In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: accel/qaic: Treat remaining == 0 as error in find_and_map_user_pages() Currently, if find_and_map_user_pages() takes a DMA xfer request from the user with a length field set to 0, or in a rare case, the host receives QAIC_TRANS_DMA_XFER_CONT from the device where resources->xferred_dma_size is equal to the requested transaction size, the function will return 0 before allocating an sgt or setting the fields of the dma_xfer struct. In that case, encode_addr_size_pairs() will try to access the sgt which will lead to a general protection fault. Return an EINVAL in case the user provides a zero-sized ALP, or the device requests continuation after all of the bytes have been transferred.

  • Nov 12, 2025In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: xen/events: Return -EEXIST for bound VIRQs Change find_virq() to return -EEXIST when a VIRCVE-2025-40160 · Computers, phones & browsers · Linux · reported by 416baaa9-dc9f-4396-8d5f-8c081fb06d67

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: xen/events: Return -EEXIST for bound VIRQs Change find_virq() to return -EEXIST when a VIRQ is bound to a different CPU than the one passed in. With that, remove the BUG_ON() from bind_virq_to_irq() to propogate the error upwards. Some VIRQs are per-cpu, but others are per-domain or global. Those must be bound to CPU0 and can then migrate elsewhere. The lookup for per-domain and global will probably fail when migrated off CPU 0, especially when the current CPU is tracked. This now returns -EEXIST instead of BUG_ON(). A second call to bind a per-domain or global VIRQ is not expected, but make it non-fatal to avoid trying to look up the irq, since we don't know which per_cpu(virq_to_irq) it will be in.

  • Oct 28, 2025In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: smc: Fix use-after-free in __pnet_find_base_ndev().CVE-2025-40064 · Computers, phones & browsers · Linux · reported by 416baaa9-dc9f-4396-8d5f-8c081fb06d67High 7.8

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: smc: Fix use-after-free in __pnet_find_base_ndev(). syzbot reported use-after-free of net_device in __pnet_find_base_ndev(), which was called during connect(). [0] smc_pnet_find_ism_resource() fetches sk_dst_get(sk)->dev and passes down to pnet_find_base_ndev(), where RTNL is held. Then, UAF happened at __pnet_find_base_ndev() when the dev is first used. This means dev had already been freed before acquiring RTNL in pnet_find_base_ndev(). While dev is going away, dst->dev could be swapped with blackhole_netdev, and the dev's refcnt by dst will be released. We must hold dev's refcnt before calling smc_pnet_find_ism_resource(). Also, smc_pnet_find_roce_resource() has the same problem. Let's use __sk_dst_get() and dst_dev_rcu() in the two functions. [CAUSE] As usual, the reproducer doesn't reliably trigger locally here, but at least we know the WARN_ON() is triggered when an inline backref can not be found, and it can only be triggered when @insert is true. (I.e. inserting a new inline backref, which means the backref should already exist) [ENHANCEMENT] After the WARN_ON(), dump all the parameters and the extent tree leaf to help debug.

The Service Finder Bookings plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to privilege escalation via account takeover in all versions up to, and including, 6.0. This is due to the plugin not properly validating a user's identity prior to claiming a business when using the claim_business AJAX action. This makes it possible for unauthenticated attackers to login as any user including admins. Please note that subscriber privileges or brute-forcing are needed when completing the business takeover. The claim_id is needed to takeover the admin account, but brute-forcing is a practical approach to obtaining valid IDs.

If we matched a state for CPU2 in the state_cache while the lookup started on CPU1, we will jump to "found", but the "best" state that we got will be ignored and we will enter the "acquire" block. This block uses state_ptrs, which isn't initialized at this point. Let's initialize state_ptrs just after taking rcu_read_lock. This will also prevent a possible misuse in the future, if someone adjusts this function.
