  • Sep 8, 2026When guests are terminated, various pieces of cleanup need carrying out.CVE-2026-62437 · Other software · Xen · reported by security@xen.orgMedium 6.5

When guests are terminated, various pieces of cleanup need carrying out. The cleaning up of PCI devices which were assigned to guests, and the associated removal of tracking structures for IRQs used by the devices occurs relatively early in the process. Unfortunately after that point the guest about to be terminated could cause its device model (DM) to re-establish such tracking structures, by having it bind one or more IRQs anew. While some of those tracking structures would still be cleaned up later on, at least one would not be.

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: selinux: require every boolean value to be defined p_bools.nprim comes from the policy image independently of how many booleans follow it, and cond_index_bool() fills bool_val_to_struct[] at value - 1, so a count larger than the values present leaves NULL entries. Every user of that array then walks it by index and dereferences each entry: cond_evaluate_expr() on the access-vector path, security_get_bools() and security_get_bool_value() behind selinuxfs, and security_set_bools(). A sparse class value is absorbed by policydb_class_isvalid() and its siblings; booleans have no such predicate, and no consumer that could use one. Reject a boolean value that no boolean defines, once, where the array is built. Conforming policies define every boolean they declare and are unaffected.

  • Sep 4, 2026undici bundles a WebSocket client whose permessage-deflate size-limit cleanup removes all listeners from the internal zlib inflate stream, including its error lCVE-2026-85024 · Other software · undici · reported by ce714d77-add3-4f53-aff5-83d477b104bbMedium 5.9

undici bundles a WebSocket client whose permessage-deflate size-limit cleanup removes all listeners from the internal zlib inflate stream, including its error listener, while that stream can still emit. When a remote peer sends a compressed payload that crosses the built-in 128 MiB decompressed-payload limit and then contains a malformed DEFLATE byte, the inflate stream emits a data error with no listener attached, which Node.js treats as a fatal unhandled error and terminates the entire process. Exploitation is remote and unauthenticated, requires no application mistake, and is asymmetric, since roughly 130 KB on the wire expands past the limit and crashes the process, and reconnecting can repeat the crash. This affects undici versions from 6.25.0 up to 6.28.1, from 7.28.0 up to 7.29.1, and from 8.1.0 up to 8.10.2. Users should upgrade to undici 6.28.1, 7.29.1, or 8.10.2.

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: ALSA: usb-audio: Complete cleanup after system-resume errors A failed system resume can leave the card unusable until reboot. usb_audio_resume() jumps to err_out when snd_usb_pcm_resume() or snd_usb_mixer_resume() fails. The error path skips the out: block, which restores D0 and decrements chip->num_suspended_intf. The card stays in SNDRV_CTL_POWER_D3hot, so later control access blocks in snd_power_ref_and_wait(). USB core logs an interface resume callback error. It does not retry that callback, so a later callback cannot complete the skipped cleanup. usb_audio_suspend() increments num_suspended_intf before returning success. A system-resume callback must consume the system-suspend count even if a component resume fails. Otherwise, the stranded count skews later suspend and resume cycles. Do not apply this cleanup to runtime-resume errors. Runtime PM can retry -EAGAIN or -EBUSY without another suspend callback. The count must continue to describe that suspended interface. Other runtime-resume errors latch runtime_error in the PM core and do not cause an immediate callback retry. Both parts of the system-resum

  • Sep 4, 2026In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: nfc: pn533: purge fragmented skbs during cleanup pn53x_common_clean() purges resp_q beforeCVE-2026-80797 · Computers, phones & browsers · Linux · reported by 416baaa9-dc9f-4396-8d5f-8c081fb06d67

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: nfc: pn533: purge fragmented skbs during cleanup pn53x_common_clean() purges resp_q before freeing the common PN533 state, but it leaves fragment_skb untouched. The fragmentation helpers queue transmit fragments there while sending large initiator or target-mode frames, and those skbs remain owned by the driver until they are sent or discarded. If the device is removed while fragments are still queued, the common cleanup path frees the PN533 state without releasing the queued fragment skbs, leaking them. Purge fragment_skb during cleanup alongside resp_q.

