  • Aug 18, 2026Forminator Forms: Arbitrary File UploadCVE-2026-15748 · WordPress plugins & themes · reported by WordfenceCritical 9.8

The Forminator Forms plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to Arbitrary File Upload in all versions up to, and including, 1.56.1 via the handle_file_upload function. This is due to insufficient file type validation in handle_file_upload, where the dangerous-extension blocklist performs exact-key matching that is bypassed by pipe-alternative MIME type keys, combined with a public submission handler that trusts attacker-controlled upload field configuration injected via a forged Select field value. This makes it possible for unauthenticated attackers to upload files that may be executable, which makes remote code execution possible.

  • Aug 16, 2026Podlove Podcast Publisher: Arbitrary file deletionCVE-2026-16099 · WordPress plugins & themes · reported by WordfenceHigh 8.8

The Podlove Podcast Publisher plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to arbitrary file deletion due to insufficient file path validation in the create_link_item function in all versions up to, and including, 4.5.3. This makes it possible for authenticated attackers, with contributor-level access and above, to delete arbitrary files on the server, which can easily lead to remote code execution when the right file is deleted (such as wp-config.php). A viable POP chain exists within the plugin itself via Podlove\ImageCache\GenerationGuard, whose __destruct() method invokes wp_delete_file() with an attacker-controlled file path populated through unserialization.

    Product
    Podlove Podcast Publisher

    What to do
Affects up to 4.5.3. Update Podlove Podcast Publisher to the newest version and check its changelog mentions this fix; if there isn’t one yet, deactivate it until there is.
  • Aug 16, 2026ProSolution WP Client: Arbitrary File UploadCVE-2026-16098 · WordPress plugins & themes · reported by WordfenceCritical 9.8

The ProSolution WP Client plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to Arbitrary File Upload in all versions up to, and including, 2.0.10 via the proSol_handleFileUpload function. This is due to missing validation of the attacker-controlled Content-Disposition header filename, which overrides the allow-listed multipart filename before the file is saved, and a post-save extension check that fails to delete the already-written file. This makes it possible for unauthenticated attackers to upload files that may be executable, which makes remote code execution possible. The nonce required to reach the upload handler is publicly exposed via wp_localize_script on any front-end page rendering the job portal shortcode, allowing unauthenticated visitors to obtain a valid nonce and bypass that gating check entirely.

    ProSolution WP Client
    Affected
    up to 2.0.10
    What to do
Affects up to 2.0.10. Update ProSolution WP Client to the newest version and check its changelog mentions this fix; if there isn’t one yet, deactivate it until there is.
  • Aug 16, 2026Advanced File Manager – Ultimate File Manager for WordPress And Document Library Solution: Stored Cross-Site ScriptingCVE-2026-15009 · WordPress plugins & themes · reported by WordfenceMedium 6.1

The Advanced File Manager – Ultimate File Manager for WordPress And Document Library Solution plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to Stored Cross-Site Scripting via the 'soundFile' parameter in all versions up to, and including, 5.4.12 due to insufficient input sanitization and output escaping. This makes it possible for unauthenticated attackers to inject arbitrary web scripts in pages that will execute whenever a user accesses an injected page. Exploitation requires the attacker to control a domain whose origin string is a leading prefix of the target site's backend URL (e.g. https://example.co against https://example.com), and the victim must be an authenticated WordPress administrator who visits the attacker-controlled page while the File Manager admin screen is open.

  • Aug 16, 2026ProSolution WP Client: Arbitrary file deletionCVE-2026-14524 · WordPress plugins & themes · reported by WordfenceCritical 9.1

The ProSolution WP Client plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to arbitrary file deletion due to insufficient file path validation in the proSol_fileDeleteProcess function in all versions up to, and including, 2.0.8. This makes it possible for unauthenticated attackers to delete arbitrary files on the server, which can easily lead to remote code execution when the right file is deleted (such as wp-config.php). An attacker must first call the proSol_fileUploadModalProcess handler to poison their own session with a path-traversal key, then call proSol_fileDeleteProcess with that key as the filename parameter; both steps require only the publicly exposed frontend nonce.

