marimo before 0.23.15 contains a configuration injection vulnerability that allows notebook authors to exfiltrate operator API keys by embedding a malicious base_url in PEP-723 inline script metadata, which is merged into session configuration with higher precedence than the operator's own settings due to insufficient sanitization in sanitize_pyproject_dict. When an operator opens the crafted notebook and makes an AI request, marimo resolves the attacker-controlled base_url from the notebook config while falling back to the operator's OPENAI_API_KEY environment variable for authentication, transmitting the API key to the attacker-controlled endpoint without requiring any cell execution.

OPNsense before 26.1.9 contains a stored cross-site scripting vulnerability that allows authenticated attackers to inject arbitrary HTML or JavaScript by embedding payloads in the certificate description field via the trust certificate API. The unsanitized description value is persisted and later rendered in the Dashboard Certificates widget through Certificates.js, which interpolates the raw value into HTML attribute and text content sinks without encoding, causing injected scripts to execute in the browser of any authenticated user who views the Dashboard, enabling session hijacking or credential theft.

SiYuan versions <= v3.7.2 expose the /api/search/searchEmbedBlock endpoint, which passes a client-supplied SQL statement verbatim to the main read-write siyuan.db handle with no single-statement, read-only, or admin restrictions. The endpoint is gated only by CheckAuth, making it reachable by the publish RoleReader token and by anonymous users when publish authentication is disabled. Aug 3, 2026Net::SAML2 versions before 0.86 for Perl allow SAML authentication bypass by verifying responses against the response-embedded certificate in verify_xml when noCVE-2026-18089 · Other software · TIMLEGGE · reported by 9b29abf9-4ab0-4765-b253-1875cd9b441eHigh 7.5
Net::SAML2 versions before 0.86 for Perl allow SAML authentication bypass by verifying responses against the response-embedded certificate in verify_xml when no trust anchor is configured. verify_xml in Net::SAML2::Role::VerifyXML runs "return if !$anchors && !$cacert;" as soon as the XML::Sig check succeeds, and that check uses the X.509 certificate taken from the response's own dsig:KeyInfo/dsig:X509Certificate element, so an unanchored response is checked only against the key it carries. Binding::POST declares cacert as an optional Maybe[Str] with no default, so a POST binding built without one takes that path, and _verify_encrypted_assertion returns early the same way with "return $xml unless $cacert;". Any caller that constructs Binding::POST or calls Assertion->new_from_xml without a cacert, cert_text, or anchors argument accepts a response signed by an attacker generated key whose self-signed certificate is embedded in that response, authenticating an arbitrary assertion.

The RCU II+ and Multiload II+ are vulnerable to an unauthenticated service that exposes a debug interface granting full root-level access to the embedded system. This vulnerability stems from a network-accessible port running a Target Communications Framework (TCF) service that does not require any authentication, allowing an attacker to directly interact with the Linux environment that powers the device. Once connected, an attacker can freely view and modify the filesystem, manipulate running processes, and control network interfaces, enabling deep alteration of system behavior.

Jul 29, 2026Kong Operator's embedded Kong Kubernetes Ingress Controller (KIC) allows a user with namespace-scoped Secret creation privileges to cause a cluster-wide ingressCVE-2026-16543 · Other software · reported by 02762ae7-200e-4b20-9b2b-a77d5b8fc4cbHigh 7.1
Kong Operator's embedded Kong Kubernetes Ingress Controller (KIC) allows a user with namespace-scoped Secret creation privileges to cause a cluster-wide ingress configuration denial of service. The embedded KIC collects CA-certificate Secrets across all watched namespaces using a label selector alone, without ingress-class or namespace restrictions. The CA-certificate primary key is derived from a user-supplied field in the Secret. Duplicate CA-certificate IDs cause Kong Gateway to reject the entire configuration document and halting all ingress changes cluster-wide.

Jul 29, 2026Advanced Responsive Video Embedder for Rumble, Odysee, YouTube, Vimeo, Kick …: Authentication BypassCVE-2026-18072 · WordPress plugins & themes · reported by WordfenceCritical 9.8
The Advanced Responsive Video Embedder for Rumble, Odysee, YouTube, Vimeo, Kick … plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to Authentication Bypass via a Hardcoded Backdoor in version 10.8.7. The vulnerability exists because the `_arve_uc_init()` function — registered on WordPress's `init` hook at priority 1 so that it runs before any authentication checks on every request — reads an attacker-supplied token from the `_wplogin` (or `_wpm`) parameter and compares it against a hardcoded SHA-256 hash embedded directly in the plugin source, with no nonce verification, no capability check, and no password validation anywhere in the flow. Because this static hash constitutes a set of universal credentials that are publicly accessible in the plugin's source code, unauthenticated attackers can supply the known token to be authenticated as an arbitrarily selected existing administrator account, gaining full administrative control over the affected WordPress site. This was likely introduced by an attacker who gained commit access to the developers account.

