The LwM2M JSON content formatter's get_string() in subsys/net/lib/lwm2m/lwm2m_rw_json.c copies a parsed JSON string into a caller-supplied buffer and NUL-terminates it. The length guard used if (string_length > buflen), which accepts a string whose length is exactly buflen. After memcpy() fills the whole buffer, buf[string_length] = '\0' then writes one byte past the end of the buffer (CWE-787). The string value and its length are taken directly from the incoming CoAP payload during a LwM2M WRITE: do_write_op_json() parses the payload obtained from coap_packet_get_payload(), and get_string() is invoked from lwm2m_write_handler() (engine_get_string() in subsys/net/lib/lwm2m/lwm2m_message_handling.c) for a LWM2M_RES_TYPE_STRING resource. The destination buf/buflen is either the resource instance's fixed data buffer (res_inst->data_ptr/max_data_len) or the engine validation buffer (msg->ctx->validate_buf). A LwM2M server (the client's DTLS peer) can therefore write a string resource with a value whose length equals the target buffer size and force a one-byte overflow. The overflow is a single out-of-bounds write of the constant byte 0x00 immediately past the resource or validation b

WWBN AVideo contains an unauthenticated reflected cross-site scripting vulnerability in the url2Embed.json.php endpoint that allows attackers to inject malicious scripts by supplying URLs with HTML metacharacters. Attackers can mint an encrypted evideo payload containing unescaped markup, then deliver it as a legitimate-looking link on the site's own domain to execute JavaScript in victims' sessions and steal cookies or CSRF tokens.

  • Aug 30, 2026AVideo (current commit e01e41ecc and earlier) exposes stream credentials through the plugin/Live/view/Live_restreams/getLiveKey.json.php endpoint.CVE-2026-82645 · Other software · WWBN · reported by VulnCheckCritical 9.2

AVideo (current commit e01e41ecc and earlier) exposes stream credentials through the plugin/Live/view/Live_restreams/getLiveKey.json.php endpoint. Supplying a 'token' request parameter waives both the Live::canRestream() access gate and the restream ownership check, causing the endpoint to return any restream's stream_key and stream_url (credentials for external platforms such as YouTube, Facebook, and Twitch) without authentication. The token is merely encryptString() of an integer id with no user binding, expiry, or authentication tag. Because encryption uses AES-256-CBC with a deterministic IV and no MAC, and because intval() accepts any string beginning with a digit, an unauthenticated attacker can forge valid tokens using the public encryption oracle in view/url2Embed.json.php, disclosing arbitrary users' stream credentials.

WWBN AVideo (current e01e41ecc and earlier) contains a brute-force rate limiting bypass in enforceRateLimit(), which protects login.json.php and 13 other endpoints. The function stores its attempt counter via a cache layer (ObjectYPT::setCacheGlobal) that silently discards writes for any client identified as a bot by isBot(). Because isBot() treats a missing User-Agent header as a bot by default — and also matches common bot identifiers such as 'curl', 'bot', 'crawler', and 'spider' — the counter never increments for such clients, so the rate limit never fires. An unauthenticated attacker can therefore submit unlimited login attempts (e.g., by omitting the User-Agent header or using curl's default User-Agent), enabling unrestricted password-guessing attacks.

In MongoDB Connector for BI, the description text of a collection's JSON schema validator is incorporated into the comment text of the DDL returned by SHOW CREATE statements without complete escaping of backslash characters. A user with permission to modify a collection's schema validator, in deployments configured to build their SQL schema from those validators, can cause additional SQL text to be embedded in that generated output. WWBN AVideo through 30.0 (and master up to commit 4cb576e) contains a cross-site request forgery vulnerability in plugin/Live/myLiveControls.save.json.php. The endpoint only checks that a user is logged in and processes customUrl, customMessage, and autoRedirect parameters from $_REQUEST via a GET request without enforcing a CSRF token or origin check. The customer update route in EverShop is declared with "access": "public" in packages/evershop/src/modules/customer/api/updateCustomer/route.json, which causes the admin authentication middleware to call next() without checking the caller, and no customer-session middleware guards the route; the only middleware in the chain parses the JSON body. The handler in updateCustomer.js then loads the customer by the uuid taken from the URL path and writes the supplied fields back to that record, hashing a password if one is provided, without verifying that the caller owns the record. An unauthenticated request carrying a known customer uuid can therefore overwrite that customer's email address and password and read back the updated record from the 200 response, taking over the account and locking out its owner. Customer uuids are exposed through order confirmation email links and administrative URLs. Version 2.2.1 changes the route to "access": "private".

