Sep 25, 2026PHP's OpenSSL stream peer verification checks the certificate's subjectAltName entries first and, whenever no entry matches, falls back to the Common Name.CVE-2026-91769 · Websites & servers · PHP Group · reported by security@php.netMedium 4.3
PHP's OpenSSL stream peer verification checks the certificate's subjectAltName entries first and, whenever no entry matches, falls back to the Common Name. RFC 6125 requires the CN to be ignored once the certificate presents any service identity, so a certificate carrying a non-matching DNS SAN was still accepted when its CN matched the requested peer_name. A certificate trusted by the client for one name can therefore be used to impersonate another.

Sep 25, 2026In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: usb: typec: ucsi: unregister debugfs entries on teardown ucsi_register() creates per-instaCVE-2026-100079 · Computers, phones & browsers · Linux · reported by 416baaa9-dc9f-4396-8d5f-8c081fb06d67Medium 5.5
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: usb: typec: ucsi: unregister debugfs entries on teardown ucsi_register() creates per-instance debugfs entries, but ucsi_unregister() keeps them around until ucsi_destroy(). Drivers like ucsi_glink that unregister/register the same UCSI instance across remoteproc restart then try to create an already existing debugfs directory and log: debugfs: 'pmic_glink.ucsi.0' already exists in 'ucsi' Unregister debugfs entries as part of ucsi_unregister(), and clear ucsi->debugfs after freeing it so repeated unregister paths remain safe.

Sep 25, 2026In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: nexthop: Initialize extack in remove_nh_grp_entry() remove_nh_grp_entry() prints the extacCVE-2026-98031 · Computers, phones & browsers · Linux · reported by 416baaa9-dc9f-4396-8d5f-8c081fb06d67
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: nexthop: Initialize extack in remove_nh_grp_entry() remove_nh_grp_entry() prints the extack message when a listener fails to replace the reduced nexthop group. However, extack is not initialized and listeners are not required to set a message when returning an error. Neither netdevsim nor mlxsw do so when an allocation fails, resulting in the dereference of an uninitialized stack pointer. Fix by zero-initializing extack, as was done in commit 6347c5314cee ("nexthop: initialize extack in nh_res_bucket_migrate()").

Sep 25, 2026In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: vxlan: reject dynamic fdb entries that reference a nexthop id The commit cited in the FixeCVE-2026-98023 · Computers, phones & browsers · Linux · reported by 416baaa9-dc9f-4396-8d5f-8c081fb06d67High 7.8
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: vxlan: reject dynamic fdb entries that reference a nexthop id The commit cited in the Fixes tag allowed VXLAN FDB entries to point to FDB nexthops so that overlay traffic could be load balanced across multiple VTEPs. Such entries can only be configured from user space, cannot be learned and cannot roam. They only make sense with a user space control plane such as E-VPN where data plane learning is disabled. Despite that, the VXLAN driver does not currently prevent such entries from being configured with the "dynamic" flag. The per-nexthop FDB list is only protected by the per-device hash lock, which is not sufficient when two VXLAN devices point to the same FDB nexthop and therefore share the list. Aging runs in softirq context without RTNL, so an entry deleted by one device can race with an addition or deletion from the other, leading to list corruption: list_del corruption. next->prev should be ffff8881069d9548, but was dead000000000122. Sep 25, 2026In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: hwmon: (corsair-cpro) Create debugfs entries after hwmon registration ccp_debugfs_init() rCVE-2026-97968 · Computers, phones & browsers · Linux · reported by 416baaa9-dc9f-4396-8d5f-8c081fb06d67
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: hwmon: (corsair-cpro) Create debugfs entries after hwmon registration ccp_debugfs_init() registers debugfs files whose private data is the devm allocated ccp. It runs before hwmon_device_register_with_info(), so when that registration fails, ccp_probe() returns with the files still in place. The HID core then frees ccp, and ccp_remove() is not called for a failed probe, so nothing removes them later either. Reading one of the files dereferences the freed pointer. Create the debugfs entries only after the hwmon device has been registered, so no failing path can leave them behind. The two version queries stay where they are. They send USB commands without holding ccp->mutex, which is only safe as long as nothing else can call send_usb_cmd(); once the hwmon device is registered its callbacks can do so concurrently. Only the debugfs creation moves, and it is told which queries succeeded.

