fastify-cli starts the Node.js Inspector when a debug flag is used, but it ignores the explicit bind address the user supplies and binds the Inspector to a broadly reachable address instead of the intended loopback. As a result the debugging interface can be exposed beyond the local machine, and because the Inspector protocol allows arbitrary code evaluation, a remote party that reaches it can achieve remote code execution on the developer's machine. This affects fastify-cli from 1.5.0 up to 8.0.1. Users should upgrade to fastify-cli 8.0.1, which honors the configured Inspector bind address.

league/commonmark versions >= 2.0.0 and < 2.8.4 (patched in 2.9.0) contain a denial of service vulnerability in UniqueSlugNormalizer::normalize(), which restarts its numeric-suffix search from 1 on every slug collision, resulting in O(K^2) time complexity for K headings that collapse to the same base slug. The vulnerable path is reached when HeadingPermalinkExtension, FootnoteExtension, or TableOfContentsExtension is registered. • Sep 7, 2026When using the Direct XIP update strategy, the main application image starts other cores (i.e.CVE-2026-14296 · Other software · Nordic Semiconductor ASA · reported by 30a5e7fb-040d-440a-8cdf-a4a2068ce72eHigh 7.5

When using the Direct XIP update strategy, the main application image starts other cores (i.e. radio core), based on the currently active slot without additional verification. The MCUboot in the bare (upstream) configuration assumes that if there is at least a single slot for each image available, the system is bootable and continues the boot process. This may lead to a situation when MCUboot picks different slot for different images (i.e. (a) for the main application and (b) for the radio image), boots the main application (from slot (a)) that afterwards starts the radio image by providing an address of the unauthenticated slot ((a) instead of (b)).

  • Sep 3, 2026In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: selinux: do not cancel a policy conversion that never started sel_write_load() calls selinCVE-2026-80756 · Computers, phones & browsers · Linux · reported by 416baaa9-dc9f-4396-8d5f-8c081fb06d67

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: selinux: do not cancel a policy conversion that never started sel_write_load() calls selinux_policy_cancel() when sel_make_policy_nodes() fails, and that helper dereferences the outgoing policy to cancel its sidtab conversion. On the first policy load there is no outgoing policy: security_load_policy() returns early for that case, before it converts anything, and state->policy is still NULL. A first load that fails while building the selinuxfs tree therefore takes a NULL dereference in selinux_policy_cancel(), reached from a write(2) to /sys/fs/selinux/load. Skip the cancel when there is no old policy, mirroring the check security_load_policy() already makes before it converts.

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: riscv/mm: use physical alignment for vmemmap_start_pfn RISC-V computes vmemmap_start_pfn by rounding phys_ram_base down to VMEMMAP_ADDR_ALIGN. That alignment must therefore be expressed in the physical-address domain. Commit 476849b0fba4 ("riscv/mm: align vmemmap to maximal folio size") attempted to account for the maximal folio alignment by feeding MAX_FOLIO_VMEMMAP_ALIGN directly into VMEMMAP_ADDR_ALIGN. However, MAX_FOLIO_VMEMMAP_ALIGN is measured in bytes of struct page storage, whereas VMEMMAP_ADDR_ALIGN is used to align a physical address. The mask-based compound_info encoding requires pfn_to_page(0) to be naturally aligned to MAX_FOLIO_VMEMMAP_ALIGN. Commit 9f94db4c7eaa ("mm/sparse: check memmap alignment for compound_info_has_mask()") added a check for that requirement and exposed the unit mismatch on systems such as QEMU virt, where the DRAM base is not aligned to MAX_FOLIO_NR_PAGES * PAGE_SIZE. Here is the log: [ 0.000000][ C0] ------------[ cut here ]------------ [ 0.000000][ C0] WARNING: mm/sparse.c:365 at sparse_init+0x58a/0x6fe, CPU#0: swapper/0 [ 0.000000][ C0] Modules linke

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: ntfs: fix u16 truncation of restart-area length check ntfs_check_restart_area() validates that the $LogFile restart area and its trailing log client record array fit within the system page size: u16 ra_ofs, ra_len, ca_ofs; ... ra_len = ca_ofs + le16_to_cpu(ra->log_clients) * sizeof(struct log_client_record); if (ra_ofs + ra_len > le32_to_cpu(rp->system_page_size) || ...) return false; ra_len is u16, but the right-hand side is computed in size_t (sizeof(struct log_client_record) == 160). Both ca_ofs and log_clients come straight from the on-disk restart area. With an on-disk log_clients of 410 the product 410 * 160 = 65600; adding ca_ofs and storing into the u16 ra_len truncates modulo 65536 (e.g. ca_ofs 64 gives ra_len 128), so the "fits in the page" check passes even though the client array described by log_clients extends far beyond the page. ntfs_check_log_client_array() then walks the array bounded only by the on-disk log_clients count: cr = ca + idx; if (cr->prev_client != LOGFILE_NO_CLIENT) ... For log_clients 410 i

