• Sep 12, 2026The Events Calendar: Remote Code ExecutionCVE-2026-78006 · WordPress plugins & themes · reported by WordfenceCritical 9.8

The The Events Calendar plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to Remote Code Execution in all versions up to, and including, 6.17.4 via the is_safe_widget_instance function. This is due to insufficient protection in is_safe_widget_instance, which can be bypassed because PHP fires magic methods during its pre-parse, combined with enable_rendering_widget_copied() forging a valid wp_hash integrity attribute before unserialize() is reached. This makes it possible for unauthenticated attackers to execute code on the server. This is exploitable without authentication or approval because the plugin's V2 single-event template runs do_blocks() over buffered comment HTML, and WordPress returns a moderation-hash URL that allows an unauthenticated commenter to immediately view their own pending comment, delivering the injected block markup to the vulnerable code path before any moderation occurs. This does require comments to be enabled and visible on events.

The Booking for Appointments and Events Calendar WordPress plugin before 9.8.1 does not verify that a payment was actually taken before recording a booking as paid, trusting the payment gateway named in a public, unauthenticated booking request even when the site has never configured that gateway. This lets an unauthenticated attacker obtain confirmed, fully paid appointments and events without any payment being collected.

  • Sep 11, 2026Floating Chat Widget: Contact Chat Icons, Telegram Chat, Line Messenger, WeChat, Email, SMS, Call Button – Chaty: Reflected Cross-Site ScriptingCVE-2026-18964 · WordPress plugins & themes · reported by WordfenceMedium 6.1

The Floating Chat Widget: Contact Chat Icons, Telegram Chat, Line Messenger, WeChat, Email, SMS, Call Button – Chaty plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to Reflected Cross-Site Scripting via the 's' parameter in all versions up to, and including, 3.5.9 due to insufficient input sanitization and output escaping. This makes it possible for unauthenticated attackers to inject arbitrary web scripts in pages that execute if they can successfully trick a user into performing an action such as clicking on a link. WordPress's server-side HTML encoding of the 's' search parameter in the <title> element is bypassed because the browser DOM API decodes HTML entities when jQuery's .text() method reads document.title, returning literal special characters that are then embedded unescaped into the constructed HTML attribute value.

  • Sep 11, 2026Booktics – Booking Calendar for Appointments and Service Businesses: Unauthorized modification of dataCVE-2026-11446 · WordPress plugins & themes · reported by WordfenceMedium 5.3

The Booktics – Booking Calendar for Appointments and Service Businesses plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to unauthorized modification of data in all versions up to, and including, 1.0.23. This is due to the create_order_permission() permission callback on the POST /wp-json/booktics/v1/orders REST route unconditionally returning true, combined with find_and_update_guest() overwriting an existing customer record's stored name, phone, and wp_user_id whenever the caller-supplied email matches, with no proof of ownership. This makes it possible for unauthenticated attackers to overwrite the contact details (name and phone) of any existing customer whose email address they know, poisoning downstream reminder emails, SMS, calendar invites, and CRM data.

  • Sep 10, 2026Bulk Password Reset: Privilege escalationCVE-2026-14873 · WordPress plugins & themes · reported by WordfenceHigh 8

The Bulk Password Reset plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to privilege escalation via account takeover in all versions up to, and including, 1.3.3. This is due to the plugin not properly validating a user's identity prior to updating their details like arbitrary user passwords, including administrator passwords, to a known plugin-configured custom value, enabling full account takeover of the site. This makes it possible for authenticated attackers, with subscriber-level access and above, to change arbitrary user's email addresses, including administrators, and leverage that to reset the user's password and gain access to their account.

  • Sep 9, 2026YITH WooCommerce Waitlist Premium: Privilege EscalationCVE-2026-14359 · WordPress plugins & themes · reported by WordfenceHigh 8.8

The YITH WooCommerce Waitlist Premium plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to Privilege Escalation in versions up to, and including, 3.35.0. This is due to the add_user_in_waiting_list() function registered on the wp_ajax_yith_wcwtl_add_user action being missing both a capability check and a nonce verification, and using parse_str() + extract() to import attacker-controlled variables from $_POST['params'] that are then passed to wp_create_user() and $user->set_role(). This makes it possible for authenticated attackers, with Subscriber-level access and above, to elevate their privileges to that of an administrator by creating a new user account and assigning it the administrator role.

