In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: SUNRPC: reject duplicate CREDS_VALUE options gssx_dec_option_array() walks the wire-supplied option array and, for every entry whose name matches CREDS_VALUE, calls gssx_dec_linux_creds() on the same struct svc_cred. That helper unconditionally installs a fresh groups_alloc() result into creds->cr_group_info without releasing whatever pointer was already there: for (i = 0; i < count; i++) { ... decode name ... if (length == sizeof(CREDS_VALUE) && memcmp(p, CREDS_VALUE, sizeof(CREDS_VALUE)) == 0) { err = gssx_dec_linux_creds(xdr, creds); ... } } A reply that carries two CREDS_VALUE entries therefore overwrites cr_group_info on the second iteration and orphans the group_info allocated by the first call. The earlier free_creds path only releases the last cr_group_info via free_svc_cred(), so the first allocation's refcount stays at one and its kvmalloc-backed storage is leaked. No in-tree caller of gssp_accept_sec_context_upcall() expects more than one CREDS_VALUE per reply. Fix by tracking whether a CREDS_VALUE option has already been decoded an

Sep 11, 2026In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: orangefs: skip leading spaces before parsing client debug masks orangefs_prepare_cdm_arrayCVE-2026-89497 · Computers, phones & browsers · Linux · reported by 416baaa9-dc9f-4396-8d5f-8c081fb06d67High 7.8
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: orangefs: skip leading spaces before parsing client debug masks orangefs_prepare_cdm_array() sizes each client debug keyword buffer with strcspn(cds_head, " "), but then parses the keyword with %s. The %s conversion skips leading whitespace, while strcspn() does not. If a client debug entry starts with a space, the allocation can be sized for an empty keyword while sscanf() copies the following non-empty token. This can write past the end of the allocated keyword buffer. Skip leading spaces before computing the keyword length so the allocation matches the string parsed by sscanf().

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: platform/chrome: sensorhub: Bound the EC-reported sensor number Each EC FIFO event carries an 8-bit sensor number (in->sensor_num). cros_ec_sensorhub_ring_handler() validates the FIFO event count, the per-read count and the ring bound, but not the sensor number, which cros_ec_sensor_ring_process_event() then uses unchecked to index sensorhub->batch_state[] - allocated with only sensorhub->sensor_num entries. A sensor number of sensor_num or larger is an out-of-bounds read and write of batch_state[]. Validate the sensor number in the ring handler, where each event is read from the EC, and drop a malformed event before it is used.

Sep 11, 2026In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: net/smc: carry oversized SMC-Rv2 LLC messages in the queue entry smc_llc_rmt_delete_rkey()CVE-2026-80985 · Computers, phones & browsers · Linux · reported by 416baaa9-dc9f-4396-8d5f-8c081fb06d67High 8.2
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: net/smc: carry oversized SMC-Rv2 LLC messages in the queue entry smc_llc_rmt_delete_rkey() and smc_llc_save_add_link_rkeys() read the part of a v2 message that does not fit into the 44-byte union smc_llc_msg, and both bound themselves by the size of the buffer it landed in, not by what arrived. On a link with a shared v2 receive buffer a 44-byte DELETE_RKEY_V2 declaring 255 rkeys reaches rkey[9..254] in whatever an earlier message left in lgr->wr_rx_buf_v2, and passes each of them to smc_rtoken_delete(). One of those 255 matched a registered rtoken and deleted it. An ADD_LINK on such a link installs up to 255 rtokens from the same bytes. Copy the tail into the queue entry, so its length is the length of the message that arrived, and declare the rkeys that fit inline as a member of the union instead of reaching them through a cast. The same DELETE_RKEY_V2 now processes the 9 rkeys it carries. The copy is limited to the longest tail the two functions can read, so the peer does not pick the size of the entry. The bound the previous patch placed on links without a shared v2 receive buffer is no longer needed.

