 · reported by GitHubHigh 8.1

elFinder is an open-source file manager for web, written in JavaScript using jQuery UI. Prior to 2.1.70, checkExtractItems() in php/elFinderVolumeDriver.class.php calls mimetypeInternalDetect() without passing the result through mimeTypeNormalize(). Because the .phtml, .phar, .php5, and .php3 extensions are absent from mime.types, the staticMimeMap entries that map them to text/x-php are not applied, and allowPutMime() permits extraction even when uploadDeny blocks text/x-php. An attacker with ZIP upload permission can extract PHP-executable files into a web-accessible files/ directory and achieve remote code execution when the server executes those extensions. This issue is fixed in version 2.1.70.

  • Aug 31, 2026elFinder is an open-source file manager for web, written in JavaScript using jQuery UI.CVE-2026-81890 · Other software · Studio-42 · reported by GitHubMedium 5.4

elFinder is an open-source file manager for web, written in JavaScript using jQuery UI. Prior to 2.1.70, the netmount command is omitted from elFinderConnector::$csrfProtectedCmds in php/elFinderConnector.class.php, so validateCsrfToken() is not called for this state-changing operation. In the shipped php/connector.minimal.php-dist configuration, FTP network mounts are enabled by default, and attacker-controlled protocol, host, path, port, user, pass, alias, and options arguments flow through elFinder::netmount() in php/elFinder.class.php to php/elFinderVolumeFTP.class.php. A cross-site request can therefore persist an attacker-chosen FTP mount in the victim's session, cause the PHP server to connect to an attacker-chosen FTP host and port, and send supplied credentials without an X-elFinder-CSRF token. This issue is fixed in version 2.1.70.

  • Aug 31, 2026elFinder is an open-source file manager for web, written in JavaScript using jQuery UI.CVE-2026-81889 · Other software · Studio-42 · reported by GitHubHigh 8.6

elFinder is an open-source file manager for web, written in JavaScript using jQuery UI. Prior to 2.1.70, elFinder URL uploads in php/elFinder.class.php can bypass server-side request forgery protections when PHP cURL is unavailable because validate_address() validates $info['ip'], but get_remote_contents() selects fsock_get_contents(), which connects to $arr['host'] and performs a second DNS resolution. An attacker able to submit a URL upload can use DNS rebinding to have the first resolution return a public address and the connection resolution return a loopback or private address, causing the internal HTTP response body to be stored as an uploaded file and made readable through elFinder. After a successful fetch, get_headers($url, true) separately requests the original hostname without reusing the validated and pinned connection, creating an additional blind server-side request forgery path even when curl_get_contents() is selected. This issue is fixed in version 2.1.70.

This code uses the "found" variable to determine if we have found the doorbell we are looking for or not. However, the problem that the "found" variable needs to be set to false at the start of each iteration, otherwise after the first correct doorbell, then everything is marked as found. Reset the "found" to false at the start of the iteration and move the variable inside the loop.

  • Aug 24, 2026Label Studio does not scope the annotation detail endpoint to the requesting user's organization.CVE-2026-76073 · Other software · HumanSignal · reported by VulnCheckHigh 8.7

Label Studio does not scope the annotation detail endpoint to the requesting user's organization. AnnotationAPI in label_studio/tasks/api.py declares queryset = Annotation.objects.all() and provides no get_queryset override, so the default lookup retrieves any annotation by primary key. The view's permission_required entries name annotations.view, annotations.change and annotations.delete, and label_studio/core/permissions.py registers every permission with rules.is_authenticated, so the check is satisfied by any logged-in account and no object-level organization test runs. The sibling task endpoint does constrain its queryset with project__organization set to the requester's active organization, which is the boundary this path omits. Annotation identifiers are sequential integers, so an authenticated user of one organization can enumerate identifiers to read, modify and delete annotations belonging to other organizations on the same instance. The same unscoped queryset appears on AnnotationConvertAPI in the same file.

