MISP exposes critical infrastructure settings—specifically the Redis host addresses used by the core application, the ZeroMQ plugin, and the SimpleBackgroundJobs plugin—through its web UI and API to site-admin users. The background job workers trust raw Redis job payloads without additional validation. An attacker who obtains a hijacked site-admin session (for example, through a stored cross-site scripting vulnerability) can modify the Redis host settings to point at an attacker-controlled Redis server and then restart the workers. Once the workers connect to the attacker's Redis instance, the attacker can inject malicious job payloads that the workers execute, achieving arbitrary command execution as the worker account. Additionally, the download_attachments_on_load setting, which controls inline attachment rendering, was modifiable through the same interface, allowing a hijacked session to re-enable a feature that could facilitate further client-side attacks. The vulnerability requires site-admin privileges and a prior session-compromise mechanism; it does not require unauthenticated access. The impact is remote code execution in the context of the MISP worker process and potenti

The CakeResponse::download() method in lib/Cake/Network/CakeResponse.php constructs a Content-Disposition header by directly interpolating a caller-supplied filename into a quoted-string value without sanitization. Two distinct injection vectors exist in the unpatched code. First, if the filename contains C0 control characters (CR or LF), PHP refuses to emit the entire Content-Disposition header, silently dropping the attachment disposition. The response body is then served with its own Content-Type (for example text/html for an .html attachment) and renders inline in the browser on the application origin, creating a stored cross-site scripting condition. The commit message notes this is reachable even when the download_attachments_on_load setting is enabled, meaning a victim merely needs to view a page that triggers the download. Second, a double-quote character in the filename terminates the quoted-string value early, permitting injection of additional Content-Disposition parameters. The affected code path covers all callers of CakeResponse::download(), including attribute downloads, proposal downloads, and restSearch exports. An authenticated user who can create or upload an att

  • Oct 6, 2026In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: Bluetooth: btmtksdio, btmtkuart: validate WMT event length before struct access btmtksdio.CVE-2026-98292 · Computers, phones & browsers · Linux · reported by 416baaa9-dc9f-4396-8d5f-8c081fb06d67

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: Bluetooth: btmtksdio, btmtkuart: validate WMT event length before struct access btmtksdio.c and btmtkuart.c cast a received WMT event straight to struct btmtk_hci_wmt_evt and read its op/flag fields without checking the event is long enough to contain them, unlike btmtk.c. The FUNC_CTRL case then further casts to struct btmtk_hci_wmt_evt_funcc and reads its 2-byte status field, again without a length check. Firmware that sends a short or malformed WMT event makes both drivers read past the end of the received SKB. Mirror btmtk.c: validate the base WMT header with skb_pull_data() before touching any of its fields, and when a FUNC_CTRL event turns out to be the short, header-only form (a plain enable/disable ack with no status word), decode the result from the header's own flag byte instead (0 = success, otherwise failure). Verified setup on MT7920, MT7921, MT7922 and MT7925: no regression.

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: drm/msm: RCU-free the scheduler-containing ring and VM objects Both struct msm_ringbuffer and struct msm_gem_vm embed a struct drm_gpu_scheduler. msm_ringbuffer_destroy() and the VM free callback msm_gem_vm_free() call drm_sched_fini() on the embedded scheduler and then free the containing object with plain kfree(). drm_sched_fence_get_timeline_name() returns fence->sched->name, and the scheduler fence keeps a .release callback so it is not ops-detached on signalling. A finished fence exported to userspace (the submit out-fence, or a VM_BIND fence, via sync_file / drm_syncobj) keeps pointing at the embedded scheduler after the ring/VM is freed, so a later get_timeline_name() -- reachable unprivileged through SYNC_IOC_FILE_INFO -- dereferences freed slab memory (KASAN slab-use-after-free read). Per the dma-fence lifetime contract the exporter must keep the data backing a signalled fence alive for an RCU grace period. Free the scheduler-containing objects with kfree_rcu() instead of kfree(). • Oct 6, 2026In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: smb: client: fix OOB struct field reads in move_smb2_ea_to_cifs() In move_smb2_ea_to_cifs(CVE-2026-98170 · Computers, phones & browsers · Linux · reported by 416baaa9-dc9f-4396-8d5f-8c081fb06d67

