Sep 25, 2026In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: ipv6: mcast: fix RCU list diversion in ip6_mc_del1_src() When removing a source filter whoCVE-2026-98102 · Computers, phones & browsers · Linux · reported by 416baaa9-dc9f-4396-8d5f-8c081fb06d67
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: ipv6: mcast: fix RCU list diversion in ip6_mc_del1_src() When removing a source filter whose count reaches zero, ip6_mc_del1_src() unlinks psf from pmc->mca_sources. If the filter was previously active, the code moved psf directly into pmc->mca_tomb by updating psf->sf_next. Because pmc->mca_sources is traversed locklessly under RCU (e.g. by ipv6_chk_mcast_addr()), mutating psf->sf_next before a grace period elapses diverts concurrent readers to the tombstone list. Consequently, readers miss remaining active sources in pmc->mca_sources and improperly examine deleted tombstone entries. Fix this by allocating a new tombstone node for pmc->mca_tomb (as done in sf_setstate()) and retiring the original psf via kfree_rcu().

Sep 25, 2026In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: ipv6: mcast: use copy-on-write RCU updates in ip6_mc_source() pmc->sflist is read locklessCVE-2026-98101 · Computers, phones & browsers · Linux · reported by 416baaa9-dc9f-4396-8d5f-8c081fb06d67
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: ipv6: mcast: use copy-on-write RCU updates in ip6_mc_source() pmc->sflist is read locklessly under rcu_read_lock() by inet6_mc_check() during packet reception in the UDP and RAW multicast receive paths. ip6_mc_source() mutated psl->sl_addr and psl->sl_count in-place when adding or removing a source filter. Additionally, when expanding the filter buffer, newpsl was published via rcu_assign_pointer() before writing the new source into the array. Because 16-byte struct in6_addr writes are not atomic and array shifting is not synchronized with RCU readers, concurrent readers in inet6_mc_check() could read torn IPv6 addresses or observe duplicated/missed source entries. Fix this by switching ip6_mc_source() to copy-on-write RCU updates: allocate and fully populate newpsl before publishing it via rcu_assign_pointer(), and reclaim the old filter via kfree_rcu(), matching ip6_mc_msfilter(). Also remove the now unused IP6_SFBLOCK macro.

Sep 25, 2026In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: ipv6: mcast: use rcu_assign_pointer() for __rcu list updates Several places in net/ipv6/mcCVE-2026-98099 · Computers, phones & browsers · Linux · reported by 416baaa9-dc9f-4396-8d5f-8c081fb06d67Medium 4.7
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: ipv6: mcast: use rcu_assign_pointer() for __rcu list updates Several places in net/ipv6/mcast.c update RCU-protected lists (np->ipv6_mc_list, idev->mc_list, idev->mc_tomb) using direct pointer assignments instead of rcu_assign_pointer(): 1. In __ipv6_dev_mc_dec(), unlinking a group from idev->mc_list did: *map = ma->next; without rcu_assign_pointer() while concurrent readers traverse idev->mc_list locklessly under rcu_read_lock(). 2. In ipv6_sock_mc_drop() and __ipv6_sock_mc_close(), unlinking a group from np->ipv6_mc_list directly assigned *lnk = mc_lst->next and np->ipv6_mc_list = mc_lst->next without rcu_assign_pointer(), racing with lockless readers in inet6_mc_check(). 3. In __ipv6_sock_mc_join(), mc_lst->next was initialized to np->ipv6_mc_list via raw assignment before publishing mc_lst. 4. In mld_del_delrec() and __ipv6_dev_mc_inc(), __rcu source pointers passed into rcu_assign_pointer() lacked explicit dereference helpers. Fix these by consistently using rcu_assign_pointer() along with mc_dereference() / sock_dereference().