The SyncTeX parser (synctex_parser.c) shipped with TeX Live and embedded by downstream consumers such as GNOME Evince contains a heap use-after-free vulnerability that allows attackers to crash applications or potentially execute arbitrary code by supplying a malformed .synctex or .synctex.gz file. Jul 20, 2026SurrealDB before v2.6.1 (and before v3.0.0-beta.3) contains a denial of service vulnerability in its embedded JavaScript scripting engine, which is enabled via CVE-2026-63762 · Other software · surrealdb · reported by VulnCheckMedium 6
SurrealDB before v2.6.1 (and before v3.0.0-beta.3) contains a denial of service vulnerability in its embedded JavaScript scripting engine, which is enabled via the --allow-scripting capability (disabled by default). Any user able to execute arbitrary queries — including unauthenticated guests when --allow-guests is enabled — can use built-in string functions to construct a large string and pass it to the JavaScript runtime for compilation, triggering a null pointer dereference in the underlying QuickJS-NG engine. This causes the server process to terminate immediately without graceful shutdown, requiring a manual restart. The issue was fixed by updating the rquickjs dependency from v0.9.0 to v0.11.0.

Jul 9, 2026Fediverse Embeds: Does not validate the destination of the server-side request performed by an unauthenticated site-info endpoint before fetching itCVE-2026-12517 · WordPress plugins & themes · reported by WPScanMedium 5.3
The Fediverse Embeds WordPress plugin before 1.5.8 does not validate the destination of the server-side request performed by an unauthenticated site-info endpoint before fetching it, allowing anonymous users (the gating nonce is exposed on public pages carrying an embed) to make the site request internal and private-network URLs and read back the parsed page metadata. This is a Server-Side Request Forgery.

Jul 7, 2026OpenWrt is a Linux operating system targeting embedded devices.CVE-2026-55490 · Other software · openwrt · reported by GitHubMedium 6.5
OpenWrt is a Linux operating system targeting embedded devices. Before v25.12.5, an integer underflow in handle_send_a() of the Emergency Access Daemon allows any unauthenticated attacker on the local network to crash the daemon by sending a single crafted UDP packet. The message length underflows before a bounds check and is then passed to memcpy as a very large size. This issue is fixed v25.12.5.

Jul 1, 2026UltraVNC repeater through 1.8.2.2 contains a global buffer overflow in its embedded HTTP administration server.CVE-2026-7840 · Other software · uvnc · reported by 33c584b5-0579-4c06-b2a0-8d8329fcab9cCritical 9.3
UltraVNC repeater through 1.8.2.2 contains a global buffer overflow in its embedded HTTP administration server. The functions wi_senderr() and wi_replyhdr() in repeater/webgui/webutils.c write the caller-supplied HTTP request URI into a fixed 1000-byte global buffer (hdrbuf) via unchecked sprintf calls. The HTTP receive buffer accepts URIs up to approximately 150 KB (WI_RXBUFSIZE = 153600), so an unauthenticated attacker who can reach the repeater HTTP port (default TCP 80) can overflow hdrbuf by at least 500 bytes with a single HTTP request containing a URI of 1500 bytes or longer, corrupting adjacent .bss-segment globals. The overflow occurs before any authentication check, making it reachable without credentials. A remote, unauthenticated attacker can achieve arbitrary code execution on the host running the repeater.

Jun 30, 2026Storage Concentrator (SC & SCVM) contains hardcoded credentials for numerous internal services embedded within a configuration file.CVE-2026-50110 · Other software · StoneFly · reported by ics-cert@hq.dhs.govCritical 9.3
Storage Concentrator (SC & SCVM) contains hardcoded credentials for numerous internal services embedded within a configuration file. While the credentials are stored in an encoded format, the encoding can be reversed to plaintext. The exposed credentials span a broad range of internal services, including database accounts, licensing, replication services, and third-party integrations, meaning successful exploitation of this vulnerability could provide an attacker with unauthorized access to multiple interconnected systems.

Jun 25, 2026In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: sctp: validate embedded INIT chunk and address list lengths in cookie sctp_unpack_cookie()CVE-2026-53224 · Computers, phones & browsers · Linux · reported by 416baaa9-dc9f-4396-8d5f-8c081fb06d67Critical 9.1
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: sctp: validate embedded INIT chunk and address list lengths in cookie sctp_unpack_cookie() only checked that the embedded INIT chunk length did not exceed the remaining cookie payload, but did not ensure that the INIT chunk is large enough to contain a complete INIT header. A malformed COOKIE_ECHO can therefore carry a truncated INIT chunk whose length field is smaller than sizeof(struct sctp_init_chunk). Later, sctp_process_init() accesses INIT parameters unconditionally, which may lead to out-of-bounds reads. In addition, raw_addr_list_len is not fully validated against the remaining cookie payload. When cookie authentication is disabled, an attacker can supply an oversized raw_addr_list_len and cause sctp_raw_to_bind_addrs() to read beyond the end of the cookie. The address parser also lacks sufficient bounds checks for parameter headers and lengths, allowing malformed address parameters to trigger out-of-bounds reads. Fix this by: - requiring the embedded INIT chunk length to be at least sizeof(struct sctp_init_chunk); - validating that the INIT chunk and raw address list together fit within the cook
