Aug 10, 2026GNU Emacs for Android is vulnerable to an integer overflow in the sfnt_read_cmap_format_12() function in src/sfnt.c.CVE-2026-71392 · Other software · GNU · reported by cvd@cert.plMedium 5.3
GNU Emacs for Android is vulnerable to an integer overflow in the sfnt_read_cmap_format_12() function in src/sfnt.c. When processing a crafted TrueType font file, an unguarded addition in the xmalloc allocation call wraps around on 32-bit builds, causing a heap buffer overflow write. An attacker can deliver a malicious font file via email, EWW (Emacs Web Wowser), or documents with custom faces, causing Emacs to load it. This results in heap memory corruption that can lead to code execution. This issue was fixed in commit c4e20777c26548722a37b03db93243e83a0d6188

Aug 10, 2026GNU Emacs for Android contains an off-by-one error in the gvar table parser in src/sfnt.c.CVE-2026-71391 · Other software · GNU · reported by cvd@cert.plMedium 5.3
GNU Emacs for Android contains an off-by-one error in the gvar table parser in src/sfnt.c. The shared-coordinate index boundary check in sfnt_vary_simple_glyph() and sfnt_vary_compound_glyph() uses a strict greater-than comparison instead of greater-than-or-equal, allowing a crafted TrueType variable font to bypass the check and trigger a heap-based out-of-bounds read via memcpy. An attacker can deliver a malicious font file via email, EWW (Emacs Web Wowser), or documents with custom faces, causing Emacs to load it. This exposes heap memory contents which can be later used to defeat ASLR. This issue was fixed in commit 95ab9ef627b212d74d321c5bbb5b56a1be7b9fbe

Aug 10, 2026GNU cpio is vulnerable to an uncontrolled memory allocation in the make_path function at src/makepath.c.CVE-2026-66485 · Other software · GNU · reported by cvd@cert.plMedium 4.6
GNU cpio is vulnerable to an uncontrolled memory allocation in the make_path function at src/makepath.c. The function uses alloca to allocate stack memory based on the length of argpath, which is derived from an archive-controlled pathname during extraction. A malicious cpio archive containing a sufficiently long nested pathname causes an unbounded stack allocation, resulting in a stack overflow and crash of the cpio process. An attacker who can supply a crafted cpio archive to a victim who extracts it can cause a denial of service. This issue has been fixed in commit 3cd514031371d8aeeaf2048aa10103e02831aaa9

Aug 6, 2026TimescaleDB through 2.29.1, fixed in commit 517c13e, contains an out-of-bounds read in the Dictionary compression reverse row iterator (tsl/src/compression/algoCVE-2026-70634 · Other software · timescale · reported by VulnCheckHigh 7.2
TimescaleDB through 2.29.1, fixed in commit 517c13e, contains an out-of-bounds read in the Dictionary compression reverse row iterator (tsl/src/compression/algorithms/dictionary.c). The forward path validates the decoded index; the reverse path uses an assertion compiled out of release builds, leaving the 64-bit Simple8b index unvalidated and the read offset attacker-controlled. Attackers with DML access to a physical compressed relation can store a crafted datum and run a reverse-order scan. With a pass-by-value column type the out-of-bounds Datum is returned to the client as a normal column value, disclosing backend memory including the shared buffer pool, which SQL access control does not cover.

Jul 27, 2026The userspace verifier z_vrfy_log_filter_set() for the log_filter_set syscall in subsys/logging/log_mgmt.c performed a signed comparison against the int16_t srcCVE-2026-10682 · Other software · zephyrproject · reported by vulnerabilities@zephyrproject.orgMedium 6.6
The userspace verifier z_vrfy_log_filter_set() for the log_filter_set syscall in subsys/logging/log_mgmt.c performed a signed comparison against the int16_t src_id parameter: src_id < (int16_t)log_src_cnt_get(domain_id). Any negative value for src_id (e.g. -1) trivially satisfied this check and was forwarded into z_impl_log_filter_set, where it propagated to filter_set() and ultimately to get_dynamic_filter(), which uses source_id as an unsigned index into the linker-section array &TYPE_SECTION_START(log_dynamic)[source_id].filters. After implicit conversion through uint32_t, an int16_t -1 becomes 0xFFFFFFFF, indexing log_dynamic far out of bounds and causing the kernel to perform an OOB read and an OOB read-modify-write (LOG_FILTER_SLOT_GET/SET) against memory adjacent to the log_dynamic section. The written value is a constrained 3-bit log level slot within the targeted 32-bit word, but the target address is attacker-chosen (a small negative offset from log_dynamic) and the write occurs in supervisor mode following a syscall from an unprivileged user thread, providing a kernel memory-corruption / privilege-escalation primitive. The defect is reachable on any build with CONFIG_

