Aug 30, 2026SiYuan before v3.8.1 does not apply the IsForbiddenAbsPath guard (introduced in GHSA-c8r8-95hg-mp34) to the /history/*path and /repo/diff/*path endpoints in kerCVE-2026-82651 · Other software · siyuan-note · reported by VulnCheckMedium 6.9
SiYuan before v3.8.1 does not apply the IsForbiddenAbsPath guard (introduced in GHSA-c8r8-95hg-mp34) to the /history/*path and /repo/diff/*path endpoints in kernel/server/serve.go. These routes require admin authentication but construct file paths independently, so an authenticated administrator can retrieve historical snapshots of sensitive files that the guard is meant to block, including data/.siyuan/publishAccess.json (plaintext publish-mode passwords) and files under data/templates/.

Aug 30, 2026SiYuan 3.8.0 contains a path traversal / sensitive file exposure vulnerability in the RenderTemplate function (kernel/model/template.go), reachable via the POSTCVE-2026-82650 · Other software · siyuan-note · reported by VulnCheckMedium 5.9
SiYuan 3.8.0 contains a path traversal / sensitive file exposure vulnerability in the RenderTemplate function (kernel/model/template.go), reachable via the POST /api/template/render endpoint (kernel/api/template.go). The endpoint restricts the supplied path only to the workspace directory (util.IsAbsPathInWorkspace) but, unlike the file API's refuseToAccess() blocklist, applies no sensitive-path exclusion. This allows an authenticated attacker to read sensitive workspace files, including conf/conf.json, which contains the API token and cookie signing key. The issue is fixed in v3.8.1.

Aug 30, 2026SiYuan Windows installer before version 3.8.1 (affected versions >= 2.0.14) contains an uncontrolled search path element vulnerability in its NSIS installer, whCVE-2026-82649 · Other software · siyuan-note · reported by VulnCheckHigh 7
SiYuan Windows installer before version 3.8.1 (affected versions >= 2.0.14) contains an uncontrolled search path element vulnerability in its NSIS installer, which invokes system executables such as TASKKILL by name rather than by absolute path. Because NSIS nsExec::Exec resolves these calls using a search path that includes the installer's own launch directory ahead of System32, an attacker who plants a malicious executable (e.g., a renamed TASKKILL.exe) in that directory can have it executed when the installer runs. These calls occur in electron-builder's preInit hook before the license page is displayed, and with an all-users (elevated) install the planted binary executes with an elevated token, resulting in local privilege escalation.

Aug 27, 2026Trilium is an open-source hierarchical note-taking application.CVE-2026-77438 · Other software · TriliumNext · reported by GitHubHigh 7.5
Trilium is an open-source hierarchical note-taking application. In versions up to and including 0.103.0, the public share-search endpoint does not enforce the per-note shareCredentials and shareHiddenFromTree controls, allowing an unauthenticated visitor to read the titles, tree paths, and content of protected shared notes. The endpoint authorizes only the ancestor note supplied in the request and then runs a full-text search across the entire published subtree, returning each matching note's title, share identifier, and hierarchical path without re-checking whether that individual note requires a share password or is hidden from the navigation tree. Because the search matches note content, an attacker can enumerate protected notes and use the endpoint as a boolean oracle that confirms arbitrary substrings, recovering the full contents of notes that should be gated behind a password. This issue is fixed in version 0.104.0.

Aug 27, 2026Trilium is an open-source hierarchical note-taking application.CVE-2026-53580 · Other software · TriliumNext · reported by GitHubHigh 8.1
Trilium is an open-source hierarchical note-taking application. In versions prior to 0.104.0, the automatic image-download feature accepts file:// URLs in a note's img tags and reads the referenced local file with no path validation, allowing any authenticated user to disclose arbitrary files readable by the Trilium process. When a text note is saved, Trilium scans its HTML for image sources and downloads each external one; because the HTML sanitizer keeps file as an allowed scheme, a source such as file:///etc/passwd is passed straight to a filesystem read and its contents are stored as a note attachment the user can then retrieve. Pointing the same primitive at an unbounded source such as /dev/zero causes uncontrolled memory allocation that crashes the server process. The feature is enabled by default and is reachable through the web UI, the ETAPI, the web clipper, and note imports, requiring only an authenticated session or an ETAPI token. This issue is fixed in version 0.104.0

