  • Jul 30, 2026Kamaji is the Hosted Control Plane Manager for Kubernetes.CVE-2026-62246 · Other software · clastix · reported by GitHubHigh 8.5

Kamaji is the Hosted Control Plane Manager for Kubernetes. Prior to 26.7.4-edge, Kamaji derives a TenantControlPlane datastore schema, database user, and etcd key prefix from a lossy namespace-and-name normalization in GetDefaultDatastoreSchema() and GetDefaultDatastoreUsername(), allowing distinct tenants with colliding normalized identifiers to share control-plane state and read, modify, or destroy another tenant's Kubernetes data. This issue is fixed in version 26.7.4-edge.

Capsule is a multi-tenancy and policy-based framework for Kubernetes. From 0.13.0 until 0.13.8, after the incomplete CVE-2026-22872 fix, TenantResource RawItems and Generators in internal/controllers/resources/collect.go, including handleRawItem and handleGeneratorItem, did not apply the ResourceReference.LoadResources and IsNamespacedGVK cluster-scoped resource rejection guard used by NamespacedItems, allowing a Tenant Owner to create cluster-scoped resources such as ClusterRole or ValidatingWebhookConfiguration through the cluster-admin controller client. This issue is fixed in version 0.13.8.

Capsule is a multi-tenancy and policy-based framework for Kubernetes. Prior to 0.13.8, CapsuleConfiguration.Spec.NodeMetadata.ForbiddenLabels.Regex and CapsuleConfiguration.Spec.NodeMetadata.ForbiddenAnnotations.Regex were not validated by the configuration admission webhook, allowing a Cluster Admin to store a malformed regex that later reached regexp.MustCompile in pkg/api/forbidden_list.go through internal/webhook/node/user_metadata.go and crashed the node admission webhook on Node create, update, or patch requests. Logging operator automates the deployment and configuration of Kubernetes logging pipelines. Prior to 6.6.0, the Fluentd configuration renderer FluentRender in pkg/sdk/logging/model/render/fluent.go writes CRD strings such as Flow record_transformer.records values directly into fluent.conf without escaping, allowing a user who can create Flow resources to inject a Fluentd <match **> block using @type exec and execute arbitrary commands inside the Fluentd aggregator. Kong Operator's embedded Kong Kubernetes Ingress Controller (KIC) allows a user with namespace-scoped Secret creation privileges to cause a cluster-wide ingress configuration denial of service. The embedded KIC collects CA-certificate Secrets across all watched namespaces using a label selector alone, without ingress-class or namespace restrictions. The CA-certificate primary key is derived from a user-supplied field in the Secret. Duplicate CA-certificate IDs cause Kong Gateway to reject the entire configuration document and halting all ingress changes cluster-wide.

  • Jul 22, 2026Traefik versions 3.7.0 through 3.7.6 contain a namespace confusion vulnerability in the Kubernetes Gateway API provider.CVE-2026-65601 · Other software · traefik · reported by VulnCheckMedium 5.3

Traefik versions 3.7.0 through 3.7.6 contain a namespace confusion vulnerability in the Kubernetes Gateway API provider. When resolving HTTPRoute.spec.rules[].backendRefs[].filters[].extensionRef, Traefik used the backend Service namespace instead of the HTTPRoute namespace. A low-privileged route author holding a ReferenceGrant for a cross-namespace Service could therefore bind a Traefik Middleware from the backend namespace without a separate grant for that middleware, potentially injecting trusted reverse-proxy identity headers into downstream requests. • Jul 21, 2026Kubeflow Community Distribution helps users to install Kubeflow Platform in popular Kubernetes clusters.CVE-2026-47237 · Other software · kubeflow · reported by GitHubHigh 8

Kubeflow Community Distribution helps users to install Kubeflow Platform in popular Kubernetes clusters. Prior to version 26.03-rc.1, a Kubeflow setup based on the official manifests or most other packaged Kubeflow distributions is vulnerable to authorization token stealing from any user of the Kubeflow UI or APIs, such as the Dashboard, Pipelines API, or Notebooks. With this token, the attacker can take over the user's account and the data that is processed by that user. The attacker needs a valid user with the ``kubeflow-edit`` role / Contributor role in a random Kubeflow namespace to perform this attack. This is given if _Automatic Profile Creation_ is enabled. Version 26.03-rc.1 fixes the issue.

  • Jul 16, 2026Jupyter Enterprise Gateway launches remote Jupyter Notebook kernels across distributed clusters like Apache Spark, Kubernetes, and Docker Swarm.CVE-2026-44182 · Other software · jupyter-server · reported by GitHubCritical 10

Jupyter Enterprise Gateway launches remote Jupyter Notebook kernels across distributed clusters like Apache Spark, Kubernetes, and Docker Swarm. In versions prior to 3.3.0, the server interpolates untrusted environment variables (e.g., KERNEL_XXX) into Kubernetes manifests without YAML-aware escaping, enabling YAML injection attacks. Attackers can inject new fields, overwrite critical fields (e.g., duplicate securityContext keys, where the last one prevails), and inject document boundaries (--- for new documents, ... for end-of-document) to generate multiple resources, potentially creating arbitrary types, such as privileged pods. The Jinja2 template for the Kubernetes manifest contains several kernel_xxx variables, such as kernel_working_dir that are used when rendering the manifest and are all vectors for YAML injection. This issue has been fixed in version 3.3.0.