Jul 24, 2026In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: octeontx2-pf: fix double free in rvu_rep_rsrc_init() rvu_rep_rsrc_init() allocates queue mCVE-2026-64224 · Computers, phones & browsers · Linux · reported by 416baaa9-dc9f-4396-8d5f-8c081fb06d67High 7.8
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: octeontx2-pf: fix double free in rvu_rep_rsrc_init() rvu_rep_rsrc_init() allocates queue memory before calling otx2_init_hw_resources(). When hardware resource setup fails, otx2_init_hw_resources() already unwinds the partially initialized SQ, CQ, and aura state before returning an error. The representor error path then calls otx2_free_hw_resources() again and can free the same resources a second time. Fix this by splitting the cleanup labels so that a failure from otx2_init_hw_resources() only releases queue memory. Keep the otx2_free_hw_resources() call for failures that happen after hardware resource initialization completed successfully. The bug was first flagged by an experimental analysis tool we are developing for kernel memory-management bugs while analyzing v6.13-rc1. The tool is still under development and is not yet publicly available. Manual inspection confirms that the bug is still present in v7.1-rc3. Runtime validation was not performed because reproducing this path requires OcteonTX2 representor hardware.

Jul 24, 2026In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: srcu: Don't queue workqueue handlers to never-online CPUs While an srcu_struct structure iCVE-2026-64211 · Computers, phones & browsers · Linux · reported by 416baaa9-dc9f-4396-8d5f-8c081fb06d67Medium 5.5
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: srcu: Don't queue workqueue handlers to never-online CPUs While an srcu_struct structure is in the midst of switching from CPU-0 to all-CPUs state, it can attempt to invoke callbacks for CPUs that have never been online. Worse yet, it can attempt in invoke callbacks for CPUs that never will be online, even including imaginary CPUs not in cpu_possible_mask. This can cause hangs on s390, which is not set up to deal with workqueue handlers being scheduled on such CPUs. This commit therefore causes Tree SRCU to refrain from queueing workqueue handlers on CPUs that have not yet (and might never) come online. Because callbacks are not invoked on CPUs that have not been online, it is an error to invoke call_srcu(), synchronize_srcu(), or synchronize_srcu_expedited() on a CPU that is not yet fully online. However, it turns out to be less code to redirect the callbacks from too-early invocations of call_srcu() than to warn about such invocations. This commit therefore also redirects callbacks queued on not-yet-fully-online CPUs to the boot CPU.

The nRF70 Wi-Fi driver's power-save event handler nrf_wifi_event_proc_get_power_save_info() in drivers/wifi/nrf_wifi/src/wifi_mgmt.c copied TWT (Target Wake Time) flow entries from an nrf_wifi_umac_event_power_save_info event into the fixed-size twt_flows[WIFI_MAX_TWT_FLOWS] (8-element) array of a caller-supplied struct wifi_ps_config, looping over event-provided num_twt_flows without validating it against WIFI_MAX_TWT_FLOWS or checking event_len. When num_twt_flows exceeds 8, the handler writes past the destination array (which is typically on the caller's stack, e.g. the wifi ps shell command) -- an out-of-bounds write of ~40-byte TWT entries -- and reads twt_flow_info[i] past the event buffer. The event is delivered by the nRF70 co-processor firmware in response to a host-initiated power-save GET, so reaching the overflow requires the firmware to emit a malformed or out-of-range event; the trust boundary is host-to-trusted-coprocessor rather than a direct remote-AP write, with over-the-air influence on the flow count being indirect and bounded by the 3-bit TWT flow-id space. PraisonAI (pip package praisonaiagents) before 1.6.78 contains an unsafe dynamic module loading vulnerability in AgentFlow._resolve_pydantic_class (src/praisonai-agents/praisonaiagents/workflows/workflows.py). When a workflow step uses a string output_pydantic reference, the framework locates and imports a sibling tools.py from the workflow file's directory via importlib exec_module without sandboxing, ignoring the PRAISONAI_ALLOW_*_TOOLS environment variables. An attacker who controls a workflow file and its sibling tools.py can execute arbitrary Python code with the workflow runner's privileges when the workflow is executed via WorkflowManager or after load_yaml.