The Hearing Access Service (HAS) GATT server in subsys/bluetooth/audio/has.c installs a connection-callback set unconditionally via BT_CONN_CB_DEFINE, so security_changed() runs for every connection that establishes security even before the application has called bt_has_register(). The service attribute pointers hearing_aid_features_attr, preset_control_point_attr, and active_preset_index_attr remain NULL until bt_has_register() resolves them and sets has.registered. With CONFIG_BT_SETTINGS, settings_set_cb() restores each bonded client's persisted context at boot and unconditionally sets context->flags to BONDED_CLIENT_INIT_FLAGS (non-zero). When a previously bonded peer reconnects and re-establishes security during the startup window before bt_has_register() has been called, security_changed() sees the non-zero flags and schedules notify_work_handler, which calls bt_gatt_is_subscribed() with a still-NULL attribute pointer. That triggers an assertion (__ASSERT(attr, ...) in bt_gatt_is_subscribed()), or a NULL dereference of attr->uuid when assertions are compiled out. The result is a remotely triggerable (Bluetooth, adjacent) crash of the HAS peripheral. Exploitation requires th

In Splunk Enterprise versions below 10.4.2, 10.2.6, 10.0.9, and 9.4.14, a user who holds the "power" Splunk role could store a Dashboard Studio workflow action containing attacker-controlled Search Processing Language (SPL). When another authenticated user selects the action from Event Actions and selects Continue, Splunk Enterprise runs the injected SPL using the permissions of that user. The injected SPL could access or modify data available to that user. The vulnerability is possible because Dashboard Studio does not sufficiently validate workflow-action URLs before submitting requests. The vulnerability requires the attacker to phish the affected user by tricking them into initiating a request within their browser. The user who holds the "power" Splunk role should not be able to exploit the vulnerability at will.

  • Aug 19, 2026MyBooks is anebook management web server also known as Talebook.CVE-2026-45274 · Other software · PoxenStudio · reported by GitHubMedium 6.9

MyBooks is anebook management web server also known as Talebook. In 3.41.2 and earlier, the SignUp.post handler for POST /api/user/sign_up in webserver/handlers/user.py does not enforce the ALLOW_REGISTER configuration flag, even though the frontend hides registration controls when the flag is false. An unauthenticated remote attacker can call the endpoint directly and create a valid account on an instance whose administrator disabled public registration. The process_auth_header function in webserver/handlers/base.py also does not verify the account's active flag, so the newly created and unactivated account can authenticate immediately and access user-level API functionality. The bypass defeats the intended account-creation policy and can supply the low-privilege account required by related authorization vulnerabilities. This issue is fixed in version 3.42.0.

  • Aug 19, 2026MyBooks is an ebook management web server also known as Talebook.CVE-2026-45273 · Other software · PoxenStudio · reported by GitHubHigh 8.7

MyBooks is an ebook management web server also known as Talebook. In 3.41.2 and earlier, the AdminSettings.post handler for POST /api/admin/settings in webserver/handlers/admin.py applies the auth decorator but does not check the self.admin_user property, unlike the corresponding GET handler. Any authenticated regular user can therefore overwrite server configuration values including SMTP credentials, OAuth client secrets, storage paths, security feature flags, and autoreload settings. The process_auth_header function in webserver/handlers/base.py also fails to verify the matched account's active flag, allowing a registered but unactivated account to authenticate and reach the vulnerable handler. Exploitation can disclose secrets through configuration access paths, sabotage application behavior, force service restarts, and supply the settings needed for related code-injection attacks. This issue is fixed in version 3.42.0.

  • Aug 19, 2026MyBooks is an enhanced and easy-to-use personal ebook management web server also known as Talebook.CVE-2026-45272 · Other software · PoxenStudio · reported by GitHubCritical 9.4

MyBooks is an enhanced and easy-to-use personal ebook management web server also known as Talebook. In 3.41.2 and earlier, the AdminSettings.post handler in webserver/handlers/admin.py accepts SOCIAL_AUTH key names without validating quotes or newline characters, and SettingsLoader.dumpfile in webserver/loader.py concatenates those names into the generated Python source file auto.py without escaping them. An administrator can submit a crafted SOCIAL_AUTH key name that closes the settings dictionary and injects arbitrary Python statements. The application later executes those statements because SettingsLoader.loadfile imports auto.py as a module, and setting autoreload to true invokes restart_async so a process supervisor restarts the service and triggers the import. Successful exploitation executes commands with the privileges of the application service account and can disclose data, modify files, establish persistence, or disrupt the service. Related authorization and registration vulnerabilities can reduce the effective privilege requirement in a chained attack, but the standalone vulnerability requires administrator access. This issue is fixed in version 3.42.0.

