  • Mar 17, 2026Versions of the package sjcl before 1.0.9 are vulnerable to Improper Verification of Cryptographic Signature due to missing point-on-curve validation in sjcl.ecCVE-2026-4258 · Other software · Bitwiseshiftleft · reported by report@snyk.ioHigh 7.7

    Versions of the package sjcl before 1.0.9 are vulnerable to Improper Verification of Cryptographic Signature due to missing point-on-curve validation in sjcl.ecc.basicKey.publicKey(). An attacker can recover a victim's ECDH private key by sending crafted off-curve public keys and observing ECDH outputs. The dhJavaEc() function directly returns the raw x-coordinate of the scalar multiplication result (no hashing), providing a plaintext oracle without requiring any decryption feedback.

  • Mar 13, 2026A container privilege escalation flaw was found in certain Multi-Cloud Object Gateway Core images.CVE-2025-8766 · Other software · Red Hat · reported by Red HatMedium 6.4

    A container privilege escalation flaw was found in certain Multi-Cloud Object Gateway Core images. This issue stems from the /etc/passwd file being created with group-writable permissions during build time. In certain conditions, an attacker who can execute commands within an affected container, even as a non-root user, can leverage their membership in the root group to modify the /etc/passwd file. This could allow the attacker to add a new user with any arbitrary UID, including UID 0, leading to full root privileges within the container

  • Mar 6, 2026Greenshift – animation and page builder blocks: Insecure Direct Object ReferenceCVE-2026-2371 · WordPress plugins & themes · reported by WordfenceMedium 5.3

    The Greenshift – animation and page builder blocks plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to Insecure Direct Object Reference in all versions up to, and including, 12.8.3. This is due to missing authorization and post status validation in the `gspb_el_reusable_load()` AJAX handler. The handler accepts an arbitrary `post_id` parameter and renders the content of any `wp_block` post without checking `current_user_can('read_post', $post_id)` or verifying the post status. Combined with the nonce being exposed to unauthenticated users on any public page using the `[wp_reusable_render]` shortcode with `ajax="1"`, this makes it possible for unauthenticated attackers to retrieve the rendered HTML content of private, draft, or password-protected reusable blocks.

    The Greenshift – animation and page builder blocks plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to Stored Cross-Site Scripting via the `_gspb_post_css` post meta value and the `dynamicAttributes` block attribute in all versions up to, and including, 12.8.5 due to insufficient input sanitization and output escaping. • Feb 20, 2026Strimzi provides a way to run an Apache Kafka cluster on Kubernetes or OpenShift in various deployment configurations.CVE-2026-27134 · Other software · strimzi · reported by GitHubHigh 8.1

    Strimzi provides a way to run an Apache Kafka cluster on Kubernetes or OpenShift in various deployment configurations. In versions 0.49.0 through 0.50.0, when using a custom Cluster or Clients CA with a multistage CA chain consisting of multiple CAs, Strimzi incorrectly configures the trusted certificates for mTLS authentication on the internal as well as user-configured listeners. All CAs from the CA chain will be trusted. And users with certificates signed by any of the CAs in the chain will be able to authenticate. This issue affects only users using a custom Cluster or Clients CA with a multistage CA chain consisting of multiple CAs. It does not affect users using the Strimzi-managed Cluster and Clients CAs. It also does not affect users using custom Cluster or Clients CA with only a single CA (i.e., no CA chain with multiple CAs). This issue has been fixed in version 0.50.1. To workaround this issue, instead of providing the full CA chain as the custom CA, users can provide only the single CA that should be used.

  • Feb 20, 2026Strimzi provides a way to run an Apache Kafka cluster on Kubernetes or OpenShift in various deployment configurations.CVE-2026-27133 · Other software · strimzi · reported by GitHubMedium 5.9

    Strimzi provides a way to run an Apache Kafka cluster on Kubernetes or OpenShift in various deployment configurations. From 0.47.0 to before 0.50.1, when a chain consisting of multiple CA (Certificate Authority) certificates is used in the trusted certificates configuration of a Kafka Connect operand or of the target cluster in the Kafka MirrorMaker 2 operand, all of the certificates that are part of the CA chain will be trusted individually when connecting to the Apache Kafka cluster. Due to this error, the affected operand (Kafka Connect or Kafka MirrorMaker 2) might accept connections to Kafka brokers using server certificates signed by one of the other CAs in the CA chain and not just by the last CA in the chain. This issue is fixed in Strimzi 0.50.1.