Affects up to 2.0.8. Update ProSolution WP Client to the newest version and check its changelog mentions this fix; if there isn’t one yet, deactivate it until there is.
  • Aug 15, 2026Link Library: Arbitrary file deletionCVE-2026-18855 · WordPress plugins & themes · reported by WordfenceCritical 9.1

The Link Library plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to arbitrary file deletion due to insufficient file path validation in the ll_delete_link_fields function in all versions up to, and including, 7.9.4 This makes it possible for unauthenticated attackers to delete arbitrary files on the server, which can easily lead to remote code execution when the right file is deleted (such as wp-config.php). Exploitation requires the administrator to have enabled the 'Delete local file on link deletion' plugin option (disabled by default) and to subsequently permanently delete the attacker-submitted link, which is a routine moderation action.

  • Aug 15, 2026Templately – Elementor & Gutenberg Template Library: 6500+ Free & Pro Ready Templates And Cloud!: Remote Code ExecutionCVE-2026-18438 · WordPress plugins & themes · reported by WordfenceHigh 8.8

The Templately – Elementor & Gutenberg Template Library: 6500+ Free & Pro Ready Templates And Cloud! plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to Remote Code Execution in all versions up to, and including, 3.7.1 via the fetch_remote_file function. This is due to a filename validation/destination mismatch in fetch_remote_file, where file type validation is performed against the attacker-controlled Content-Disposition filename rather than the URL-path-derived destination filename. This makes it possible for authenticated attackers, with contributor-level access and above, to execute code on the server. A GIF+PHP polyglot file passes wp_check_filetype_and_ext validation as image/gif via the Content-Disposition filename, while the actual destination path is written with a .php extension derived from the URL path, bypassing the unfiltered_upload capability gate entirely. The affected endpoints are reachable at this privilege level because Templately's entire REST API — including the cloud import endpoints used in this attack (/templately/v1/clouds/upload and /templately/v1/insert) — is authorized only by a current_user_can('delete_posts') check, with no administrator or manage_options capabili

  • Aug 14, 2026MaxUpload – Big File Uploads – Increase Maximum File Upload Size: Arbitrary File UploadCVE-2026-15965 · WordPress plugins & themes · reported by WordfenceHigh 8.8

The MaxUpload – Big File Uploads – Increase Maximum File Upload Size plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to Arbitrary File Upload in all versions up to, and including, 1.4.0 via the handle_upload function. This is due to a filename-validation mismatch in the handle_upload function where extension and MIME checks are applied to the uploaded chunk's filename but not to the final assembled filename derived from the resumableFilename parameter. This makes it possible for unauthenticated attackers to upload files that may be executable, which makes remote code execution possible.

  • Aug 14, 2026RapiSafe – Secure Multi File Upload for Contact Form 7: Arbitrary file deletionCVE-2026-14484 · WordPress plugins & themes · reported by WordfenceCritical 9.1

The RapiSafe – Secure Multi File Upload for Contact Form 7 plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to arbitrary file deletion due to insufficient file path validation in the handleAjaxRemoveUpload function in all versions up to, and including, 1.0.4. This makes it possible for unauthenticated attackers to delete arbitrary files on the server, which can easily lead to remote code execution when the right file is deleted (such as wp-config.php). • Aug 11, 2026GeoDirectory – WP Business Directory Plugin and Classified Listings Directory: Arbitrary file deletionCVE-2026-19091 · WordPress plugins & themes · reported by WordfenceHigh 8.1

The GeoDirectory – WP Business Directory Plugin and Classified Listings Directory plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to arbitrary file deletion due to insufficient file path validation in the delete_revision function in all versions up to, and including, 2.8.169. This makes it possible for authenticated attackers, with subscriber-level access and above, to delete arbitrary files on the server, which can easily lead to remote code execution when the right file is deleted (such as wp-config.php). By placing post_type=attachment exclusively in the query string to bypass the consistency check, an attacker can convert an auto-draft GeoDirectory listing into a WordPress attachment with attacker-controlled file paths injected into attachment metadata, which the delete_revision handler then dereferences and unlinks without any post-type or path validation.

