Sep 4, 2026In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: ALSA: hda/tas2781: Cancel async firmware request at unbind TAS2781 HDA I2C and SPI queue RCVE-2026-80872 · Computers, phones & browsers · Linux · reported by 416baaa9-dc9f-4396-8d5f-8c081fb06d67
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: ALSA: hda/tas2781: Cancel async firmware request at unbind TAS2781 HDA I2C and SPI queue RCA firmware loading from component bind with request_firmware_nowait(). The firmware loader keeps the callback module pinned and holds a device reference, but the callback still uses driver-private HDA state. Component unbind removes controls and DSP state immediately. Later device removal tears down the TAS2781 private data, including codec_lock. If the async firmware callback runs after unbind has started, it can operate on state that is being torn down. Cancel or synchronize the async firmware request before removing controls and DSP state. A queued callback is cancelled, and an already-running callback is allowed to finish before unbind continues.

DefaultBaseTypeLimitingValidator is the PolymorphicTypeValidator applied automatically whenever @JsonTypeInfo is used without an explicitly configured custom validator. It denies polymorphic resolution only for a fixed set of "unsafe base types", and its isSafeSubType method returns true unconditionally for every base type outside that set. java.lang.Comparable was absent from the list despite being implemented by a very large fraction of JDK and application classes, comparable in breadth to java.io.Serializable, which is on the list for that reason. An application declaring an @JsonTypeInfo-annotated property or class with Comparable as its base type, and no custom PolymorphicTypeValidator, will accept a type identifier for essentially any class implementing Comparable. This yields an attacker-controlled object instantiation primitive; a demonstrated case constructs a java.io.File for an arbitrary attacker-chosen path, which becomes path-traversal-adjacent if the application subsequently calls path-sensitive methods on the value. No class implementing Comparable has been identified that yields code execution through deserialization alone. Global Default Typing via activateDefaultT

Sep 1, 2026jackson-databind's deserializer for java.nio.file.Path resolves an attacker-supplied URI without restricting the URI scheme.CVE-2026-19032 · Other software · FasterXML · reported by 36c7be3b-2937-45df-85ea-ca7133ea542cMedium 5.3
jackson-databind's deserializer for java.nio.file.Path resolves an attacker-supplied URI without restricting the URI scheme. In JDKFromStringDeserializer.NioPathHelper.deserialize, a string bound from untrusted JSON is passed to new URI(value) and then to Path.of(uri). When that throws FileSystemNotFoundException, the code enumerates ServiceLoader<FileSystemProvider> and calls provider.getPath(uri) on the first provider whose scheme matches the attacker-chosen scheme. Untrusted JSON can therefore select and drive an arbitrary registered FileSystemProvider during readValue under a default JsonMapper, and forces provider class loading at the same time. With only the JDK built-in providers (file, jar/zipfs) present, the resolved path is inert and no mount or network I/O occurs; further impact requires a side-effecting third-party FileSystemProvider on the classpath. This affects com.fasterxml.jackson.core:jackson-databind from 2.8.0 before 2.18.10, from 2.19.0 before 2.21.6, and from 2.22.0 before 2.22.2, and tools.jackson.core:jackson-databind from 3.0.0 before 3.1.6 and from 3.2.0 before 3.2.2. Aug 30, 2026Reliance on Cookies without Validation and Integrity Checking vulnerability in ash-project ash_admin lets an attacker who controls a sibling subdomain rebind anCVE-2026-75757 · Other software · ash-project · reported by 6b3ad84c-e1a6-4bf7-a703-f496b71e49dbHigh 8.3
Reliance on Cookies without Validation and Integrity Checking vulnerability in ash-project ash_admin lets an attacker who controls a sibling subdomain rebind an admin's session to a different actor, tenant, or authorization mode. AshAdmin's client JavaScript read its state cookies (tenant, actor_resource, actor_primary_key, actor_action, actor_domain, actor_authorizing, actor_paused) by matching the cookie name with an unanchored regular expression (new RegExp(name + "=([^;]+)")) against the whole document.cookie. Any cookie whose name merely ends with the requested name therefore matches, and whichever is serialized first wins. Because cookies are shared across a registrable domain, a compromised sibling subdomain can set a shadowing cookie (for example xactor_authorizing) with Domain=.example.com that flows unvalidated into the admin's LiveSocket connect params. The fix matches cookie names by exact equality. This issue affects ash_admin: from 0.9.1 before 1.3.1.