Blueprint Studio is a VS Code-like file editor for Home Assistant configuration files. Prior to 2.5.2, Blueprint Studio configured Git's credential.helper store when saving Git credentials, causing Git credential-store to persist usernames and access tokens in plaintext in the .git-credentials file for the user running Home Assistant. Tokens could remain outside Blueprint Studio's intended Home Assistant storage and be read by other users or processes with access to the same filesystem context. The persistent helper configuration also affected later Git operations beyond the immediate Blueprint Studio action. This issue is fixed in version 2.5.2.

  • Aug 18, 2026Blueprint Studio is a VS Code-like file editor for Home Assistant configuration files.CVE-2026-53453 · Other software · ha-china · reported by GitHubHigh 8.7

Blueprint Studio is a VS Code-like file editor for Home Assistant configuration files. Prior to 2.5.2, Blueprint Studio exposed administrator-intended backend API actions to any authenticated Home Assistant user because the backend did not consistently enforce the panel's admin-only authorization boundary. Affected surfaces included the backend API, upload API, stream routes, terminal WebSocket, Blueprint Studio WebSocket subscriptions, call_service, render_template, global_replace, file and stream access paths, upload handling, and terminal helpers. A non-admin user could invoke arbitrary Home Assistant services, expose Home Assistant state through templates, modify configuration files, access streamed or downloaded configuration content, upload files, or reach terminal-related helpers. These actions could compromise the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of the Home Assistant installation. This issue is fixed in version 2.5.2.

Pydio Cells 5.0.0 through 5.0.2 returns share-link details to any authenticated user. The REST handler for GET /a/share/link/{Uuid} in idm/share/rest/handler.go reads the workspace UUID from the path, calls LinkById, and writes the result with no authorization step, whereas the sibling handler for GET /a/share/cell/{Uuid} loads the workspace and requires MatchPolicies with ResourcePolicyAction_READ, returning a not-found error so that existence is not disclosed. Nothing compensates further down: GetLinkWorkspace reaches GetOrCreateWorkspace, which issues SearchWorkspace with a query carrying no ResourcePolicyQuery, and PrepareResourcePolicyQuery returns the query unmodified when that field is nil, so the workspace service applies no policy filter. The workspace UUID is not secret, because the unauthenticated public page served for a share link embeds it as START_REPOSITORY. Any account holding a standard user role can therefore submit the UUID and receive the link hash and URL, the owner's user identifier, the hidden share user login, the permission set, the download limit and count, the target users, the expiry, and the password-required flag, while a direct read of the shared nod