  • Aug 27, 2026startServer.ts in the mcp-http-server package of UI-TARS-desktop defaulted its listen address to '::' when no host was given, so startSseAndStreamableHttpMcpSerCVE-2026-81735 · Other software · bytedance · reported by VulnCheckCritical 10

startServer.ts in the mcp-http-server package of UI-TARS-desktop defaulted its listen address to '::' when no host was given, so startSseAndStreamableHttpMcpServer bound the Streamable HTTP and SSE MCP transports to every interface, and its authentication middleware was optional: middlewares are applied only when a caller supplies them. The @agent-infra/mcp-server-commands and @agent-infra/mcp-server-filesystem entry points call startSseAndStreamableHttpMcpServer with a host and port alone and pass no middleware, so neither server required a credential. The commands server exposes a run_command tool that hands its caller-supplied command string to promisify(child_process.exec), so any unauthenticated client able to reach the port could run arbitrary commands as the user running the server, and the filesystem server exposed its file read and write tools on the same terms. The listen default became 127.0.0.1 in commit c2ad42e3eb9b27830db41a3e6f51ca7179d9b168; the package version stayed at 1.2.4 across that change, so the boundary is the commit rather than a release.

  • Aug 27, 2026tiger-gh-mcp-server started its MCP HTTP transport without enabling the host allow-list the underlying SDK provides.CVE-2026-81100 · Other software · timescale · reported by VulnCheckHigh 7.6

tiger-gh-mcp-server started its MCP HTTP transport without enabling the host allow-list the underlying SDK provides. src/httpServer.ts called the shared httpServerFactory helper and never set the DNS-rebinding-protection option, so the transport accepted a request whatever host it named, making the locally reachable GitHub MCP endpoint drivable from a page in a visitor's browser that pointed a name it controlled at the bound address. The fix passes the option explicitly alongside a dependency update; the update alone would not have closed it. The repository has published no release that brackets the fix, so the affected boundary is the commit preceding it.

A page in a browser could therefore point a name it controlled at the address the server was bound to and drive the locally reachable MCP server through the visitor's browser. The protection was already available in the packaged transport and simply not turned on, so updating the dependency alone would not have closed it. Version 0.5.1 passes the option explicitly.

  • Aug 26, 2026In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: libceph: fix OOB read in decode_watchers() via missing bounds check ceph_start_decoding() CVE-2026-80557 · Computers, phones & browsers · Linux · reported by 416baaa9-dc9f-4396-8d5f-8c081fb06d67Critical 9.8

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: libceph: fix OOB read in decode_watchers() via missing bounds check ceph_start_decoding() validates that struct_len bytes remain in the buffer after the encoding header, but accepts struct_len=0 as valid: ceph_decode_need(p, end, 0, bad) always passes. When a malicious or compromised OSD sends an obj_list_watch_response_t reply with struct_len=0, ceph_start_decoding() returns success with p == end, leaving zero bytes guaranteed for subsequent reads. The immediately following ceph_decode_32(p) in decode_watchers() has no preceding bounds check. With p == end this is a 4-byte read past the validated buffer boundary. The garbage value is then passed directly to kzalloc_objs() as the watcher count. The sibling function decode_watcher() already uses the safe variants (ceph_decode_copy_safe, ceph_decode_64_safe, ceph_decode_skip_32) after its own ceph_start_decoding() call. decode_watchers() is the only site that uses the bare variant, confirming an oversight. Fix by replacing ceph_decode_32(p) with ceph_decode_32_safe(p, end, *num_watchers, bad), consistent with the established pattern. Attacker model: a malicious

  • Aug 26, 2026Starlette-Admin is a fast, beautiful and extensible administrative interface framework for FastAPI and Starlette applications.CVE-2026-54553 · Other software · jowilf · reported by GitHubMedium 5.4

Starlette-Admin is a fast, beautiful and extensible administrative interface framework for FastAPI and Starlette applications. Prior to 0.16.1, the list API does not validate user-supplied order_by and structured where field names against the configured sortable_fields and searchable_fields allowlists. An authenticated user with access to an affected list endpoint can submit arbitrary field names to starlette_admin/base.py and the BaseModelView validation path, bypassing restrictions presented by the administrative user interface. Requests can sort or filter on fields that are not intended to be sortable or searchable, causing limited information exposure. Invalid field names and special Python attribute names such as metadata and the class dunder attribute can also trigger unhandled exceptions and HTTP 500 responses, causing limited denial of service for targeted requests. This issue is fixed in version 0.16.1.

  • Aug 26, 2026StarRocks performs no privilege check when a legacy synchronous materialized view is dropped.CVE-2026-80346 · Other software · StarRocks · reported by VulnCheckHigh 7.1

StarRocks performs no privilege check when a legacy synchronous materialized view is dropped. Every other statement type routed through AuthorizerStmtVisitor calls into Authorizer before execution, but visitDropMaterializedViewStatement returns immediately with a comment stating the check happens in execution logic. That holds only for asynchronous materialized views: LocalMetastore.dropMaterializedView calls Authorizer.checkMaterializedViewAction inside a branch taken when the resolved table is a MaterializedView. A legacy synchronous materialized view is stored as a rollup index on an OlapTable rather than a MaterializedView, so the other branch runs, reaching AlterJobMgr.processDropMaterializedView and MaterializedViewHandler, neither of which contains any Authorizer call. The former locates the target by scanning every OlapTable in the named database for a matching rollup index, and the latter validates only table state and name conflicts. Any authenticated account can therefore drop a legacy synchronous materialized view belonging to any database, holding no grant on the view, the base table or the database, and the drop is indistinguishable from an authorized one.
