Jun 23, 2026n8n is an open source workflow automation platform.CVE-2026-54307 · Other software · n8n-io · reported by GitHubHigh 8.5
n8n is an open source workflow automation platform. Prior to 1.123.55, 2.25.7, and 2.26.2, a member-level user with editor access to a shared workflow could reference credentials they do not own via specific public API endpoints. Credential ownership checks were only enforced partially leading to cross-user credential access. This issue affects instances where workflow sharing is enabled and at least one workflow has been shared with a member-level user as an Editor. This vulnerability is fixed in 1.123.55, 2.25.7, and 2.26.2.

Jun 23, 2026n8n is an open source workflow automation platform.CVE-2026-54306 · Other software · n8n-io · reported by GitHubMedium 6.3
n8n is an open source workflow automation platform. Prior to 2.25.7 and 2.26.2, a prototype pollution vulnerability allowed a crafted public webhook payload to inject attacker-controlled fields into workflow data during internal object copying. These fields could be surfaced and consumed as normal values by downstream built-in nodes. Where a workflow combines a public webhook with action nodes that consume the resulting fields, an attacker could cause the workflow to act as a confused deputy — targeting unintended records or issuing outbound requests using the workflow owner's configured credentials. This vulnerability is fixed in 2.25.7 and 2.26.2.

Jun 23, 2026n8n is an open source workflow automation platform.CVE-2026-54305 · Other software · n8n-io · reported by GitHubHigh 8.9
n8n is an open source workflow automation platform. Prior to 1.123.55, 2.25.7, and 2.26.2, three EE endpoints used by the Dynamic Credentials feature accepted any authenticated n8n session without performing per-resource ownership or scope checks on the target workflow or credential. An authenticated user with no project membership or credential sharing relationship could enumerate credential identifiers, names, and types referenced by any private workflow in the instance, initiate an OAuth authorization flow against another user's credential to overwrite its stored tokens with tokens bound to an account they control, or revoke another user's stored credential tokens entirely. Workflows relying on a hijacked credential would subsequently execute under the attacker's OAuth identity, enabling data exfiltration to attacker-controlled external services and persistent takeover of integrations. Token revocation would break affected workflows. This vulnerability is fixed in 1.123.55, 2.25.7, and 2.26.2.

Jun 23, 2026n8n is an open source workflow automation platform.CVE-2026-54304 · Other software · n8n-io · reported by GitHubHigh 7.1
n8n is an open source workflow automation platform. Prior to 1.123.55, 2.25.7, and 2.26.1, an authenticated user with permission to create or modify workflows and access to a SecurityScorecard credential with limited allowed domains could configure the SecurityScorecard node's report download operation to target an attacker-controlled URL. The node attached the SecurityScorecard API token to the outbound request, causing the credential to be sent to the attacker-controlled host bypassing credential configured limitations and exfiltrating. This vulnerability is fixed in 1.123.55, 2.25.7, and 2.26.1.

n8n is an open source workflow automation platform. Prior to 1.123.55, 2.25.7, and 2.26.2, an authenticated user with workflow edit access could inject arbitrary JavaScript into the Chat Trigger's generated page by setting a malicious webhookId. When a logged-in user visited the chat URL, the injected code executed in the n8n origin with that user's session privileges. This vulnerability is fixed in 1.123.55, 2.25.7, and 2.26.2.

n8n is an open source workflow automation platform. Prior to 1.123.55, 2.25.7, and 2.26.2, an authenticated user with workflow edit access could configure a Respond to Webhook node to serve binary content with an attacker-controlled Content-Type. The binary response path bypassed the central Content-Security-Policy sandbox header, allowing a public webhook to execute JavaScript in the n8n origin when visited by an authenticated user, with access to that user's session. This vulnerability is fixed in 1.123.55, 2.25.7, and 2.26.2.