Sep 25, 2026In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: hwmon: (corsair-cpro) Remove debugfs entries when probe fails ccp_debugfs_init() registersCVE-2026-97967 · Computers, phones & browsers · Linux · reported by 416baaa9-dc9f-4396-8d5f-8c081fb06d67
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: hwmon: (corsair-cpro) Remove debugfs entries when probe fails ccp_debugfs_init() registers debugfs files whose private data is the devm allocated ccp. If hwmon_device_register_with_info() fails right after it, ccp_probe() returns without removing them: the HID core then frees ccp, and ccp_remove() is not called for a failed probe, so the files stay behind. Reading one of them dereferences the freed pointer. Remove the debugfs entries on that error path. debugfs_remove_recursive() waits for readers already inside the show callbacks, so ccp is no longer reachable through debugfs by the time probe returns.

Sep 25, 2026In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: perf/x86/intel: Prevent drain_pebs() reentry The PEBS buffer is shared by all events on a CVE-2026-97960 · Computers, phones & browsers · Linux · reported by 416baaa9-dc9f-4396-8d5f-8c081fb06d67
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: perf/x86/intel: Prevent drain_pebs() reentry The PEBS buffer is shared by all events on a CPU, so drain_pebs() must not be reentered. If so, one instance may observe stale buffer state and potentially access out-of-bound memory. Most invocations happen in NMI context, which naturally prevents reentry. However, drain_pebs() is also reachable from process context via intel_pmu_drain_pebs_buffer(). In those paths, the PMU is often already disabled, but not guaranteed. For example, __intel_pmu_pebs_disable() only disables the target counter, so other active counters can still raise a PMI and interrupt an in-flight drain_pebs(). Here is an example, __perf_addr_filters_adjust() perf_event_stop() __perf_event_stop() x86_pmu_stop() (event->pmu->stop) intel_pmu_disable_event() intel_pmu_pebs_disable() __intel_pmu_pebs_disable() intel_pmu_drain_large_pebs() intel_pmu_drain_pebs_buffer() Introduce __intel_pmu_quiesce() and __intel_pmu_resume() helpers and use them in intel_pmu_drain_large_pebs() to disable the full PMU around the intel_pmu_drain_peb

Sep 25, 2026In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: configfs: pin the symlink target's dirent instead of chasing ->ci_dentry create_link() reaCVE-2026-97950 · Computers, phones & browsers · Linux · reported by 416baaa9-dc9f-4396-8d5f-8c081fb06d67
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: configfs: pin the symlink target's dirent instead of chasing ->ci_dentry create_link() reads the target's configfs_dirent from item->ci_dentry->d_fsdata, relying on the item reference taken by get_target(). That reference pins the item, not its dentry: the dentry is pinned by DCACHE_PERSISTENT, which configfs_remove_dir() releases via simple_rmdir() while the item is still alive. A symlink racing with rmdir of its target can therefore find ->ci_dentry freed and its dirent released, triggering WARN_ON(!atomic_read(&sd->s_count)) in configfs_get(). Take the dirent in get_target() as well, under ->d_lock and atomically with the item reference, and pass it down to create_link(). A hashed dentry has not been killed yet, so its ->d_fsdata reference keeps the dirent alive there.

