Sep 3, 2026stream-json is a micro-library of stream components for processing JSON and JSONC with a minimal memory footprint.CVE-2026-71429 · Other software · uhop · reported by GitHubMedium 6.2
stream-json is a micro-library of stream components for processing JSON and JSONC with a minimal memory footprint. Prior to 3.5.0, the path filters pick, ignore, filter, and replace in src/core/filters/filter-base.js recompute the full path string from the nesting stack for every checkable token. Because the stack length equals the current nesting depth and a checkable token is emitted at every level, a depth D document costs O(D²) rather than O(D) to process. The issue is triggered by nesting depth rather than byte volume, including the documented pick({filter: 'data'}) traversal-until-match path, so an application that sends untrusted JSON through a string or RegExp filter can block the Node.js event loop and cause denial of service with a small deeply nested document. The streamArray, streamObject, and streamValues streamers are not affected because they use the constant-time asm.depth getter. This issue is fixed in version 3.5.0.

Sep 3, 2026A security vulnerability was discovered in Fleet's Helm template preprocessing where templates evaluated by the Fleet controller could reach network resources oCVE-2026-75036 · Other software · SUSE · reported by meissner@suse.deMedium 5.3
A security vulnerability was discovered in Fleet's Helm template preprocessing where templates evaluated by the Fleet controller could reach network resources outside the management cluster. A user who can supply bundle content to a repository referenced by a `GitRepo` resource can cause the Fleet controller to: - Disclose cluster metadata available to the templating context. - Reveal information about hosts reachable from the controller's network position. Because the disclosure channel is name resolution, it may remain effective in environments where outbound traffic is otherwise restricted. The disclosed information is limited to values exposed to the Fleet templating context and to name resolution results. Integrity and availability of managed clusters are not affected. This issue affects Fleet: from 0.12.0 before 0.12.19, from 0.13.0 before 0.13.15, from 0.14.0 before 0.14.10, from 0.15.0 before 0.15.6, and from 0.16.0 before 0.16.1.

Sep 3, 2026zlib versions 1.3.1.2 through 1.3.2 contain a heap buffer overflow vulnerability in the gz_vacate() function when processing non-blocking gzwrite() operations wCVE-2026-85091 · Other software · zlib · reported by VulnCheckHigh 8.3
zlib versions 1.3.1.2 through 1.3.2 contain a heap buffer overflow vulnerability in the gz_vacate() function when processing non-blocking gzwrite() operations with stale external buffer pointers. Attackers can trigger the overflow by calling gzprintf() or gzvprintf() after a write stall, causing an unchecked memmove() to write beyond the internal input buffer boundary.

Sep 2, 2026Nuclio is a "Serverless" framework for Real-Time Events and Data Processing.CVE-2026-79756 · Other software · nuclio · reported by GitHubHigh 8.7
Nuclio is a "Serverless" framework for Real-Time Events and Data Processing. Prior to version 1.17.4, the fix for unauthenticated OS command injection in the nuclio dashboard on the local/Docker platform is incomplete. The fix added validateFunctionName for function names and common.Quote() for the named-resource shell command path, but the list-all resource path (triggered when no specific resource name is provided) still interpolates the resourceNamespace parameter unquoted into a /bin/sh -c command string. An unauthenticated attacker can inject shell metacharacters via the X-Nuclio-Function-Namespace, X-Nuclio-Project-Namespace, or X-Nuclio-Function-Event-Namespace HTTP headers to achieve arbitrary command execution inside the dashboard container. This issue has been patched in version 1.17.4.

Sep 2, 2026Nuclio is a "Serverless" framework for Real-Time Events and Data Processing.CVE-2026-79755 · Other software · nuclio · reported by GitHubHigh 8
Nuclio is a "Serverless" framework for Real-Time Events and Data Processing. Prior to version 1.17.4, on the Nuclio local Docker platform, the function namespace is interpolated—unvalidated—into a double-quoted docker ps --filter "label=nuclio.io/namespace=<value>" command that is executed via the host shell (/bin/sh -c). Because the default auth kind is nop (unauthenticated), a remote attacker can inject arbitrary OS commands that run as root inside the dashboard container, which holds the Docker socket → host compromise. This issue has been patched in version 1.17.4.