Aug 27, 2026Trilium is an open-source hierarchical note-taking application.CVE-2026-53579 · Other software · TriliumNext · reported by GitHubCritical 9.3
Trilium is an open-source hierarchical note-taking application. In versions up to and including 0.103.0, the default-on "Safe import" filter sanitizes HTML only for text notes and excludes the book note type, whose content is stored without sanitization and later rendered as HTML, allowing an attacker-supplied import archive to embed a payload that executes as script. A book note's content is routed through the same rendering path as text notes and injected into the page with jQuery's html method when the note is shown as a grid-view preview card, so a malicious note survives Safe import and runs as soon as the victim opens the containing note. On the desktop client the Electron renderer runs with Node integration enabled, so the injected JavaScript escalates from cross-site scripting to full remote code execution on the victim's machine. This issue is fixed in version 0.104.0.

Aug 27, 2026Trilium is an open-source hierarchical note-taking application.CVE-2026-53578 · Other software · TriliumNext · reported by GitHubCritical 9.3
Trilium is an open-source hierarchical note-taking application. In versions up to and including 0.103.0, the default-on "Safe import" filter sanitizes HTML only for text notes and excludes the mindMap note type, whose JSON content is stored without sanitization, allowing an attacker-supplied import archive to embed a payload that renders as arbitrary HTML. A mind map node can carry a dangerouslySetInnerHTML property that the Mind Elixir library assigns directly to a node's innerHTML, so a malicious note survives Safe import and executes script as soon as the victim opens the imported mind map. On the desktop client the Electron renderer runs with Node integration enabled, so the injected JavaScript escalates from cross-site scripting to full remote code execution on the victim's machine. Aug 27, 2026Trilium is an open-source hierarchical note-taking application.CVE-2026-48996 · Other software · TriliumNext · reported by GitHubCritical 9.3
Trilium is an open-source hierarchical note-taking application. In versions up to and including 0.103.0, the default-on "Safe import" filter does not sanitize note titles, and the GeoMap note view interpolates a marker note's title into raw HTML that is rendered as innerHTML, allowing an attacker-supplied import archive to inject script that runs when the map is displayed. Because Safe import neutralizes scripts but never escapes titles, a note whose title contains an HTML event-handler payload survives the import and executes as soon as the victim opens the GeoMap that renders its marker. On the desktop client the Electron renderer runs with Node integration enabled, so the injected JavaScript escalates from cross-site scripting to full remote code execution on the victim's machine. This issue is fixed in version 0.104.0.

Aug 27, 2026Trilium is an open-source hierarchical note-taking application.CVE-2026-47727 · Other software · TriliumNext · reported by GitHubHigh 8.6
Trilium is an open-source hierarchical note-taking application. In versions prior to 0.104.0, the default-on "Safe import" filter fails to neutralize the shareTemplate relation because that relation is not marked as dangerous, allowing an attacker-supplied import archive to plant a server-side template that leads to remote code execution. The relation is omitted from the built-in list of dangerous attributes, so unlike other code-loading relations it is not disabled on import, and when the victim later publishes the imported note the public share renderer feeds the linked EJS code note's raw bytes into ejs.render, which compiles them in the server's Node process. An unauthenticated request to the shared note then executes the attacker's JavaScript with full access to require, process, the filesystem, and the network. This issue is fixed in version 0.104.0.

Aug 27, 2026Affected versions of Flowintel render Mermaid blocks contained in stored case notes without sufficiently neutralizing attacker-controlled markup.CVE-2026-81753 · Other software · flowintel · reported by 5a6e4751-2f3f-4070-9419-94fb35b644e8Medium 5.1
Affected versions of Flowintel render Mermaid blocks contained in stored case notes without sufficiently neutralizing attacker-controlled markup. Because Mermaid note content is persisted and later rendered for other users, an attacker with permission to create or edit a note could store a crafted Mermaid payload that results in JavaScript execution when another user views the affected case note. The patch adds explicit Mermaid detection and HTML escaping around the token content before the generated Mermaid wrapper is returned. It also moves the wrapping logic earlier in page initialization so Markdown instances are protected consistently. Version impacted >= 3.3.0