Sep 25, 2026In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: configfs: unhash the dentry before dropping the item in rmdir configfs_get_config_item() tCVE-2026-97949 · Computers, phones & browsers · Linux · reported by 416baaa9-dc9f-4396-8d5f-8c081fb06d67
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: configfs: unhash the dentry before dropping the item in rmdir configfs_get_config_item() treats a hashed dentry as proof that sd->s_element is a live config_item. configfs_rmdir() breaks that: simple_rmdir() leaves the dentry hashed, the last reference to the item is dropped right after, and the dentry is only unhashed by d_delete() once ->rmdir() has returned. configfs_symlink() resolves its target holding no lock on it, so get_target() can land in that window: BUG: KASAN: slab-use-after-free in config_item_get+0x26/0x90 get_target fs/configfs/symlink.c:128 [inline] configfs_symlink+0x4ab/0x1030 fs/configfs/symlink.c:185 Unhash in configfs_remove_dir(), while the item is still guaranteed to be there. A reference obtained just before that stays harmless, as create_link() rechecks CONFIGFS_USET_DROPPING, already set by configfs_detach_prep(). Both configfs_unregister_subsystem() paths d_drop() after detaching, so this only makes rmdir match them.

Sep 25, 2026In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: ufs: create the root dentry after loading cylinder metadata ufs_fill_super() installed sb-CVE-2026-97927 · Computers, phones & browsers · Linux · reported by 416baaa9-dc9f-4396-8d5f-8c081fb06d67
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: ufs: create the root dentry after loading cylinder metadata ufs_fill_super() installed sb->s_root before it loaded the cylinder group structures for a writable mount: sb->s_root = d_make_root(inode); ... if (!sb_rdonly(sb)) if (!ufs_read_cylinder_structures(sb)) goto failed; When ufs_read_cylinder_structures() failed, the error path freed the in-core superblock information and set sb->s_fs_info to NULL while sb->s_root stayed installed. get_tree_bdev() then reached deactivate_locked_super(), and because s_root was present, generic_shutdown_super() called sync_filesystem() and the put_super operation. Both dereference UFS_SB(sb), which is now NULL, so a mount that fails only while reading the cylinder groups oopses during teardown. A crafted image whose first cylinder group cannot be read reaches this path. Load the cylinder group metadata first and create the root dentry last, so the superblock is published to the VFS only once it is fully set up. ufs_setup_cstotal() and ufs_read_cylinder_structures() take only the super_block and do not use the root inode, so the reordering is safe.

Sep 25, 2026In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: tracing: Keep the entry count when the histogram stats allocation fails print_entries() usCVE-2026-97920 · Computers, phones & browsers · Linux · reported by 416baaa9-dc9f-4396-8d5f-8c081fb06d67
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: tracing: Keep the entry count when the histogram stats allocation fails print_entries() uses n_entries both as the number of sort entries and as its own return value, so the -ENOMEM it stores when the stats allocation fails overwrites the count that the cleanup still needs: n_entries = tracing_map_sort_entries(map, ...); if (n_entries < 0) return n_entries; ... if (!stats) { n_entries = -ENOMEM; goto out; } ... out: tracing_map_destroy_sort_entries(sort_entries, n_entries); tracing_map_destroy_sort_entries() takes an unsigned int and loops up to it, so -ENOMEM arrives as 4294967284. It walks an array of at most map->max_elts pointers and calls destroy_sort_entry(), which dereferences and frees, on whatever lies past the end. Reading the hist file of a trigger with a .percent value, with that allocation forced to fail: BUG: KASAN: vmalloc-out-of-bounds in tracing_map_destroy_sort_entries+0xa0/0xb0 Read of size 8 at addr ffffc90000045000 by task init/1 tracing_map_destroy_sort_entries+0xa0/0xb0 hist_show+0x6f7/0x1df0 seq_read_iter+0x2b8/0x1190 vfs_read+0x176/0xa40 The bug

Sep 24, 2026In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: wifi: cfg80211: reject duplicate wiphy cipher suite entries Duplicate entries in wiphy->ciCVE-2026-97518 · Computers, phones & browsers · Linux · reported by 416baaa9-dc9f-4396-8d5f-8c081fb06d67
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: wifi: cfg80211: reject duplicate wiphy cipher suite entries Duplicate entries in wiphy->cipher_suites do not describe any additional capability, but cfg80211 currently accepts them and leaves individual consumers to deal with them. One such consumer is the WEXT compatibility code, which appends a WEP key length for each WEP cipher entry it sees. Repeated WEP entries can therefore overflow the fixed iw_range::encoding_size array returned by SIOCGIWRANGE. Reject duplicate cipher suite entries in wiphy_register() instead. This keeps the cipher suite invariant in one place and makes malformed wiphy descriptions fail early with -EINVAL, rather than relying on a single cfg80211 user to handle duplicates correctly.