Sep 10, 2026Improper neutralization of special elements in data query logic in the MongoDB integration for Laravel can cause an array supplied to an explicit equality filteCVE-2026-88022 · Other software · MongoDB · reported by cna@mongodb.comHigh 8.4
Improper neutralization of special elements in data query logic in the MongoDB integration for Laravel can cause an array supplied to an explicit equality filter to be interpreted as a query condition rather than as a literal value. This affects the three-argument `where` method when the operator is `=` or `eq`, as well as the `find` and `delete` methods that use that code path. An attacker who can cause an affected application to supply an operator-shaped array to one of these APIs may obtain a document other than the intended target or delete documents beyond the intended target.

fs_read_glyphs() in the libXfont2 font-server client (src/fc/fserve.c) indexes the per-character encoding[] array using num_chars from the FS_QueryXBitmaps16 reply, but that array was allocated with a size derived from num_extents in the separate FS_QueryXExtents16 reply. The two CARD32 fields are never cross-checked. A malicious or compromised font server can send a small num_extents (e.g. 1) in the extents reply, then a large num_chars (e.g. 100000) in the bitmaps reply. This causes attacker-controlled out-of-bounds heap read and writes.

When guests are terminated, various pieces of cleanup need carrying out. The cleaning up of PCI devices which were assigned to guests, and the associated removal of tracking structures for IRQs used by the devices occurs relatively early in the process. Unfortunately after that point the guest about to be terminated could cause its device model (DM) to re-establish such tracking structures, by having it bind one or more IRQs anew. While some of those tracking structures would still be cleaned up later on, at least one would not be.

Sep 4, 2026In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: mshv: Order pt_vp_array publish against irqfd assertion path mshv_partition_ioctl_create_vCVE-2026-80895 · Computers, phones & browsers · Linux · reported by 416baaa9-dc9f-4396-8d5f-8c081fb06d67
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: mshv: Order pt_vp_array publish against irqfd assertion path mshv_partition_ioctl_create_vp() initialises a VP struct (allocations, mutex_init, init_waitqueue_head, page mappings) and then publishes the pointer into partition->pt_vp_array. Several ISR paths read this array locklessly: the intercept ISR, the two scheduler ISRs, and mshv_try_assert_irq_fast() on the irqfd fast path. Of these, only mshv_try_assert_irq_fast() can structurally race the publish. It runs from an eventfd waker without holding pt_mutex, and MSHV_IRQFD does not require the target lapic_apic_id (== vp_index) to refer to an existing VP at registration time. A user can therefore register an irqfd targeting a yet-to-be-created VP, then trigger mshv_try_assert_irq_fast() concurrently with MSHV_CREATE_VP for the same index. On weakly-ordered architectures the reader can observe a non-NULL pointer in pt_vp_array before the initialising stores to the VP struct become visible, leading to use of partially-initialised fields (e.g. vp_register_page). The other ISR readers cannot reach this race: the hypervisor will not generate intercept or sche

Sep 4, 2026In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: fuse: fix missing barrier when checking io-uring readiness fuse_block_alloc() reads fch->iCVE-2026-80859 · Computers, phones & browsers · Linux · reported by 416baaa9-dc9f-4396-8d5f-8c081fb06d67
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: fuse: fix missing barrier when checking io-uring readiness fuse_block_alloc() reads fch->initialized and then fch->io_uring. fch->io_uring is set before fch->initialized, ordered by the smp_wmb() in fuse_chan_set_intialized(), but fuse_block_alloc() has no matching read barrier between the two loads. This may lead a CPU to observe fch->initialized=1 but fch->io_uring=0, and skip the check that blocks request allocation until the io-uring queues are ready. This can reintroduce the lock-order inversion deadlock that commit 3393ff964e0f prevents. Add an smp_rmb() barrier to pair with the smp_wmb() in fuse_chan_set_initialized() to prevent this.

Sep 4, 2026In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: xfrm: ah6: validate routing header segments_left AH6 rearranges routing-header addresses bCVE-2026-80844 · Computers, phones & browsers · Linux · reported by 416baaa9-dc9f-4396-8d5f-8c081fb06d67
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: xfrm: ah6: validate routing header segments_left AH6 rearranges routing-header addresses before computing or verifying the ICV. ipv6_rearrange_rthdr() assumes that segments_left is not larger than the number of addresses described by the routing header's hdrlen field. That assumption does not hold for raw IPv6 HDRINCL packets. A packet with hdrlen equal to 2 describes one address, but can carry an arbitrary segments_left value. With segments_left equal to 255, the function moves its address pointer 4,064 bytes backwards and passes a 4,064-byte length to memmove(), resulting in an out-of-bounds access. Validate the invariant locally before modifying the routing header or performing any address-pointer arithmetic, and propagate malformed-header errors to the existing AH6 input and output error paths.

