  • Sep 3, 2026OpenList a file list program that supports multiple storage.CVE-2026-75602 · Other software · OpenListTeam · reported by GitHubMedium 6.5

OpenList a file list program that supports multiple storage. Prior to 4.2.3, OpenList's offline-download feature at POST /api/fs/add_offline_download with tool: "SimpleHttp" accepts an attacker-supplied URL and saves its bytes under a per-task temporary directory before transferring them to the user's destination storage. The temporary filename comes from the attacker-controlled Content-Disposition header, is passed from parseFilenameFromContentDisposition in internal/offline_download/http/util.go to filepath.Join(task.TempDir, filename) in SimpleHttp.Run in internal/offline_download/http/client.go, and is opened with os.Create without a containment check. Because filepath.Join cleans .. segments, a non-admin user with PermAddOfflineDownload on any path can traverse out of task.TempDir and create, truncate, or overwrite any file writable by the OpenList process whose parent directory already exists. The server/handles/offline_download.go AddOfflineDownload route uses normal user authentication rather than AuthAdmin, and local-storage destinations fall through tryPutUrl in internal/offline_download/tool/add.go to the vulnerable SimpleHttp.Run path. This issue is fixed in version 4.2

  • Aug 29, 2026Cleartext Storage of Sensitive Information vulnerability in ash-project ash_paper_trail allows an attacker with read access to the generated version resource toCVE-2026-77970 · Other software · ash-project · reported by 6b3ad84c-e1a6-4bf7-a703-f496b71e49dbMedium 5.9

Cleartext Storage of Sensitive Information vulnerability in ash-project ash_paper_trail allows an attacker with read access to the generated version resource to recover sensitive values nested inside embedded resources, unions, or lists. sensitive_attributes :redact and :ignore only act on the tracked resource's top-level attributes. maybe_redact_changes/3 and the stored-action-input path in AshPaperTrail.Resource.Changes.CreateNewVersion derive the sensitive set from the resource's own attributes and never descend into embedded, union, or list values, so a non-sensitive attribute or action argument that holds an embed with a sensitive? field (for example an accepted credentials embed carrying a token) is written to the version table in cleartext. Cleartext Storage of Sensitive Information vulnerability in ash-project ash_paper_trail allows an attacker with read access to the generated version resource to recover the plaintext of sensitive? attributes. AshPaperTrail stores the values of tracked sensitive? attributes in the generated version resource's changes map, which is declared public? true and sensitive? false, so the values are returned by the version resource's default read action and printed in logs, inspect output, and error messages instead of being redacted. AshPaperTrail.Resource.Transformers.CreateVersionResource derives the changes map's sensitivity from the ignore_attributes list (the attributes excluded from changes) rather than from the tracked attributes actually stored in it, and ignore_attributes defaults to empty, so the flag is effectively always false. This issue affects ash_paper_trail: from 0.1.1 before 0.7.0.

  • Aug 27, 2026Ceph is an open-source distributed storage platform providing object, block, and file storage.CVE-2026-54330 · Other software · ceph · reported by GitHubHigh 8.1

Ceph is an open-source distributed storage platform providing object, block, and file storage. In versions prior to 20.2.4 and 19.2.6, the Ceph Object Gateway (RGW) SigV4 handler does not reject requests that carry x-amz-* headers absent from the signed header set, allowing anyone holding a presigned URL to attach arbitrary unsigned x-amz-* headers that RGW will honor. AWS S3 requires every x-amz-* header on a SigV4 request to be signed and rejects requests bearing additional unsigned headers, but RGW validates only the headers listed in X-Amz-SignedHeaders and ignores any extra ones, so they take effect without being covered by the signature. By adding such headers to a presigned PUT URL, an attacker can grant themselves more capabilities than the URL's signer intended and escalate their privileges. This issue is fixed in versions 20.2.4 and 19.2.6.