  • Sep 9, 2026PublishPress Capabilities – User Role Editor, Access Permissions, User Capabilities, Admin Menus: Privilege EscalationCVE-2026-75927 · WordPress plugins & themes · reported by WordfenceHigh 7.2

The PublishPress Capabilities – User Role Editor, Access Permissions, User Capabilities, Admin Menus plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to Privilege Escalation in all versions up to, and including, 2.50.0. This is due to the `addPluginCapabilities()` function unconditionally granting the Editor role all 15 `manage_capabilities_*` capabilities — including `manage_capabilities`, `manage_capabilities_roles`, `manage_capabilities_settings`, and `manage_capabilities_backup` — via a hard-coded `$eligible_roles = ['administrator', 'editor']` assignment that runs automatically on the first `admin_init` after plugin activation with no administrator opt-in, persisting the grants directly to the database. This makes it possible for authenticated attackers with Editor-level access to elevate their privileges to a site-wide capability manager, enabling them to create, rename, and delete non-system roles, modify capabilities of non-administrator roles, restore role backups, and write arbitrary plugin options whose names begin with `cme_`, `capsman`, `pp_capabilities`, or `presspermit` via `update_option()`. The escalation stops short of full Administrator access, as WordPress's `map_meta_cap` la

The Eventin – Event Calendar, Event Registration, Tickets & Booking (AI Powered) plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to authorization bypass in all versions up to, and including, 4.1.17. This is due to the plugin not properly verifying that a user is authorized to perform an action. This makes it possible for authenticated attackers, with subscriber-level access and above, to view, create, update, clone, and delete notification flow event automation workflows that should be restricted to administrators.

  • Sep 9, 2026My Calendar – Accessible Event Manager: Stored Cross-Site ScriptingCVE-2026-77186 · WordPress plugins & themes · reported by WordfenceMedium 6.4

The My Calendar – Accessible Event Manager plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to Stored Cross-Site Scripting via 'fallback' Shortcode Attribute in all versions up to, and including, 3.8.3 due to insufficient input sanitization and output escaping. This makes it possible for authenticated attackers, with contributor-level access and above, to inject arbitrary web scripts in pages that will execute whenever a user accesses an injected page. The bypass relies on hex-encoded shortcode attribute payloads (e.g. \x3cscript\x3e), which wp_kses_post cannot strip on save because they appear as literal backslash sequences rather than real HTML tags; WordPress core's shortcode_parse_atts() then calls stripcslashes() at render time, decoding the escapes into real angle brackets before they reach the unescaped sink.

  • Sep 9, 2026WP EasyCart: Privilege escalationCVE-2026-17553 · WordPress plugins & themes · reported by WordfenceHigh 7.2

The WP EasyCart plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to privilege escalation in versions up to, and including, 5.9.3. This is due to the ec_ajax_save_page_default_options() AJAX handler iterating over every $_POST key and passing it directly into update_option() without any allowlist, while gating the handler only on 'manage_options' OR the plugin's custom 'wpec_manager' capability. The plugin's built-in 'wpec_store_manager' role holds 'wpec_manager' but not 'manage_options', and the required nonce is emitted on frontend product/category templates that render for any user with 'wpec_manager'. This makes it possible for authenticated attackers, with Store Manager-level access and above, to elevate their privileges to administrator by updating arbitrary WordPress options such as default_role='administrator' and users_can_register='1', then self-registering a new account that is assigned the administrator role.

  • Sep 8, 2026Eventin – Event Calendar, Event Registration, Tickets & Booking (AI Powered): Local File InclusionCVE-2026-15667 · WordPress plugins & themes · reported by WordfenceHigh 7.5

The Eventin – Event Calendar, Event Registration, Tickets & Booking (AI Powered) plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to Local File Inclusion in all versions up to, and including, 4.1.22 via the 'event_layout' parameter parameter. This makes it possible for authenticated attackers, with contributor-level access and above, to include and execute arbitrary .php files on the server, allowing the execution of any PHP code in those files. This can be used to bypass access controls, obtain sensitive data, or achieve code execution in cases where .php file types can be uploaded and included. The etn_manage_event capability is assigned to Contributors by default, meaning any Contributor-level user can set the malicious event_layout value via the REST API without any additional configuration.

  • Sep 7, 2026WP Fusion (Pro): Privilege EscalationCVE-2026-14444 · WordPress plugins & themes · reported by WordfenceHigh 7.5

The WP Fusion (Pro) plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to Privilege Escalation in all versions up to, and including, 3.47.13. This is due to insufficient authorization checks on the role parameter in the ThriveCart Auto Login handler's thrivecart() function. This makes it possible for authenticated attackers, with Subscriber-level access and above, and who possess the access_key, to create a new user account with administrator privileges and gain full control over the WordPress site. The required access_key is intentionally shared with ThriveCart customers as part of the plugin's documented setup process, making it accessible to attackers who have made a purchase. The vulnerability is only exploitable when the ThriveCart Auto Login option is enabled.