  • Aug 6, 2026Events Manager: Does not perform any authorization check on a REST route that serves temporarily stored file uploadsCVE-2026-18050 · WordPress plugins & themes · reported by WPScanHigh 7.5

The Events Manager WordPress plugin before 7.4 does not perform any authorization check on a REST route that serves temporarily stored file uploads, allowing unauthenticated users to retrieve another user's in-progress upload when its temporary identifier is known. The identifier is high-entropy, is disclosed only to the uploader, and the file is removed on submission or by a scheduled cleanup, so a cross-user read is not achievable by guessing alone.

  • Aug 6, 2026File Manager: Arbitrary file deletionCVE-2026-15991 · WordPress plugins & themes · reported by WordfenceHigh 8.8

The File Manager plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to arbitrary file deletion due to insufficient file path validation in the connector function in all versions from 6.0 - 6.9. This makes it possible for authenticated attackers, with subscriber-level access and above, to read and delete arbitrary files on the server, which can lead to remote code execution when the right file is deleted (such as wp-config.php). The bypass is triggered by passing cmd=rm or cmf=file in the URL query string of a POST request: elFinder's bind registration reads the command exclusively from $_POST and therefore never registers the rm.pre permission handler, while the dispatcher reads from the merged $_GET+$_POST superglobal and executes the rm or file command unchecked against a volume that defaults to ABSPATH.

  • Aug 5, 2026Content Egg – Affiliate Product Importer & Price Comparison: Arbitrary File DeletionCVE-2026-15979 · WordPress plugins & themes · reported by WordfenceHigh 8.1

The Content Egg – Affiliate Product Importer & Price Comparison plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to Arbitrary File Deletion via Path Traversal in versions up to and including 11.3.0. This is due to insufficient validation of the 'img_file' field within the cegg_data post metadata: the value passes only through wp_strip_all_tags() (which does not strip path traversal sequences), is stored directly in post meta, and is later concatenated without normalization into a filesystem path in getFullImgPath() before being passed to PHP's unlink(). This makes it possible for authenticated attackers, with author-level access and above, to delete arbitrary files on the affected site's server which may make remote code execution possible.

The ShopLentor plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to arbitrary function execution via the woolentoropt/v1/custom-action REST API endpoint in all versions up to, and including, 3.3.7. This is due to the handle_action() method passing user-supplied input directly to call_user_func() without an allowlist of permitted callbacks. • Aug 5, 2026Multi Uploader for Gravity Forms: Unauthorized arbitrary media deletionCVE-2026-5581 · WordPress plugins & themes · reported by WordfenceCritical 9.1

The Multi Uploader for Gravity Forms plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to unauthorized arbitrary media deletion in all versions up to, and including, 1.1.8. This is due to missing capability checks in the `plupload_ajax_delete_file()` function, which is registered via `wp_ajax_nopriv_gfmu_delete_file`. The nonce intended for CSRF protection is exposed on any public-facing page containing a multi-uploader form field via the `GFMU_options` JavaScript object. This makes it possible for unauthenticated attackers to permanently delete any WordPress media attachment by supplying its attachment ID, potentially leading to complete media library destruction.

  • Aug 1, 2026Nex Forms – Ultimate Form Builder – Lite: Arbitrary file deletionCVE-2026-15450 · WordPress plugins & themes · reported by WordfenceHigh 8.1

The Nex Forms – Ultimate Form Builder – Lite plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to arbitrary file deletion via path traversal in versions up to, and including, 9.2.3. This is due to the delete_file() AJAX handler retrieving a file path from the database and passing it directly to unlink() with no validation (no realpath(), basename(), or allowlist check), combined with the insert_record() AJAX handler that lets the same authenticated user store an arbitrary value in the target 'location' column (wp_kses() only strips HTML tags and does not neutralize path traversal or absolute paths). This makes it possible for authenticated attackers, with admin-level access and above, to delete arbitrary files on the affected site's server, including wp-config. When the plugin's user-level option is configured to something else, this may be exploitable with lower privileges.