The JSON Options WordPress plugin through 0.0.4 does not have any capability check or nonce verification on one of its actions, which runs on every request and is available to unauthenticated users, allowing them to update arbitrary WordPress options. This can be leveraged to enable user registration and set the default role to administrator, leading to privilege escalation and full site takeover.

  • Aug 19, 2026Leantime JSON-RPC API through version 3.9.0 contains a missing authorization vulnerability in the JSON-RPC dispatcher in app/Domain/Api/Controllers/Jsonrpc.php.CVE-2026-76647 · Other software · Leantime · reported by cret@cert.orgHigh 8.8

Leantime JSON-RPC API through version 3.9.0 contains a missing authorization vulnerability in the JSON-RPC dispatcher in app/Domain/Api/Controllers/Jsonrpc.php. The dispatcher does not enforce authorization before invoking service-layer methods, allowing an authenticated user to call methods or act on resources outside their intended permissions. For example, the editOwn method accepts a user-supplied user ID without verifying that it belongs to the caller, allowing an attacker to modify another user's account and set a new password, resulting in account takeover. This vulnerability is distinct from CVE-2026-59712 and CVE-2026-15509 because the root cause is the lack of centralized authorization enforcement in the JSON-RPC dispatcher rather than the behavior of an individual exposed method.

  • Aug 18, 2026Seroval facilitates JS value stringification, including complex structures beyond JSON.stringify capabilities.CVE-2026-59940 · Other software · lxsmnsyc · reported by GitHubCritical 9.8

Seroval facilitates JS value stringification, including complex structures beyond JSON.stringify capabilities. Prior to 1.5.3, seroval.fromJSON() allows attacker-controlled JSON Promise control nodes to operate on values from the general deserialization reference table without verifying genuine internal Promise resolver records, causing deserialization side effects with plugins enabled and potentially unintended server-side invocation or remote code execution when downstream frameworks register callable wrappers. This issue is fixed in version 1.5.3.

  • Aug 15, 2026@fastify/jwt is a JSON Web Token plugin for Fastify.CVE-2026-18500 · Other software · @fastify/jwt · reported by ce714d77-add3-4f53-aff5-83d477b104bbHigh 8.1

@fastify/jwt is a JSON Web Token plugin for Fastify. In versions before 10.2.2, a per-request verification key passed to request.jwtVerify({ key }) is silently overridden by the plugin's globally configured secret, because the option merge applies the global key last. Applications that use different keys for different authorization domains, for example separate user and admin keys, therefore accept a token signed with the global key on a route that explicitly requires another key. This lets an ordinary authenticated user cross a key-based trust boundary without knowing either secret. The issue is fixed in @fastify/jwt 10.2.2, where an explicit per-call key takes precedence over the global secret. Users should upgrade to 10.2.2.

A flaw was found in Red Hat Quay's JWT (JSON Web Token) validation for federated robot accounts and single sign-on (SSO) authentication. Multiple issues related to audience verification and the enforcement of `azp` and `sub` claims were identified. These flaws could allow an attacker with a validly-signed token from the same identity provider to bypass configured security restrictions. This bypass could lead to unauthorized access by circumventing intended audience, subject, or authorized-client limitations.

  • Aug 14, 2026Uncontrolled resource consumption vulnerability in the JSON plugin of Apache Struts.CVE-2026-73633 · Websites & servers · Apache Software Foundation · reported by security@apache.orgHigh 7.5

Uncontrolled resource consumption vulnerability in the JSON plugin of Apache Struts. When an application is configured to populate actions from a JSON request body, the plugin reads that body into memory without bounding how much it will accept, so a single request can exhaust the heap and deny service to other users. The plugin's configurable JSON input length limit does not bound this read. The JSON plugin is an optional component; applications that do not use it, or use it without enabling JSON request-body handling, are not affected. This issue affects Apache Struts: from 2.1.8 through 2.3.37, from 2.5.0 through 2.5.33, from 6.0.0 through 6.10.0, from 7.0.0 through 7.2.1. • Aug 13, 2026Kibana Agent Builder A2A JSON-RPC API endpoint derives the identifier of a stored conversation from a user-supplied input, and the ownership check on that identCVE-2026-72680 · Other software · Elastic · reported by security@elastic.coMedium 6.5

Kibana Agent Builder A2A JSON-RPC API endpoint derives the identifier of a stored conversation from a user-supplied input, and the ownership check on that identifier does not distinguish between a conversation that does not exist and one that exists but belongs to another user. As a result, an authenticated user holding only the Agent Builder read privilege can supply an identifier already in use by another user in the same space and cause that user's conversation to be replaced and reassigned to the requesting account. The original owner permanently loses access to the conversation and its history. The impact is limited to loss of integrity and availability of the affected conversation; the attacker does not read the overwritten content.
