Perforce Helix Authentication Service (HAS) deployments that retain the shipped default SCIM bearer token are vulnerable to unauthorized access when the SCIM endpoint is reachable by an attacker. In affected versions of HAS, the installation templates contain a default credential which the installer copies into the active configuration; the installer and configuration script do not automatically replace that value with a random token. An attacker who knows the default token can authenticate to the SCIM API and perform user and group operations allowed by the configured provisioning backend. This issue can be chained with CVE-2026-61834 in affected releases of the scim-patch dependency. This vulnerability exists in version 2022.1 - 2025.2 of HAS however the underlying defect was removed in version 2026.1 which was released July 17th 2026. The vulnerability was identified in older versions of HAS after version 2026.1 was released.

Oct 12, 2026The Metasploit Framework Web Service REST API (msf-ws) exposes the credential store through Msf::WebServices::CredentialServlet.CVE-2026-87689 · Other software · Rapid7 · reported by cve@rapid7.comCritical 9.8
The Metasploit Framework Web Service REST API (msf-ws) exposes the credential store through Msf::WebServices::CredentialServlet. Every mutating and read route in this servlet calls warden.authenticate! before processing a request, except the update_credential (PUT) and delete_credentials (DELETE) handlers for /api/v1/credentials, which omit the authentication call entirely. Because these handlers call directly into lib/msf/core/db_manager/cred.rb, which performs no authorization check of its own, any client able to reach the web service on its default 0.0.0.0:8080 listener can read, modify, or permanently delete every stored credential record — including passwords, hashes, and private keys stored for a shared team engagement — without presenting any authentication. All published versions of Metasploit Framework through 6.5.4 are affected. The issue is fixed in 6.5.5 by adding warden.authenticate! as the first statement in both handlers, matching the pattern used by every other route in the API.

Oct 12, 2026Improper Neutralization of Escape, Meta, or Control Sequences vulnerability in hexpm hex allows a malicious package publisher or a hostile repository server to CVE-2026-81856 · Other software · hexpm · reported by 6b3ad84c-e1a6-4bf7-a703-f496b71e49dbLow 2.3
Improper Neutralization of Escape, Meta, or Control Sequences vulnerability in hexpm hex allows a malicious package publisher or a hostile repository server to inject terminal control sequences into the output of Mix tasks. Hex prints strings supplied by the package repository and the documentation search service straight to the terminal through Hex.Shell.info/1 and Hex.Shell.error/1, neutralizing no control characters. Affected sinks span package metadata and configuration snippets in mix hex.info, search results in mix hex.package search and mix hex.search, owner and organization listings, publish and sponsor URLs, the authenticated username in mix hex.user, policy identities in mix hex.policy, and API error bodies rendered by Hex.Utils.print_error_result/1. A malicious package can embed ANSI escape sequences (cursor movement, line erase, carriage returns, OSC 52 clipboard writes) or Unicode bidirectional overrides in any of those fields, so the bytes reach the terminal unchanged, forging displayed URLs, package descriptions and suggested commands, concealing real output, or writing to the clipboard. Oct 12, 2026The Metasploit Framework post module post/apple_ios/gather/ios_image_gather is affected by a relative path traversal vulnerability (CWE-22).CVE-2026-87690 · Other software · Rapid7 · reported by cve@rapid7.comHigh 8.8
The Metasploit Framework post module post/apple_ios/gather/ios_image_gather is affected by a relative path traversal vulnerability (CWE-22). The module interpolates file names taken from a Meterpreter directory listing — data fully controlled by a hostile or tampered iOS device — directly into the local destination path passed to client.fs.file.download_file(), with no sanitization. The underlying stdapi sink (lib/rex/post/meterpreter/extensions/stdapi/fs/file.rb) writes to whatever path is supplied, so a listing entry such as ../../msfconsole.rc escapes the intended ~/.msf4/loot/<random> directory and overwrites ~/.msf4/msfconsole.rc, a resource file that every msfconsole invocation automatically executes at startup (lib/msf/ui/console/driver.rb:196). An attacker-controlled device that lures an operator into running this gather module achieves an arbitrary file write as the operator; because the written msfconsole.rc can load a second written file (a Ruby plugin whose top-level code runs on require), this converts into persistent code execution and an interactive shell as the operator (frequently root) on the pentester's workstation at the next console launch. The same traversal w