Jun 23, 2026n8n is an open source workflow automation platform.CVE-2026-49465 · Other software · n8n-io · reported by GitHubMedium 6
n8n is an open source workflow automation platform. Prior to 1.123.48, 2.21.8, and 2.22.4, an authenticated user with permission to create or modify workflows could supply a local filesystem path as the source repository in the Git node's Clone operation, or as the target repository in the Push operation, bypassing the N8N_RESTRICT_FILE_ACCESS_TO file sandbox. This allowed the contents of any local git repository accessible to the n8n process to be cloned into an allowed path and read, circumventing the access restrictions that correctly blocked direct file reads to the same paths. This vulnerability is fixed in 1.123.48, 2.21.8, and 2.22.4.

Jun 23, 2026n8n is an open source workflow automation platform.CVE-2026-45732 · Other software · n8n-io · reported by GitHubHigh 8.3
n8n is an open source workflow automation platform. Prior to 1.123.43, 2.22.1, and 2.20.7, the OAuth1 and OAuth2 credential reconnect endpoints authorized access using credential:read rather than credential:update. An authenticated user with read-only access to a shared credential could initiate an OAuth reconnect flow and overwrite the stored token material for that credential with tokens bound to an external account they control. Workflows relying on the affected credential would subsequently execute under the attacker's OAuth identity, enabling data exfiltration to attacker-controlled external services and persistent takeover of shared integrations. Jun 23, 2026n8n is an open source workflow automation platform.CVE-2026-44792 · Other software · n8n-io · reported by GitHubHigh 8.9
n8n is an open source workflow automation platform. Prior to 1.123.43, 2.22.1, and 2.20.7, an attacker with write access to the git repository connected to an n8n Source Control configuration could commit a malicious Data Table JSON file containing a crafted column name. When an administrator performed a Source Control Pull, n8n imported the file and could lead to SQL injection on the internal PostgreSQL instance. Exploitation requires the n8n instance uses PostgreSQL as its database backend, the Source Control feature is enabled and connected to a repository the attacker can write to, and an administrator triggers a Source Control Pull. This vulnerability is fixed in 1.123.43, 2.22.1, and 2.20.7.

Jun 23, 2026n8n is an open source workflow automation platform.CVE-2026-54311 · Other software · n8n-io · reported by GitHubMedium 6
n8n is an open source workflow automation platform. Prior to 2.25.7 and 2.26.2, an authenticated user with permission to create or modify workflows could pollute the sandbox used by the Merge node's SQL Query mode. Because the sandbox context was cached and reused across all workflow executions on the instance, prototype mutations introduced by one user's workflow persist into subsequent Merge SQL executions belonging to other users or projects. This allowed a low-privileged attacker to intercept workflow data processed by other users on the same instance. This issue only affects multi-user n8n instances where more than one user has permission to create and execute workflows containing the Merge node in SQL Query mode. This vulnerability is fixed in 2.25.7 and 2.26.2.

May 29, 2026n8n-MCP is an MCP server that provides AI assistants access to n8n node documentation, properties, and operations.CVE-2026-45707 · Other software · czlonkowski · reported by GitHubHigh 8.1
n8n-MCP is an MCP server that provides AI assistants access to n8n node documentation, properties, and operations. Prior to 2.51.2, when ENABLE_MULTI_TENANT=true, the HTTP transport documents that the target n8n instance is selected per-request from x-n8n-url / x-n8n-key headers. Requests that omitted those headers — or supplied only one of them — silently fell back to the process-level N8N_API_URL / N8N_API_KEY credentials configured for the operator's own n8n instance. As a result, an authenticated MCP tenant could cause n8n management calls to execute against the operator's instance instead of its own. This affects HTTP-mode deployments of n8n-mcp that are run as a shared multi-tenant service. Single-tenant deployments (ENABLE_MULTI_TENANT unset or false) are not affected. This vulnerability is fixed in 2.51.2.

n8n-MCP is an MCP server that provides AI assistants access to n8n node documentation, properties, and operations. Prior to 2.51.3, the workflow telemetry sanitizer could retain partial fragments of URL-shaped node parameters before sending workflow data to the project's anonymous telemetry backend. Values placed in HTTP-Request-style node parameters — such as customer or tenant identifiers, short secrets embedded in query strings, and signed request parameters — could therefore appear in stored telemetry, contrary to the collection boundary documented in PRIVACY.md. This vulnerability is fixed in 2.51.3.