Sep 4, 2026In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: io_uring/cmd: fix iovec leak when the async cmd is not recycled An io_async_cmd carries anCVE-2026-80811 · Computers, phones & browsers · Linux · reported by 416baaa9-dc9f-4396-8d5f-8c081fb06d67
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: io_uring/cmd: fix iovec leak when the async cmd is not recycled An io_async_cmd carries an iovec array in ->vec.iovec, allocated when the vec has to grow and kept across recycling through ctx->cmd_cache. On two paths nothing frees it and io_clean_op()'s kfree(req->async_data) drops the io_async_cmd without it. io_req_uring_cleanup() clears the async data flags only when io_alloc_cache_put() succeeds, and the cache holds IO_ALLOC_CACHE_MAX == 128 entries, so once it is full the put fails and the vec is left behind. An NVMe passthrough workload gets there without doing anything unusual: nvme_uring_cmd_io() returns -EIOCBQUEUED, so the io_async_cmd stays attached for the lifetime of the command and the live object count tracks the queue depth. Above 128 the puts start failing. ->cleanup is the last chance to free an inherited vec, since io_req_uring_cleanup() returns early for an io-wq issued command and is not called at all for one completed without ever being issued. But io_clean_op() calls ->cleanup only if REQ_F_NEED_CLEANUP is set, and for uring_cmd that happens only where the vec has to grow, so a command

Sep 3, 2026In Eclipse Arrowhead versions from 5.0.0 to 5.2.1 when the MQTT API is enabled with the certificate authentication policy, CertificateMqttFilter parses an X.509CVE-2026-82180 · Other software · Eclipse Foundation · reported by emo@eclipse.orgCritical 9.5
In Eclipse Arrowhead versions from 5.0.0 to 5.2.1 when the MQTT API is enabled with the certificate authentication policy, CertificateMqttFilter parses an X.509 certificate that the client sends inside the MQTT message payload (the authentication field of MqttRequestTemplate) and treats its Subject DN as the authenticated identity. The certificate is decoded with CertificateFactory.generateCertificate() but its signature is never verified and its issuer chain is never validated against any trust store. Authorisation is reduced to two string comparisons on attacker-supplied data: the DN-qualifier must equal "sy" or "op", and the cloud-name part of the CN must match the server's. Both values are public (the cloud name is in the server's own TLS certificate). An attacker who can publish to the MQTT broker can therefore mint a self-signed certificate with CN=Sysop.<cloud>.<org>.arrowhead.eu, dnQualifier=op, send it as the authentication field, and be authenticated as the cloud's system operator with isSysOp == true. This passes the downstream ManagementServiceMqttFilter (request.isSysOp() → allowed) and gives full management access over MQTT. The HTTP CertificateFilter is not affected

In Eclipse Arrowhead versions from 5.0.0 to 5.2.1 the management-authorization gate that protects every /…/mgmt/… REST endpoint decides whether to apply its check by calling request.getRequestURL().toString().contains("/mgmt/"). Tomcat returns getRequestURL() un-decoded, while Spring MVC's DispatcherServlet routes on the decoded path. Requesting /serviceregistry/%6Dgmt/systems (%6D == m) therefore fails the substring check — the filter falls through without authorising — yet is decoded to /serviceregistry/mgmt/systems and dispatched to the management controller. Spring Security's StrictHttpFirewall (active via spring-boot-starter-security in arrowhead-common) only rejects encoded / \ . % ; and null bytes, so percent-encoded ASCII letters pass through. Any authenticated system — regardless of privilege — can reach every management operation, including POST /authentication/mgmt/identities which creates new sysop accounts, yielding full administrative takeover of the local cloud.