Sep 2, 2026Nuclio is a "Serverless" framework for Real-Time Events and Data Processing.CVE-2026-79754 · Other software · nuclio · reported by GitHubHigh 7.1
Nuclio is a "Serverless" framework for Real-Time Events and Data Processing. From version 1.6.19 to before version 1.17.2, Nuclio's Dashboard build pipeline does not sanitize the spec.build.tempDir field before using it to construct a shell command. When the Kaniko container builder is enabled, a user with function-create permission can inject shell metacharacters into this field and achieve arbitrary command execution inside the Dashboard container, which runs with a Kubernetes service account holding wildcard access to Secrets, Pods, Jobs, and Deployments in its namespace. This issue has been patched in version 1.17.2.

Sep 2, 2026Nuclio is a "Serverless" framework for Real-Time Events and Data Processing.CVE-2026-52833 · Other software · nuclio · reported by GitHubHigh 8
Nuclio is a "Serverless" framework for Real-Time Events and Data Processing. Prior to version 1.16.5, Nuclio's Java runtime generates a build.gradle file during function builds using Go's text/template package. The template renders runtimeAttributes.repositories[] values with the {{ . }} action, which performs no escaping. An attacker can embed a closing brace (}) to break out of the repositories {} block and append arbitrary Groovy statements that execute unconditionally during the Gradle configuration phase. This issue has been patched in version 1.16.5.

Nuclio is a "Serverless" framework for Real-Time Events and Data Processing. Prior to version 1.16.4, the Nuclio controller builds a curl invocation string for each cron trigger and stores it as the args of a Kubernetes CronJob container (/bin/sh, -c, <command>). Sep 2, 2026Description NGINX JavaScript (njs) and QuickJS (qjs) engines have a vulnerability when a js_access handler performs asynchronous request body processing and anCVE-2026-18329 · Network & remote access · F5 · reported by f5sirt@f5.comHigh 8.8
Description NGINX JavaScript (njs) and QuickJS (qjs) engines have a vulnerability when a js_access handler performs asynchronous request body processing and an exception is thrown during asynchronous access-control evaluation before an explicit access denial is returned. An unauthenticated attacker can exploit this vulnerability by sending a crafted HTTP request that triggers an error condition in the access validation logic. This may cause the js_access phase to fail open, allowing the request to proceed instead of being denied, resulting in an authentication or authorization bypass and unauthorized access to protected resources. Impact This vulnerability may allow remote attackers to bypass js_access controls. There is no control plane exposure; this is a data plane issue only. Note: Software versions which have reached End of Technical Support (EoTS) are not evaluated.

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: s390/vfio_ccw: Limit the number of channel program segments The processing of channel programs, and the CCWs within them, is done recursively. As such, there is an arbitrary (but not architectural) limit to the number of CCWs that can exist in a single channel program. The vfio-ccw logic breaks these channel programs into segments whenever it encounters a Transfer-In-Channel (TIC) CCW, and the combined number of segments count towards the global limit. Impose an equivalent limit to the number of segments until such logic can be made non-recursive.

Aug 26, 2026A stack-based buffer overflow vulnerability exists in the Dia diagram editor when processing Network Bus objects from Dia XML project files.CVE-2026-77658 · Other software · GNOME · reported by patrick@puiterwijk.orgHigh 7.8
A stack-based buffer overflow vulnerability exists in the Dia diagram editor when processing Network Bus objects from Dia XML project files. In objects/network/bus.c, bus_load() reads the number of bus handles from the file attribute "bus_handles" using attribute_num_data() without validating an upper bound: bus->num_handles = attribute_num_data(attr); When a bus handle is subsequently moved, bus_handle_moved() allocates two temporary arrays on the stack: parallel = (real *)g_alloca(num_handles * sizeof(real)); perp = (real *)g_alloca(num_handles * sizeof(real)); Because num_handles is fully attacker-controlled via the project file, sufficiently large values (for example 262144 or higher) cause g_alloca() to consume more stack space than the default thread stack limit (typically 8 MB on Linux), resulting in stack overflow, SIGSEGV, and potential stack frame / return-address corruption. An attacker can embed a Bus object with an excessive bus_handles count in a malicious .dia file. Exploitation requires the victim to open the file in Dia (file dialog, command line, or file association) and trigger handle manipulation (moving a bus handle), which exercises the vulne