  • Jul 16, 2026Jupyter Enterprise Gateway launches remote Jupyter Notebook kernels across distributed clusters like Apache Spark, Kubernetes, and Docker Swarm.CVE-2026-44181 · Other software · jupyter-server · reported by GitHubCritical 10

Jupyter Enterprise Gateway launches remote Jupyter Notebook kernels across distributed clusters like Apache Spark, Kubernetes, and Docker Swarm. In versions 2.0.0rc2 and above, prior to 3.3.0, the environment variables (KERNEL_XXX) used during the rendering of the Kubernetes manifest are vulnerable to Server Side Template Injection (SSTI). By including Jinja2 template expressions it is possible to execution Python code and OS Commands in the Enterprise Gateway service. The code can use or steal the Kubernetes service account token, which can steal Kubernetes secrets and be used to fully compromise the Kubernetes cluster by scheduling a privileged pod or a pod with a hostPath volume mount. This issue has been fixed in version 3.3.0.

  • Jul 16, 2026Jupyter Enterprise Gateway launches remote Jupyter Notebook kernels across distributed clusters like Apache Spark, Kubernetes, and Docker Swarm.CVE-2026-44180 · Other software · jupyter-server · reported by GitHubCritical 9.8

Jupyter Enterprise Gateway launches remote Jupyter Notebook kernels across distributed clusters like Apache Spark, Kubernetes, and Docker Swarm. Versions 2.0.0rc1 and above prior to 3.3.0 have a prohibited UID and GID feature that by default prevents launching kernels with UID or GID 0 (root), and this restriction can be bypassed using a specially crafted KERNEL_UID or KERNEL_GID value. This input validation vulnerability allows running Jupyter kernels as root, which can be dangerous as it allows more attack surface, and may lead to container escapes, compromising the worker node and all workloads running on it. Repeated exploitation can compromise all worker nodes, and thus the entire Kubernetes cluster. It is possible to specify volume mounts, so one vector for a container escape is to use a hostPath R/W volume mount, use this UID/GID bypass to run as root, and then gain code execution in the underlying worker node by creating a crontab entry in the mounted host file system. This issue has been fixed in version 3.0.0.

  • Jul 16, 2026Argo Workflows is an open source container-native workflow engine for orchestrating parallel jobs on Kubernetes.CVE-2026-54526 · Other software · argoproj · reported by GitHubHigh 8.9

Argo Workflows is an open source container-native workflow engine for orchestrating parallel jobs on Kubernetes. Prior to 3.7.15 and 4.0.6, the allow-list fix for CVE-2026-31892 is incomplete because workflow/util/merge.go ValidateUserOverrides and SanitizeUserWorkflowSpec walk only the top-level fields of WorkflowSpec via reflection, and WorkflowSpec.ArtifactGC is allow-listed wholesale; the struct behind that field, WorkflowLevelArtifactGC, has a PodSpecPatch sub-field whose contents flow unmodified into util.ApplyPodSpecPatch on the artifact-GC pod, the same sink the original fix closed for WorkflowSpec.PodSpecPatch, so a user submitting a Workflow under templateReferencing: Strict or Secure (against a referenced WorkflowTemplate that declares an output artifact and setting spec.artifactGC.strategy: OnWorkflowCompletion) can still inject an arbitrary strategic merge patch into the artifact-GC pod, including hostPath volumes, privileged: true, arbitrary image and command, and hostNetwork: true, defeating the stated purpose of Strict/Secure reference mode. Tilt defines dev environments as code for microservice apps on Kubernetes. From 0.24.0 through 0.37.3, the Tilt HUD WebSocket at /ws/view is gated by a CSRF token, but the token is served by the unauthenticated /api/websocket_token endpoint and the upgrader accepts clients that omit an Origin header. When the HUD is network-exposed, an attacker who can reach the listener can open the HUD WebSocket and receive the full view stream, including session state, Tiltfile contents, resource statuses, and continued updates. • Jun 15, 2026MultiJuicer is used to run separate Juice Shop instances on a central kubernetes cluster without the need for local instances.CVE-2026-48518 · Other software · juice-shop · reported by GitHubMedium 4.3

MultiJuicer is used to run separate Juice Shop instances on a central kubernetes cluster without the need for local instances. In versions 8.0.0 through 10.0.0, the team join endpoint (POST /multi-juicer/api/teams/{team}/join) accepted requests with any Content-Type, including text/plain. Because that content type does not trigger a CORS preflight, an attacker could host a cross-site HTML form that auto-submits to the endpoint and forces a victim's browser to log in as the attacker's team. A successful, undetected attacker can cause victims to unwittingly solve Juice Shop challenges under the attacker's team identity. In a CTF context this lets the attacker inflate their team's score using other players' activity, and any sensitive data the victim enters into "their" Juice Shop ends up in the attacker's instance. The vulnerability is exploitable without any prior authentication; the victim only needs to visit a page the attacker controls while having network access to the MultiJuicer deployment. SameSite=Strict on the session cookie does not mitigate this, because the attack plants a new cookie rather than relying on an existing one. This issue was fixed in version 10.0.1.