Aug 24, 2026RansomLook does not consistently enforce authorization checks when accessing groups, markets, and ransom notes marked as private.CVE-2026-78372 · Other software · ransomlook · reported by 5a6e4751-2f3f-4070-9419-94fb35b644e8Critical 9.2
RansomLook does not consistently enforce authorization checks when accessing groups, markets, and ransom notes marked as private. An unauthenticated or otherwise unauthorized remote attacker can access information associated with private entities through several web views and API endpoints. The affected functionality can disclose private group or market names, ransom-note content, and metadata associated with private groups. The /compare functionality can also be queried directly with the name of a private entity, allowing an unauthorized user to retrieve information such as post counts, mirror totals, and uptime even when the entity is excluded from the normal user interface. The patch explicitly adds a privacy check before returning this information. Ransom-note views, search results, and API endpoints were similarly missing consistent filtering. The fix introduces normalized private-group identifiers and alias handling, then rejects or filters notes associated with private groups before returning them to unauthorized callers. An attacker can exploit the issue remotely without authentication or user interaction, resulting in disclosure of information tha

Aug 19, 2026In Splunk SOAR versions below 8.6.0, a user who holds the "Incident Commander" Splunk SOAR role could store JavaScript in a note and run it in the browser of anCVE-2026-76367 · Other software · Splunk · reported by psirt@cisco.comMedium 4
In Splunk SOAR versions below 8.6.0, a user who holds the "Incident Commander" Splunk SOAR role could store JavaScript in a note and run it in the browser of another user when that user opens the note. The stored Cross-Site Scripting (XSS) vulnerability is possible because Splunk SOAR can treat existing note content as Hypertext Markup Language (HTML) without sanitizing that content when the note format changes. The vulnerability requires the attacker to phish the affected user by tricking them into initiating a request within their browser. The user who holds the "Incident Commander" Splunk SOAR role should not be able to exploit the vulnerability at will. Aug 19, 2026SiYuan before v3.7.4 contains a cross-site scripting vulnerability in the file-tree picker's hover-tooltip generation (app/src/util/pathName.ts, getLeaf()/movePCVE-2026-75917 · Other software · siyuan-note · reported by VulnCheckCritical 9.3
SiYuan before v3.7.4 contains a cross-site scripting vulnerability in the file-tree picker's hover-tooltip generation (app/src/util/pathName.ts, getLeaf()/movePathTo()) used by the 'move/link to' path-selection dialogs, where document metadata fields (bookmark, alias, memo, and an alternate name field) are concatenated into the aria-label HTML attribute without escaping. A document crafted with a double quote in any of these fields breaks out of the attribute context and injects arbitrary HTML attributes including inline event handlers (e.g., onmouseover). Because every SiYuan Electron BrowserWindow runs with nodeIntegration:true, contextIsolation:false, and no CSP, the injected handler gains require('child_process') access, escalating the XSS to arbitrary OS command execution when a victim merely hovers over the malicious document entry in the path-picker dialog. Malicious documents reach victims via sharing, sync, or import.

Aug 18, 2026SiYuan before v3.7.4 contains a server-side request forgery (SSRF) vulnerability in the isPrivateIP function in kernel/util/net.go, used by SSRFSafeDialer to enCVE-2026-74905 · Other software · siyuan-note · reported by VulnCheckMedium 6.9
SiYuan before v3.7.4 contains a server-side request forgery (SSRF) vulnerability in the isPrivateIP function in kernel/util/net.go, used by SSRFSafeDialer to enforce SSRF protection in SafeMode. The function only checks for loopback, link-local unicast, private, and unspecified addresses and does not recognize IPv6 transition addresses (NAT64 64:ff9b::/96, 6to4 2002::/16, Teredo 2001::/32) that embed private IPv4 destinations. When SafeMode is enabled, an authenticated attacker can bypass the SSRF guard via the network forward proxy, WebSocket proxy, or SSE proxy endpoints by supplying a URL whose hostname resolves to such a transition address, reaching internal services and cloud metadata endpoints (e.g., 169.254.169.254). Because the forward proxy returns the full response body, this is a full-read SSRF that can be used to steal instance credentials, reach internal services, and port-scan internal infrastructure.

