In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: RDMA/cma: Allow UD qp_type to join multicast only As for multicast: - The SIDR is the only mode that makes sense; - Besides PS_UDP, other port spaces like PS_IB is also allowed, as it is UD compatible. In this case qkey also needs to be set [1]. This patch allows only UD qp_type to join multicast, and set qkey to default if it's not set, to fix an uninit-value error: the ib->rec.qkey field is accessed without being initialized. ===================================================== BUG: KMSAN: uninit-value in cma_set_qkey drivers/infiniband/core/cma.c:510 [inline] BUG: KMSAN: uninit-value in cma_make_mc_event+0xb73/0xe00 drivers/infiniband/core/cma.c:4570 cma_set_qkey drivers/infiniband/core/cma.c:510 [inline] cma_make_mc_event+0xb73/0xe00 drivers/infiniband/core/cma.c:4570 cma_iboe_join_multicast drivers/infiniband/core/cma.c:4782 [inline] rdma_join_multicast+0x2b83/0x30a0 drivers/infiniband/core/cma.c:4814 ucma_process_join+0xa76/0xf60 drivers/infiniband/core/ucma.c:1479 ucma_join_multicast+0x1e3/0x250 drivers/infiniband/core/ucma.c:1546 ucma_write+0x639/0x6d0 drivers/infiniband/core/ucma.c:1732 vfs_

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: iommu/amd/iommu_v2: Fix pasid_state refcount dec hit 0 warning on pasid unbind When unbinding pasid - a race condition exists vs outstanding page faults. To prevent this, the pasid_state object contains a refcount. * set to 1 on pasid bind * incremented on each ppr notification start * decremented on each ppr notification done * decremented on pasid unbind Since refcount_dec assumes that refcount will never reach 0: the current implementation causes the following to be invoked on pasid unbind: REFCOUNT_WARN("decrement hit 0; leaking memory") Fix this issue by changing refcount_dec to refcount_dec_and_test to explicitly handle refcount=1.

  • Sep 30, 2025Issue summary: A timing side-channel which could potentially allow remote recovery of the private key exists in the SM2 algorithm implementation on 64 bit ARM pCVE-2025-9231 · Websites & servers · OpenSSL · reported by openssl-security@openssl.orgMedium 6.5

Issue summary: A timing side-channel which could potentially allow remote recovery of the private key exists in the SM2 algorithm implementation on 64 bit ARM platforms. Impact summary: A timing side-channel in SM2 signature computations on 64 bit ARM platforms could allow recovering the private key by an attacker.. While remote key recovery over a network was not attempted by the reporter, timing measurements revealed a timing signal which may allow such an attack. OpenSSL does not directly support certificates with SM2 keys in TLS, and so this CVE is not relevant in most TLS contexts. However, given that it is possible to add support for such certificates via a custom provider, coupled with the fact that in such a custom provider context the private key may be recoverable via remote timing measurements, we consider this to be a Moderate severity issue. The FIPS modules in 3.5, 3.4, 3.3, 3.2, 3.1 and 3.0 are not affected by this issue, as SM2 is not an approved algorithm.

  • Sep 29, 2025A security vulnerability was identified in Obsidian Scheduler's REST API 5.0.0 thru 6.3.0.CVE-2025-56449 · Other software · reported by MITREHigh 8.2

A security vulnerability was identified in Obsidian Scheduler's REST API 5.0.0 thru 6.3.0. If an account is locked out due to not enrolling in MFA (e.g. after the 7-day enforcement window), the REST API still allows the use of Basic Authentication to authenticate and perform administrative actions. In particular, the default admin account was found to be locked out via the web interface but still usable through the REST API. This allowed creation of a new privileged user, bypassing MFA protections. This undermines the intended security posture of MFA enforcement.

  • Sep 24, 2025Omni manages Kubernetes on bare metal, virtual machines, or in a cloud.CVE-2025-59824 · Other software · siderolabs · reported by GitHubLow 0.5

Omni manages Kubernetes on bare metal, virtual machines, or in a cloud. Prior to version 0.48.0, Omni Wireguard SideroLink has the potential to escape. Omni and each Talos machine establish a peer-to-peer (P2P) SideroLink connection using WireGuard to mutually authenticate and authorize access. The WireGuard interface on Omni is configured to ensure that the source IP address of an incoming packet matches the IPv6 address assigned to the Talos peer. However, it performs no validation on the packet's destination address. The Talos end of the SideroLink connection cannot be considered a trusted environment. Workloads running on Kubernetes, especially those configured with host networking, could gain direct access to this link. Therefore, a malicious workload could theoretically send arbitrary packets over the SideroLink interface. This issue has been patched in version 0.48.0.

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: usb: gadget: u_serial: Add null pointer check in gserial_suspend Consider a case where gserial_disconnect has already cleared gser->ioport. And if gserial_suspend gets called afterwards, it will lead to accessing of gser->ioport and thus causing null pointer dereference. Avoid this by adding a null pointer check. Added a static spinlock to prevent gser->ioport from becoming null after the newly added null pointer check.

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: rxrpc: Fix potential data race in rxrpc_wait_to_be_connected() Inside the loop in rxrpc_wait_to_be_connected() it checks call->error to see if it should exit the loop without first checking the call state. This is probably safe as if call->error is set, the call is dead anyway, but we should probably wait for the call state to have been set to completion first, lest it cause surprise on the way out. Fix this by only accessing call->error if the call is complete. We don't actually need to access the error inside the loop as we'll do that after. • Sep 15, 2025In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: android: binder: stop saving a pointer to the VMA Do not record a pointer to a VMA outsideCVE-2022-50240 · Computers, phones & browsers · Linux · reported by 416baaa9-dc9f-4396-8d5f-8c081fb06d67High 7.8

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: android: binder: stop saving a pointer to the VMA Do not record a pointer to a VMA outside of the mmap_lock for later use. This is unsafe and there are a number of failure paths *after* the recorded VMA pointer may be freed during setup. There is no callback to the driver to clear the saved pointer from generic mm code. Furthermore, the VMA pointer may become stale if any number of VMA operations end up freeing the VMA so saving it was fragile to being with. Instead, change the binder_alloc struct to record the start address of the VMA and use vma_lookup() to get the vma when needed. Add lockdep mmap_lock checks on updates to the vma pointer to ensure the lock is held and depend on that lock for synchronization of readers and writers - which was already the case anyways, so the smp_wmb()/smp_rmb() was not necessary. [akpm@linux-foundation.org: fix drivers/android/binder_alloc_selftest.c]

  • Sep 11, 2025In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: mm/kmemleak: avoid deadlock by moving pr_warn() outside kmemleak_lock When netpoll is enabCVE-2025-39736 · Computers, phones & browsers · Linux · reported by 416baaa9-dc9f-4396-8d5f-8c081fb06d67Medium 5.5

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: mm/kmemleak: avoid deadlock by moving pr_warn() outside kmemleak_lock When netpoll is enabled, calling pr_warn_once() while holding kmemleak_lock in mem_pool_alloc() can cause a deadlock due to lock inversion with the netconsole subsystem. This occurs because pr_warn_once() may trigger netpoll, which eventually leads to __alloc_skb() and back into kmemleak code, attempting to reacquire kmemleak_lock. This is the path for the deadlock. mem_pool_alloc() -> raw_spin_lock_irqsave(&kmemleak_lock, flags); -> pr_warn_once() -> netconsole subsystem -> netpoll -> __alloc_skb -> __create_object -> raw_spin_lock_irqsave(&kmemleak_lock, flags); Fix this by setting a flag and issuing the pr_warn_once() after kmemleak_lock is released.