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: af_packet: Don't cast tpacket_hdr.tp_len to int in tpacket_parse_header(). syzbot reported BUG() in sock_sendmsg_nosec(). [0] The problem is that tpacket_parse_header() casts user-provided tpacket_hdr.tp_len, which is u32, to int. If the length is larger than INT_MAX, the following condition in tpacket_parse_header() passes, if (unlikely(tp_len > size_max)) and any negative value can be returned to the caller, up to sock_sendmsg_nosec(). The repro set tpacket_hdr.tp_len to 0xfffffdef, which is cast to -EIOCBQUEUED (-529), triggering BUG() in sock_sendmsg_nosec(). *(uint64_t*)0x200000000008 = 0xfffffdef; ... syscall(__NR_write, /*fd=*/r[0], /*buf=*/0x200000000000ul, /*count=*/1ul); Let's define the local tp_len as u32 in tpacket_parse_header(). In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: net: bridge: mcast: properly convert mglist to rcu Sashiko reported a bug [1] that br_multicast_del_port_group unlists the port group not using proper rcu helper that preserves the next pointer and after that immediately frees the port group without waiting for rcu grace period. The only rcu walker of mglist is br_multicast_list_adjacent() and it turns out that function has always been buggy because mglist was never properly converted to RCU. Fix it by converting it to rcu and moving its initialization after eth_addr's. Initializing p->next can use RCU_INIT_POINTER because we have a barrier from the hlist_add_head_rcu call later, besides we're initializing an unpublished structure anyway. In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: ipmr: account multicast table and route memory A netadmin in a user+net namespace can create many IPv4 and IPv6 multicast routing tables with MRT_TABLE and MRT6_TABLE. Each unseen id allocates an mr_table via the shared mr_table_alloc(), links it into the per-net list, and leaves it until netns teardown. Those objects were not charged to memcg, so the host unreclaimable slab grows with the table count. Account mr_table allocations with GFP_KERNEL_ACCOUNT and mark the IPv4/IPv6 MFC caches SLAB_ACCOUNT. This matches the established handling of IP addresses, routes and alternate interface names. Unresolved MFC entries are still allocated from softIRQ with GFP_ATOMIC and are not charged. They expire after 10 seconds and are bounded by the socket receive queue; see commit 0079ad8e8dc3 ("ipmr: remove hard code cache_resolve_queue_len limit").

Sep 25, 2026In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: tick/broadcast: Plug clockevents replacement race 朱恺乾 reported and decoded the following rCVE-2026-97925 · Computers, phones & browsers · Linux · reported by 416baaa9-dc9f-4396-8d5f-8c081fb06d67
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: tick/broadcast: Plug clockevents replacement race 朱恺乾 reported and decoded the following race condition when a broadcast device is replaced: CPUA CPUB __tick_broadcast_oneshot_control() bc = tick_broadcast_device.evtdev; tick_install_broadcast_device(dev) clockevents_exchange_device(cur, dev) shutdown(cur); detach(cur); cur->handler = noop; tick_broadcast_device.evtdev = dev; tick_broadcast_set_event(bc, next_event); <- FAIL: arms a detached device. If the original broadcast device has a restricted interrupt affinity mask and the last CPU in that mask goes offline then the BUG() in tick_cleanup_dead_cpu() triggers because the clockevent device is not in detached state. The reason for this is that tick_install_broadcast_device() is not serialized vs. tick broadcast operations. The obvious cure is to serialize tick_install_broadcast_device() with tick_broadcast_lock against a concurrent tick broadcast operation. That requires to split clockevents_exchange_device() into two parts, one which does the exchange, shutdown and detach operation and the other

Sep 25, 2026Knit Pay – Cashfree, Instamojo, Razorpay, PayPal and more: Privilege EscalationCVE-2026-89426 · WordPress plugins & themes · reported by WordfenceHigh 8.8
The Knit Pay – Cashfree, Instamojo, Razorpay, PayPal and more plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to Privilege Escalation in all versions up to, and including, 9.6.1.0. This is due to the `maybe_update_user_role()` function reading the target role directly from an attacker-controlled Gravity Forms entry field — configured via the feed's `user_role_field_id` — and passing it to `WP_User::set_role()` without validating the supplied value against an allowlist of permitted roles. This makes it possible for authenticated attackers, with Subscriber-level access and above, to elevate their privileges to administrator by tampering with the hidden role field value at form submission time. Exploitation is further enabled by the fact that $0 orders are synchronously marked as SUCCESS during form submission without requiring a real payment, and when no GF User Registration user can be resolved, the role assignment target falls back to `$lead['created_by']` — the currently authenticated submitter's own user ID — making any authenticated form submitter an eligible exploitation target.