Oct 11, 2026The Link Layer Control Procedure (LLCP) implementation of the Zephyr software Bluetooth LE Controller retains the receive node that carried an accepted LL_PHY_UCVE-2026-19740 · Other software · zephyrproject · reported by vulnerabilities@zephyrproject.orgMedium 6.5
The Link Layer Control Procedure (LLCP) implementation of the Zephyr software Bluetooth LE Controller retains the receive node that carried an accepted LL_PHY_UPDATE_IND so that it can later be reused for the host notification when the update instant is reached (llcp_rx_node_retain() in subsys/bluetooth/controller/ll_sw/ull_llcp.c, and the node is deliberately not recycled while marked NODE_RX_TYPE_RETAIN). The invalid-PDU arms of llcp_lp_pu_rx() and llcp_rp_pu_rx() in subsys/bluetooth/controller/ll_sw/ull_llcp_phy.c completed the procedure via llcp_lr_complete() / llcp_rr_complete() without first releasing that retained node, so the procedure context — the only remaining reference to the node — was freed while the node was still held out of the receive pool. A peer device on an established LE connection can drive this deterministically and without pairing or encryption. Against a peripheral it sends LL_PHY_REQ, receives LL_PHY_RSP, sends a valid LL_PHY_UPDATE_IND with an instant a few connection events in the future (so the node becomes retained), and then, before the instant is reached, sends any other LL Control PDU such as LL_LENGTH_REQ; ull_cp_rx() routes it to the active rem

Oct 11, 2026The Bluetooth Link Layer control procedure code in subsys/bluetooth/controller/ll_sw/ull_llcp_conn_upd.c retains the received RX node while a Connection Update CVE-2026-19739 · Other software · zephyrproject · reported by vulnerabilities@zephyrproject.orgMedium 6.5
The Bluetooth Link Layer control procedure code in subsys/bluetooth/controller/ll_sw/ull_llcp_conn_upd.c retains the received RX node while a Connection Update / Connection Parameter procedure waits for its instant, so the node can later carry the host notification (llcp_rx_node_retain(), which marks it NODE_RX_TYPE_RETAIN and thereby suppresses the normal recycling in ull.c). The default: arm of llcp_rp_cu_rx() and llcp_lp_cu_rx() — the "invalid PDU, terminate the connection" path — completed the procedure without releasing that retained node. llcp_rr_check_done() then dequeued and freed the procedure context with ctx->node_ref.rx still pointing at the retained node, dropping the last reference to it. A peer device in radio range can reach this without pairing, bonding, or encryption. Against a peripheral, the peer sends a well-formed LL_CONNECTION_UPDATE_IND with an instant a few connection events in the future (the node is retained and the procedure enters RP_CU_STATE_WAIT_INSTANT), then, before the instant is reached, sends any other LL Control PDU such as LL_LENGTH_REQ. ull_cp_rx() routes that PDU into the active remote Connection Update procedure, which takes the invalid-PDU

The Bluetooth Link Layer Control Procedure (LLCP) implementation for Connected Isochronous Stream (CIS) creation retains an RX node (ctx->node_ref.rx, marked NODE_RX_TYPE_RETAIN) so it can later be reused as the host notification — on the peripheral while awaiting the Host's reply to an LL_CIS_REQ, and on the central for the whole duration of a locally initiated CIS Create. In subsys/bluetooth/controller/ll_sw/ull_llcp_cc.c, the "invalid PDU received" paths of llcp_rp_cc_rx() and llcp_lp_cc_rx() terminated the connection and completed the procedure without releasing that retained node, breaking the invariant checked in llcp_lr_check_done() and llcp_rr_check_done() and orphaning the node's memory. A peer device within radio range can reach this with a single extra LL Control PDU on an unauthenticated, unencrypted ACL link. Against a peripheral, the attacker sends a valid LL_CIS_REQ and then, before the Host replies, any unrelated LL Control PDU (for example LL_VERSION_IND), which ull_cp_rx() routes into the active remote procedure. Against a central performing a CIS Create, a malicious peripheral answers with LL_UNKNOWN_RSP for CIS_REQ, which is dispatched into the active local pro