Sep 1, 2026Improper Input Validation vulnerability in ash-project ash fails to enforce the outer array constraints on a doubly-nested {:array, {:array, type}} attribute, lCVE-2026-82740 · Other software · ash-project · reported by 6b3ad84c-e1a6-4bf7-a703-f496b71e49dbLow 2.1
Improper Input Validation vulnerability in ash-project ash fails to enforce the outer array constraints on a doubly-nested {:array, {:array, type}} attribute, letting invalid input pass validation. Ash.Type.apply_constraints/3 (lib/ash/type/type.ex) handled the {:array, {:array, type}} case by mapping only the inner {:array, type} constraints over each element, so constraints declared on the outer array (such as min_length, max_length, and nil_items?) were never applied. An attacker could submit an outer list that violates those constraints (too many elements, or nil entries where disallowed) and have it accepted and persisted. The fix enforces the outer array constraints and adds explicit handling for nil and non-list inputs. This issue affects ash: from 2.16.1 before 3.32.2.

Aug 30, 2026Incorrect Comparison vulnerability in ash-project ash_sql allows a user to pad a string field with tab, newline, carriage-return, or form-feed characters and paCVE-2026-80227 · Other software · ash-project · reported by 6b3ad84c-e1a6-4bf7-a703-f496b71e49dbLow 2.1
Incorrect Comparison vulnerability in ash-project ash_sql allows a user to pad a string field with tab, newline, carriage-return, or form-feed characters and pass a trimmed uniqueness or equality check in the database that the same expression would fail in memory (or the reverse). string_trim/1 compiles to REGEXP_REPLACE patterns built from an Elixir string in which \s is the escape for a single space (codepoint 32), not a regex whitespace class. The generated SQL therefore removes only literal spaces and leaves tabs, newlines, carriage returns, and form feeds in place, whereas String.trim/1 in Elixir removes them all. Any Ash filter, validation, or identity that relies on string_trim/1 then behaves differently depending on whether Ash pushes the expression down to SQL or evaluates it in memory, so padded input can register a near-duplicate value or slip past a trimmed comparison. This issue affects ash_sql: from 0.1.0 before 0.7.1.

Aug 29, 2026Inefficient Algorithmic Complexity vulnerability in ash-project ash_paper_trail allows a user who can submit a large array attribute to a paper-trailed create oCVE-2026-77831 · Other software · ash-project · reported by 6b3ad84c-e1a6-4bf7-a703-f496b71e49dbLow 2.1
Inefficient Algorithmic Complexity vulnerability in ash-project ash_paper_trail allows a user who can submit a large array attribute to a paper-trailed create or update action to cause a denial of service through excessive CPU and memory use. With full-diff change tracking, AshPaperTrail.ChangeBuilders.FullDiff.ListChange pairs each prior array element against the new list by rebuilding the remaining-elements accumulator with acc ++ [tuple] on every step, copying the growing list each time, so the pairing scales cubically in the array length. Nothing bounds the length and the value comes straight from action input, so one request carrying a large accepted {:array, _} attribute forces tens of seconds of CPU and multi-gigabyte allocations. This issue affects ash_paper_trail: from 0.1.1 before 0.7.0.

Aug 28, 2026wolfEngine before 1.4.1 sources the explicit AES-CCM nonce for TLS 1.2 and DTLS 1.2 records from the record input buffer instead of the TLS sequence number carrCVE-2026-81341 · Other software · wolfSSL Inc. · reported by facts@wolfssl.comMedium 6.5
wolfEngine before 1.4.1 sources the explicit AES-CCM nonce for TLS 1.2 and DTLS 1.2 records from the record input buffer instead of the TLS sequence number carried in the additional authenticated data. Because the record layer leaves the explicit-nonce field for the cipher to populate, the value read is constant across records, so every AES-CCM record within a connection is encrypted under an identical key and nonce pair. Reusing a CCM key and nonce weakens confidentiality (identical keystream across records, so a known record recovers the others) and integrity (authentication tag forgery). Only wolfEngine is affected; wolfProvider is not. AES-GCM under wolfEngine is tracked separately. AES-CCM cipher suites are not enabled by default and must be explicitly selected, which limits exposure. TLS 1.3 and non-TLS use of the cipher are not affected.