  • Aug 27, 2026Ceph is an open-source distributed storage platform providing object, block, and file storage.CVE-2026-50152 · Other software · ceph · reported by GitHubCritical 9.1

Ceph is an open-source distributed storage platform providing object, block, and file storage. In versions prior to 20.2.4 and 19.2.6, the Monitor subscription handler fails to properly authorize access to the configuration-key store, allowing any CephX user with only  `mon allow r` capabilities to read the entire store by sending a single crafted MMonSubscribe message. The config-key store holds sensitive secrets including OSD LUKS disk-encryption passphrases and, on cephadm-managed clusters, the SSH private key that cephadm uses to reach every host in the cluster. Because that key grants root on every node under the default cephadm configuration, a low-privileged read-only account can escalate to full cluster and host compromise. This issue is fixed in versions 20.2.4 and 19.2.6

  • Aug 27, 2026Ceph is an open-source distributed storage platform providing object, block, and file storage.CVE-2026-39944 · Other software · ceph · reported by GitHubHigh 8.8

Ceph is an open-source distributed storage platform providing object, block, and file storage. In versions prior to 20.2.4 and 19.2.6, the RADOS Gateway (RGW) protects STS session tokens with an AES-128-CBC handler that provides no message authentication, allowing an attacker who holds any valid STS token to tamper with it undetected and escalate to full RGW administrative access. Because the ciphertext is unauthenticated, the attacker can perform a CBC bit-flip on the acct_type, perm_type, and is_admin fields of their own token, and a forged is_admin value triggers a global administrative override that bypasses all capability checks. The attack is reachable remotely over the RGW S3 endpoint and is a self-contained modification of a token the attacker already possesses, requiring no encryption oracle and no network observation. It requires only a single valid STS token, which need not carry any elevated privileges, with STS enabled. This issue is fixed in versions 20.2.4 and 19.2.6.

  • Aug 27, 2026Ceph is an open-source distributed storage platform providing object, block, and file storage.CVE-2025-30156 · Other software · ceph · reported by GitHubHigh 8.9

Ceph is an open-source distributed storage platform providing object, block, and file storage. In versions prior to 20.2.4 and 19.2.6, the CephX authentication protocol encrypts tickets with AES-128-CBC in an unauthenticated mode that uses a hard-coded initialization vector and no message authentication, allowing an attacker to forge credentials and gain cluster-wide access. Because the ciphertext is malleable and the monitor will encrypt attacker-chosen entity names, an attacker holding one low-privilege key and able to observe CephX traffic can use the monitor as an encryption oracle and splice ciphertext blocks into valid tickets for privileged entities such as Manager, MDS, and OSD. The same lack of authentication also lets an attacker with CephX permissions escalate privileges by flipping a single bit in a service ticket to set its allow_all field to true. This issue is fixed in versions 20.2.4 and 19.2.6.

  • Aug 26, 2026A flaw was found in the ipa_getkeytab module of the community.general Ansible collection.CVE-2026-80158 · Other software · Red Hat · reported by Red HatMedium 5.5

A flaw was found in the ipa_getkeytab module of the community.general Ansible collection. The module's bind_pw parameter, used to supply the LDAP simple-bind password when retrieving a Kerberos keytab, is not declared with no_log, unlike the sibling password parameter in the same module. As a consequence, the supplied IPA/LDAP bind password is recorded in cleartext in the managed host's system journal/syslog (the module's "Invoked with" record), is included in the module's return values and verbose (-v) output, and is displayed in Automation Controller / AWX job output. The password is additionally passed on the command line to the ipa-getkeytab helper (as --bindpw <value>), exposing it in the process list to local users while the command runs. An attacker able to read these logs, job output, or the process table can obtain the directory bind credential, potentially compromising the accounts and objects that credential can access.

  • Aug 26, 2026SeaweedFS is a distributed storage system for files and blobs.CVE-2026-77611 · Other software · seaweedfs · reported by GitHubHigh 7.1

SeaweedFS is a distributed storage system for files and blobs. In versions prior to 4.40, an authenticated S3 principal with permissions scoped to a nested object key can overwrite a different object outside that scope by calling PutObjectAcl on the key it is allowed to access. The handler authorizes the request against the requested nested key but then writes the updated entry back to the bucket root rather than the key's actual parent directory, so an ACL change on allowed/protected.txt is instead applied to protected.txt at the bucket root. Because the update carries the full entry rather than only ACL metadata, an existing target object is overwritten with the content, metadata, owner information, and ACL of the scoped object, bypassing the object-level action scoping configured through the static S3 identity file. This issue is fixed in version 4.40.