Aug 25, 2026An algorithmic complexity flaw exists in libsoup's HTTP Range header processing that persists after the CVE-2025-32907 fix.CVE-2026-77680 · Other software · Red Hat · reported by Red HatMedium 5.3
An algorithmic complexity flaw exists in libsoup's HTTP Range header processing that persists after the CVE-2025-32907 fix. CVE-2025-32907 addressed memory amplification when a client repeated the same range many times in a single Range header. Commit 9bb92f7a corrected merge correctness in soup_message_headers_get_ranges_internal() in libsoup/soup-message-headers.c, but the coalescing loop still removes merged ranges using g_array_remove_index() for each coalesced element. Because GArray is contiguous, each mid-array removal performs an O(N) memmove. When many identical satisfiable ranges are supplied (for example bytes=0-0 repeated thousands of times), the loop performs O(N²) work coalescing them into a single range. The vulnerable path is reachable server-side from handle_partial_get() in libsoup/server/http1/soup-server-message-io-http1.c when a SoupServer handler returns HTTP 200 with a non-empty body. No authentication is required. The number of ranges is bounded only by the maximum request header size (~100 KiB), allowing roughly 25,000 ranges per request. Reporter measurements on libsoup HEAD containing the CVE-2025-32907 fix show ~90 ms single-core CPU per such request a

Aug 24, 2026A vulnerability was found in RPM's rpmbuild tarball processing.CVE-2026-78367 · Other software · Red Hat · reported by Red HatHigh 7
A vulnerability was found in RPM's rpmbuild tarball processing. When processing a crafted source archive, the getTarSpec() function in tools/rpmbuild.cc passes an attacker-controlled tar archive member name to rpmExpand() as part of a %{basename:...} macro expression. A specially crafted .spec member name can therefore inject RPM macros, including Lua expressions, resulting in arbitrary code execution with the privileges of the user running rpmbuild. This can be exploited when a victim or automated build system processes an attacker-controlled source tarball using rpmbuild tarball mode (such as -ts, -ta, or -tb).

Aug 24, 2026A path traversal vulnerability in LXD's instance template processing allows an attacker with container edit permissions, or any user launching a crafted image, CVE-2026-66897 · Other software · Canonical · reported by security@ubuntu.comCritical 9.9
A path traversal vulnerability in LXD's instance template processing allows an attacker with container edit permissions, or any user launching a crafted image, to overwrite arbitrary files on the host system as root. When processing target template paths specified in metadata.yaml, LXD validates the path against a confined os.Root directory handle but subsequently opens and creates the file using os.Create with an unconfined string path. This discrepancy between path resolution checks and file creation allows an attacker to escape directory confinement, overwrite root-owned host files, and achieve host root code execution.

Aug 22, 2026In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: xsk: validate metadata when processing requests The zero-copy path validates TX metadata wCVE-2026-74707 · Computers, phones & browsers · Linux · reported by 416baaa9-dc9f-4396-8d5f-8c081fb06d67High 7.8
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: xsk: validate metadata when processing requests The zero-copy path validates TX metadata while obtaining the descriptor context, then reads it again later when preparing the hardware request. User space can change the metadata between those operations and bypass the original validation. Validate the metadata in xsk_tx_metadata_request() and use the resulting flags snapshot for every feature check. Read request fields once so all zero-copy drivers process only values observed after successful validation.