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: idpf: bound interrupt-vector register fill to the allocated array idpf_get_reg_intr_vecs() fills the caller-allocated reg_vals[] array from the VIRTCHNL2_OP_ALLOC_VECTORS reply in adapter->req_vec_chunks, bounding its inner loop only by the per-chunk num_vectors. The array is sized separately: idpf_intr_reg_init() allocates kzalloc_objs(struct idpf_vec_regs, total_vecs) from caps.num_allocated_vectors and only checks the returned count after the fill. The sum of per-chunk num_vectors is never reconciled against total_vecs, so a reply with a small num_allocated_vectors but chunks summing higher writes past the end of reg_vals[]. Impact: a control plane (a PF or hypervisor device model) that returns a VIRTCHNL2_OP_ALLOC_VECTORS reply whose per-chunk num_vectors sum exceeds num_allocated_vectors writes struct idpf_vec_regs entries past the end of the reg_vals kmalloc allocation (KASAN slab-out-of-bounds write). Bound the fill loop to the array capacity passed in by the callers, mirroring the sibling idpf_vport_get_q_reg(). The existing num_regs < num_vecs check then rejects an undersized reply without the out-of-b

Dolibarr 9.0.0 through 23.0.4 saves inbound email attachments under the name supplied in the message's MIME headers without reducing it to a safe basename. The global saveAttachment() in htdocs/emailcollector/lib/emailcollector.lib.php builds $filepath = $path . $filename . '.' . $ext and hands it to file_put_contents(), and the private saveAttachment() in htdocs/emailcollector/class/emailcollector.class.php writes to $destdir.'/'.$filename; the name reaches both from the attachment's own getName() or getFilename() value by way of the record-join, create-ticket and create-project operations. A traversal sequence in the filename therefore survives intact, so any sender who can email a mailbox that an EmailCollector monitors, which is the module's ordinary use for a support or ticket inbox, can place attacker-controlled content outside the per-object attachment directory without holding a Dolibarr account. Under the hardened layout Dolibarr's SECURITY.md requires, with htdocs read-only, the write is confined to the documents tree and corrupts or forges other objects' documents; where htdocs is writable the same primitive reaches a web-executable path. Aug 27, 2026Dolibarr before 23.0.4 authorizes REST API document deletion against the wrong permission.CVE-2026-81729 · Other software · Dolibarr · reported by VulnCheckHigh 7.1
Dolibarr before 23.0.4 authorizes REST API document deletion against the wrong permission. Documents::delete() in htdocs/api/class/api_documents.class.php calls dol_check_secure_access_document() with the mode argument 'read' when handling DELETE /api/index.php/documents, while the sibling builddoc() path passes 'write', the correct mode for an operation that modifies stored data. An authenticated API user who holds only a read permission for a document-bearing module, for example societe:lire or facture:lire, and no create, write, delete or admin permission, therefore passes the check and can permanently delete that module's documents: third-party files, invoices, orders, proposals, project files and generated PDFs, with no recovery path. Dolibarr before 24.0.0 contains a SQL injection in its CSV and XLSX import wizard. The wizard reads its update keys with GETPOST('updatekeys', 'array') in htdocs/imports/import.php, which applies only the generic alphanohtml filter: that strips HTML but leaves SQL keywords, comment markers, parentheses, spaces and quotes intact. import_insert() in htdocs/core/modules/import/import_csv.modules.php then iterates the submitted values and builds a filter with $where[] = $key.' = '.$data[$key], having first applied preg_replace('/^.*\./i', '', $key), an alias strip that does nothing to a value containing no dot. The assembled string is executed through $this->db->query(). The injected SELECT resolves the row id that the import then assigns to $lastinsertid, which becomes the WHERE target of a subsequent UPDATE, so a UNION SELECT returning an attacker-chosen integer both exfiltrates arbitrary table content and redirects which row the import overwrites; for category link tables the raw filter array is spliced into that UPDATE directly. The interface offers a fixed list of legitimate column codes but the server never checks the submitted values against it. A user holding the import permiss

Aug 27, 2026darknet subscripts its layer array with an index taken from a configuration file without checking it against the array's length.CVE-2026-81334 · Other software · hank-ai · reported by VulnCheckMedium 6.9
darknet subscripts its layer array with an index taken from a configuration file without checking it against the array's length. The array is allocated in src-lib/darknet_network.cpp as xcalloc(net.n, sizeof(Darknet::Layer)), sized to exactly the number of layer sections the file declares. The shortcut, scale_channels and sam sections supply that index through their from field and the route section through its layers field, and parse_shortcut_section in src-lib/darknet_cfg.cpp reads net.layers[index].outputs with no bounds check, which reads past the allocation. The dispatch loop in create_network then reuses the same index to assign net.layers[l.index].use_bin_output and net.layers[l.index].keep_delta_gpu, writing past the allocation at an offset the file controls, with a fixed one-byte value. Parsing a crafted configuration file is sufficient: the parse runs before any weights file is opened and needs no non-default option, so the result is a reliable crash and a write whose location, though not its value, is chosen by whoever supplied the file.