Sep 24, 2026In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: arm64: entry: Avoid unnecessary local_irq_disable() on kernel exit Currently, when exitingCVE-2026-93254 · Computers, phones & browsers · Linux · reported by 416baaa9-dc9f-4396-8d5f-8c081fb06d67
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: arm64: entry: Avoid unnecessary local_irq_disable() on kernel exit Currently, when exiting to kernel mode, we attempt involuntary preemption. The preemption logic expects IRQs to be disabled, which is why we call local_irq_disable() before attempting preemption. However, depending on the context, local_irq_disable() may be unnecessary: - __el1_irq(), the non-NMI EL1 IRQ path, already has IRQs disabled, so local_irq_disable() is redundant. - irqentry_exit_to_kernel_mode_preempt() immediately returns when exiting from an NMI-like context, so calling local_irq_disable() beforehand is unnecessary work. Furthermore, it confuses the pNMI state tracking when we are in a context with interrupts disabled and the GIC_PRIO_PSR_I_SET bit is set in the PMR, leading to a warning when CONFIG_ARM64_DEBUG_PRIORITY_MASKING=y: WARNING: ./arch/arm64/include/asm/irqflags.h:63 at arm64_exit_to_kernel_mode+0xb8/0xc0, CPU#40: retsnoop/31805 CPU: 40 UID: 0 PID: 31805 Comm: retsnoop Not tainted 7.2.0-rc6-next-20260805 #7 PREEMPTLAZY pstate: 234013c9 (nzCv DAIF +PAN -UAO +TCO +DIT +SSBS BTYPE=--) pc : arm64_e

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: SUNRPC: Zero rpc_gss_wire_cred at svcauth_gss_decode_credbody() entry svcauth_gss_decode_credbody() writes the caller's rpc_gss_wire_cred field by field and assigns gc_ctx.len only on the success tail. The caller storage is svcdata->clcred, which lives in the per-svc_rqst gss_svc_data and is reused across requests. Early decode failures leave partially decoded state mixed with residue from the prior request. The trailing body_len tightness check is the sharpest case: xdr_stream_decode_opaque_inline() has already written gc_ctx.data with a borrowed inline pointer into the current request's XDR pages, but gc_ctx.len retains its prior value. Once the request pages are released the pooled clcred carries a dangling pointer paired with a stale length. Zero the caller's rpc_gss_wire_cred at function entry so that every early-return path leaves a deterministic all-zero cred. On the trailing tightness-check path, gc_ctx.len is now zero instead of stale, which neuters length-driven consumers such as gss_svc_searchbyctx() that would otherwise walk the dangling data pointer.

Sep 22, 2026MISP ships with PHP's phar stream wrapper registered in both its web entry point and its console entry point.CVE-2026-95806 · Other software · MISP · reported by 5a6e4751-2f3f-4070-9419-94fb35b644e8High 7.7
MISP ships with PHP's phar stream wrapper registered in both its web entry point and its console entry point. The phar stream wrapper causes PHP to treat a phar archive as a directory, which has two security consequences: - any filesystem operation on a caller-influenced path that resolves to a phar archive triggers an implicit unserialize() call, creating a deserialization sink; - a relocated application root can reach executable code inside an uploaded phar file, enabling arbitrary code execution as the web user. No component of MISP, the vendored CakePHP framework, or any runtime-loaded library reads or constructs phar archives. The wrapper therefore serves no legitimate purpose in the MISP runtime and exists solely as an available primitive for an attacker who can influence a filesystem path argument.