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: smb: client: fix OOB struct field reads in move_smb2_ea_to_cifs() In move_smb2_ea_to_cifs(), the while (src_size > 0) loop condition is insufficient. It allows iteration to continue even if the remaining src_size is too small to contain a complete smb2_ea_info structure. Consequently, reads of ea_name_length and ea_value_length can occur out-of-bounds. Fix this by ensuring src_size >= sizeof(*src) before attempting to read any structure fields. Additionally, reject any next_entry_offset that is smaller than sizeof(*src) or that would advance the pointer beyond the available buffer. Note that for calls where the server returns a malformed EA list, the error returned to userspace changes from -ENODATA (getxattr) or -ERANGE (listxattr) to -EIO. This correctly signals a server protocol error rather than misleadingly indicating "attribute not present" or "output buffer too small".

  • Oct 5, 2026The system-call verifier for i3c_do_ccc() in drivers/i3c/i3c_handlers.c validated the outer struct i3c_ccc_payload, the broadcast ccc.data buffer and the targetCVE-2026-19185 · Other software · zephyrproject · reported by vulnerabilities@zephyrproject.orgHigh 7.8

The system-call verifier for i3c_do_ccc() in drivers/i3c/i3c_handlers.c validated the outer struct i3c_ccc_payload, the broadcast ccc.data buffer and the targets.payloads[] array, but did not validate the per-target data buffers those array elements point at. Each struct i3c_ccc_target_payload carries its own data pointer and data_len, and neither was passed through K_SYSCALL_MEMORY() before the payload was handed to z_impl_i3c_do_ccc() and on to the controller driver. The verifier also operated on the caller's live structure rather than a snapshot, so validated fields could be changed by a second user thread between the check and the driver's use — unlike the sibling z_vrfy_i3c_transfer(), which has always copied its message array first. The defect is only present in CONFIG_USERSPACE builds, where drivers/i3c/i3c_handlers.c is compiled. An unprivileged user-mode thread that has been granted access to the I3C controller device object — the ordinary way an application lets a user thread talk to I3C peripherals — can issue a direct CCC whose target payload data pointer names an arbitrary kernel address. Controller drivers dereference that pointer directly (for example drivers/i3c/i3

  • Oct 2, 2026Multidict is an implementation of a multidict data structure.CVE-2026-104874 · Other software · aio-libs · reported by GitHubMedium 5.3

Multidict is an implementation of a multidict data structure. From 6.7.0 until 6.9.1, the C extension's items-view reflected union operation, operand | d.items(), in multidict_itemsview_or2_impl and subtraction operation, d.items() - operand, in multidict_itemsview_sub1_impl fail to release new key-identity and value references returned for each operand element. Applications that perform these operations over attacker-influenced sequences can leak two strong references per element, and garbage collection cannot reclaim them, so repeated operations can cause unbounded process memory growth and denial of service. Forward union, intersection, non-tuple operand elements, and pure-Python builds are not affected by this reference leak. This issue is fixed in version 6.9.1.

Seroval facilitates JS value stringification, including complex structures beyond JSON.stringify capabilities. From 0.12.0 until 1.6.2, fromJSON deserialization of a fulfilled Promise control node can pass a plugin-produced callable-bearing thenable to a native Promise resolver. ECMAScript thenable assimilation then invokes the callable unexpectedly, allowing attacker-controlled JSON to trigger code in applications using plugin-capable Seroval releases. This path bypasses the Promise resolver type-confusion remediation in version 1.5.3 for CVE-2026-59940 because the unexpected invocation occurs through native Promise settlement after the referenced value is deserialized. This issue is fixed in version 1.6.2.

