Apr 24, 2026In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: clockevents: Add missing resets of the next_event_forced flag The prevention mechanism agaCVE-2026-31574 · Computers, phones & browsers · Linux · reported by 416baaa9-dc9f-4396-8d5f-8c081fb06d67Medium 5.5
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: clockevents: Add missing resets of the next_event_forced flag The prevention mechanism against timer interrupt starvation missed to reset the next_event_forced flag in a couple of places: - When the clock event state changes. That can cause the flag to be stale over a shutdown/startup sequence - When a non-forced event is armed, which then prevents rearming before that event. If that event is far out in the future this will cause missed timer interrupts. - In the suspend wakeup handler. That led to stalls which have been reported by several people. Add the missing resets, which fixes the problems for the reporters.

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: RDMA/irdma: Fix deadlock during netdev reset with active connections Resolve deadlock that occurs when user executes netdev reset while RDMA applications (e.g., rping) are active. The netdev reset causes ice driver to remove irdma auxiliary driver, triggering device_delete and subsequent client removal. During client removal, uverbs_client waits for QP reference count to reach zero while cma_client holds the final reference, creating circular dependency and indefinite wait in iWARP mode. Skip QP reference count wait during device reset to prevent deadlock.

P4 Server versions prior to 2026.1 are configured with insecure default settings that, when exposed to untrusted networks, allow unauthenticated attackers to create arbitrary user accounts, enumerate existing users, authenticate to accounts with no password set, and access depot contents via the built-in 'remote' user. These default settings, taken together, can lead to unauthorized access to source code repositories and other managed assets. The 2026.1 release, expected in May 2026, enforces secure-by-default configurations on upgrade and new installations

The mknod utility in uutils coreutils fails to handle security labels atomically by creating device nodes before setting the SELinux context. If labeling fails, the utility attempts cleanup using std::fs::remove_dir, which cannot remove device nodes or FIFOs. This leaves mislabeled nodes behind with incorrect default contexts, potentially allowing unauthorized access to device nodes that should have been restricted by mandatory access controls.

The cp utility in uutils coreutils fails to properly handle setuid and setgid bits when ownership preservation fails. When copying with the -p (preserve) flag, the utility applies the source mode bits even if the chown operation is unsuccessful. This can result in a user-owned copy retaining original privileged bits, creating unexpected privileged executables that violate local security policies. This differs from GNU cp, which clears these bits when ownership cannot be preserved.

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: btrfs: set BTRFS_ROOT_ORPHAN_CLEANUP during subvol create We have recently observed a number of subvolumes with broken dentries. ls-ing the parent dir looks like: drwxrwxrwt 1 root root 16 Jan 23 16:49 . drwxr-xr-x 1 root root 24 Jan 23 16:48 .. d????????? ? ? ? ? ? broken_subvol and similarly stat-ing the file fails. In this state, deleting the subvol fails with ENOENT, but attempting to create a new file or subvol over it errors out with EEXIST and even aborts the fs. Which leaves us a bit stuck. dmesg contains a single notable error message reading: "could not do orphan cleanup -2" 2 is ENOENT and the error comes from the failure handling path of btrfs_orphan_cleanup(), with the stack leading back up to btrfs_lookup(). btrfs_lookup btrfs_lookup_dentry btrfs_orphan_cleanup // prints that message and returns -ENOENT After some detailed inspection of the internal state, it became clear that: - there are no orphan items for the subvol - the subvol is otherwise healthy looking, it is not half-deleted or anything, there is no drop progress, etc. - the subvol was created a while ago and doe

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: Bluetooth: btusb: clamp SCO altsetting table indices btusb_work() maps the number of active SCO links to USB alternate settings through a three-entry lookup table when CVSD traffic uses transparent voice settings. The lookup currently indexes alts[] with data->sco_num - 1 without first constraining sco_num to the number of available table entries. While the table only defines alternate settings for up to three SCO links, data->sco_num comes from hci_conn_num() and is used directly. Cap the lookup to the last table entry before indexing it so the driver keeps selecting the highest supported alternate setting without reading past alts[].