  • Aug 26, 2026SeaweedFS is a distributed storage system for files and blobs.CVE-2026-77368 · Other software · seaweedfs · reported by GitHubHigh 7.6

SeaweedFS is a distributed storage system for files and blobs. In version 4.39, the filer's TUS resumable-upload handler checks JWT allowed_prefixes scoping only when a session is created, letting a low-privilege tenant hijack another tenant's upload session to write content to filer paths their own token forbids. The HEAD, PATCH, and DELETE verbs that act on an existing session by its id never verify that the session's stored target path falls within the caller's allowed prefixes, so a tenant who obtains another upload's session identifier can PATCH attacker bytes into it and, on completion, have the file land at the victim's out-of-scope path. The same token can also DELETE other tenants' sessions and HEAD them to read upload progress and size, defeating the JWT prefix isolation. This vulnerability only affects deployments that configure filer JWT signing and have TUS uploads enabled. This issue is fixed in version 4.40.

  • Aug 26, 2026SeaweedFS is a distributed storage system for files and blobs.CVE-2026-77317 · Other software · seaweedfs · reported by GitHubHigh 8.1

SeaweedFS is a distributed storage system for files and blobs. In versions from 3.88 through 4.39, the SFTP server evaluates configured path permissions with a literal string-prefix comparison, so a user scoped to a path is also granted the same access to any sibling path whose name merely begins with the same characters. A user granted access to /tenants/alice therefore also matches /tenants/alice-archive, /tenants/alice2, and similar siblings, because the check does not require a path-component boundary. An authenticated low-privilege SFTP user with a root home directory and narrow path permissions can thereby cross the configured ACL boundary to read another tenant's files, and to overwrite them if granted write, all through the documented SFTP service with its own valid credentials. This issue is fixed in version 4.40.

  • Aug 26, 2026SeaweedFS is a distributed storage system for files and blobs.CVE-2026-77298 · Other software · seaweedfs · reported by GitHubHigh 8.7

SeaweedFS is a distributed storage system for files and blobs. In versions 4.39 and earlier, the S3 API accepts an external OIDC JWT sent directly in the Authorization header and maps it to an IAM role without enforcing that role's trust policy, so a federated user can assume a role they are not permitted to hold. The standard STS AssumeRoleWithWebIdentity path rejects such a token when the role's trust policy does not trust the token's federated provider, but the direct S3 bearer path validates only the token itself and then authenticates as the mapped role and evaluates that role's attached S3 permissions. As a result, a valid OIDC user whose token would be denied the role through STS can obtain the role's S3 access, including object read, write, and delete, by presenting the raw OIDC JWT directly to the S3 API. This issue is fixed in version 4.40

  • Aug 25, 2026ORAS (OCI Registry As Storage) is a CLI and library for managing artifacts in OCI registries.CVE-2026-55588 · Other software · oras-project · reported by GitHubMedium 6.5

ORAS (OCI Registry As Storage) is a CLI and library for managing artifacts in OCI registries. In ORAS CLI versions up to and including 1.3.2, the recursive referrer traversal does not track visited descriptors, so a malicious OCI registry that returns a cyclic referrer graph causes unbounded recursion and memory growth. This affects oras discover, whose recursive traversal is enabled by default because the --depth option defaults to 0 (unlimited), as well as the recursive referrer counting used by the oras backup and oras restore workflows. A cyclic graph can be as simple as A referring to B and B referring back to A. A malicious registry can use this to cause a client-side denial of service, exhausting CPU and memory and hanging automation or CI/CD pipelines that run ORAS against untrusted registry metadata. The vulnerability does not extend to code execution, artifact substitution, or integrity bypass. This issue has been fixed in version 1.3.3.

The camel-google-storage consumer downloads Google Cloud Storage objects to the local filesystem when the downloadFileName option is set. That option is documented as a folder or a filename, and when its value contains no expression token the consumer builds the local destination by appending the object name to it: evaluateFileExpression sets the Exchange file-name header to the remote object name and evaluates downloadFileName + "/${file:name}". The ${file:name} token returns the file-name header verbatim, unlike ${file:onlyname}, which applies FileUtil.stripPath to it. The resulting string was passed directly to new File(result) and blob.downloadTo(file.toPath()) with no lexical normalization and no check that the destination stayed inside the configured directory. Kurrier is a modern, self-hosted workspace for email, calendar, contacts, and storage. Prior to 1.2.4, Kurrier API endpoints for listing and retrieving webhook and identity resources did not enforce ownership checks for authenticated API requests. An attacker with a valid API key could use another account's identifiers to read and enumerate webhook and identity resources belonging to that account through apps/worker/server/routes/api/kurrier/webhooks/[id].get.ts, apps/worker/server/routes/api/kurrier/webhooks/index.get.ts, apps/worker/server/routes/api/kurrier/identities/[id].get.ts, and apps/worker/server/routes/api/kurrier/identities/index.get.ts. Anonymous requests and invalid API keys were rejected, and cross-user modification operations were blocked, but affected GET and list operations could expose another user's resource metadata. In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: bpf: Tighten cgroup storage cookie checks for prog arrays The fix in commit abad3d0bad72 ("bpf: Fix oob access in cgroup local storage") is still incomplete. The prog-array compatibility check treats a program with no cgroup storage as compatible with any stored storage cookie. This allows a storage-less program to bridge a tail call chain between an entry program and a storage-using callee even though cgroup local storage at runtime still follows the caller's context, that is, A -> B(no storage) -> C(storage) path. Requiring exact cookie equality would break the legitimate case of a storage-less leaf program being tail called from a storage-using one. Instead, only accept a zero storage cookie if the program cannot perform tail calls itself. This keeps A -> B(no storage) working while rejecting the A -> B(no storage) -> C(storage) bridge.