May 8, 2026n8n-MCP is an MCP server that provides AI assistants access to n8n node documentation, properties, and operations.CVE-2026-42282 · Other software · czlonkowski · reported by GitHubMedium 4.3
n8n-MCP is an MCP server that provides AI assistants access to n8n node documentation, properties, and operations. Prior to version 2.47.13, when n8n-mcp runs in HTTP transport mode, authenticated MCP tools/call requests had their full arguments and JSON-RPC params written to server logs by the request dispatcher and several sibling code paths before any redaction. When a tool call carries credential material — most notably n8n_manage_credentials.data — the raw values can be persisted in logs. In deployments where logs are collected, forwarded to external systems, or viewable outside the request trust boundary (shared log storage, SIEM pipelines, support/ops access), this can result in disclosure of: bearer tokens and OAuth credentials sent through n8n_manage_credentials, per-tenant API keys and webhook auth headers embedded in tool arguments, arbitrary secret-bearing payloads passed to any MCP tool. The issue requires authentication (AUTH_TOKEN accepted by the server), so unauthenticated callers cannot trigger it; the runtime exposure is also reduced by an existing console-silencing layer in HTTP mode, but that layer is fragile and the values are still constructed and passed into

May 8, 2026n8n-MCP is an MCP server that provides AI assistants access to n8n node documentation, properties, and operations.CVE-2026-41495 · Other software · czlonkowski · reported by GitHubMedium 5.3
n8n-MCP is an MCP server that provides AI assistants access to n8n node documentation, properties, and operations. Prior to version 2.47.11, when n8n-mcp runs in HTTP transport mode, incoming requests to the POST /mcp endpoint had their request metadata written to server logs regardless of the authentication outcome. In deployments where logs are collected, forwarded to external systems, or viewable outside the request trust boundary (shared log storage, SIEM pipelines, support/ops access), this can result in disclosure of: bearer tokens from the Authorization header, per-tenant API keys from the, x-n8n-key header in multi-tenant setups, JSON-RPC request payloads sent to the MCP endpoint. Access control itself was not bypassed — unauthenticated requests were correctly rejected with 401 Unauthorized — but sensitive values from those rejected requests could still be persisted in logs. This issue has been patched in version 2.47.11.

May 7, 2026n8n-MCP is an MCP server that provides AI assistants access to n8n node documentation, properties, and operations.CVE-2026-42449 · Other software · czlonkowski · reported by GitHubHigh 8.5
n8n-MCP is an MCP server that provides AI assistants access to n8n node documentation, properties, and operations. In versions 2.47.4 through 2.47.13, the SDK embedder path (N8NDocumentationMCPServer constructor, getN8nApiClient(), and validateInstanceContext()), the synchronous URL validator in SSRFProtection.validateUrlSync() had no IPv6 checks. IPv4-mapped IPv6 addresses such as http://[::ffff:169.254.169.254] bypassed the cloud-metadata, localhost, and private-IP range checks. An attacker able to supply an n8nApiUrl value could cause the server to issue HTTP requests to cloud metadata endpoints, RFC1918 private networks, or localhost services. Response bodies are returned to the caller (non-blind SSRF), and the n8nApiKey is forwarded in the x-n8n-api-key header to the attacker-controlled target. Projects with deployments embedding n8n-mcp as an SDK using N8NDocumentationMCPServer or N8NMCPEngine with user-supplied InstanceContext are affected. The first-party HTTP server deployment was not primarily affected — it has a second async validator (validateWebhookUrl) that catches IPv6 addresses. This issue has been fixed in version 2.47.14. If users are unable to upgrade immediately

n8n is an open source workflow automation platform. Prior to versions 1.123.32, 2.17.4, and 2.18.1, a flaw in the xml2js library used to parse XML request bodies in n8n's webhook handler allowed prototype pollution via a crafted XML payload. An authenticated user with permission to create or modify workflows could exploit this to pollute the JavaScript object prototype and, by chaining the pollution with the Git node's SSH operations, achieve remote code execution on the n8n host. This issue has been patched in versions 1.123.32, 2.17.4, and 2.18.1.