Sep 22, 2026In MISP, the EventReport::uploadPicture method in processed a caller-supplied tmp_name field by invoking file_exists(), mime_content_type(), and exif_imagetype(CVE-2026-95693 · Other software · MISP · reported by 5a6e4751-2f3f-4070-9419-94fb35b644e8Medium 5.3
In MISP, the EventReport::uploadPicture method in processed a caller-supplied tmp_name field by invoking file_exists(), mime_content_type(), and exif_imagetype() on the supplied path before verifying that the value was a genuine PHP upload via is_uploaded_file(). An authenticated user holding the perm_add permission could supply an arbitrary filesystem path as the tmp_name value. The application would then probe that path and return distinct validation error messages depending on whether the file existed, its MIME type, or its image format. By observing the differing error responses, an attacker could enumerate the existence of files at arbitrary paths on the MISP server and determine their type. This constitutes an information disclosure vulnerability: the server's filesystem layout and file types are leaked to any user with the perm_add role without requiring administrative access. The vulnerability does not allow reading file contents, writing files, or executing code, but it can aid further attacks by revealing sensitive file locations (e.g., configuration files, private keys, or other artifacts) present on the host.

MISP contains an access control flaw in the EventReports functionality. The replaceSuggestionInReport action, which allows modification of suggestion content within an event report, was incorrectly mapped to the wildcard permission ('*') in the ACLComponent, making it accessible to any authenticated user regardless of their assigned permissions. All analogous report-modification actions correctly required the perm_add permission, while read-only actions such as downloadAsPDF appropriately used the wildcard. An authenticated user without the perm_add permission could invoke the replaceSuggestionInReport endpoint to alter report suggestion data, violating the intended authorization model. This constitutes an improper authorization weakness that could lead to unauthorized modification of event report content, potentially corrupting shared threat intelligence data or injecting misleading information into reports relied upon by other analysts and automated consumers.

Sep 21, 2026InvenTree is an Open Source Inventory Management System.CVE-2026-61749 · Other software · inventree · reported by GitHubMedium 6.5
InvenTree is an Open Source Inventory Management System. Prior to 1.4.0, privileged staff users who can author report or label templates can cause WeasyPrint report rendering to retrieve attacker-selected resources through the HTTP and HTTPS URL schemes or the local file URI scheme. The HTML(string=html).write_pdf() path does not provide a restricted url_fetcher, and attach_to_model=True stores the original generated PDF before later processing, allowing fetched local files or internal HTTP response bodies to be recovered from embedded attachments. This enables full-read server-side request forgery, arbitrary local file disclosure including application credentials, and possible compromise of a superuser account. In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: RDMA/cxgb4: Fix dereg_skb leak and double free in write_tpt_entry() When the device is in the fatal error state, write_tpt_entry() returns -EIO before handing the caller's preallocated skb to the transmit path; its allocation-failure returns do the same. c4iw_dereg_mr() ignores the error and frees mhp, leaking mhp->dereg_skb. c4iw_get_dma_mr() instead frees the skb a second time after dereg_mem() already consumed it, a double free. Make write_tpt_entry() the sole owner of a non-NULL skb, freeing it on every return preceding handoff to c4iw_ofld_send(): fatal error, tpt and stag allocation failure. c4iw_ofld_send() consumes the skb on success and error alike, so drop the redundant kfree_skb() in c4iw_get_dma_mr() after dereg_mem().

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: RDMA/cxgb4: free STAG index when TPT entry write fails write_tpt_entry() allocates a new STAG index with c4iw_get_resource() and bumps stats.stag.cur before programming the entry. When write_adapter_mem() fails, it returns the error without releasing the index or reversing the statistic. No MR is inserted into rhp->mrs, so deregistration never reclaims it, leaking the index until device teardown. Record whether this call allocated the index and, on a failed write, return it to tpt_table and decrement stats.stag.cur. Key the rollback on both the write error and that flag, not the error alone: a non-reset update carries a caller-owned STAG that this call did not allocate and must not free.

Unfortunately, that fix was incomplete [1], as it failed to update 'orig_x0' between a tracer updating x0 during a seccomp ptrace exit (SECCOMP_RET_TRACE) and the seccomp filter being re-evaluated. Rather than add hooks to the core seccomp code, instead move the synchronisation code into the ptrace GPR and syscall setting code so that 'orig_x0' is kept up to date with x0 whenever we're stopped on the syscall entry path.

