  • Oct 10, 2026The User Frontend – Membership, User Registration, User Profile, User Directory & Content Restriction with Frontend Post Submission plugin for WordPress is vulnCVE-2026-96574 · WordPress plugins & themes · reported by WordfenceMedium 6.4

The User Frontend – Membership, User Registration, User Profile, User Directory & Content Restriction with Frontend Post Submission plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to Stored Cross-Site Scripting via the 'wpuf_payment_method' parameter in all versions up to, and including, 4.3.12 due to insufficient input sanitization and output escaping. This makes it possible for authenticated attackers, with subscriber-level access and above, to inject arbitrary web scripts in pages that will execute whenever a user accesses an injected page. The bypass technique involves appending a valid gateway keyword such as 'bank' to the HTML payload, causing sanitize_text_field() to yield only the keyword for routing purposes while the full malicious raw value is stored and later rendered unescaped.

    What to do
Affects up to 4.3.12. Update the plugin to the newest version and check its changelog mentions this fix; if there isn’t one yet, deactivate it until there is.

  • Oct 10, 2026HivePress – Business Directory, Listings & Classified Ads: Stored Cross-Site ScriptingCVE-2026-103520 · WordPress plugins & themes · reported by WordfenceMedium 6.4

The HivePress – Business Directory, Listings & Classified Ads Plugin plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to Stored Cross-Site Scripting via the 'custom text attribute (user-defined field name)' parameter in all versions up to, and including, 1.7.31 due to insufficient input sanitization and output escaping. This makes it possible for authenticated attackers, with subscriber-level access and above, to inject arbitrary web scripts in pages that will execute whenever a user accesses an injected page. This is only exploitable when an administrator has configured a Text attribute whose display format places the %value% token inside an HTML attribute (e.g., title="%value%"), which is a documented HivePress pattern.

  • Oct 10, 2026Filter Everything — WordPress & WooCommerce Filters: Reflected Cross-Site ScriptingCVE-2026-87869 · WordPress plugins & themes · reported by WordfenceMedium 6.1

The Filter Everything — WordPress & WooCommerce Filters plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to Reflected Cross-Site Scripting in versions up to, and including, 1.9.6. This is due to insufficient input sanitization and output escaping in the flrt_elementor_load_more_anchor() function. The function reads query parameters from $_SERVER['REQUEST_URI'] via getFormActionOrFullPageUrl(true), which URL-decodes them through parse_str() and re-assembles them using build_query() — a WordPress core function that does NOT re-encode values ($urlencode=false). The resulting URL, containing unescaped special characters, is injected into a data-next-page HTML attribute via preg_replace() without esc_attr() or esc_url(). This makes it possible for unauthenticated attackers to inject arbitrary web scripts in pages that execute if they can successfully trick a user into performing an action such as clicking on a specially crafted link.

  • Oct 9, 2026Apache CXF's FIQL query parser has a vulnerability in how it searches for operators in query expressions.CVE-2026-86463 · Websites & servers · Apache Software Foundation · reported by security@apache.orgHigh 7.5

Apache CXF's FIQL query parser has a vulnerability in how it searches for operators in query expressions. The search pattern can get stuck trying many combinations when it encounters a long string without an operator, causing the parser to consume excessive CPU time. An attacker can send a crafted query to make the server use up CPU resources, potentially slowing down or stopping other requests. The fix was to limit FIQL expressions to 4 KiB by default, preventing attackers from sending extremely long inputs while still allowing normal queries. Users are recommended to upgrade to versions 4.2.4 or 4.1.9 or 3.6.13, which fix this issue.

  • Oct 9, 2026CompressionUtils.inflate() decompressed attacker-controlled DEFLATE data with no output-size cap.CVE-2026-78384 · Websites & servers · Apache Software Foundation · reported by security@apache.orgHigh 7.5

CompressionUtils.inflate() decompressed attacker-controlled DEFLATE data with no output-size cap. A small (~KB) crafted payload could expand to gigabytes on the heap. Reachable via JWE decryption when zip=DEF (e.g. JoseSessionTokenProvider with RSA-OAEP key wrap) and via SAML redirect/POST binding token inflation — in both cases decompression happens before/independent of trust validation. Fix: Added a configurable maximum inflated-size cap (default 10 MiB, org.apache.cxf.compression-max-inflated-size system property) to CompressionUtils.inflate(); aborts with DataFormatException once exceeded. Users are recommended to upgrade to versions 4.2.4 or 4.1.9 or 3.6.13, which fix this issue.

  • Oct 9, 2026Backdrop CMS 1.34 before 1.34.5 and 1.35 before 1.35.1 doesn't sufficiently protect configuration exports when delivering a compressed archive.CVE-2026-107914 · Other software · backdropcms · reported by MITREHigh 7.8

Backdrop CMS 1.34 before 1.34.5 and 1.35 before 1.35.1 doesn't sufficiently protect configuration exports when delivering a compressed archive. This vulnerability is mitigated by the fact that an export must have been previously requested by someone with the "Synchronize, import, and export configuration" permission. NOTE: CVE-2026-107914 refers to the vulnerability in which config.admin.inc does not ensure that a file_unmanaged_delete operation occurs. Therefore, many archives could persist: config.tar.gz, config_0.tar.gz, config_1.tar.gz, etc. There is a separate config.module issue that could allow remote access by an anonymous user, but only for the one filename config.tar.gz.