May 4, 2026n8n is an open source workflow automation platform.CVE-2026-42230 · Other software · n8n-io · reported by GitHubMedium 5.1
n8n is an open source workflow automation platform. Prior to versions 1.123.32, 2.17.4, and 2.18.1, the /mcp-oauth/register endpoint accepted OAuth client registrations without authentication, allowing arbitrary redirect_uri values to be registered. When a user denies the MCP OAuth consent dialog, the handleDeny handler redirects the user to the registered redirect_uri without validation, enabling an open redirect to an attacker-controlled URL. An attacker can craft a phishing link and send it to a victim; if the victim clicks "Deny" on the consent page, they are silently redirected to an external site. This issue has been patched in versions 1.123.32, 2.17.4, and 2.18.1.

n8n is an open source workflow automation platform. Prior to versions 1.123.32, 2.17.4, and 2.18.1, a flaw in the SeaTable node's row:search and row:get operations allowed user-controlled input to be concatenated directly into SQL query strings without escaping or parameterization. In workflows where external user input is passed via expressions into the SeaTable node's search or row retrieval parameters, an attacker could manipulate the constructed query to retrieve unintended rows from the connected SeaTable base, bypassing row-level filtering logic implemented in the workflow. This issue has been patched in versions 1.123.32, 2.17.4, and 2.18.1.

n8n is an open source workflow automation platform. Prior to versions 1.123.32, 2.17.4, and 2.18.1, the /chat WebSocket endpoint used by the Chat Trigger node's Hosted Chat feature did not verify that an incoming connection was authorized to interact with the target execution. An unauthenticated remote attacker who could identify a valid execution ID for a workflow in a waiting state could attach to that execution, receive the pending prompt intended for the legitimate user, and submit arbitrary input to resume or influence downstream workflow behavior. This issue has been patched in versions 1.123.32, 2.17.4, and 2.18.1.

May 4, 2026n8n is an open source workflow automation platform.CVE-2026-42227 · Other software · n8n-io · reported by GitHubMedium 6
n8n is an open source workflow automation platform. Prior to versions 1.123.32, 2.17.4, and 2.18.1, an authenticated user with a valid API key scoped to variable:list could read variables from projects they are not a member of by supplying an arbitrary projectId query parameter to the public API variables endpoint. The handler queried the variables repository directly without enforcing project membership checks, bypassing the authorization-aware service layer used by the internal enterprise controller. If variables were misused to store sensitive information such as credentials or tokens, they should be rotated immediately. This issue only affects licensed enterprise or team deployments with multiple projects and the variables feature enabled. This issue has been patched in versions 1.123.32, 2.17.4, and 2.18.1.

May 4, 2026n8n is an open source workflow automation platform.CVE-2026-42226 · Other software · n8n-io · reported by GitHubHigh 7.1
n8n is an open source workflow automation platform. Prior to versions 1.123.33 and 2.17.5, the dynamic-node-parameters endpoints did not verify whether the authenticated caller was authorized to use a supplied credential reference. An authenticated user with access to a shared workflow could supply a foreign credential ID in the request body, causing the backend to decrypt and use that credential in a helper execution path where the caller also controls the destination URL. This allowed the caller to force the backend to authenticate against attacker-controlled infrastructure using a credential belonging to another user, effectively exfiltrating a reusable API key. The issue is not limited to any single node type; any node that resolves credentials dynamically through these endpoints may be affected. This issue has been patched in versions 1.123.33, 2.17.5, and 2.18.0.

n8n-MCP is a Model Context Protocol (MCP) server that provides AI assistants with comprehensive access to n8n node documentation, properties, and operations. Prior to 2.47.4, an authenticated Server-Side Request Forgery in n8n-mcp allows a caller holding a valid AUTH_TOKEN to cause the server to issue HTTP requests to arbitrary URLs supplied through multi-tenant HTTP headers. Response bodies are reflected back through JSON-RPC, so an attacker can read the contents of any URL the server can reach — including cloud instance metadata endpoints (AWS IMDS, GCP, Azure, Alibaba, Oracle), internal network services, and any other host the server process has network access to. The primary at-risk deployments are multi-tenant HTTP installations where more than one operator can present a valid AUTH_TOKEN, or where a token is shared with less-trusted clients. Single-tenant stdio deployments and HTTP deployments without multi-tenant headers are not affected. This vulnerability is fixed in 2.47.4.

