Oct 6, 2026In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: wifi: mwifiex: validate scan response extents mwifiex_ret_802_11_scan() subtracts the fixeCVE-2026-98185 · Computers, phones & browsers · Linux · reported by 416baaa9-dc9f-4396-8d5f-8c081fb06d67
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: wifi: mwifiex: validate scan response extents mwifiex_ret_802_11_scan() subtracts the fixed response fields and the firmware-provided BSS length from resp->size without first proving that either extent fits. A short response or oversized BSS length can therefore underflow tlv_buf_size and make the TLV parser walk beyond the command response. Compute the fixed extent from the selected normal or background scan response. Validate that the fixed fields and BSS data fit before deriving the TLV extent and entering the parser.

Oct 5, 2026adm-zip is a JavaScript library for creating and extracting ZIP archives in Node.js.CVE-2026-102282 · Other software · cthackers · reported by GitHubHigh 7.1
adm-zip is a JavaScript library for creating and extracting ZIP archives in Node.js. Prior to 0.6.1, adm-zip applies the Unix permission bits stored in a zip entry directly to the extracted file via `fs.chmodSync()` when `keepOriginalPermission=true` is passed to `extractAllTo()`/`extractEntryTo()` — and it never filters the setuid/setgid/sticky bits out of those bits. A zip crafted by an attacker can therefore produce an extracted binary with mode `04755`. When extraction runs as root (the default posture in Docker builds, CI runners, and privileged install steps — the exact environments where this flag is used), the resulting root-owned setuid file is executed later by a lesser-privileged user, turning the attacker's code into a root execution. Version 0.6.1 fixes the issue.

The Unlimited Elements for Elementor WordPress plugin before 2.0.21 does not sanitise file paths inside uploaded archives before extracting them, allowing authenticated users with access to its asset-management feature (Administrators by default, or Editors when a non-default Unlimited Elements for Elementor WordPress plugin before 2.0.21 setting is enabled) to write arbitrary files, including executable PHP, outside the intended upload directory on servers where the PHP zip extension is unavailable, leading to Remote Code Execution.

Improper certificate validation in PkixNameConstraintValidator (ExtractHostFromURL) in Legion of the Bouncy Castle Inc. bc-csharp before 2.7.0 allows a name-constrained subordinate CA, or anyone able to obtain certificates with chosen subjectAltName URIs from such a CA, to bypass permitted or excluded uniformResourceIdentifier name constraints during certification path validation via a URI whose path, query, fragment or userinfo contains characters such as '@' or ':', because the host was extracted by string slicing without first isolating the RFC 3986 authority component, so the host compared against the constraints could differ from the URI's actual host.

Out-of-bounds Write (CWE-787) in the PEA archive extraction routine (pea.pas, unpea_procedure) of the first-party pea component in PeaZip 11.2.0 and earlier allows an attacker who convinces a victim to open or extract a crafted .pea archive to execute arbitrary code as the user running PeaZip. While decompressing a PCOMPRESS1 stream, the 32-bit compressed-block-size field of the first block (compsize) is read directly from the archive and used without validation as the length of a blockread into the fixed-size global buffers wbuf1/wbuf2 (1,114,112 bytes) and as the bound of the subsequent copy loop. The existing check "compsize > WBUFSIZE" is applied only to the size of each following block, so the first block escapes it; the same unvalidated value is also used to index wbuf1[compsize], an out-of-bounds read at an attacker-chosen offset. The copy loop additionally copies the requested length instead of the number of bytes actually read, and terminates on equality rather than on an upper bound. Because the project is built without range checking and no archive password, integrity tag or non-default configuration is required, the overflow overwrites adjacent global data; code executi

Sep 29, 2026In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: KVM: x86/mmu: Check write tracking in all address spaces kvm_gfn_is_write_tracked() checksCVE-2026-98164 · Computers, phones & browsers · Linux · reported by 416baaa9-dc9f-4396-8d5f-8c081fb06d67High 7.1
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: KVM: x86/mmu: Check write tracking in all address spaces kvm_gfn_is_write_tracked() checks only the supplied memslot, but page tracking is per-address-space and shadow pages are shared across all address spaces. With SMM, a GFN can therefore be write-tracked in one address space and appear untracked through the other. Check the supplied slot first, then the slot for the other address space. This ensures all callers honor write tracking regardless of the active address space. In particular, it prevents mmu_try_to_unsync_pages() from marking an upper-level shadow page unsync and eventually triggering the BUG in pte_list_remove(). Sep 28, 2026The decompress package for Node.js extracts archives.CVE-2026-101894 · Other software · XhmikosR · reported by GitHubCritical 9.1
The decompress package for Node.js extracts archives. Prior to 10.2.2 and 11.1.4, the default decompress(input, output) API relies on lexical containment checks that do not account for the kernel following a planted symlink chain. An attacker can supply a crafted archive containing chained symlink entries so that a later entry resolves outside the output directory. This allows files outside output to be read or written, and overwriting startup scripts or configuration can lead to remote code execution. The maintained @xhmikosr/decompress package is fixed in 10.2.2 and 11.1.4, but the separately affected unmaintained decompress package remains unpatched through 4.2.1. This vulnerability results from a bypass of the incomplete hardening for CVE-2026-53486. @xhmikosr/decompress is fixed in versions 10.2.2 and 11.1.4.

Where this comes from: the exploited list is CISA’s Known Exploited Vulnerabilities catalog. Everything else is the whole National Vulnerability Database, where each record is published by the team that found the bug (Wordfence, Patchstack, WPScan, the vendors themselves and others); we show who. Exploit odds are FIRST’s EPSS, updated daily. Titles and categories are ours, so check the linked record before acting on a detail. For a write-up of the big ones, see our advisories. Every vendor, and every WordPress plugin and theme with a recorded flaw, also has its own page. All of it is free to reuse as JSON, CSV or RSS.