Jul 10, 2026phpMyFAQ before 4.1.5 contains a potential authenticated path traversal vulnerability in the concatenatePaths() function within src/phpMyFAQ/Export/Pdf/Wrapper.CVE-2026-57961 · Websites & servers · phpMyFAQ · reported by VulnCheckMedium 5.1
phpMyFAQ before 4.1.5 contains a potential authenticated path traversal vulnerability in the concatenatePaths() function within src/phpMyFAQ/Export/Pdf/Wrapper.php. A user with FAQ editing privileges can store HTML containing crafted image paths that are processed during PDF generation. The path resolution logic locates the substring "content" within a user-controlled path using strpos(); when "content" is absent, strpos() returns false, which becomes 0 when cast to an integer, preserving the entire attacker-controlled path. This path is later passed to file_get_contents() without canonicalization or root-directory containment validation, which may allow reading of files outside the intended content directory.

Jul 9, 2026A heap buffer overflow vulnerability was found in GStreamer's rfbsrc plugin.CVE-2026-59691 · Other software · Red Hat · reported by Red HatHigh 7.1
A heap buffer overflow vulnerability was found in GStreamer's rfbsrc plugin. When a client connects to a malicious RFB/VNC server that advertises a 16bpp framebuffer and sends Hextile-encoded updates, the Hextile background fill path writes 32-bit pixel values into a buffer allocated for 16-bit pixels. This type mismatch causes an out-of-bounds heap write that can lead to denial of service (process crash) and potential memory corruption.

Jun 29, 2026mcumgr_serial_process_frag() in subsys/mgmt/mcumgr/transport/src/serial_util.c calls net_buf_reset() on the result of smp_packet_alloc() before checking it for CVE-2026-10648 · Other software · zephyrproject · reported by vulnerabilities@zephyrproject.orgMedium 6.2
mcumgr_serial_process_frag() in subsys/mgmt/mcumgr/transport/src/serial_util.c calls net_buf_reset() on the result of smp_packet_alloc() before checking it for NULL. smp_packet_alloc() uses net_buf_alloc(K_NO_WAIT) against the shared MCUmgr packet pool (CONFIG_MCUMGR_TRANSPORT_NETBUF_COUNT, default 4), which returns NULL when the pool is exhausted. In default builds the __ASSERT_NO_MSG in net_buf_reset is a no-op, so net_buf_simple_reset writes through the NULL pointer (buf->len = 0; buf->data = buf->__buf), causing a fault/crash. The fragment data reaches this code from attacker-controlled bytes on the MCUmgr serial/UART/shell-console transports (smp_uart.c, smp_raw_uart.c, smp_shell.c), and a fresh buffer is allocated at the start of essentially every new packet. An attacker on the serial/console link can flood the transport to drive the 4-entry buffer pool to exhaustion and induce the NULL dereference, crashing the device (denial of service). The defect was introduced after the original MCUmgr rework and shipped in Zephyr v4.4.0. The fix moves the NULL check ahead of net_buf_reset.

Jun 24, 2026In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: bpf: Fix linked reg delta tracking when src_reg == dst_reg Consider the case of rX += rX wCVE-2026-53092 · Computers, phones & browsers · Linux · reported by 416baaa9-dc9f-4396-8d5f-8c081fb06d67High 7.8
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: bpf: Fix linked reg delta tracking when src_reg == dst_reg Consider the case of rX += rX where src_reg and dst_reg are pointers to the same bpf_reg_state in adjust_reg_min_max_vals(). The latter first modifies the dst_reg in-place, and later in the delta tracking, the subsequent is_reg_const(src_reg)/reg_const_value(src_reg) reads the post-{add,sub} value instead of the original source. This is problematic since it sets an incorrect delta, which sync_linked_regs() then propagates to linked registers, thus creating a verifier-vs-runtime mismatch. Fix it by just skipping this corner case.