  • Sep 4, 2026fastify versions before 5.12.2 decide whether to compile a request schema based on JavaScript truthiness, but JSON Schema Draft 7 defines the boolean false as aCVE-2026-84469 · Other software · fastify · reported by ce714d77-add3-4f53-aff5-83d477b104bbHigh 7.5

fastify versions before 5.12.2 decide whether to compile a request schema based on JavaScript truthiness, but JSON Schema Draft 7 defines the boolean false as a valid schema that rejects every instance. When an application assigns false to a route's body, querystring, params, or headers schema to deny all input, fastify treats it as a missing schema, compiles no validator, and runs the route handler on any request. An unauthenticated remote client can therefore reach a handler that a valid deny-all schema was intended to make unreachable, a complete validation bypass that can lead to unauthorized state changes or execution of disabled operations. Users should upgrade to fastify 5.12.2 or later.

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: char: tlclk: fix use-after-free in tlclk_cleanup() This patch improves the module cleanup process in the tlclk driver to prevent potential use-after-free and race conditions. Currently, the file_operations structure does not specify the .owner field, which could allow the module to be unloaded while user-space processes are still interacting with the device. Additionally, the tlclk_cleanup() function frees the alarm_events memory before ensuring that blocked processes in the waitqueue are fully awakened and that the switchover_timer has completed. To address these cases, this patch: - Sets '.owner = THIS_MODULE' in tlclk_fops to safely defer module unloading while the device is in use. - Updates tlclk_cleanup() to explicitly wake up all blocked readers (wake_up_all), properly release hardware I/O regions, and safely delete the timer (timer_delete_sync) prior to freeing memory.

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: s390/vfio_ccw: Move cp cleanup out of not operational The fsm_notoper() routine is called when the device has been lost, and is (by definition) no longer operational. Since this can happen asynchronously from the normal behavior of the driver, the cleanup may happen when holding other locks in the calling sequence (notably, the cio subchannel lock). Push the cleanup of the private->cp resources to a workqueue, where it can be done out from under that lock sequence and a future patch can safely manage the locking requirements.

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: ovpn: finish crypto callback cleanup before peer release Crypto completion callbacks hold both key-slot and peer references. The peer reference pins the netdev, and dropping the last peer reference can let netdev unregistration and module removal make progress. Do not release that peer reference before the callback has finished its own cleanup. If ovpn_crypto_key_slot_put runs after ovpn_peer_put, it can schedule an RCU callback backed by module text after ovpn_cleanup rcu_barrier has already run. The TX error path also freed the remaining skb after ovpn_peer_put, leaving callback cleanup outside the peer/netdev lifetime window. Release the key slot and free any remaining skb first, then drop the peer reference as the last callback action.

  • Aug 24, 2026The Lean 4 kernel does not check that the body of an opaque declaration is closed.CVE-2026-72711 · Other software · leanprover · reported by VulnCheckMedium 6.8

The Lean 4 kernel does not check that the body of an opaque declaration is closed. environment::add_opaque omits the check_no_metavar_no_fvar call that the definition and theorem paths perform, so a value containing a free variable that is absent from the local context is not rejected outright. A metaprogram can first cause the kernel to create a temporary local of type False and record its type in the type checker's inference cache, then restore the local context while that cache entry persists on the same type checker instance, and finally submit an opaque declaration whose value is the now-unbound variable. The cache lookup answers before the branch that would test membership of the local context, so the kernel infers the cached type and admits an opaque constant of type False, from which any proposition follows. The declaration is accepted through the ordinary checked path at maximum kernel checking, without sorry, unsafeCast, debug.skipKernelTC, addDeclWithoutChecking, foreign code or a modified .olean file, and the result carries no axioms. Fixed in 4.32.2 by adding the missing closure check.

Most custom-policy issues do not affect the default sanitize=True configuration; they primarily affect helper APIs, programmatic DOM construction, html_passthrough=True, and custom policies/transform pipelines.