Aug 30, 2026Origin Validation Error vulnerability in ash-project ash_ai allows a malicious web page to bypass the MCP server's DNS-rebinding protection and issue cross-siteCVE-2026-81315 · Other software · ash-project · reported by 6b3ad84c-e1a6-4bf7-a703-f496b71e49dbHigh 7.4
Origin Validation Error vulnerability in ash-project ash_ai allows a malicious web page to bypass the MCP server's DNS-rebinding protection and issue cross-site requests to a user's local MCP server with that user's actor. In AshAi.Mcp.Server, with the default allowed_origins: nil, origin_allowed?/3 accepts an origin when uri.host == conn.host and the forwarded scheme is https. Both values are attacker-controlled: conn.host comes from the Host header and the scheme is read from the raw x-forwarded-proto header with no trusted-proxy check. Under DNS rebinding the browser sends the attacker's origin and a matching host, and page JavaScript may set X-Forwarded-Proto: https, so the check passes with no TLS or proxy involved. The fix trusts only localhost origins by default; other origins require an explicit allowed_origins allowlist. This issue affects ash_ai: from 0.8.0 before 1.0.0.

Aug 27, 2026openssl_encrypt (pip: openssl-encrypt) versions <= 1.4.8 use suffix-tolerant fingerprint matching in enroll_trust_key when binding a plugin-signing trust anchorCVE-2026-81714 · Other software · jahlives · reported by VulnCheckCritical 9.3
openssl_encrypt (pip: openssl-encrypt) versions <= 1.4.8 use suffix-tolerant fingerprint matching in enroll_trust_key when binding a plugin-signing trust anchor. An operator who confirms a short (forgeable, ~32-bit) GPG key id could unknowingly enroll an attacker's colliding key as a trusted anchor, which then vouches for malicious plugins under the ENFORCE signature policy. In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: gpio: sloppy-logic-analyzer: fix use-after-free via debugfs trigger on unbind The "trigger" debugfs file has a hand-rolled ->write handler (trigger_write()) that dereferences the per-device gpio_la_poll_priv. The file is created with debugfs_create_file_unsafe(), and the handler never takes a debugfs reference. Nothing keeps the object alive while the handler runs. priv is allocated with devm_kzalloc(). devres frees it when the platform device is unbound. debugfs_create_file_unsafe() installs no full_proxy wrapper, so debugfs_remove_recursive() in gpio_la_poll_remove() does not wait for an in-flight trigger_write(). The blob_lock taken there does not help, because trigger_write() never takes it. A write that races an unbind therefore writes into freed memory: trigger_write() gpio_la_poll_remove() priv = m->private buf = memdup_user() [may sleep] mutex_lock(&priv->blob_lock) debugfs_remove_recursive() [no wait] mutex_unlock(&priv->blob_lock)