  • Oct 2, 2026Seroval facilitates JS value stringification, including complex structures beyond JSON.stringify capabilities.CVE-2026-104845 · Other software · lxsmnsyc · reported by GitHubHigh 7.5

Seroval facilitates JS value stringification, including complex structures beyond JSON.stringify capabilities. Prior to 1.6.3, deserializeTypedArray in fromJSON and fromCrossJSON trusts a deserialized source value as an ArrayBuffer and does not bound the serialized element count. An attacker can provide a small untrusted JSON object with a large length value, causing the array-like TypedArray constructor to synchronously allocate the selected number of elements and exhaust CPU or memory while starving the event loop. The offset check does not reject the crafted source because source.byteLength is undefined. DataView reaches a similar unchecked cast but throws rather than allocating, and the issue has no identified confidentiality or integrity impact. This issue is fixed in version 1.6.3.

Exposure of the message authentication key through the encryption keystream in the stream mode of IesEngine (an IesEngine constructed without a block cipher) in Legion of the Bouncy Castle Inc. bc-csharp before 2.7.0 allows a remote attacker who has observed one encrypted message with known plaintext to forge shorter messages of their choosing that the recipient accepts as authentic, via a crafted ciphertext and MAC tag, because the MAC key was taken from the key derivation output directly after a keystream as long as the message, while the derivation input depends only on the static key pair and fixed parameters. The native BSD-socket layer recorded a pending asynchronous socket error by type-punning it into struct net_context's void user_data field (ctx->user_data = INT_TO_POINTER(-status) in zsock_accepted_cb(), zsock_received_cb(), zsock_connected_cb() and zsock_close_ctx() in subsys/net/lib/sockets/sockets_inet.c), reading it back with POINTER_TO_INT(). That same field is owned by the network stack for listening TCP contexts: net_tcp_accept() stores the parent context pointer there and the TCP core passes it back to the registered accept callback. A failed accept therefore left a small integer (an errno value) where the stack expected a struct net_context . When the network interface carrying a listening TCP socket goes down, close_tcp_conn() in subsys/net/ip/tcp.c invokes the accept callback with -ENETDOWN and the context's user_data. In v4.3.0 the callback was not disarmed afterwards, so a second interface-down event forwarded the previously stored errno to zsock_accepted_cb(), which dereferenced it as the parent context and performed several stores through it (sock_set_error()'s read-modify-write of socket_data, k_fifo_cancel_wait(&parent->recv_q)) — the crash described in the fix's

The ADC API requires each driver to reject a sampling sequence whose destination buffer is too small: the buffer_size field of struct adc_sequence in include/zephyr/drivers/adc.h documents that "the driver must ensure that samples are not written beyond the limit and it must return an error if the buffer turns out to be not large enough". The ADI MAX32 driver did not honour that contract. start_read() in drivers/adc/adc_max32.c compared buffer_size, a byte count, against a sample count ((1 + extra_samplings) channels), ignoring sizeof(uint16_t), so it accepted a buffer half the required size. The samples are then stored through the uint16_t data->buffer by Wrap_MXC_ADC_GetData(), which writes two bytes per sample and advances the pointer by one uint16_t: in adc_max32_start_channel() for synchronous reads, and in adc_max32_isr() for asynchronous ones. A sequence selecting two channels with a two-byte buffer, for example, passes the check and has its second sample written past the end of the buffer. • Sep 26, 2026vm2 before 3.12.2 does not apply host-side Promise rejection handling in the sandbox-to-host construct trap.CVE-2026-100722 · Other software · patriksimek · reported by VulnCheckHigh 8.9

vm2 before 3.12.2 does not apply host-side Promise rejection handling in the sandbox-to-host construct trap. In BaseHandler, the apply trap calls markHostPromiseHandled() on the returned value, but the adjacent construct path returns the result of Reflect.construct without the same sanitization. If an embedder exposes a constructable host function whose constructor returns a native rejected Promise, an untrusted script executed via VM.run can invoke it with `new` and ignore the result; the rejected host Promise crosses the bridge unhandled and, under Node's strict unhandled-rejection policy, is promoted to an uncaught exception that terminates the host process.