  • Aug 21, 2026Defuddle cleans up HTML pages.CVE-2026-61824 · Other software · kepano · reported by GitHubHigh 8.2

Defuddle cleans up HTML pages. Prior to 0.19.1, site extractors interpolate page-derived image alt and src values, og:image values, and video descriptions into HTML strings without context-appropriate escaping, and buildExtractorResponse() returns this contentHtml without the main pipeline's DOM-based sanitization. The affected paths include src/extractors/x-article.ts, src/extractors/substack.ts, and src/extractors/youtube.ts. A malicious page or attacker-controlled content on a matching domain can inject event-handler attributes or javascript URLs that execute when a victim or downstream application renders the extracted HTML. This issue is fixed in version 0.19.1.

The Lean 4 kernel does not verify that the structure named in a projection expression matches the type of the value being projected, and environment::add_inductive in src/kernel/inductive.cpp did not type check the nested inductive applications that are replaced by auxiliary types, so their parametric arguments escaped checking. A metaprogram running in the Lean process can register an ill-typed nested inductive whose constructor applies a .proj C 0 projection to a value of the unrelated type W, and the kernel admits the declaration through the ordinary checked addDecl path at maximum kernel checking, without sorry, unsafeCast, debug.skipKernelTC, addDeclWithoutChecking, FFI, or a modified .olean file. The result is a type confusion yielding a proof of False that carries no axioms, from which any proposition can be derived. The published proof of concept additionally pads two expressions until their hashes and approximate depths collide, which defeats kernel caching; that is the technique used to reach the flaw, not its cause. Exploitation requires running a metaprogram in-process, for example by building a project or importing a malicious Lake dependency.

Leantime JSON-RPC API through version 3.9.0 contains a missing authorization vulnerability in the JSON-RPC dispatcher in app/Domain/Api/Controllers/Jsonrpc.php. The dispatcher does not enforce authorization before invoking service-layer methods, allowing an authenticated user to call methods or act on resources outside their intended permissions. For example, the editOwn method accepts a user-supplied user ID without verifying that it belongs to the caller, allowing an attacker to modify another user's account and set a new password, resulting in account takeover. This vulnerability is distinct from CVE-2026-59712 and CVE-2026-15509 because the root cause is the lack of centralized authorization enforcement in the JSON-RPC dispatcher rather than the behavior of an individual exposed method.

SiYuan kernel before v3.7.4 contains a path traversal vulnerability in the database_clean MCP tool. The tool performs only an empty-string check on the id parameter before passing it to RemoveUnusedAttributeView (kernel/model/attribute_view.go), which builds a filesystem path via filepath.Join without validating that id matches SiYuan's node-ID format. An authenticated MCP client can supply path traversal sequences in id to cause the kernel to copy an arbitrary file readable by the process into SiYuan's history directory (arbitrary file read) and then delete the original file (arbitrary file deletion). The corresponding HTTP API handler was hardened in GHSA-7hm9-v7vf-7g4w, but this MCP caller was not.

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: dmaengine: idxd: fix fdev setup failure cleanup in idxd_cdev_open() The failed_dev_add and failed_dev_name paths drop the file-device reference while wq->wq_lock is still held. If put_device(fdev) drops the last reference, idxd_file_dev_release() runs synchronously and tries to take wq->wq_lock again, deadlocking. Those paths also fall through into the later ctx cleanup labels even though idxd_file_dev_release() owns that cleanup and frees ctx. This can make idxd_xa_pasid_remove(ctx) and kfree(ctx) operate on a freed context. Move idxd_wq_get() before file-device setup can fail, since the release callback always calls idxd_wq_put(). Then unlock wq->wq_lock before put_device(fdev) and return directly from the file-device setup failure path, leaving ctx cleanup to the release callback.

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: wifi: ath12k: fix out-of-bounds clear_bit in ath12k_mac_dp_peer_cleanup() ath12k_mac_dp_peer_cleanup() clears the ML peer ID slot on the free_ml_peer_id_map bitmap by indexing it with dp_peer->peer_id. That is wrong: dp_peer->peer_id for an MLO peer always carries the ATH12K_PEER_ML_ID_VALID bit (BIT(13)), so clear_bit() is invoked with index >= 0x2000, which is far outside the bitmap of ATH12K_MAX_MLO_PEERS (256) bits and corrupts memory adjacent to ah->free_ml_peer_id_map. The intended bitmap entry also never gets cleared, so subsequent ath12k_peer_ml_alloc() calls eventually run out of IDs. The ID without the VALID bit is what ath12k_peer_ml_alloc() returned and is stored in ahsta->ml_peer_id. Use that instead. While there, also reset ahsta->ml_peer_id to ATH12K_MLO_PEER_ID_INVALID so the bitmap and ahsta->ml_peer_id stay in sync. • Aug 15, 2026In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: igbvf: Fix leak in TX DMA error cleanup If an error is encountered while mapping TX bufferCVE-2026-74495 · Computers, phones & browsers · Linux · reported by 416baaa9-dc9f-4396-8d5f-8c081fb06d67Critical 9.8