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: net/sched: cls_u32: skip hash tables in u32_bind_class() u32_walk() enumerates both struct tc_u_hnode and struct tc_u_knode through the walker callback. u32_bind_class() unconditionally casts the passed fh to tc_u_knode and accesses &n->res, so when fh is actually a tc_u_hnode, which has no tcf_result member, this results in a slab-out-of-bounds read of res->classid in tc_cls_bind_class(). Aug 18, 2026CefSharp provides .NET bindings for the Chromium Embedded Framework for Windows Forms and Windows Presentation Foundation applications.CVE-2026-48796 · Other software · cefsharp · reported by GitHubMedium 5.3
CefSharp provides .NET bindings for the Chromium Embedded Framework for Windows Forms and Windows Presentation Foundation applications. Prior to version 148.0.90, CefSharp/SchemeHandler/FolderSchemeHandlerFactory.cs used filePath.StartsWith(rootFolder, StringComparison.OrdinalIgnoreCase) to decide whether a decoded and canonicalized request path remained inside rootFolder. That raw prefix test did not enforce a directory boundary, so a request such as ..%2fwww2/secret.txt could escape a configured www directory into a sibling www2 directory whose path shared the same string prefix. Applications that register FolderSchemeHandlerFactory for a custom scheme or an HTTP or HTTPS scheme can therefore serve local files outside the intended root when an attacker can cause the embedded browser to request the crafted URL. The issue affects both Unix-style paths such as /tmp/app/www2 and Windows paths such as C:\app\www2, and the fix appends a directory separator to the normalized root before comparison while rejecting null bytes and alternate data stream syntax. This issue is fixed in version 148.0.90.

ArcadeDB before 26.8.1 fails to bind the authenticated principal (setCurrentUser) on its batch and time-series HTTP handlers. Because no principal is bound on the worker thread, the engine's fine-grained per-type ACL layer (LocalBucket.checkPermissionsOnFile) does not execute for these handlers. In deployments that use per-type or per-group ACLs, a user with database access but only limited per-type permissions can read from and write to types they are not authorized to access by submitting requests to the batch/time-series endpoints. Deployments that rely solely on database-level access control are not affected.

Aug 15, 2026In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: drm/vmwgfx: reject DX_BIND_QUERY without a DX context vmw_cmd_dx_bind_query() unconditionaCVE-2026-74445 · Computers, phones & browsers · Linux · reported by 416baaa9-dc9f-4396-8d5f-8c081fb06d67
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: drm/vmwgfx: reject DX_BIND_QUERY without a DX context vmw_cmd_dx_bind_query() unconditionally dereferences sw_context->dx_ctx_node->ctx. Userspace can trigger a NULL pointer dereference from any render-node fd by submitting an execbuf with dx_context_handle == SVGA3D_INVALID_ID and a SVGA_3D_CMD_DX_BIND_QUERY opcode in the command stream: dx_ctx_node is left NULL and the kernel oopses on the assignment. The same NULL is then re-read in vmw_resources_reserve() via vmw_context_get_dx_query_mob(). All sibling DX handlers fail-close on a missing dx_ctx_node using VMW_GET_CTX_NODE(). Use the same pattern here, returning -EINVAL up front before any relocation state is published.

Aug 15, 2026DBI versions before 1.652 for Perl allow a heap out-of-bounds write via an unvalidated numeric placeholder that sets the binder counter in preparse.CVE-2026-73194 · Other software · reported by 9b29abf9-4ab0-4765-b253-1875cd9b441eCritical 9.1
DBI versions before 1.652 for Perl allow a heap out-of-bounds write via an unvalidated numeric placeholder that sets the binder counter in preparse. preparse reserves seven output bytes per input byte, the width of the longest ':p99999' expansion. The ':N' branch parses the number with `atoi(src)` and assigns it to the binder counter with no range check, so a statement containing ':2147483648' leaves the counter negative (-2147483648 with glibc, where atoi wraps). Each following '?' then expands through `sprintf(start, ":p%d", idx++)` to ':p-2147483648', 14 bytes with the terminating NUL where the buffer budgets 7. The placeholder limit added in 1.650 tests the counter against 99,999, which a negative counter passes. Any caller that preparses an untrusted statement into ':pN' style placeholders gets a heap out-of-bounds write that grows with the number of '?' marks following the poisoned placeholder. The '?' and '%s' return styles compare the parsed number against the expected sequence and error out, and are unaffected.