Sep 24, 2026In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: wifi: mac80211: don't call ieee80211_handle_reconfig_failure when not needed In case reconCVE-2026-97492 · Computers, phones & browsers · Linux · reported by 416baaa9-dc9f-4396-8d5f-8c081fb06d67
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: wifi: mac80211: don't call ieee80211_handle_reconfig_failure when not needed In case reconfiguration of NAN fails, we call ieee80211_handle_reconfig_failure, that marks all interfaces as not in the driver. Then, at the error path of the reconfig, cfg80211_shutdown_all_interfaces is called to destroy all the interfaces. If we have any other interface but the NAN one, for example a BSS station, then when its state (links, stations) will be removed, we won't tell the driver about this, because we will think that the interfaces are not in the driver, and then drivers might remain with dangling pointers to objects like stations and links (at least for iwlwifi this is the case). ieee80211_handle_reconfig_failure is meant to be called after we cleaned up the state in the driver, there is no reason to call it for NAN reconfiguration failure. Fix the code to just warn in such a case, as we do in other error paths in reconfig where it is too complicated to rewind.

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: serial: 8250: fix possible ISR soft lockup There are rare cases in which the host gets stuck in the ISR because it is flooded with messages during the startup phase. The reason for the soft lockup in the ISR is the missing FIFO error IRQ (FIFOE) handling. Not handling it and reporting IRQ_HANDLED triggers the IRQ immediately again. Fix this by adding a check for the FIFOE status and clearing the FIFO if no data is ready (DR). This behavior was observed on an AM62L device which uses the OMAP 8250 driver. Fix it for all 8250 drivers, since the OMAP driver's special IRQ setup handling may trigger this behavior more frequently, but it is not ensured that other 8250 drivers aren't affected.

Sep 24, 2026In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: hsr: broadcast netlink notifications in the device's net namespace The HSR generic netlinkCVE-2026-97419 · Computers, phones & browsers · Linux · reported by 416baaa9-dc9f-4396-8d5f-8c081fb06d67
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: hsr: broadcast netlink notifications in the device's net namespace The HSR generic netlink family sets .netnsok = true. HSR devices can live in network namespaces other than init_net. Two async notifiers broadcast events with genlmsg_multicast(). They are hsr_nl_ringerror() and hsr_nl_nodedown(). That helper delivers only on the default genl socket in init_net. So the events always land in init_net. The network namespace of the device does not matter. This has two effects. A listener in the device's own namespace never sees its own ring error and node down events. A privileged listener in init_net receives events from HSR devices in other namespaces. The payload carries the peer node MAC (HSR_A_NODE_ADDR) and the slave port ifindex (HSR_A_IFINDEX). Switch both callers to genlmsg_multicast_netns(). Other families with .netnsok = true already do this. Examples are gtp, ovpn, team, batman-adv, netdev-genl, ethtool and handshake. hsr_nl_ringerror() already has the slave port. It uses dev_net(port->dev). hsr_nl_nodedown() takes the namespace from the master port via hsr_port_get_hsr().