Oct 10, 2026Out-of-bounds read in the compact Theta sketch deserialization of Apache DataSketches C++ (repo: datasketches-cpp).CVE-2026-103635 · Websites & servers · Apache Software Foundation · reported by security@apache.orgCritical 9.1
Out-of-bounds read in the compact Theta sketch deserialization of Apache DataSketches C++ (repo: datasketches-cpp). compact_theta_sketch::deserialize() and wrapped_compact_theta_sketch::wrap() read header fields before checking that the input was long enough. For the compressed format, the size check could be defeated by a 32-bit overflow, and two header fields that control decoding were not validated; this also affected deserialization from a stream. A crafted or truncated sketch could cause a read past the end of the input. In the compressed case the over-read can be large, and the bytes read can become part of the deserialized sketch. This can cause a crash (denial of service) and could expose adjacent memory contents. This issue affects Apache DataSketches C++: from 3.1.0 before 5.3.0. Only applications that deserialize Theta sketches from untrusted sources are affected. Users are recommended to upgrade to version 5.3.0, which fixes this issue.

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: bpf: Use array_map_meta_equal for percpu array inner map replacement percpu_array_map_ops.map_meta_equal points to the generic bpf_map_meta_equal(), which does not compare max_entries. When a percpu array serves as an inner map, replacing it with one that has fewer max_entries bypasses the check. Since percpu_array_map_gen_lookup() inlines the original template's index_mask as a JIT immediate, a lookup on the replacement map can access pptrs[] out of bounds. Point percpu_array_map_ops.map_meta_equal to array_map_meta_equal(), which already enforces the max_entries equality check. Add a selftest to verify that replacing a percpu array inner map with a differently-sized one is rejected.

In base_subgroup_meta_cb() the destination element was selected as mod_src_param.subgroups[mod_src_param.num_subgroups] with no test against ARRAY_SIZE(mod_src_param.subgroups) (sized by CONFIG_BT_BAP_BASS_MAX_SUBGROUPS, default 1), and the metadata was copied with memcpy() using the raw on-air length returned by bt_bap_base_get_subgroup_codec_meta() into a metadata array sized by CONFIG_BT_AUDIO_CODEC_CFG_MAX_METADATA_SIZE (default 4). The BASE validator bt_bap_base_get_base_from_ad() only checks structural consistency and permits up to ~24 subgroups and metadata LTVs of ~240 octets. Oct 8, 2026music-metadata is a metadata parser for audio and video media files.CVE-2026-107392 · Other software · Borewit · reported by GitHubMedium 6.2
music-metadata is a metadata parser for audio and video media files. Prior to 11.15.0, the DSF parser handles an unrecognized chunk by calling tokenizer.ignore without awaiting the returned promise and without first rejecting a chunk size smaller than the 12-byte chunk header. A crafted DSF input can produce a negative ignore length; with strtok3 10.3.5 or later, the resulting RangeError is detached from the parseBuffer promise and becomes an unhandled rejection under Node.js default behavior. The parse call can appear to resolve before the process crashes, bypassing per-parse try/catch handling. The demonstrated impact is availability loss only and requires the DSF parsing path. This issue is fixed in version 11.15.0.

Oct 8, 2026music-metadata is a metadata parser for audio and video media files.CVE-2026-107391 · Other software · Borewit · reported by GitHubMedium 6.2
music-metadata is a metadata parser for audio and video media files. In the public development revision introduced after 11.14.0, a development-branch regression in the MP4 stsd sample-description parser allows an attacker-controlled sample-entry size of zero to prevent the StsdAtom.get cursor from advancing while an attacker-controlled entry_count keeps the synchronous loop running. A crafted MP4-family input can block the Node.js event loop and grow the sample-description table until the process is terminated or exhausts memory. The vulnerable change was present on the public master branch but was not included in music-metadata 11.14.0 or any earlier npm release, and version 11.16.0 contains the fix. This issue is fixed in version 11.16.0.