Apr 22, 2026In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: xfrm: iptfs: only publish mode_data after clone setup iptfs_clone_state() stores x->mode_dCVE-2026-31471 · Computers, phones & browsers · Linux · reported by 416baaa9-dc9f-4396-8d5f-8c081fb06d67High 7.8
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: xfrm: iptfs: only publish mode_data after clone setup iptfs_clone_state() stores x->mode_data before allocating the reorder window. If that allocation fails, the code frees the cloned state and returns -ENOMEM, leaving x->mode_data pointing at freed memory. The xfrm clone unwind later runs destroy_state() through x->mode_data, so the failed clone path tears down IPTFS state that clone_state() already freed. Keep the cloned IPTFS state private until all allocations succeed so failed clones leave x->mode_data unset. The destroy path already handles a NULL mode_data pointer.

Apr 20, 2026Calling the ungetwc function on a FILE stream with wide characters encoded in a character set that has overlaps between its single byte and multi-byte characterCVE-2026-5928 · Other software · The GNU C Library · reported by 3ff69d7a-14f2-4f67-a097-88dee7810d18High 7.5
Calling the ungetwc function on a FILE stream with wide characters encoded in a character set that has overlaps between its single byte and multi-byte character encodings, in the GNU C Library version 2.43 or earlier, may result in an attempt to read bytes before an allocated buffer, potentially resulting in unintentional disclosure of neighboring data in the heap, or a program crash. A bug in the wide character pushback implementation (_IO_wdefault_pbackfail in libio/wgenops.c) causes ungetwc() to operate on the regular character buffer (fp->_IO_read_ptr) instead of the actual wide-stream read pointer (fp->_wide_data->_IO_read_ptr). The program crash may happen in cases where fp->_IO_read_ptr is not initialized and hence points to NULL. The buffer under-read requires a special situation where the input character encoding is such that there are overlaps between single byte representations and multibyte representations in that encoding, resulting in spurious matches. The spurious match case is not possible in the standard Unicode character sets.

Apr 16, 2026The Silverstripe Assets Module is a required component of Silverstripe Framework.CVE-2026-24749 · Other software · silverstripe · reported by GitHubMedium 5.3
The Silverstripe Assets Module is a required component of Silverstripe Framework. In versions prior to 2.4.5 and 3.0.0-rc1 through 3.1.2, images rendered in templates or otherwise accessed via DBFile::getURL() or DBFile::getSourceURL() incorrectly add an access grant to the current session, which bypasses file permissions. This usually happens when creating an image variant, for example using a manipulation method like ScaleWidth() or Convert(). Note that if developers use DBFile directly in the $db configuration for a DataObject class that doesn't subclass File, and if they were setting the visibility of those files to "protected", those files will now need an explicit access grant to be accessed. If developers do not want to explicitly provide access grants for these files in their apps (i.e. they want these files to be accessible by default), they should use the "public" visibility. This issue has been fixed in versions 2.4.5 and 3.1.3.

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: ACPI: EC: clean up handlers on probe failure in acpi_ec_setup() When ec_install_handlers() returns -EPROBE_DEFER on reduced-hardware platforms, it has already started the EC and installed the address space handler with the struct acpi_ec pointer as handler context. However, acpi_ec_setup() propagates the error without any cleanup. The caller acpi_ec_add() then frees the struct acpi_ec for non-boot instances, leaving a dangling handler context in ACPICA. In TLSX_EchChangeSNI, the ctx->extensions branch set extensions unconditionally even when TLSX_Find returned NULL. This caused TLSX_UseSNI to attach the attacker-controlled publicName to the shared WOLFSSL_CTX when no inner SNI was configured. TLSX_EchRestoreSNI then failed to clean it up because its removal was gated on serverNameX != NULL.
