Dec 15, 2025An overly-permissive IAM trust policy in the Harmonix on AWS framework may allow IAM principals in the same AWS account to escalate privileges via role assumptiCVE-2025-14503 · Other software · AWS · reported by ff89ba41-3aa1-4d27-914a-91399e9639e5High 8.6
An overly-permissive IAM trust policy in the Harmonix on AWS framework may allow IAM principals in the same AWS account to escalate privileges via role assumption. The sample code for the EKS environment provisioning role is configured to trust the account root principal, which may enable any IAM principal in the same AWS account with sts:AssumeRole permissions to assume the role with administrative privileges. We recommend customers upgrade to Harmonix on AWS v0.4.2 or later if you have deployed the framework using versions v0.3.0 through v0.4.1.

Dec 9, 2025In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: of: overlay: Call of_changeset_init() early When of_overlay_fdt_apply() fails, the changesCVE-2023-53856 · Computers, phones & browsers · Linux · reported by 416baaa9-dc9f-4396-8d5f-8c081fb06d67
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: of: overlay: Call of_changeset_init() early When of_overlay_fdt_apply() fails, the changeset may be partially applied, and the caller is still expected to call of_overlay_remove() to clean up this partial state. However, of_overlay_apply() calls of_resolve_phandles() before init_overlay_changeset(). Hence if the overlay fails to apply due to an unresolved symbol, the overlay_changeset.cset.entries list is still uninitialized, and cleanup will crash with a NULL-pointer dereference in overlay_removal_is_ok(). Fix this by moving the call to of_changeset_init() from init_overlay_changeset() to of_overlay_fdt_apply(), where all other early initialization is done.

Oct 7, 2025The NASA’s Interplanetary Overlay Network (ION) is an implementation of Delay/Disruption Tolerant Networking (DTN).CVE-2025-61910 · Other software · nasa-jpl · reported by GitHubHigh 7.5
The NASA’s Interplanetary Overlay Network (ION) is an implementation of Delay/Disruption Tolerant Networking (DTN). A BPv7 bundle with a malformed extension block causes uncontrolled memory allocation inside ION-DTN 4.1.3s, leading to receiver thread termination and a Denial-of-Service (DoS). The triggering bundle contains an extension block starting at `0x85070201005bbb0e20b4ea001a000927c0...`. The first byte in the extension block (0x85) indicates a CBOR array of five elements of which the first four are numbers (0x07, 0x02, 0x01, 0x00) but the fifth element is a byte string of length 27 (`0x5bbb0e20b4ea001a000927c0...`). The vulnerability seems to be due to processing the fifth element of the array (i.e., the byte string) as replacing it with a number makes the vulnerability no longer be triggered. While parsing this extension block, ION obtains a very large block length, which in the code in `bei.c`:764) seems to be passed from `blockLength` which is an unsigned int, to a 32 bit signed integer `blkSize`. The unsigned to signed conversion causes `blkSize` to hold the value of -369092043, which is then converted into a 64-bit unsigned value inside `MTAKE(blkSize)`, resulting in a

Sep 30, 2025serverless-dns is a RethinkDNS resolver that deploys to Cloudflare Workers, Deno Deploy, Fastly, and Fly.io.CVE-2025-61584 · Other software · serverless-dns · reported by GitHubCritical 9.3
serverless-dns is a RethinkDNS resolver that deploys to Cloudflare Workers, Deno Deploy, Fastly, and Fly.io. Versions through abd including 0.1.30 have a vulnerability where the pr.yml GitHub Action interpolates in an unsafe manner untrusted input, specifically the github.event.pull_request.head.repo.clone_url and github.head_ref, to a command in the runner. Due to the action using the pull_request_target trigger it has permissive permissions by default. An unauthorized attacker can exploit this vulnerability to push arbitrary data to the repository. The subsequent impact on the end-user is executing the attackers' code when running serverless-dns. This is fixed in commit c5537dd, and expected to be released in 0.1.31.

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: netfilter: nft_set_rbtree: fix overlap expiration walk The lazy gc on insert that should remove timed-out entries fails to release the other half of the interval, if any. Can be reproduced with tests/shell/testcases/sets/0044interval_overlap_0 in nftables.git and kmemleak enabled kernel. Second bug is the use of rbe_prev vs. prev pointer. If rbe_prev() returns NULL after at least one iteration, rbe_prev points to element that is not an end interval, hence it should not be removed. Lastly, check the genmask of the end interval if this is active in the current generation.

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: ovl: don't allow datadir only In theory overlayfs could support upper layer directly referring to a data layer, but there's no current use case for this. Originally, when data-only layers were introduced, this wasn't allowed, only introduced by the "datadir+" feature, but without actually handling this case, resulting in an Oops. Fix by disallowing datadir without lowerdir.

Apr 18, 2025In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: net_sched: skbprio: Remove overly strict queue assertions In the current implementation, sCVE-2025-38637 · Computers, phones & browsers · Linux · reported by 416baaa9-dc9f-4396-8d5f-8c081fb06d67Medium 5.5
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: net_sched: skbprio: Remove overly strict queue assertions In the current implementation, skbprio enqueue/dequeue contains an assertion that fails under certain conditions when SKBPRIO is used as a child qdisc under TBF with specific parameters. The failure occurs because TBF sometimes peeks at packets in the child qdisc without actually dequeuing them when tokens are unavailable. This peek operation creates a discrepancy between the parent and child qdisc queue length counters. When TBF later receives a high-priority packet, SKBPRIO's queue length may show a different value than what's reflected in its internal priority queue tracking, triggering the assertion. The fix removes this overly strict assertions in SKBPRIO, they are not necessary at all.

After completing a build with AWS Serverless Application Model Command Line Interface (SAM CLI) which include symlinks, the content of those symlinks are copied to the cache of the local workspace as regular files or directories. As a result, a user who does not have access to those symlinks outside of the Docker container would now have access via the local workspace. Users should upgrade to version 1.134.0 and ensure any forked or derivative code is patched to incorporate the new fixes. After upgrading, users must re-build their applications using the sam build --use-container to update the symlinks.