OpenClaw (npm package `openclaw`) before 2026.7.1 fails to restrict owner-only infrastructure tools exposed through the chat.send endpoint. In Gateway deployments using authentication modes that honor caller identity and narrower operator scopes, a write-scoped non-owner caller can start a chat turn whose tool inventory includes the `gateway` and `cron` tools, causing the agent to invoke owner-only configuration or scheduling operations, including persistent state changes. Practical impact depends on the tools selected by the model and the caller's ability to steer the turn. Shared-secret token and password callers are treated as fully trusted operators under OpenClaw's security model and are outside the scope of this issue. The issue is fixed in 2026.7.1; as a workaround, restrict chat.send to administrators in identity-bearing deployments and remove `gateway` and `cron` from affected agent tool policies.

Readwise Reader for Android constructs URLs in its WebView using attacker-controlled metadata without proper encoding or escaping. The application interpolates untrusted values directly into URL strings and inserts them into the DOM via innerHTML. Because the interpolation occurs without HTML or JavaScript context encoding, a crafted metadata value can break out of the intended URL structure and inject script content. An attacker could supply a document containing malicious metadata that, once synchronized to an Android device and rendered in the Reader WebView, results in execution of injected script content, enabling stored cross-site scripting (XSS)

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: igmp: convert struct ip_sf_list to RCU Commit 23d2b94043ca ("igmp: Add ip_mc_list lock in ip_check_mc_rcu") added spin_lock_bh(&im->lock) to ip_check_mc_rcu() to prevent a use-after-free while iterating im->sources during concurrent deletions. However, ip_check_mc_rcu() is called from RCU read-side critical sections in packet receive and route lookup fast paths (e.g. __mkroute_output(), ip_route_input_rcu(), and __udp4_lib_rcv()). When igmpv3_send_cr() or igmpv3_send_report() holds &pmc->lock and calls add_grec() -> igmpv3_newpack() -> ip_route_output_ports(), an XFRM policy matching a multicast destination triggers xfrm_tmpl_resolve_one() -> xfrm4_get_saddr() -> __mkroute_output() -> ip_check_mc_rcu(). This attempts to acquire &im->lock while &pmc->lock is already held on the same CPU, triggering a lockdep recursive locking warning / deadlock. Fix this by converting IPv4 struct ip_sf_list to RCU, mirroring the IPv6 implementation in net/ipv6/mcast.c: 1. Add struct rcu_head to struct ip_sf_list and annotate sf_next, sources, and tomb as __rcu pointers. 2. Use rcu_assign_pointer() and kfree_rcu() for list u

  • Sep 25, 2026In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: bpf: Preserve inner map identity in callback frames Callback frame constructors initializeCVE-2026-98033 · Computers, phones & browsers · Linux · reported by 416baaa9-dc9f-4396-8d5f-8c081fb06d67

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: bpf: Preserve inner map identity in callback frames Callback frame constructors initialize map-typed argument registers with __mark_reg_known_zero() and then restore map_ptr. This clears map_uid, which is the only field distinguishing inner maps that share an inner_map_meta template. When a timer callback invokes bpf_for_each_map_elem() on a second inner map, both the saved first map and the second map value can reach the nested callback as the same template with map_uid zero. bpf_timer_init() then accepts pairing the timer from the second map with the first map. The runtime records the first map in the timer without taking a reference. Freeing that map does not find the timer stored in the second map, so a later timer callback dereferences the freed map. Copy map_uid from the same caller register as map_ptr when constructing for-each, timer/workqueue, and task-work callback arguments. The existing identity check can then reject mismatched inner maps while allowing a callback value to be paired with its actual map.