Sep 24, 2026In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: Bluetooth: RFCOMM: validate skb length in rfcomm_recv_frame rfcomm_recv_frame() casts skb-CVE-2026-93783 · Computers, phones & browsers · Linux · reported by 416baaa9-dc9f-4396-8d5f-8c081fb06d67
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: Bluetooth: RFCOMM: validate skb length in rfcomm_recv_frame rfcomm_recv_frame() casts skb->data to struct rfcomm_hdr and dereferences hdr->addr and hdr->ctrl without validating skb->len first. A truncated frame with skb->len less than the minimum header size causes an out-of-bounds read of uninitialized memory. Additionally, a zero-length frame causes skb->len-- to underflow to UINT_MAX, making skb_tail_pointer() read far past the buffer. Commit 23882b828c3c ("Bluetooth: RFCOMM: validate skb length in MCC handlers") fixed the same class of missing-length-check bugs in the MCC sub-handlers, but the top-level rfcomm_recv_frame() was left unfixed. Sep 21, 2026Supabase Realtime provides Broadcast, Presence, and Postgres Changes via WebSockets.CVE-2026-62247 · Other software · supabase · reported by GitHubMedium 6.5
Supabase Realtime provides Broadcast, Presence, and Postgres Changes via WebSockets. Prior to 2.111.2, Realtime authorization does not correctly honor the per-extension presence.read row-level security policy when a private-channel client is allowed presence.write but explicitly denied presence.read. Under that differential policy, the client can receive presence_diff messages containing other members' presence metadata, including application-defined location, online-status, roster, viewing, or typing information. Deployments with uniform presence visibility have no differential, and postgres_changes row data is unaffected. This issue is fixed in version 2.111.2.

Sep 21, 2026nginx ignition is a user interface for the nginx web server.CVE-2026-61629 · Other software · lucasdillmann · reported by GitHubHigh 7.5
nginx ignition is a user interface for the nginx web server. In versions 2.29.0 through 2.40.0, the gin i18n middleware in nginx-ignition's API server runs in front of every HTTP request and calls `golang.org/x/text/language.ParseAcceptLanguage` on the raw `Accept-Language` header without imposing any size or shape filter. The underlying parser has quadratic-time behaviour on long lists of malformed language tags. The CVE-2022-32149 guard that golang.org/x/text added in v0.3.8 caps the number of `-` characters in the input at 1000, but it does not cap `_` characters even though the parser's internal scanner aliases `_` to `-` before parsing. A single unauthenticated GET request with an `Accept-Language` header built out of `_` separators burns about 2.4 seconds of server CPU on the host running nginx-ignition; ten concurrent attackers saturate a ten-core box for the duration of the attack while consuming ~10 MiB/s of upstream bandwidth. Version 2.40.1 fixes this issue.

nginx ignition is a user interface for the nginx web server. Prior to version 2.41.1, `POST /api/users/onboarding/finish` is registered as anonymous (unauthenticated) and creates a user with full ReadWrite admin permissions. Because the handler uses a check-then-act (TOCTOU) pattern between the "onboarding already completed?" check and the user-creation write, with no atomic guard, a remote unauthenticated attacker who can reach an instance in its pre-onboarding state can create an administrator account for themselves — and concurrent requests can create multiple admin accounts in a single race. Version 2.41.1 patches the issue.

Prior to 0.31.4 and 0.32.2, the kcp front-proxy does not remove inbound X-Remote-User, X-Remote-Group, or X-Remote-Extra-* identity headers before forwarding requests to shards. Any authenticated tenant can inject X-Remote-Group: system:masters, authorization.kcp.io/warrant, authentication.kcp.io/scopes, or a group used for per-workspace required-group gating, and the shard trusts these values as authenticated identity assertions. This allows cross-workspace impersonation, authorization bypass, and arbitrary reading, writing, or deletion of resources, secrets, RBAC data, APIExports, APIBindings, and LogicalClusters. This issue is fixed in versions 0.31.4 and 0.32.2.

