  • Sep 1, 2026BetterDocs – AI Documentation, Knowledge Base, Docs, Wikis, FAQ with Chatbot: Stored Cross-Site ScriptingCVE-2026-75980 · WordPress plugins & themes · reported by WordfenceMedium 6.4

The BetterDocs – AI Documentation, Knowledge Base, Docs, Wikis, FAQ with Chatbot plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to Stored Cross-Site Scripting via Heading 'id' Attribute in Post Content in all versions up to, and including, 4.8.1 due to insufficient input sanitization and output escaping. This makes it possible for authenticated attackers, with contributor-level access and above, to inject arbitrary web scripts in pages that will execute whenever a user accesses an injected page. The exploit survives wp_kses_post because entity-encoded quotes in a heading id attribute are treated as a single legitimate attribute value at save time; the dangerous payload only materialises after process_content_for_toc() calls html_entity_decode() on the stored content and the broken id is extracted by a lazy regex before being echoed unescaped into the Table of Contents output.

  • Aug 27, 2026Dolibarr before 23.0.4 authorizes REST API document deletion against the wrong permission.CVE-2026-81729 · Other software · Dolibarr · reported by VulnCheckHigh 7.1

Dolibarr before 23.0.4 authorizes REST API document deletion against the wrong permission. Documents::delete() in htdocs/api/class/api_documents.class.php calls dol_check_secure_access_document() with the mode argument 'read' when handling DELETE /api/index.php/documents, while the sibling builddoc() path passes 'write', the correct mode for an operation that modifies stored data. An authenticated API user who holds only a read permission for a document-bearing module, for example societe:lire or facture:lire, and no create, write, delete or admin permission, therefore passes the check and can permanently delete that module's documents: third-party files, invoices, orders, proposals, project files and generated PDFs, with no recovery path. The call site is htdocs/api/class/api_documents.class.php:1276 in 23.0.3 and passes 'write' from 23.0.4 onward.

A MongoDB C# driver document-replacement code path omits the element-name/shape validation that the equivalent write paths apply, so a value supplied as a replacement is forwarded to the server without neutralization of query-language special elements. Compliance-trestle (Trestle) is a Python SDK and command-line tool for managing OSCAL compliance documents. In versions before 3.12.4 and versions 4.0.0 through 4.0.3, the catalog-generate, profile-generate, and ssp-generate author commands write generated Markdown to an attacker-influenced output path without path-traversal validation, allowing arbitrary file write outside the Trestle workspace. These commands join the user-supplied output argument onto the Trestle root and write to the result, but guard it only with an is_directory_name_allowed() task-name-collision check rather than the PathSecurityValidator.validate_local_path() guard used by the jinja command, so an absolute path or one containing traversal sequences escapes the workspace and writes files under an attacker-chosen location as the invoking process owner. The security boundary is crossed when a trusted CI job, shared service, or wrapper derives the output argument from repository-controlled, tenant-controlled, or otherwise untrusted data while expecting output to stay inside the workspace. When --force-overwrite is used, the selected output directory is first recursively deleted, extending the primitive to destru

Compliance-trestle (Trestle) is a Python SDK and command-line tool for managing OSCAL compliance documents. In versions prior to 3.12.4 and 4.0.0 through 4.0.3, the custom Jinja2 include tags mdsection_include and md_clean_include re-parse the content of an included Markdown file as Jinja2 template code in a non-sandboxed environment, allowing server-side template injection that can lead to arbitrary code execution. The MDSectionInclude and MDCleanInclude tags in Trestle/core/jinja/tags.py pass included file content to Parser(self.environment, ...).parse(), splicing it into the host template's compilation, and the environment is a plain jinja2.Environment rather than a SandboxedEnvironment, so any expressions in the file are evaluated with full access to the usual SSTI gadget chain. Because Trestle's Markdown writers emit OSCAL prose and component-description fields verbatim, applying delimiter neutralization only to parameter tables, attacker-controlled OSCAL data such as a control statement, part prose, or component description containing Jinja2 syntax flows into an included Markdown file and is executed when the include tag re-parses it. This issue is fixed in version 4.1.0.

Compliance-trestle (Trestle) is a Python SDK and command-line tool for managing OSCAL compliance documents. In versions before 3.12.4 and versions 4.0.0 through 4.0.3, Trestle is vulnerable to server-side template injection that can lead to remote code execution. This occurs because the MDCleanInclude and MDSectionInclude Jinja2 tags re-parse untrusted Markdown content as template source code using a non-sandboxed jinja2.Environment. An attacker who controls content that Trestle renders, such as a crafted workspace Markdown file, a third-party SSP document, or a YAML lookup-table value, can inject a Jinja2 expression that traverses Python object internals to execute arbitrary operating system commands in the context of the Trestle process. This issue is fixed in versions 3.12.4 and 4.1.0.