  • Oct 8, 2026Malcolm's upload-processing pipeline (scripts/safe-extract.py) enforces entry-count, nesting-depth, and total-uncompressed-byte limits when extracting containerCVE-2026-107335 · Other software · CISA · reported by ics-cert@hq.dhs.govMedium 6.5

Malcolm's upload-processing pipeline (scripts/safe-extract.py) enforces entry-count, nesting-depth, and total-uncompressed-byte limits when extracting container archives (zip/tar/rar/7z via libarchive), but those limits are not applied when the uploaded file is a single-stream compressed format (.gz, .bz2, .xz, .lzma, .lz) that isn't a .tar.*-style archive. Any authenticated user permitted to upload PCAP/log files can upload a small, highly compressible file (e.g. a gzip bomb) that decompresses to an effectively unbounded size on disk, exhausting the shared Docker volume used by OpenSearch, Logstash, Arkime, and Zeek, and disrupting the platform for all users.

  • Oct 6, 2026yawkat LZ4 Java provides LZ4 compression for Java.CVE-2026-106453 · Other software · yawkat · reported by GitHubMedium 5.3

yawkat LZ4 Java provides LZ4 compression for Java. Prior to 1.11.2, LZ4DecompressorWithLength uses getDecompressedLength to trust the four-byte decompressed-length header before validating the compressed input, allowing a five-byte attacker-supplied input whose header declares a large output size to request up to approximately 2 GiB and exhaust the JVM heap. Convenience overloads backed by LZ4FastDecompressor or LZ4SafeDecompressor allocate the untrusted size, while overloads that write to a caller-provided destination buffer are not affected because the caller controls the destination size. yawkat LZ4 Java provides LZ4 compression for Java. Prior to 1.11.2, net.jpountz.lz4.LZ4BlockInputStream refill() validates that the compressedLen field in a legacy LZ4Block header is nonnegative but allocates a compressed-input buffer of that attacker-controlled size before reading payload data, allowing a header-only stream to request a near-2 GiB allocation and exhaust the JVM heap. • Oct 6, 2026yawkat LZ4 Java provides LZ4 compression for Java.CVE-2026-106451 · Other software · yawkat · reported by GitHubHigh 7.3

yawkat LZ4 Java provides LZ4 compression for Java. From 1.7.0 until 1.11.4, net.jpountz.util.Native.load() uses File.createTempFile to create an exclusive temporary .lck file but derives the native-library path by removing the suffix, then FileOutputStream opens that predictable path without exclusive creation, allowing another local user with access to the same shared temporary directory to create or replace the library file before System.load() uses it. Successful exploitation depends on shared-directory permissions, host protections, and winning the race, and can execute native code as the victim; hardened systems may instead cause library loading to fail and fall back to Java implementations. Configurations using a system library, a private java.io.tmpdir, or Java-only implementations are not affected. This issue is fixed in version 1.11.4.

yawkat LZ4 Java provides LZ4 compression for Java. Prior to 1.11.4, net.jpountz.lz4.LZ4FrameInputStream readHeader() allocates two new 4 MiB block buffers whenever a maximum-block-size frame header is read, and the default concatenated-frame mode allows attacker-controlled streams containing many minimal empty frames to trigger roughly 8 MiB of allocation for every 11 input bytes. The stream produces no decompressed output while consuming CPU and garbage-collection time, so decompressed-size limits do not mitigate the issue; readSingleFrame mode is not affected. An authenticated user with read access to any text-based index can submit a specially crafted regular expression that triggers catastrophic backtracking, consuming excessive CPU on Elasticsearch worker threads and degrading query throughput for other tenants on the affected node. The cluster does not crash as a result of this issue.

  • Oct 5, 2026The NXP GAU ADC driver (drivers/adc/adc_mcux_gau_adc.c) validated the caller-supplied sequence->buffer_size, which is expressed in bytes, against the number of CVE-2026-19184 · Other software · zephyrproject · reported by vulnerabilities@zephyrproject.orgHigh 8.4

The NXP GAU ADC driver (drivers/adc/adc_mcux_gau_adc.c) validated the caller-supplied sequence->buffer_size, which is expressed in bytes, against the number of active channels, which is a sample count. It then stored that byte count directly in data->results_length and used it in mcux_gau_adc_read_samples() as the number of uint16_t slots available. Because each conversion result occupies sizeof(uint16_t) bytes, a buffer that was accepted as "large enough" could be written with up to twice its size in bytes, so every sample past the buffer's midpoint was written out of bounds. adc_read() and adc_read_async() are Zephyr system calls. The syscall verifier in drivers/adc/adc_handlers.c only confirms that the caller owns buffer_size writable bytes (K_SYSCALL_MEMORY_WRITE); deciding whether that size is sufficient for the requested channels and extra_samplings is delegated entirely to the driver. On a build with CONFIG_USERSPACE=y, a user-mode thread that has been granted the ADC device object could therefore submit a deliberately half-sized buffer and cause the driver's work-queue handler — which runs in supervisor mode, outside the caller's MPU restrictions — to write ADC conversion

Where this comes from: the exploited list is CISA’s Known Exploited Vulnerabilities catalog. Everything else is the whole National Vulnerability Database, where each record is published by the team that found the bug (Wordfence, Patchstack, WPScan, the vendors themselves and others); we show who. Exploit odds are FIRST’s EPSS, updated daily. Titles and categories are ours, so check the linked record before acting on a detail. For a write-up of the big ones, see our advisories.