Oct 8, 2026music-metadata is a metadata parser for audio and video media files.CVE-2026-107390 · Other software · Borewit · reported by GitHubMedium 6.2
music-metadata is a metadata parser for audio and video media files. Prior to 11.16.0, the MP4 parser accepts an attacker-controlled 64-bit extended atom size, converts it to a JavaScript Number, and uses the resulting payload length for atom-specific readToken calls before proving that the atom fits within its parent or the available input. A tiny MP4-family file can route an oversized length into payload parsing for atoms including mvhd, stsd, stsz, and date, causing a large allocation attempt or process failure before end-of-input validation. Applications that parse untrusted MP4-family media can therefore be denied service. This issue is fixed in version 11.16.0.

Oct 8, 2026music-metadata is a metadata parser for audio and video media files.CVE-2026-107389 · Other software · Borewit · reported by GitHubMedium 6.2
music-metadata is a metadata parser for audio and video media files. Prior to 11.16.0, the Matroska and WebM EBML parser decodes an attacker-controlled VINT element length and uses it for string-token or Uint8Array allocation before confirming that the leaf fits within its parent or available input. Crafted WebM, MKV, or MKA inputs can cause disproportionate allocations, out-of-memory denial of service, or, for a demonstrated parseFile path on Node.js 26.7.0, an uncatchable V8 fatal abort. The exact failure mode depends on the tokenizer, parser API, and runtime, but the affected leaf-length validation flaw is shared and has availability impact only. music-metadata is a metadata parser for audio and video media files. music-metadata is a metadata parser for audio and video media files. Prior to 11.16.0, the APEv2 parser reads an attacker-controlled tag-item size and allocates a Uint8Array for a binary item before proving that the declared item fits in the remaining tag or file data. A small crafted APE file can therefore trigger a disproportionate allocation, including through cover-art items, and repeated or concurrent parsing can exhaust process memory. The demonstrated impact is availability loss only. This issue is fixed in version 11.16.0.

Oct 8, 2026A flaw was found in luksmeta.CVE-2026-107565 · Other software · Red Hat · reported by Red HatMedium 5.1
A flaw was found in luksmeta. A local attacker with administrative privileges can cause data corruption when saving metadata to a Linux Unified Key Setup (LUKS) device. Due to incorrect boundary calculations and flawed overlap detection, new metadata entries can be written beyond available free space or over existing records. This issue can corrupt stored encrypted payload data or existing metadata, potentially rendering the affected data inaccessible.

Joomla Extension - ordasoft.com - Unauthenticated Destructive CRUD in OrdaSoft Touch Slider < 5.4.6 - modOsTouchSliderHelper::getAjax(), wired through Joomla’s core com_ajax dispatcher, is the single handler behind every data-management operation this module exposes. No call to JFactory::getUser(), authorise(), or a CSRF token check exists anywhere in the handler. Two confirmed impact paths: an unauthenticated GET deletes any slider image by guessable sequential IDs, and an unauthenticated multipart upload with a zip file renames and replaces the entire #__os_touch_slider/#__os_touch_slider_text tables site-wide with attacker-supplied content, with no task parameter even required for the second path.

Oct 6, 2026In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: mm: filemap: retain mapped dropbehind folios Fault-around can map ready dropbehind folios CVE-2026-98223 · Computers, phones & browsers · Linux · reported by 416baaa9-dc9f-4396-8d5f-8c081fb06d67
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: mm: filemap: retain mapped dropbehind folios Fault-around can map ready dropbehind folios without going through the normal page-cache lookup that clears dropbehind. A mapping represents a competing cached user, so retain the folio instead of forcibly unmapping it when writeback completes. For a mapped folio, folio_unmap_invalidate() can call unmap_mapping_folio(), which takes i_mmap_rwsem and may sleep. Retaining mapped folios avoids this path when folio_end_dropbehind() runs in non-preemptible task context. Tal was able to trigger a sleeping-in-atomic warning due to this [1]. Unmapped dropbehind folios continue through the existing invalidation path.