  • Jun 11, 2026mcp-server-kubernetes is a Model Context Protocol server for Kubernetes cluster management.CVE-2026-47250 · Other software · Flux159 · reported by GitHubMedium 6.1

mcp-server-kubernetes is a Model Context Protocol server for Kubernetes cluster management. Prior to version 3.7.0, the kubectl_generic tool in mcp-server-kubernetes passes user-supplied flags directly to kubectl without any allowlist, enabling a privilege escalation attack within Kubernetes environments. An attacker who already has limited cluster or codebase access, for example, a developer with pod-deployment permissions but not cluster-admin credentials, can plant a single structured JSON line in an application's log output. When an operator with a privileged kubeconfig uses the MCP server to read those logs and their AI agent follows the injected instruction, kubectl_generic is called with --server=https://attacker.example.com and --insecure-skip-tls-verify=true. kubectl sends all API requests, including the Authorization: Bearer <token> header from the operator's kubeconfig to the attacker's endpoint. The captured token can then be replayed directly against the real Kubernetes API server, granting the attacker the full RBAC permissions of the operator's service account. This issue has been patched in version 3.7.0.

Prior to version 3.6.0, mcp-server-kubernetes exposes three environment variables (ALLOW_ONLY_READONLY_TOOLS, ALLOW_ONLY_NON_DESTRUCTIVE_TOOLS, ALLOWED_TOOLS) documented as access controls for restricting which Kubernetes operations are available. • Jun 10, 2026Fission is an open-source, Kubernetes-native serverless framework that simplifies the deployment of functions and applications on Kubernetes.CVE-2026-50570 · Other software · fission · reported by GitHubHigh 8.5

Fission is an open-source, Kubernetes-native serverless framework that simplifies the deployment of functions and applications on Kubernetes. Prior to version 1.25.0, Fission added PodSpec safety validation for tenant-facing Environment and Function CRDs (ValidatePodSpecSafety / ValidateContainerSafety admission webhook + sanitizeContainerSecurityContext executor merge layer), but the capability check was implemented as a fixed denylist of six Linux capabilities (SYS_ADMIN, NET_ADMIN, SYS_PTRACE, SYS_MODULE, DAC_READ_SEARCH, DAC_OVERRIDE). The denylist omitted CAP_SYS_TIME, among others. As a result, a tenant who could create a Function or Environment CRD could request securityContext.capabilities.add: ["SYS_TIME"], pass Fission's admission validation and merge-layer sanitization, and run attacker-controlled code with CAP_SYS_TIME in the resulting function or runtime container. This issue has been patched in version 1.25.0.

Prior to version 1.25.0, HTTPTriggerSpec.Validate() validated Methods, FunctionReference, Host, IngressConfig, and CorsConfig, but silently skipped RelativeURL and Prefix. Those two fields were validated at the CLI level only (pkg/fission-cli/cmd/httptrigger/create.go:83). The post-CRD-modernization webhook for HTTPTrigger was retired in favor of API-server CEL — and CEL had no rules on those fields either — so an HTTPTrigger created via kubectl apply or a direct Kubernetes REST API call bypassed every URL-level check. Fission is an open-source, Kubernetes-native serverless framework that simplifies the deployment of functions and applications on Kubernetes. Prior to version 1.25.0, SanitizeFilePath in pkg/utils/utils.go validated that a path stayed under a safe directory by calling strings.HasPrefix(path, safedir). This is a lexical check, not a directory boundary check: /packages-extra/evil starts with /packages, so it passed. The function did not enforce a path-separator boundary, so any sibling directory whose name began with the safe-directory string was accepted. Callers included the builder's Clean handler (pkg/builder/builder.go:208) and the fetcher's Fetch / Upload handlers (pkg/fetcher/fetcher.go). A tenant who could pre-create or control a sibling directory under the fetcher / builder's shared volume could induce a write or read outside the intended safe directory. Fission is an open-source, Kubernetes-native serverless framework that simplifies the deployment of functions and applications on Kubernetes. Prior to version 1.25.0, Unarchive in pkg/utils/zip.go joined each archive entry name with the destination directory via filepath.Join and wrote the result without checking whether the resolved path stayed under the destination. A zip entry named ../../tmp/evil therefore landed at /tmp/evil. An attacker who could control a Package.Spec.Source.URL or Deployment.URL archive could induce the fetcher (running as the per-environment pod's fission-fetcher sidecar) to write files anywhere that process could reach: into other tenants' /packages/<ns>/ directories, into mounted secret/config volumes, or into the fetcher's own binary.