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: fbdev: sm501fb: Fix buffer errors in OF binding code The code that gets the frame buffer mode from OF has 'use after free', 'buffer overrun' and memory leaks. info->edid_data isn't free if the probe functions fail or if pd->def_mode is set. If both the CRT and PANEL are enabled info->edid_data is used after being freed and is freed twice. The string returned by of_get_property(np, "mode", &len) is just written over either the static "640x480-16@60" or the module parameter string without any regard for the length (which is most likely longer). Use kstrump() for the OF mode and free everything before freeing 'info.

Aug 15, 2026In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: tipc: reject inverted service ranges from peer bindings tipc_update_nametbl() inserts a biCVE-2026-74281 · Computers, phones & browsers · Linux · reported by 416baaa9-dc9f-4396-8d5f-8c081fb06d67High 7.5
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: tipc: reject inverted service ranges from peer bindings tipc_update_nametbl() inserts a binding advertised by a peer node using the lower and upper service-range bounds taken directly from the wire, without checking that lower <= upper. The local bind path validates the ordering (tipc_uaddr_valid()), but the name-distribution path does not. A binding with lower > upper is inserted at the far end of the service-range rbtree (keyed on lower) where no lookup or withdrawal can ever match it (service_range_foreach_match() requires sr->lower <= end). The publication, its service_range node and the augmented rbtree entry are then leaked for the lifetime of the namespace, and there is no per-peer cap equivalent to TIPC_MAX_PUBL on locally created bindings. Reject inverted ranges in the network path as well. A peer node can otherwise leak unbounded binding-table memory by sending PUBLICATION items with lower > upper.

Aug 15, 2026In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: drm/xe/pt: prevent invalid cursor access for purged BOs During a page table walk for bindiCVE-2026-72358 · Computers, phones & browsers · Linux · reported by 416baaa9-dc9f-4396-8d5f-8c081fb06d67High 7.8
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: drm/xe/pt: prevent invalid cursor access for purged BOs During a page table walk for binding, xe_pt_stage_bind() explicitly skips initializing the xe_res_cursor for purged BOs, treating them similarly to NULL VMAs by only setting the cursor size. However, xe_pt_hugepte_possible() and xe_pt_scan_64K() did not check if the BO was purged before attempting to walk the cursor using xe_res_dma() and xe_res_next(). Because the cursor was left uninitialized for purged BOs, this falls through and triggers warnings like: WARNING: drivers/gpu/drm/xe/xe_res_cursor.h:274 at xe_res_next Fix this by explicitly checking if the BO is purged in both xe_pt_hugepte_possible() and xe_pt_scan_64K(), returning early just as we do for NULL VMAs, avoiding the invalid cursor accesses entirely. As a precaution, also zero-initialize the cursor in xe_pt_stage_bind() to ensure we don't pass garbage data into the page table walkers if we ever hit a similar edge case in the future. In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: selinux: avoid sk_socket dereference in selinux_sctp_bind_connect() selinux_sctp_bind_connect() dereferences sk->sk_socket to pass a struct socket * to selinux_socket_bind() and selinux_socket_connect_helper(). However, when the hook is invoked from the ASCONF softirq path (sctp_process_asconf), there is no file reference guaranteeing that sk->sk_socket is non-NULL. The setsockopt callers (bindx, connectx, set_primary, sendmsg connect) hold a file reference and are not affected. Both selinux_socket_bind() and selinux_socket_connect_helper() immediately resolve sock->sk, never using the struct socket * for anything else. Refactor the inner logic into helpers that take a struct sock * directly so that selinux_sctp_bind_connect() never needs to touch sk->sk_socket at all.