  • Jan 26, 2026A flaw was found in kubevirt.CVE-2025-14525 · Other software · Red Hat · reported by Red HatMedium 6.4

    A flaw was found in kubevirt. A user within a virtual machine (VM), if the guest agent is active, can exploit this by causing the agent to report an excessive number of network interfaces. This action can overwhelm the system's ability to store VM configuration updates, effectively blocking changes to the Virtual Machine Instance (VMI). This allows the VM user to restrict the VM administrator's ability to manage the VM, leading to a denial of service for administrative operations.

  • Dec 30, 2025In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: mtd: spi-nor: Fix shift-out-of-bounds in spi_nor_set_erase_type spi_nor_set_erase_type() wCVE-2023-54295 · Computers, phones & browsers · Linux · reported by 416baaa9-dc9f-4396-8d5f-8c081fb06d67

    In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: mtd: spi-nor: Fix shift-out-of-bounds in spi_nor_set_erase_type spi_nor_set_erase_type() was used either to set or to mask out an erase type. When we used it to mask out an erase type a shift-out-of-bounds was hit: UBSAN: shift-out-of-bounds in drivers/mtd/spi-nor/core.c:2237:24 shift exponent 4294967295 is too large for 32-bit type 'int' The setting of the size_{shift, mask} and of the opcode are unnecessary when the erase size is zero, as throughout the code just the erase size is considered to determine whether an erase type is supported or not. Setting the opcode to 0xFF was wrong too as nobody guarantees that 0xFF is an unused opcode. Thus when masking out an erase type, just set the erase size to zero. This will fix the shift-out-of-bounds. [ta: refine changes, new commit message, fix compilation error]

    Improper Control of Generation of Code ('Code Injection') vulnerability in Progress DataDirect Connect for JDBC drivers, Progress DataDirect Open Access JDBC driver and Hybrid Data Pipeline allows Remote Code Inclusion. The SpyAttribute connection option implemented by the DataDirect Connect for JDBC drivers, DataDirect Hybrid Data Pipeline JDBC driver and the DataDirect OpenAccess JDBC driver log=(file) construct allows the user to specify an arbitrary file for the JDBC driver to write its log information to.  If an application allows an end user to specify a value for the SpyAttributes connection option then an attacker could cause java script to be written to a log file.  If the log file was in the correct location with the correct extension, an application server could see that log file as a resource to be served.  The attacker could fetch the resource from the server causing the java script to be executed. This issue affects: DataDirect Connect for JDBC for Amazon Redshift: through 6.0.0.001392, fixed in 6.0.0.001541 DataDirect Connect for JDBC for Apache Cassandra: through 6.0.0.000805, fixed in 6.0.0.000833 DataDirect Connect for JDBC for Hive: through 6.0.1.00149

    In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: wifi: brcmfmac: Fix potential shift-out-of-bounds in brcmf_fw_alloc_request() This patch fixes a shift-out-of-bounds in brcmfmac that occurs in BIT(chiprev) when a 'chiprev' provided by the device is too large. A flaw was found in Red Hat Openshift AI Service. A low-privileged attacker with access to an authenticated account, for example as a data scientist using a standard Jupyter notebook, can escalate their privileges to a full cluster administrator. This allows for the complete compromise of the cluster's confidentiality, integrity, and availability. The attacker can steal sensitive data, disrupt all services, and take control of the underlying infrastructure, leading to a total breach of the platform and all applications hosted on it.

    A container privilege escalation flaw was found in KServe ModelMesh container images. This issue stems from the /etc/passwd file being created with group-writable permissions during build time. In certain conditions, an attacker who can execute commands within an affected container, even as a non-root user, can leverage their membership in the root group to modify the /etc/passwd file. This could allow the attacker to add a new user with any arbitrary UID, including UID 0, leading to full root privileges within the container.

Before folio_batch_release() crashes due to this API violation, the function ceph_shift_unused_folios_left() is supposed to remove those NULLs from the array. However, since commit ce80b76dd327 ("ceph: introduce ceph_process_folio_batch() method"), this shifting doesn't happen anymore because the "for" loop got moved to ceph_process_folio_batch(), and now the `i` variable that remains in ceph_writepages_start() doesn't get incremented anymore, making the shifting effectively unreachable much of the time. Later, commit 1551ec61dc55 ("ceph: introduce ceph_submit_write() method") added more preconditions for doing the shift, replacing the `i` check (with something that is still just as broken): - if ceph_process_folio_batch() fails, shifting never happens - if ceph_move_dirty_page_in_page_array() was never called (because ceph_process_folio_batch() has returned early for some of various reasons), shifting never happens - if `processed_in_fbatch` is zero (bec