Aug 21, 2026A denial-of-service vulnerability was identified in misp-stix when processing attacker-controlled STIX 1 or STIX 2 documents.CVE-2026-77755 · Other software · misp · reported by 5a6e4751-2f3f-4070-9419-94fb35b644e8High 8.7
A denial-of-service vulnerability was identified in misp-stix when processing attacker-controlled STIX 1 or STIX 2 documents. The STIX import code used sys.exit() to handle several parsing and loading failures. Because SystemExit inherits from BaseException rather than Exception, these failures bypassed the exception handlers used by callers of the library. As a result, a malformed STIX document could terminate a long-running importer process instead of returning a recoverable parsing error. Additionally, no limit was imposed on the size of STIX documents before parsing. A submitted document was therefore read and materialised in memory before its validity or type was evaluated. Depending on the document and parsing path, processing could consume approximately two to seven times the input size in memory, allowing a sufficiently large STIX document to cause excessive memory and CPU consumption and potentially terminate or severely degrade the importing service. An attacker able to provide STIX content to a MISP-STIX import workflow could exploit either condition to affect availability. A malformed document could cause abnormal process termination through an uncaught SystemExit, w

Aug 20, 2026libvips is a fast image processing library with low memory needs.CVE-2026-70654 · Other software · libvips · reported by GitHubMedium 5.8
libvips is a fast image processing library with low memory needs. Prior to version 8.18.3, applications that define unusual custom libvips sources and use them to process untrusted uncompressed PPM images can trigger a max/min error in vips_source_read_to_memory in libvips/iofuncs/source.c. The function uses VIPS_MAX instead of VIPS_MIN when selecting the remaining read size, allowing up to 4032 bytes to be written beyond the allocated heap buffer and causing memory corruption or a process crash. This issue is fixed in version 8.18.3.

Aug 20, 2026libvips is a fast image processing library with low memory needs.CVE-2026-70653 · Other software · libvips · reported by GitHubMedium 4.8
libvips is a fast image processing library with low memory needs. Prior to version 8.18.3, the old-style Radiance RLE decoder in libvips/foreign/radiance.c can process a repeat marker at the beginning of a scanline in scanline_read_old and read q[-1] before any prior pixel exists. A crafted Radiance image loaded through VipsForeignLoadRad can therefore disclose four bytes of adjacent heap data, most likely other image data. This issue is fixed in version 8.18.3.

libvips is a fast image processing library with low memory needs. Prior to version 8.18.3, libvips built with libultrahdr support can incorrectly size an output buffer in libvips/foreign/uhdrsave.c within vips_foreign_save_uhdr_set_raw_hdr when a pipeline enlarges an incoming JPEG to a very large output before encoding a gain map through VipsForeignSaveUhdr. The undersized allocation can cause a heap buffer over-read that may disclose adjacent data or crash the process. This issue is fixed in version 8.18.3.

Aug 20, 2026libvips is a fast image processing library with low memory needs.CVE-2026-70651 · Other software · libvips · reported by GitHubMedium 6.9
libvips is a fast image processing library with low memory needs. Prior to version 8.18.3, libvips built without libtiff support but with ImageMagick support can overflow the combined frame height while loading a crafted multi-page TIFF through VipsForeignLoadMagick. The vulnerable calculations in libvips/foreign/magick6load.c and libvips/foreign/magick7load.c multiply the per-page Ysize by n_frames without a checked bound, which can cause a heap buffer over-read and process crash. Most package-manager builds include libtiff and do not use this affected fallback path. This issue is fixed in version 8.18.3.

Aug 20, 2026libvips is a fast image processing library with low memory needs.CVE-2026-69242 · Other software · libvips · reported by GitHubHigh 8.4
libvips is a fast image processing library with low memory needs. Prior to version 8.18.3, a crafted many-band TIFF processed through VipsForeignLoadTiff can evade scanline validation in libvips/iofuncs/image.c and cause an integer overflow in vips_image_sanity. The resulting buffer-region calculation can access attacker-controlled negative offsets in mmap-resident allocations, allowing reads or writes of other image data, possible data disclosure through uncompressed .v output, and likely process crashes. Remote code execution has not been demonstrated but cannot be ruled out. This issue is fixed in version 8.18.3.