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: ALSA: usb-audio: fix use-after-free in ump_to_endpoint() create_midi2_ump() registers a card-owned snd_ump_endpoint and stores a back-pointer to its per-interface snd_usb_midi2_ump object in ump->private_data, but it never installs an ump->private_free hook and never clears that pointer. If a later step of snd_usb_midi_v2_create() fails, its error path calls free_all_midi2_umps(), which kfree()s the snd_usb_midi2_ump object while the already-registered endpoint keeps pointing at it. The created /dev/snd/umpC*D* node stays exposed, so the first operation of any UMP open, ump_to_endpoint(), dereferences the dangling ump->private_data and reads rmidi->eps[dir] out of freed memory. A malicious USB MIDI 2.0 device that makes creation fail after the endpoint is registered can thus trigger a slab use-after-free read on a subsequent open of the UMP node. Clear the endpoint's back-pointer before freeing the object, and let ump_to_endpoint() tolerate a NULL private_data so the open/close/trigger callbacks fail cleanly (their callers already handle a NULL endpoint) instead of dereferencing a stale pointer. In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: ALSA: usb-audio: fix stack info leak in RME Digiface status snd_rme_digiface_read_status() reads a four-word status block from the device into an uninitialised on-stack __le32 buf[4] and, whenever the vendor control-IN transfer does not return a negative error, copies all four words into the caller's status[]. snd_usb_ctl_msg() copies the full requested size back into the caller's buffer regardless of how many bytes the data stage actually delivered: buf = kmemdup(data, size, GFP_KERNEL); err = usb_control_msg(dev, pipe, request, requesttype, value, index, buf, size, timeout); memcpy(data, buf, size); usb_control_msg() returns the transferred length on a short control-IN, which is a non-negative value, and writes only that many bytes. The remainder of the copy back is the kmemdup()ed image of the caller's buffer, so a device answering with a short data stage leaves the trailing words of buf[] holding leftover kernel stack. The only guard in the caller is err < 0, so those words are stored into status[]. They then reach user space: snd_rme_digiface_get_status_val() selects a 16-bit halfword of st

  • Aug 15, 2026In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: ALSA: usb-audio: fix OOB write in snd_usbmidi_akai_output() snd_usbmidi_akai_output() compCVE-2026-74499 · Computers, phones & browsers · Linux · reported by 416baaa9-dc9f-4396-8d5f-8c081fb06d67

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: ALSA: usb-audio: fix OOB write in snd_usbmidi_akai_output() snd_usbmidi_akai_output() computes its fill-loop bound buf_end = ep->max_transfer - MAX_AKAI_SYSEX_LEN - 1; as a signed int, so a small device-advertised bulk-OUT max_transfer makes buf_end negative. The loop guard then compares the u32 urb->transfer_buffer_length against that negative int: the usual arithmetic conversion turns buf_end into a large unsigned value, so the guard stays true and each iteration keeps appending SysEx framing and payload bytes past the end of the URB transfer buffer, which is only max_transfer bytes long. A USB device that advertises a tiny bulk-OUT endpoint can therefore trigger an attacker-length- and content-controlled heap out-of-bounds write when a process writes to the created /dev/snd/midiC*D* node. Return early when there is no room for even one SysEx, so the loop is never entered with a bound that would wrap. The loop is the last statement of the function, so bailing out is equivalent to it not running. Discovered by XBOW, triaged by Baul Lee <baul.lee@xbow.com>

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: ALSA: usb-audio: Fix DMA buffer out-of-bounds write when fill_max is set When a USB audio endpoint requests full packet transfers via the fill_max descriptor flag, data_ep_set_params() promotes ep->curpacksize to ep->maxpacksize. However, maxsize is left at the original sample-rate derived value. Since u->buffer_size is allocated as maxsize * packets, the resulting DMA buffer is far too small for the requested transfer length. When the USB host controller streams up to curpacksize bytes per packet, it writes past the end of the buffer via DMA, corrupting kernel heap memory. Update maxsize to curpacksize when fill_max is set so that the allocated DMA buffer size matches the actual transfer request size. In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: ALSA: usb-audio: Clamp frame size in implicit-feedback mode snd_usb_handle_sync_urb() scales received sync packet sizes by the sender's stride and stores the result directly in out_packet->packet_size[i]. If a connected USB device sends an oversized sync packet, this frame count can exceed ep->maxframesize. The un-clamped frame count then propagates to the playback endpoint queue, potentially driving packet transfers beyond the endpoint's hardware frame limits. Cap the calculated frame count against ep->maxframesize in snd_usb_handle_sync_urb() to prevent oversized packets from entering the playback queue.

If a CRC error schedules the work during teardown it can run after the ports have been freed and dereference freed memory. Guard the port walk with MXL862XX_FLAG_WORK_STOPPED, which is already set before dsa_unregister_switch(). DSA tears the ports down under rtnl_lock(), so checking the flag under rtnl_lock() means the work either runs before teardown and sees valid ports, or runs afterwards, observes the flag and skips the walk. This mirrors the host_flood_work handler, which skips torn-down ports under rtnl_lock().