Sep 17, 2026In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: nfc: llcp: avoid userspace overflow on invalid optlen nfc_llcp_getsockopt() casts optval tCVE-2026-90226 · Computers, phones & browsers · Linux · reported by 416baaa9-dc9f-4396-8d5f-8c081fb06d67
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: nfc: llcp: avoid userspace overflow on invalid optlen nfc_llcp_getsockopt() casts optval to (u32 __user *) for put_user(), so the kernel always stores 4 bytes regardless of the caller-supplied optlen. The existing min_t(u32, len, sizeof(u32)) only clamps the length reported back to userspace; it does not constrain the store. A call with optlen < 4 therefore writes past the user buffer, violating the getsockopt(2) contract for all five supported optnames. Reject any call with optlen < sizeof(u32) up front. 'len' is int, so a plain size comparison would promote a negative optlen to size_t and slip past the check; an explicit 'len < 0' test is added first to catch negative values before the size compare.

Sep 17, 2026Opencast is a free, open-source platform to support the management of educational audio and video content.CVE-2026-77614 · Other software · opencast · reported by GitHubHigh 8.8
Opencast is a free, open-source platform to support the management of educational audio and video content. Prior to versions 19.7 and 20.2, the default security configuration in etc/security/mh_default_org.xml accepts a client-selected JSESSIONID from the ;jsessionid= URL path parameter and does not replace it when the victim logs in. An unauthenticated attacker can send a crafted link to a victim whose browser has no active Opencast session cookie, wait for the victim to authenticate, and then reuse the known identifier as the victim's authenticated session. This can expose the victim's data and actions and can produce full administrative account takeover when the victim is an administrator. This issue is fixed in versions 19.7 and 20.2.

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: ext4: check dir entry fits before reading the hash trailer in ext4_search_dir() For casefolded encrypted directories ext4 stores an 8-byte hash trailer after the name (EXT4_DIRENT_HASHES()), at an offset derived from de->name_len. On the sb_no_casefold_compat_fallback() path ext4_match() reads that trailer, but ext4_search_dir()'s by-hand pre-check only tests de->name + de->name_len <= dlimit, which proves the name fits, not the rounded trailer. A crafted entry whose name ends at the block boundary passes the check while EXT4_DIRENT_HASHES(de) lands past the block end, so ext4_match() reads out of bounds on an ordinary lookup. KASAN reports it as a use-after-free when the page after the directory block holds a freed object: BUG: KASAN: use-after-free in ext4_match (fs/ext4/namei.c:1435) Read of size 4 at addr ffff888010458000 by task exploit Call Trace: ext4_match (fs/ext4/namei.c:1435) ext4_search_dir (fs/ext4/namei.c:1470) __ext4_find_entry (fs/ext4/namei.c:1268 fs/ext4/namei.c:1632) ext4_lookup (fs/ext4/namei.c:1703 fs/ext4/namei.c:1769) ... filename_lookup (fs/namei.c:2842) vfs_

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: ip: orphan prefetched skbs before multicast forwarding IPv4 and IPv6 input preserve an skb->sk association installed by bpf_sk_assign() so that local delivery can use the selected socket under RCU. Both address families can also prefetch a socket in UDP early demux. In both paths (BPF and UDP early demux) a reference is not guaranteed to be held on the socket. When a multicast packet is not locally deliverable, IPv6 hands the original skb to ip6_mr_input(). IPv4's ip_mr_input() similarly keeps the original skb when local delivery is not needed. Either path can put the skb on an unresolved multicast route queue or forward it after the receive-side RCU section ends. After the prefetched socket is destroyed, a later skb free invokes sock_pfree() and dereferences the stale skb->sk. Orphan the skb before each non-local multicast forwarding path. Local delivery retains the original skb; the existing skb_clone() calls provide multicast forwarding with a socket-free clone.

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: net: l2tp: do not propagate multicast notification errors The tunnel create, tunnel modify, session create, and session modify netlink handlers send multicast notifications through helpers that can fail while allocating or encoding a message, or while multicasting it. For tunnel and session create/modify, a notification is sent after the live operation has completed. Returning a best-effort notification error as the command result can therefore report failure for an operation that already committed and can cause callers to retry and accumulate live objects. Keep sending notifications for listener visibility, but do not propagate their best-effort status as the command result. This also keeps the tunnel modify command consistent with the other notification-only paths.