  • Aug 1, 2026FormGent: Unauthorized arbitrary file deletionCVE-2026-3141 · WordPress plugins & themes · reported by WordfenceCritical 9.1

The FormGent plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to unauthorized arbitrary file deletion due to a missing capability check on the /wp-json/formgent/responses/attachments REST API endpoint in all versions up to, and including, 1.9.2 This is due to the REST API route being registered without any authentication middleware in routes/rest/api.php. This makes it possible for unauthenticated attackers to delete arbitrary files within the formgent uploads directory. Additionally, on Linux servers where the wp-content/uploads/formgent directory does not yet exist (the default state after plugin installation), the path traversal protection can be bypassed, enabling deletion of arbitrary files including wp-config.php which can lead to complete site takeover via a fresh WordPress installation.

  • Jul 31, 2026Realtyna Organic IDX: Arbitrary File UploadCVE-2026-16236 · WordPress plugins & themes · reported by WordfenceHigh 8.8

The Realtyna Organic IDX plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to Arbitrary File Upload in versions up to, and including, 5.3.0. This is due to missing file extension and content validation in the saveLiveImages() function combined with an insufficient authorization check on the get_keys() AJAX handler and a missing authentication check on the REST API import endpoint. This makes it possible for authenticated attackers, with subscriber-level access and above, to upload arbitrary files on the affected site's server which may make remote code execution possible.

  • Jul 31, 2026Realtyna Organic IDX plugin + WPL Real Estate: Arbitrary File UploadCVE-2026-14483 · WordPress plugins & themes · reported by WordfenceCritical 9.8

The Realtyna Organic IDX plugin + WPL Real Estate plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to Arbitrary File Upload in all versions up to, and including, 5.2.0 via the upload function. This is due to missing file type validation in the upload function, combined with a publicly accessible I/O endpoint authenticated solely by static, plugin-seeded API credentials that are identical across all installations. This makes it possible for unauthenticated attackers to upload files that may be executable, which makes remote code execution possible. The WPL I/O service endpoint is registered on the public WordPress init hook with no WordPress capability check, and the required api_key and api_secret values are static defaults seeded by the plugin's own SQL migration files, meaning any unauthenticated attacker who knows these publicly documented defaults can reach and exploit the vulnerable upload path.

  • Jul 29, 2026Extra Checkout Options (addon for Extra Product Options & Add-Ons for WooCommerce): Arbitrary File UploadCVE-2026-14270 · WordPress plugins & themes · reported by WordfenceHigh 8.8

The Extra Checkout Options (addon for Extra Product Options & Add-Ons for WooCommerce) plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to Arbitrary File Upload in all versions up to, and including, 2.3.2. This is due to missing authorization and nonce validation in the eco_save_settings() function, which allows low-privileged authenticated users to modify the tc_eco_custom_file_types upload allowlist setting, combined with insufficient authorization on the wc_eco_upload_file AJAX action. This makes it possible for authenticated attackers, with Subscriber-level access and above, to allow PHP uploads, upload a PHP file using the frontend upload nonce exposed on cart and checkout pages, and achieve remote code execution. NOTE: This vulnerability was partially fixed in version 2.3.2.