n8n is an open source workflow automation platform. Prior to versions 1.123.27, 2.13.3, and 2.14.1, a flaw in the LDAP node's filter escape logic allowed LDAP metacharacters to pass through unescaped when user-controlled input was interpolated into LDAP search filters. In workflows where external user input is passed via expressions into the LDAP node's search parameters, an attacker could manipulate the constructed filter to retrieve unintended LDAP records or bypass authentication checks implemented in the workflow. Exploitation requires a specific workflow configuration. The LDAP node must be used with user-controlled input passed via expressions (e.g., from a form or webhook). The issue has been fixed in n8n versions 1.123.27, 2.13.3, and 2.14.1. Users should upgrade to one of these versions or later to remediate the vulnerability. If upgrading is not immediately possible, administrators should consider the following temporary mitigations: Limit workflow creation and editing permissions to fully trusted users only, disable the LDAP node by adding `n8n-nodes-base.ldap` to the `NODES_EXCLUDE` environment variable, and/or avoid passing unvalidated external user input into LDAP nod

n8n is an open source workflow automation platform. Prior to versions 1.123.27, 2.13.3, and 2.14.1, an authenticated user with permission to create or modify workflows could craft a workflow that produces an HTML binary data object without a filename. The `/rest/binary-data` endpoint served such responses inline on the n8n origin without `Content-Disposition` or `Content-Security-Policy` headers, allowing the HTML to render in the browser with full same-origin JavaScript access. By sending the resulting URL to a higher-privileged user, an attacker could execute JavaScript in the victim's authenticated session, enabling exfiltration of workflows and credentials, modification of workflows, or privilege escalation to admin. The issue has been fixed in n8n versions 1.123.27, 2.13.3, and 2.14.1. Users should upgrade to one of these versions or later to remediate the vulnerability. If upgrading is not immediately possible, administrators should consider the following temporary mitigations: Limit workflow creation and editing permissions to fully trusted users only, and/or restrict network access to the n8n instance to prevent untrusted users from accessing binary data URLs. Mar 25, 2026n8n is an open source workflow automation platform.CVE-2026-33724 · Other software · n8n-io · reported by GitHubMedium 6.3
n8n is an open source workflow automation platform. Prior to version 2.5.0, when the Source Control feature is configured to use SSH, the SSH command used for git operations explicitly disabled host key verification. A network attacker positioned between the n8n instance and the remote Git server could intercept the connection and present a fraudulent host key, potentially injecting malicious content into workflows or intercepting repository data. This issue only affects instances where the Source Control feature has been explicitly enabled and configured to use SSH (non-default). The issue has been fixed in n8n version 2.5.0. Users should upgrade to this version or later to remediate the vulnerability. If upgrading is not immediately possible, administrators should consider the following temporary mitigations: Disable the Source Control feature if it is not actively required, and/or restrict network access to ensure the n8n instance communicates with the Git server only over trusted, controlled network paths. These workarounds do not fully remediate the risk and should only be used as short-term mitigation measures.

n8n is an open source workflow automation platform. Prior to versions 2.6.4 and 1.123.23, an authenticated user without permission to list external secrets could reference a secret by the external name in a credential and retrieve its plaintext value when saving the credential. This bypassed the `externalSecret:list` permission check and allowed access to secrets stored in connected vaults without admin or owner privileges. This issue requires the instance to have an external secrets vault configured. The attacker must know or be able to guess the name of a target secret. The issue has been fixed in n8n versions 1.123.23 and 2.6.4. Users should upgrade to one of these versions or later to remediate the vulnerability. If upgrading is not immediately possible, administrators should consider the following temporary mitigations: Restrict n8n access to fully trusted users only, and/or disable external secrets integration until the patch can be applied. These workarounds do not fully remediate the risk and should only be used as short-term mitigation measures.