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: s390/vfio_ccw: Fix out of bounds check on CCW array The routine ccwchain_calc_length() counts the number of channel command words (CCWs) that are chained together in a single channel program, and rejects anything larger than CCWCHAIN_LEN_MAX (256) CCWs. The loop itself is "do..while (count < 257)", and while the logic in is_cpa_within_range() correctly adjusts between the 0-index array of CCWs and the count of CCWs starting at 1, this means it would look at a possible 257th CCW before ending the loop and (correctly) returning an error. Fix this by restructuring the loop to break as soon as 256 CCWs (thus indexes 0-255) are examined, without looking at memory outside the range.

Aug 26, 2026StarRocks performs no privilege check when a legacy synchronous materialized view is dropped.CVE-2026-80346 · Other software · StarRocks · reported by VulnCheckHigh 7.1
StarRocks performs no privilege check when a legacy synchronous materialized view is dropped. Every other statement type routed through AuthorizerStmtVisitor calls into Authorizer before execution, but visitDropMaterializedViewStatement returns immediately with a comment stating the check happens in execution logic. That holds only for asynchronous materialized views: LocalMetastore.dropMaterializedView calls Authorizer.checkMaterializedViewAction inside a branch taken when the resolved table is a MaterializedView. A legacy synchronous materialized view is stored as a rollup index on an OlapTable rather than a MaterializedView, so the other branch runs, reaching AlterJobMgr.processDropMaterializedView and MaterializedViewHandler, neither of which contains any Authorizer call. The former locates the target by scanning every OlapTable in the named database for a matching rollup index, and the latter validates only table state and name conflicts. Any authenticated account can therefore drop a legacy synchronous materialized view belonging to any database, holding no grant on the view, the base table or the database, and the drop is indistinguishable from an authorized one.

Aug 26, 2026GROWI applies its page-viewer permission check to attachment requests only when the request carries an authenticated user.CVE-2026-80191 · Other software · GROWI, Inc. · reported by VulnCheckHigh 8.7
GROWI applies its page-viewer permission check to attachment requests only when the request carries an authenticated user. retrieveAttachmentFromIdParam in apps/app/src/server/routes/attachment/get.ts guards the check with a condition requiring the user to be non-null, so a request that carries no session skips the check entirely and the handler returns the file. The routes reached this way, /attachment/:id and /download/:id, take the attachment identifier from the path, so an unauthenticated caller who has an attachment identifier receives the file regardless of whether the page owning it is private and regardless of whether that caller would be permitted to view the page. Identifiers can be retained by a user whose access was later removed, or recovered from anywhere the identifier was previously exposed. Version 8.0.2 runs the check for authenticated and unauthenticated requests alike, skipping it only where a valid share link has already bound the requested file to that link's page.

Aug 26, 2026In FreeBSD 15.0, the kernel structure used to represent user credentials changed: previously the primary group ID was stored in the first element of the array cCVE-2026-58092 · Other software · FreeBSD · reported by secteam@freebsd.orgHigh 8.1
In FreeBSD 15.0, the kernel structure used to represent user credentials changed: previously the primary group ID was stored in the first element of the array containing the list of supplementary group IDs, whereas now the primary group ID is stored in a dedicated field. This change was largely internal to the kernel and not user-visible. One function, group_is_primary(), was not properly updated as a part of this transition. This function is used by mac_do to determine the primary group ID of the credential after applying a transition rule, used when the rule target does not explicitly specify a group. As a result, with certain mac_do rules, it is possible for a credential switch to incorrectly set the primary group ID to the ID stored in the first element of the original credential's supplementary group array. If the list of supplementary groups is empty, this value will be 0, corresponding to the "wheel" group. For example, a rule such as "uid=1001>uid=1002" can be abused to set the primary group ID to 0 even if the process did not originally belong to group 0. Certain mac_do rules can be abused to set a process' group ID to 0. Note however, that the rule must apply to