Aug 18, 2026SiYuan before v3.7.4 is missing authorization checks in 17 block metadata/content endpoints in kernel/api/block.go (including getRefText, checkBlockExist, and gCVE-2026-74904 · Other software · siyuan-note · reported by VulnCheckHigh 8.7
SiYuan before v3.7.4 is missing authorization checks in 17 block metadata/content endpoints in kernel/api/block.go (including getRefText, checkBlockExist, and getBlockBreadcrumb). These handlers are gated only by basic authentication (model.CheckAuth) and lack publish-access filtering, allowing anonymous publish-mode readers to disclose private block content-derived text, structural metadata, and existence information for arbitrary block IDs across the workspace.

Aug 17, 2026Notepad++ is a free and open-source source code editor.CVE-2026-71858 · Other software · notepad-plus-plus · reported by GitHubMedium 5.4
Notepad++ is a free and open-source source code editor. Prior to 8.9.7, macros loaded from an attacker-controlled shortcuts.xml bypass the HMAC validation applied to UserDefinedCommands and can invoke Scintilla actions and the internal Open in Default Viewer command in an elevated Notepad++ process, allowing protected file modification and conditional elevated command execution when a local attacker influences settingsDir and a user triggers the macro. This issue is fixed in version 8.9.7.

Notepad++ is a free and open-source source code editor. Prior to 8.9.7, the expandNppEnvironmentStrs function in PowerEditor/src/WinControls/StaticDialog/RunDlg/RunDlg.cpp copies a Notepad++ variable name between $( and ) into the fixed-size wchar_t str[MAX_PATH] stack buffer without bounding the m loop index, allowing a name of 260 or more characters to corrupt adjacent stack data, terminate the process through __report_gsfailure, and potentially execute code. SiYuan versions before 3.7.4 contain an unthrottled brute-force vulnerability in the Publish Service Basic Auth implementation (PublishServiceTransport.RoundTrip() in kernel/server/proxy/publish.go). The Publish Service runs on a separate, unauthenticated-by-default listener (default TCP port 6808) and gates named publish-viewer accounts (Conf.Publish.Auth.Accounts) with Basic Auth that has no rate limiting, per-account lockout, or backoff. Unauthenticated remote attackers can submit unlimited password guesses against named accounts to gain access to published notes/notebooks.

Aug 17, 2026SiYuan kernel before v3.7.4 contains a path traversal vulnerability in the database_clean MCP tool.CVE-2026-74798 · Other software · siyuan-note · reported by VulnCheckCritical 9.3
SiYuan kernel before v3.7.4 contains a path traversal vulnerability in the database_clean MCP tool. The tool performs only an empty-string check on the id parameter before passing it to RemoveUnusedAttributeView (kernel/model/attribute_view.go), which builds a filesystem path via filepath.Join without validating that id matches SiYuan's node-ID format. An authenticated MCP client can supply path traversal sequences in id to cause the kernel to copy an arbitrary file readable by the process into SiYuan's history directory (arbitrary file read) and then delete the original file (arbitrary file deletion). The corresponding HTTP API handler was hardened in GHSA-7hm9-v7vf-7g4w, but this MCP caller was not.

Aug 16, 2026SiYuan kernel versions before 3.7.4 contain an improper restriction of excessive authentication attempts vulnerability in the CheckAuth() middleware.CVE-2026-73056 · Other software · siyuan-note · reported by VulnCheckCritical 9.3
SiYuan kernel versions before 3.7.4 contain an improper restriction of excessive authentication attempts vulnerability in the CheckAuth() middleware. The middleware accepts the API token (Conf.Api.Token) via an Authorization header (Token/Bearer) or a ?token= query parameter, and neither path is protected by the application's CAPTCHA/lockout mechanism (NeedCaptcha/WrongAuthCount). As a result, an unauthenticated remote attacker can perform unlimited automated guesses of the API token, particularly when a short or weak custom token has been configured, and upon success gains full RoleAdministrator access enabling arbitrary file operations and SQL queries.

Where this comes from: the exploited list is CISA’s Known Exploited Vulnerabilities catalog. Everything else is the whole National Vulnerability Database, where each record is published by the team that found the bug (Wordfence, Patchstack, WPScan, the vendors themselves and others); we show who. Exploit odds are FIRST’s EPSS, updated daily. Titles and categories are ours, so check the linked record before acting on a detail. For a write-up of the big ones, see our advisories.