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: igbvf: Fix leak in TX DMA error cleanup If an error is encountered while mapping TX buffers, the driver should unmap any buffers already mapped for that skb. Because count is incremented before each frag mapping, it will always match the correct number of unmappings needed when dma_error is reached. Decrementing count before the while loop in dma_error causes an off-by-one error. If any mapping was successful before an unsuccessful mapping, exactly one DMA mapping (the head) would leak. This bug was introduced by a 2010 fix for an endless loop in dma_error. All other affected drivers have already been fixed.

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: RDMA/mlx5: Fix UMR XLT cleanup on ODP populate failure mlx5r_umr_update_xlt() allocates and DMA maps an XLT buffer with mlx5r_umr_create_xlt(). The buffer is released by the common cleanup path through mlx5r_umr_unmap_free_xlt(). After mlx5_odp_populate_xlt() became fallible, its error path returned directly and skipped that cleanup. This leaks the XLT DMA mapping and buffer. If the emergency XLT page was used, it also leaves xlt_emergency_page_mutex locked. Break out of the loop so execution falls through the existing cleanup path.

  • Aug 15, 2026In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: net: Stop leased rxq before uninstalling its memory provider netif_rxq_cleanup_unlease() tCVE-2026-74285 · Computers, phones & browsers · Linux · reported by 416baaa9-dc9f-4396-8d5f-8c081fb06d67High 8.8

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: net: Stop leased rxq before uninstalling its memory provider netif_rxq_cleanup_unlease() tears down the memory provider that was installed on a physical RX queue through a netkit queue lease. It currently revokes the provider's DMA mappings before stopping the physical queue: __netif_mp_uninstall_rxq(virt_rxq, p); /* DMA unmap */ __netif_mp_close_rxq(phys_rxq->dev, rxq_idx, p); /* queue stop */ This inverts the ordering used by the regular teardown paths (normal device unregister and the io_uring zcrx close path), which stop the queue before revoking the provider's mappings. With the physical queue still live, its NAPI can keep consuming net_iov entries from the page_pool alloc cache after the __netif_mp_uninstall_rxq() has already cleared their dma_addr, opening a window for the device to DMA to a stale or zero address. Fix it by swapping the two calls so the queue is stopped (and its NAPI quiesced) before the provider is uninstalled. No functional regression was observed across repeated runs of the nk_qlease.py HW selftest, which exercises the lease teardown path; this was tested against fbn

  • Aug 15, 2026In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: drm/amdkfd: fix list_del corruption in kfd_criu_resume_svm The cleanup tail of kfd_criu_reCVE-2026-72449 · Computers, phones & browsers · Linux · reported by 416baaa9-dc9f-4396-8d5f-8c081fb06d67High 7.8

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: drm/amdkfd: fix list_del corruption in kfd_criu_resume_svm The cleanup tail of kfd_criu_resume_svm() walks svms->criu_svm_metadata_list and kfree()s each struct criu_svm_metadata without removing it from the list. The list head is left pointing at freed kmalloc-96 objects. A second AMDKFD_IOC_CRIU_OP from the same process re-enters: list_empty() reads the dangling ->next (use-after-free), the loop walks freed entries, and each is kfree()'d again (double-free). This is reachable by an unprivileged render-group user via /dev/kfd with no capabilities required. Add list_del() before the kfree() so the list is properly emptied. The list_for_each_entry_safe() iterator already caches the next pointer, so unlinking during the walk is safe. (cherry picked from commit 6322d278a298e2c1430b9d2697743d3a04b788b1)