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: bpf, fork: wipe ->bpf_storage before bailouts that access it Currently, copy_process() can bail out to free_task() before p->bpf_storage has been initialized, with this call graph (shown here for the !CONFIG_MEMCG case): copy_process dup_task_struct arch_dup_task_struct [copies the entire task_struct, including ->bpf_storage member] [RLIMIT_NPROC check fails] delayed_free_task free_task bpf_task_storage_free rcu_dereference(task->bpf_storage) bpf_local_storage_destroy In this case, the nascent task's ->bpf_storage member that bpf_local_storage_destroy() operates on is a plain copy of the parent's ->bpf_storage pointer, not a real initialized pointer. This leads to badness (kernel hangs, UAF). This is reachable as long as the process calling fork() has been inserted into a task storage map.

The 6Storage Rentals plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to authentication bypass in versions up to, and including, 2.27.0. This is due to the six_storage_create_wp_user() AJAX handler being registered on wp_ajax_nopriv_six_storage_create_wp_user without any nonce, capability, credential, or ownership verification, while calling wp_set_current_user() and wp_set_auth_cookie() for any WordPress user resolved by the attacker-supplied email address. This makes it possible for unauthenticated attackers to log in as any existing WordPress user, including administrators, by submitting that user's email address.

  • Aug 14, 2026Zephyr's dynamic kernel-object disposal path unref_check() in kernel/userspace/userspace.c frees an object's storage (k_free(dyn->data)) once its reference counCVE-2026-12366 · Other software · zephyrproject · reported by vulnerabilities@zephyrproject.orgHigh 8.8

Zephyr's dynamic kernel-object disposal path unref_check() in kernel/userspace/userspace.c frees an object's storage (k_free(dyn->data)) once its reference count reaches zero, after running a per-object-type cleanup. The cleanup switch handled only K_OBJ_MSGQ and K_OBJ_STACK; there was no K_OBJ_TIMER case. A dynamically-allocated, initialized, and armed k_timer keeps its embedded struct _timeout dnode linked in the global timeout queue (_timeout_q), so freeing the timer storage without cancelling the timeout leaves a dangling node in that queue. When the timer next expires, the timeout machinery walks _timeout_q and invokes z_timer_expiration_handler() on the freed node, dereferencing and writing freed (and reusable) kernel heap in kernel/ISR context. This is a deterministic use-after-free that does not depend on SMP: the queued node is simply never unlinked at free time. The disposal is reachable from an unprivileged user thread under CONFIG_USERSPACE + CONFIG_DYNAMIC_OBJECTS: a thread that holds the last permission on such a timer drops it via the k_object_release() syscall (or by exiting, through k_thread_perms_all_clear()), and can arm the timer itself via the k_timer_start()

A flaw was found in Samba's CTDB, the clustered database service used by Samba. Insufficient integrity validation of received CTDB protocol packets allows malformed packets containing invalid field lengths, improperly terminated strings, or inconsistent packet sizes to be processed without adequate bounds checking. Cleartext Storage of Sensitive Information in an Environment Variable (CWE-526) in Elastic Cloud on Kubernetes (ECK) can lead to information disclosure via Retrieve Embedded Sensitive Data (CAPEC-37). When ECK reconciles a Fleet Server resource that authenticates to Elasticsearch with a service account token, the token is written into the generated workload specification in cleartext rather than being referenced from the Kubernetes Secret that ECK maintains for the other credentials on the same path. Any principal able to read workload specifications in the affected namespace can therefore read a live Elasticsearch credential, even when Kubernetes RBAC does not grant that principal access to Secrets.