Aug 15, 2026In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: llc: fix SAP refcount leak in llc_ui_autobind() llc_ui_autobind() opens a SAP after choosiCVE-2026-72022 · Computers, phones & browsers · Linux · reported by 416baaa9-dc9f-4396-8d5f-8c081fb06d67
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: llc: fix SAP refcount leak in llc_ui_autobind() llc_ui_autobind() opens a SAP after choosing a dynamic LSAP. llc_sap_open() returns a reference owned by the caller, and llc_sap_add_socket() takes a second reference for the socket's membership in the SAP hash tables. llc_ui_bind() drops the caller's reference after adding the socket, but llc_ui_autobind() keeps it. When the socket is closed, llc_sap_remove_socket() releases only the socket reference, leaving the SAP on llc_sap_list with sk_count == 0. This is user-visible because repeated autobind and close cycles can consume all dynamic SAP values and make later autobinds fail with -EUSERS. Drop the caller's reference after a successful autobind, matching llc_ui_bind()'s ownership model.

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: cgroup/cpuset: rebind mm mempolicy to effective_mems, not mems_allowed Creating a child cpuset where cpuset.mems is never set leads to a div/0 when a VMA mempolicy with MPOL_F_RELATIVE_NODES rebinds in response to a CPU hotplug event. Reproduction steps: 1) Create a cgroup w/ cpuset controls (do not set cpuset.mems) 2) Move the task into the child cpuset 3) Create a VMA mempolicy for that task with MPOL_F_RELATIVE_NODES 4) unplug and hotplug a cpu echo 0 > /sys/devices/system/cpu/cpu1/online echo 1 > /sys/devices/system/cpu/cpu1/online 5) mempolicy rebind does a div/0 in mpol_relative_nodemask on the call to __nodes_fold() The cpuset code passes (cs->mems_allowed) which is not guaranteed to have nodes to the rebind routine. Use cs->effective_mems instead, which is guaranteed to have a non-empty nodemask once we reach that code path. [ david: add a comment, slightly rephrase description ]

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: binder: cache secctx size before release zeroes it binder_transaction() bounds the scatter-gather buffer area with sg_buf_end_offset and subtracts the aligned LSM context size because the secctx is written at the tail of that area. The subtraction reads lsmctx.len, but that field has already been cleared by the time the line runs: security_secid_to_secctx(secid, &lsmctx) /* lsmctx.len set */ lsmctx_aligned_size = ALIGN(lsmctx.len, sizeof(u64)) extra_buffers_size += lsmctx_aligned_size ... security_release_secctx(&lsmctx) /* memset zeroes len */ ... sg_buf_end_offset = sg_buf_offset + extra_buffers_size - ALIGN(lsmctx.len, sizeof(u64)) /* ALIGN(0,8) */ security_release_secctx() does memset(cp, 0, sizeof(*cp)), so lsmctx.len reads back as 0 and the subtraction contributes nothing, leaving sg_buf_end_offset too large by the aligned secctx size on every transaction to a txn_security_ctx node. Each BINDER_TYPE_PTR object then derives buf_left = sg_buf_end_offset - sg_buf_offset as the sole upper bound on its copy, so the inflated end offset lets the

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: usb: core: port: Deattach Type-C connector on component unbind connector_unbind() is the mirror of connector_bind(), but it is missing the symmetric call to typec_deattach() that connector_bind() makes via: if (port_dev->child) typec_attach(port_dev->connector, &port_dev->child->dev); When a Thunderbolt dock is unplugged, two teardown paths race: 1. The component framework calls connector_unbind() first, which sets port_dev->connector = NULL without calling typec_deattach(). This leaves port->usb2_dev/port->usb3_dev in struct typec_port pointing at the USB device that is about to be freed. 2. usb_disconnect() then calls typec_deattach(port_dev->connector, ...), but port_dev->connector is already NULL, so the call is a no-op and port->usb2_dev is never cleared. 3. Concurrently, UCSI detects a PD partner-disconnect event and calls typec_unregister_partner(), which reads port->usb2_dev (now a dangling pointer to freed memory) and passes it to typec_partner_unlink_device() -> sysfs_remove_link() -> dev_name() on the freed device, corrupting the typec/UCSI partner state.