n8n is an open source workflow automation platform. Prior to version 2.8.0, when the `N8N_SKIP_AUTH_ON_OAUTH_CALLBACK` environment variable is set to `true`, the OAuth callback handler skips ownership verification of the OAuth state parameter. This allows an attacker to trick a victim into completing an OAuth flow against a credential object the attacker controls, causing the victim's OAuth tokens to be stored in the attacker's credential. The attacker can then use those tokens to execute workflows in their name. This issue only affects instances where `N8N_SKIP_AUTH_ON_OAUTH_CALLBACK=true` is explicitly configured (non-default). The issue has been fixed in n8n version 2.8.0. Users should upgrade to this version or later to remediate the vulnerability. If upgrading is not immediately possible, administrators should consider the following temporary mitigations: Avoid enabling `N8N_SKIP_AUTH_ON_OAUTH_CALLBACK=true` unless strictly required, and/ or restrict access to the n8n instance to fully trusted users only. These workarounds do not fully remediate the risk and should only be used as short-term mitigation measures.

n8n is an open source workflow automation platform. Prior to versions 2.14.1, 2.13.3, and 1.123.26, an authenticated user with permission to create or modify workflows could exploit a SQL injection vulnerability in the Data Table Get node. On default SQLite DB, single statements can be manipulated and the attack surface is practically limited. On PostgreSQL deployments, multi-statement execution is possible, enabling data modification and deletion. The issue has been fixed in n8n versions 1.123.26, 2.13.3, and 2.14.1. Users should upgrade to one of these versions or later to remediate the vulnerability. If upgrading is not immediately possible, administrators should consider the following temporary mitigations: Limit workflow creation and editing permissions to fully trusted users only, disable the Data Table node by adding `n8n-nodes-base.dataTable` to the `NODES_EXCLUDE` environment variable, and/or review existing workflows for Data Table Get nodes where `orderByColumn` is set to an expression that incorporates external or user-supplied input. These workarounds do not fully remediate the risk and should only be used as short-term mitigation measures.

n8n is an open source workflow automation platform. Prior to versions 2.4.0 and 1.121.0, when LDAP authentication is enabled, n8n automatically linked an LDAP identity to an existing local account if the LDAP email attribute matched the local account's email. An authenticated LDAP user who could control their own LDAP email attribute could set it to match another user's email — including an administrator's — and upon login gain full access to that account. The account linkage persisted even if the LDAP email was later reverted, resulting in a permanent account takeover. LDAP authentication must be configured and active (non-default). The issue has been fixed in n8n versions 2.4.0 and 1.121.0. Users should upgrade to one of these versions or later to remediate the vulnerability. If upgrading is not immediately possible, administrators should consider the following temporary mitigations: Disable LDAP authentication until the instance can be upgraded, restrict LDAP directory permissions so that users cannot modify their own email attributes, and/or audit existing LDAP-linked accounts for unexpected account associations. n8n is an open source workflow automation platform. Prior to versions 2.14.1, 2.13.3, and 1.123.27, an authenticated user with the `global:member` role could exploit chained authorization flaws in n8n's credential pipeline to steal plaintext secrets from generic HTTP credentials (`httpBasicAuth`, `httpHeaderAuth`, `httpQueryAuth`) belonging to other users on the same instance. The attack abuses a name-based credential resolution path that does not enforce ownership or project scope, combined with a bypass in the credentials permission checker that causes generic HTTP credential types to be skipped during pre-execution validation. Together, these flaws allow a member-role user to resolve another user's credential ID and execute a workflow that decrypts and uses that credential without authorization. Native integration credential types (e.g. `slackApi`, `openAiApi`, `postgres`) are not affected by this issue. This vulnerability affects Community Edition only. Enterprise Edition has additional permission gates on workflow creation and execution that independently block this attack chain. The issue has been fixed in n8n versions 1.123.27, 2.13.3, and 2.14.1. Users should upgrade to one