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: reboot: fix cad_pid use-after-free race cad_pid is a single kernel-wide struct pid pointer. proc_do_cad_pid() reads it and passes it to pid_vnr() without protecting the lifetime of the referenced struct pid. A concurrent writer can replace cad_pid and drop the final reference to the old struct pid after the reader has loaded the pointer but before pid_vnr() has finished dereferencing it, causing a use-after-free. kill_cad_pid() has the same lifetime race when it passes cad_pid to kill_pid(). At the time this issue was reported, an unprivileged user could reach the sysctl through user and PID namespaces because cad_pid was registered in pid_table[]. Moving cad_pid back to the global reboot sysctl table corrected that namespace and permission mismatch, but did not fix the underlying lifetime race. Fix this by treating cad_pid as an RCU-protected pointer at both read sites and by waiting for a grace period before dropping the old reference on the write side. call_rcu(&old_pid->rcu, ...) cannot be used here because free_pid() also queues pid->rcu; queueing the same rcu_head twice can corrupt the RCU callback list

For non-CLONE_VM forks, copy_exec_state() allocates a new task_exec_state. If that allocation fails, copy_process() reaches bad_fork_free and free_task() calls ftrace_graph_exit_task(). Since the child still carries the parent's ret_stack pointer, the unwind frees the parent's active function graph return stack. The parent subsequently accesses freed memory from function_graph_enter_regs(). In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: mm/hugetlb: initialize gigantic bootmem hugepage struct pages earlier Gigantic bootmem HugeTLB pages are currently initialized from hugetlb_init(), but page_alloc_init_late() runs earlier and walks pageblocks to determine zone contiguity. If a bootmem HugeTLB region is marked noinit, set_zone_contiguous() can observe still-uninitialized struct pages through __pageblock_pfn_to_page(). This may not trigger an immediate failure, but it can make set_zone_contiguous() compute the wrong zone contiguity state. If extra poisoned-page checks are added in this path, such as PF_POISONED_CHECK() in page_zone_id(), it can also trigger an early boot panic. Initialize gigantic bootmem HugeTLB struct pages from page_alloc_init_late(), before zone contiguity is evaluated, so later page allocator setup only sees valid struct page state. This also makes the initialization order more natural, as struct pages should be initialized before later code inspects them.

Logto is the modern, open-source auth infrastructure for SaaS and AI apps. From 1.31.0 until 1.42.0, the Account API handlers in packages/core/src/routes/account/third-party-tokens.ts allow a caller holding a same-user access token with only the openid scope to retrieve stored social or enterprise SSO provider access tokens through GET /api/my-account/identities/{target}/access-token or GET /api/my-account/sso-identities/{connectorId}/access-token. The handlers authenticate the user but do not require the identities scope that protects neighboring identity-detail operations, bypassing the intended Account API consent boundary. Exploitation requires federated token-set storage to be enabled and the affected user to have authenticated through a supported connector. A low-trust application can use the disclosed provider token against upstream APIs within that token's granted scopes. This issue is fixed in version 1.42.0.

The findOrgImage method in MISP's OrgImgHelper constructs a filesystem path by concatenating a user-supplied organization identifier with a fixed image directory and a file extension, then calls file_exists() on the resulting path. The organization name field is attacker-controllable through event import, which sets Org.name. Because no validation was performed on the field value before path construction, an organization name containing directory traversal sequences (e.g., ../../etc/passwd) would cause the path to resolve outside the intended org-image directory.  This yields two security impacts:   - an arbitrary file existence oracle, since file_exists() returns a boolean for any path the process can access.  - an arbitrary file read limited to files with .png or .svg extensions, because the resolved filename is returned and subsequently rendered or served to the requesting user. The vulnerability requires an authenticated user with the ability to create or import events that set the organization name.