A parser state isolation vulnerability in misp-stix could cause data from a previously processed STIX document to be retained and incorporated into the MISP event generated from a subsequent document when the same parser instance is reused. Several STIX 1 and STIX 2 parser components maintained per-document state that was not completely cleared between conversions. In the STIX 2 parser, galaxy and galaxy-cluster information, including custom galaxy clusters, could survive a parser reset and subsequently be associated with objects from another bundle. The STIX 1 parsers were affected by the same underlying state-management issue. Depending on the parser type, retained information could include galaxies, references, passive DNS bookkeeping, package titles, dates, and timestamps. As a result, parsing a second STIX package with an already-used parser could produce a MISP event containing information that was present only in the previously processed package. For example, a generated event could inherit passive DNS records from an earlier document, reference unrelated galaxy information, combine titles from different packages, or use timestamps originating from another conversion. A denial-of-service vulnerability was identified in misp-stix when processing attacker-controlled STIX 1 or STIX 2 documents. The STIX import code used sys.exit() to handle several parsing and loading failures. Because SystemExit inherits from BaseException rather than Exception, these failures bypassed the exception handlers used by callers of the library. As a result, a malformed STIX document could terminate a long-running importer process instead of returning a recoverable parsing error. Additionally, no limit was imposed on the size of STIX documents before parsing. A submitted document was therefore read and materialised in memory before its validity or type was evaluated. Depending on the document and parsing path, processing could consume approximately two to seven times the input size in memory, allowing a sufficiently large STIX document to cause excessive memory and CPU consumption and potentially terminate or severely degrade the importing service. An attacker able to provide STIX content to a MISP-STIX import workflow could exploit either condition to affect availability. A malformed document could cause abnormal process termination through an uncaught SystemExit, w

A vulnerability in misp-stix could allow a crafted STIX document to influence security-sensitive MISP attribute metadata during import. The STIX import logic automatically selected between the internal MISP parser and the external STIX parser based on metadata contained in the STIX document itself. For STIX2, the presence of MISP-specific tool labels could cause a document to be classified as originating from MISP; similarly, STIX1 relied on the document title. These classification indicators are fully controlled by the STIX producer and therefore cannot constitute a trusted indication of the document's origin. The accompanying fix explicitly notes that the parser choice was previously based solely on labels or header titles that any producer could write, and introduces an explicit classification parameter allowing callers to override this detection. When STIX2 content was handled as an internal MISP export, attributes contained in an x-misp-object were converted by copying the complete x_misp_attributes dictionary and passing it directly to misp_object.add_attribute(). Consequently, a crafted STIX bundle could supply fields that were not part of the expected STIX-to-MISP round-t

SitemapLoader.parse_sitemap in langchain_community/document_loaders/sitemap.py applies the documented restrict_to_same_domain control only to leaf url entries. The loop over url elements filters cross-domain locations, but the loop over nested sitemap elements passes the child loc straight to self.scrape_all([loc.text], "xml"), which reaches WebBaseLoader.scrape_all and an aiohttp GET, with no domain comparison and no check for private, loopback or link-local destinations. An attacker who controls or influences an ingested sitemap can therefore point a nested sitemap entry at an internal address and make the server fetch it even when the deploying application set restrict_to_same_domain to True specifically to confine outbound requests. The fetched content is parsed and surfaces in the returned Documents, so internal responses are disclosed to the caller rather than merely requested.

The response body is returned as Element text, allowing internal response disclosure, and side-effecting GET endpoints may also be triggered. This issue is fixed in version 0.24.0.

WeasyPrint helps web developers to create PDF documents. Prior to 69.0, WeasyPrint embeds unescaped HTML presentational-hint attribute values into CSS in weasyprint/css/__init__.py when presentational_hints=True. The background attribute is inserted into a background-image:url() declaration and parsed by tinycss2.parse_blocks_contents(), allowing untrusted HTML to inject additional CSS declarations. Applications that render untrusted HTML with presentational hints enabled can be affected by CSS injection and server-side requests through injected url() values. The Advanced File Manager – Ultimate File Manager for WordPress And Document Library Solution plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to Stored Cross-Site Scripting via the 'soundFile' parameter in all versions up to, and including, 5.4.12 due to insufficient input sanitization and output escaping. This makes it possible for unauthenticated attackers to inject arbitrary web scripts in pages that will execute whenever a user accesses an injected page. Exploitation requires the attacker to control a domain whose origin string is a leading prefix of the target site's backend URL (e.g. https://example.co against https://example.com), and the victim must be an authenticated WordPress administrator who visits the attacker-controlled page while the File Manager admin screen is open.

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: batman-adv: ensure minimal ethernet header on TX As documented in commit 8bd67ebb50c0 ("net: bridge: xmit: make sure we have at least eth header len bytes"), it is possible by for a local user with eBPF TC hook access to attach a tc filter which truncates the packet and redirects to an batadv interface. But the code assumes that at least ETH_HLEN bytes are available and thus might read outside of the available buffer. The batadv_interface_tx() must therefore always check itself if enough data is available for the ethernet header and don't rely on min_header_len.

  • Aug 12, 2026PDF::WebKit versions through 1.2 for Perl allow argument injection into wkhtmltopdf via meta tags in the source document.CVE-2026-16770 · Other software · MITHALDU · reported by 9b29abf9-4ab0-4765-b253-1875cd9b441eCritical 9.8

PDF::WebKit versions through 1.2 for Perl allow argument injection into wkhtmltopdf via meta tags in the source document. For an HTML string or file source, the constructor collects every <meta name="pdf-webkit-KEY" content="VALUE"> element in the document head through _pdf_webkit_meta_tags and turns each one into a wkhtmltopdf command line option. KEY is normalized to an option name matching --[a-z0-9-]+ but is not checked against an allow list, VALUE is passed through unchanged as the argument that follows it, and a VALUE of "yes" emits the option as a bare flag. BUILD merges the meta derived options last, so they also override the module defaults and the options passed to new. Switches such as --enable-local-file-access and --cookie-jar are reachable this way. The renderer is executed with an argument list rather than a shell command, so this is argument injection and not shell injection. Any caller that renders untrusted HTML lets the document choose the renderer's options and override those set by the application, including options that read local files into the resulting PDF or write to a chosen path. A URL source is not scanned, and the scan is skipped when XML::LibXML, a