  • Jul 29, 2026Easy Digital Downloads: Arbitrary File UploadCVE-2026-12476 · WordPress plugins & themes · reported by WordfenceHigh 7.2

The Easy Digital Downloads plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to Arbitrary File Upload in versions up to and including 3.6.9. This is due to insufficient file type validation in the edd_do_ajax_import_file_upload() function , which only checks the client-supplied $_FILES['edd-import-file']['type'] Content-Type header against an allow-list of CSV mime types, then uses raw move_uploaded_file() (bypassing wp_handle_upload()'s core MIME enforcement) to write the file under its original extension into the web-accessible wp-content/uploads/edd/exports/ directory. This makes it possible for authenticated attackers, with Shop Manager-level access and above, to upload arbitrary files on the affected site's server which may make remote code execution possible.

  • Jul 28, 2026SpeedyCache: Arbitrary File ReadCVE-2026-5114 · WordPress plugins & themes · reported by WordfenceMedium 4.9

The SpeedyCache plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to Arbitrary File Read via Path Traversal in all versions up to, and including, 1.3.8. This is due to a mismatch between CSS URL validation (which allows query strings like `.css?...`) and path resolution (which strips query strings), combined with no validation that the resolved file is actually a CSS file. This makes it possible for authenticated attackers, with Administrator-level access and above, to read arbitrary files from the server (including `wp-config.php` and `/etc/passwd`) by injecting crafted `<link>` tags into page content, with the file contents written to publicly accessible cache files.

  • Jul 28, 2026Better Messages – Chat Rooms, Group Chat, Private Messages & AI Chat Bots: Arbitrary file deletionCVE-2026-16585 · WordPress plugins & themes · reported by WordfenceHigh 7.2

The Better Messages – Chat Rooms, Group Chat, Private Messages & AI Chat Bots plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to arbitrary file deletion due to insufficient file path validation in the delete_sticker function in all versions up to, and including, 2.15.19. This makes it possible for authenticated attackers, with administrator-level access and above, to delete arbitrary files on the server, which can easily lead to remote code execution when the right file is deleted (such as wp-config.php). The prefix check intended to restrict deletion to the uploads directory can be bypassed by crafting a URL that begins with the legitimate uploads base URL but embeds ../ traversal sequences in the path portion, as the normalize_sticker function only applies esc_url_raw(), which does not strip ../ sequences, allowing the traversal payload to be stored verbatim in WordPress options.

  • Jul 28, 2026Demi – One Click Demo Import, WP Backup & Site Migration: Arbitrary Directory CopyCVE-2026-15012 · WordPress plugins & themes · reported by WordfenceMedium 5.3

The Demi – One Click Demo Import, WP Backup & Site Migration plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to Arbitrary Directory Copy in all versions up to, and including, 0.0.8 via the handle_restore_step function. This is due to missing HTTP access controls on the wp-content/uploads/demi-backup-state/ directory, which exposes the cryptographic restore key used to both authenticate the unauthenticated AJAX handler and forge signed restore-state envelopes. This makes it possible for unauthenticated attackers to copy arbitrary files to attacker-controlled destinations on the server. An active restore operation must have been initiated, which writes the .restore_key and .restore_step_token files to the public upload directory, before the exposed secrets can be harvested and chained to achieve unauthenticated arbitrary file copy.

  • Jul 28, 2026Demi – One Click Demo Import, WP Backup & Site Migration: Arbitrary Directory DeletionCVE-2026-14490 · WordPress plugins & themes · reported by WordfenceHigh 7.5

The Demi – One Click Demo Import, WP Backup & Site Migration plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to Arbitrary Directory Deletion in all versions up to, and including, 0.0.7. The vulnerability exists because the plugin stores its HMAC signing key and per-step restore token as dotfiles inside a publicly accessible subdirectory of the WordPress uploads folder — without any `.htaccess` or index file protection — and the `demi_restore_step` AJAX handler, registered for unauthenticated callers, explicitly accepts possession of the on-disk signing key as a standalone alternative to WordPress capability and nonce checks; an unauthenticated attacker who retrieves the exposed key can forge a valid signed state envelope to invoke `CleanDir::execute()` with a caller-supplied absolute path that is subject to no allow-list or path-canonicalization check. This makes it possible for unauthenticated attackers to recursively delete arbitrary directories on the server.