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: ocfs2: validate external xattr entries when reading metadata ocfs2_validate_xattr_block() checks the xattr block header before the block reaches higher-level xattr users, but it does not verify that a non-indexed block's xh_count and entry offsets fit inside the block. Indexed buckets likewise reach list/get consumers after ECC without an entry-bounds check. Use the flat xattr entry validator for non-indexed external xattr blocks, and use a bucket-specific validator for indexed buckets at metadata read time. In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: iommu/vt-d: Clear Present bit before tearing down copied context entry copied_context_tear_down() zeroes the 128-bit context entry with context_clear_entry() while the Present bit is still set, and only then issues the context-cache and IOTLB invalidations. This leaves a window in which hardware can fetch a torn entry, with some fields already zeroed while Present is still set, leading to unpredictable behaviour or spurious faults. While x86 provides strong write ordering, the compiler may reorder the writes to the two 64-bit halves of the entry, and the hardware fetch is not guaranteed to be atomic with respect to multiple CPU writes. There is no cacheline flush before the invalidation either, so on an IOMMU without coherent access to the context table the zeroed entry may not be visible to hardware at the point the invalidation is submitted. Apply the same ownership handshake described in the VT-d spec, Section 6.5.3.3 ("Guidance to Software for Invalidations"): clear only the Present bit, flush it out to the IOMMU, perform the invalidations, and only then zero the remainder of the entry.

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: NFSv4: remove callback IDR entry on client allocation failure nfs4_alloc_client() allocates an NFSv4.0 callback identifier before it finishes setting up the client. If any later initialization step fails, the error path frees the nfs_client directly with nfs_free_client(). That bypasses nfs_put_client(), which is where the callback IDR entry is removed during normal teardown. A failed allocation can therefore leave cb_ident_idr pointing at a freed nfs_client. A later NFSv4.0 callback lookup by cb_ident would find the stale pointer and take a reference to it. Make the callback IDR removal helper callable by the allocation failure path, and remove the callback identifier before freeing the client. This was found by a local static-analysis checker for publish-before-free lifetime bugs and confirmed by manual inspection.

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: ntfs: Fix index_root heap OOB write in ntfs_ir_to_ib() ntfs_ir_to_ib copies all entries from index_root into a freshly allocated index_block_size-byte buffer without verifying that the entries fit in the available space. The entries in index_root may be larger than the usable entry space in the index block. This can cause OOB writes past the end of the allocation. The validator ntfs_index_root_inconsistent() checks that entries are self-consistent within the IR value, but never cross-checks them against index_block_size. There is no bounds check in ntfs_ir_to_ib() before the memcpy. Fixing this at the sink in ntfs_ir_to_ib() since ntfs_index_root_inconsistent() validates the logical consistency of index_root as a structure and a root with large entries is a structurally valid root. The bug is a size conflict of ntfs_ir_to_ib(). Also, the validator is called once per inode load in ntfs_read_locked_inode() while ntfs_ir_to_ib() is only called during a reparent, a check there adds no overhead to the common path. Moreover, even a future call path that bypasses the validator would still be protected. With NULL as

The stashed entry has no consumer: smc_llc_wait() is only called from llc_add_link_work, which is not yet scheduled while the flow type remains REQ_ADD_LINK. No waiter is sleeping on llc_msg_waiter at this point. It is safe to unconditionally f

Where this comes from: the exploited list is CISA’s Known Exploited Vulnerabilities catalog. Everything else is the whole National Vulnerability Database, where each record is published by the team that found the bug (Wordfence, Patchstack, WPScan, the vendors themselves and others); we show who. Exploit odds are FIRST’s EPSS, updated daily. Titles and categories are ours, so check the linked record before acting on a detail. For a write-up of the big ones, see our advisories. Every vendor, and every WordPress plugin and theme with a recorded flaw, also has its own page. All of it is free to reuse as JSON, CSV or RSS.