  • Sep 5, 2026Abandoned Cart Pro for WooCommerce: Privilege EscalationCVE-2026-81543 · WordPress plugins & themes · reported by WordfenceHigh 8.8

The Abandoned Cart Pro for WooCommerce plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to Privilege Escalation in all versions up to, and including, 10.7.1. This is due to missing capability checks and nonce verification on multiple AJAX actions including wcap_save_connector_settings, wcap_send_manual_email, wcap_abandoned_cart_info, and wcap_change_manual_email_data. This makes it possible for authenticated attackers, with subscriber-level access and above, to modify SMTP connector settings to route administrator recovery emails through an attacker-controlled server and intercept auto-login links to gain full administrative access. The plugin's auto-login feature must be enabled, which is the default configuration.

  • Sep 2, 2026Booking for Appointments and Events Calendar – Amelia (Premium): Privilege EscalationCVE-2026-9055 · WordPress plugins & themes · reported by WordfenceCritical 9.8

The Booking for Appointments and Events Calendar – Amelia (Premium) plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to Privilege Escalation in versions 8.0 - 9.6.2. This is due to insufficient validation of the attacker-controlled 'type' parameter in the customer update endpoint, which allows customers to set their role to 'manager' and trigger creation of a WordPress user with the wpamelia-manager role when the 'externalId' parameter is set to 0. This makes it possible for unauthenticated attackers to escalate their privileges to administrator by first elevating to the manager role, then creating a provider entity linked to an administrator user ID and overwriting that administrator's password.

  • Sep 1, 2026Nokri - Job Board: Privilege EscalationCVE-2026-18550 · WordPress plugins & themes · reported by WordfenceCritical 9.8

The Nokri - Job Board WordPress Theme for WordPress is vulnerable to Privilege Escalation via Account Takeover in all versions up to, and including, 1.6.6. This is due to insufficient reset token validation in the `nokri_reset_password()` function, which allows empty attacker-supplied reset tokens to match empty or unset `sb_password_forget_token` user meta values. This makes it possible for unauthenticated attackers to reset the password of any user, including administrators, and gain access to their account.

  • Aug 29, 2026Custom User Registration Fields for WooCommerce: Privilege EscalationCVE-2026-15369 · WordPress plugins & themes · reported by WordfenceCritical 9.8

The Custom User Registration Fields for WooCommerce plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to Privilege Escalation in versions up to, and including, 2.2.3. This is due to the plugin accepting an attacker-controlled afreg_select_user_role value from the unauthenticated WooCommerce Store API /wc/store/v1/checkout request in the af_reg_checkout_data_to_order_meta_data_block() function, persisting it in order meta, and then passing it directly to WP_User::add_role() in the af_reg_custom_order_processing_function() function (hooked to woocommerce_thankyou) without validating against the plugin's admin-configured allowed role list. This makes it possible for unauthenticated attackers to elevate their privileges to Administrator by creating an account during checkout with a modified JSON body specifying administrator (or any other role slug) as the desired role. Note: The exploit requires the "User Role Selection" setting to be enabled.

  • Aug 28, 2026Booking for Appointments and Events Calendar – Amelia: Stored Cross-Site ScriptingCVE-2026-6286 · WordPress plugins & themes · reported by WordfenceHigh 7.2

The Booking for Appointments and Events Calendar – Amelia plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to Stored Cross-Site Scripting via customer name fields in versions up to and including 2.2. This is due to an authentication bypass where the AddBookingCommand explicitly skips nonce verification (Command.php line 186), allowing unauthenticated users to submit booking data. While the plugin applies sanitize_text_field() to customer firstName and lastName fields (BookingApplicationService.php lines 302-308), this function only removes HTML tags and preserves special characters including double quotes. The vulnerability manifests in the administrative Calendar view where a FullCalendar eventContent callback interpolates customer names directly into JavaScript template literals (redesign/dist/index.js line 199) and renders them via innerHTML without proper HTML entity encoding. Because double quotes are preserved, an attacker can inject payloads like '" onmouseover="alert(document.cookie)"' to break out of the title attribute and inject malicious event handlers. This makes it possible for unauthenticated attackers to inject arbitrary web scripts that will execute when an administrator accesse

  • Aug 26, 2026Formidable Forms – WordPress Form Builder for Contact Forms, Calculators, Quizzes & More: Stored Cross-Site ScriptingCVE-2026-18331 · WordPress plugins & themes · reported by WordfenceHigh 7.2

The Formidable Forms – WordPress Form Builder for Contact Forms, Calculators, Quizzes & More plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to Stored Cross-Site Scripting via the 'frm_user_id' parameter in all versions up to, and including, 6.33.1 due to insufficient input sanitization and output escaping. This makes it possible for unauthenticated attackers to inject arbitrary web scripts in pages that will execute whenever a user accesses an injected page. By forging frm_user_id to match an administrator's user ID — discoverable via the public WordPress REST API — an unauthenticated attacker causes wp_kses_post() to serve as the only output filter, which preserves the injected payload structurally intact; the plugin's admin JavaScript then decodes and executes it automatically on page load.
