  • Jun 27, 2026RegistrationMagic – Custom Registration Forms, User Registration, Payment, and User Login: Authentication BypassCVE-2026-9242 · WordPress plugins & themes · reported by WordfenceMedium 5.3

The RegistrationMagic – Custom Registration Forms, User Registration, Payment, and User Login plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to Authentication Bypass via Insufficient Verification of Data Authenticity in all versions up to and including 6.0.8.6. This is due to the PayPal IPN `callback` handler being registered as a nopriv AJAX action with no authentication or nonce requirement, and critically because the handler updates the payment log database row with attacker-controlled POST data — including `payment_status` and the `custom` field encoding the target `user_id` — before PayPal IPN validation is performed, meaning the database remains poisoned even when validation subsequently fails. This makes it possible for unauthenticated attackers to authenticate as any WordPress user, including administrators, by submitting a forged IPN request that overwrites a payment log entry's `user_id` with that of a target account, then visiting the success return URL with a legitimately obtained security hash to cause the plugin to issue real WordPress authentication cookies for the targeted account.

  • May 22, 2026Vedrixa Forms – User Registration Form, Signup Form & Drag & Drop Form Builder: Authorization bypassCVE-2026-8692 · WordPress plugins & themes · reported by WordfenceMedium 4.3

The Vedrixa Forms – User Registration Form, Signup Form & Drag & Drop Form Builder plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to authorization bypass in all versions up to, and including, 1.1.1. This is due to the plugin not properly verifying that a user is authorized to perform an action. This makes it possible for authenticated attackers, with subscriber-level access and above, to overwrite the structure of any form — adding, removing, or altering fields — by writing attacker-controlled data to the plugin's FORMS database table. The 'ajax-nonce' nonce used by this handler is injected into the public frontend via wp_localize_script(), so any authenticated user who visits a page containing a form shortcode can obtain it without any elevated access.

  • May 14, 2026User Registration & Membership: Missing AuthorizationCVE-2026-6145 · WordPress plugins & themes · reported by WordfenceMedium 5.3

The User Registration & Membership plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to Missing Authorization in all versions up to, and including, 5.1.5. This is due to the is_admin_creation_process() method relying solely on the presence of action=createuser in the $_REQUEST superglobal without performing any authentication or capability check. The User Frontend: AI Powered Frontend Posting, User Directory, Profile, Membership & User Registration plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to Deserialization of Untrusted Data in versions up to, and including, 4.3.1 This is due to insufficient input validation and type checking on the wpuf_files parameter during form submission, combined with unconditional deserialization via maybe_unserialize() when displaying post content. This makes it possible for authenticated attackers, with Subscriber-level access and above, to inject arbitrary PHP objects, which can be leveraged to execute arbitrary code, delete arbitrary files, or perform other malicious actions if a POP chain is present on the target system.

  • Apr 13, 2026User Registration & Membership: Open RedirectCVE-2026-6203 · WordPress plugins & themes · reported by WordfenceMedium 6.1

The User Registration & Membership plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to Open Redirect in versions up to and including 5.1.4. This is due to insufficient validation of user-supplied URLs passed via the 'redirect_to_on_logout' GET parameter before redirecting users. The `redirect_to_on_logout` GET parameter is passed directly to WordPress's `wp_redirect()` function instead of the domain-restricted `wp_safe_redirect()`. While `esc_url_raw()` is applied to sanitize malformed URLs, it does not restrict the redirect destination to the local domain, allowing an attacker to craft a specially formed link that redirects users to potentially malicious external URLs after logout, which could be used to facilitate phishing attacks.

  • Apr 10, 2026UsersWP – Front-end login form, User Registration, User Profile & Members Directory plugin for WP: Blind Server-Side Request ForgeryCVE-2026-4979 · WordPress plugins & themes · reported by WordfenceMedium 5

The UsersWP – Front-end login form, User Registration, User Profile & Members Directory plugin for WP plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to blind Server-Side Request Forgery in all versions up to, and including, 1.2.58. This is due to insufficient URL origin validation in the process_image_crop() method when processing avatar/banner image crop operations. The function accepts a user-controlled URL via the uwp_crop POST parameter and only validates it using esc_url() for sanitization and wp_check_filetype() for extension verification, without enforcing that the URL references a local uploads file. The URL is then passed to uwp_resizeThumbnailImage() which uses it in PHP image processing functions (getimagesize(), imagecreatefrom*()) that support URL wrappers and perform outbound HTTP requests. This makes it possible for authenticated attackers with subscriber-level access and above to coerce the WordPress server into making arbitrary HTTP requests to attacker-controlled or internal network destinations, enabling internal network scanning and potential access to sensitive services.

  • Apr 9, 2026UsersWP – Front-end login form, User Registration, User Profile & Members Directory: Improper Access ControlCVE-2026-4977 · WordPress plugins & themes · reported by WordfenceMedium 4.3

The UsersWP – Front-end login form, User Registration, User Profile & Members Directory plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to Improper Access Control in all versions up to, and including, 1.2.58 This is due to insufficient field-level permission validation in the upload_file_remove() AJAX handler where the $htmlvar parameter is not validated against a whitelist of allowed fields or checked against the field's for_admin_use property. This makes it possible for authenticated attackers, with subscriber-level access and above, to clear or reset any restricted usermeta column for their own user record, including fields marked as "For admin use only", bypassing intended field-level access restrictions.
