In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: fs: ntfs3: check return value of indx_find to avoid infinite loop We found an infinite loop bug in the ntfs3 file system that can lead to a Denial-of-Service (DoS) condition. A malformed dentry in the ntfs3 filesystem can cause the kernel to hang during the lookup operations. By setting the HAS_SUB_NODE flag in an INDEX_ENTRY within a directory's INDEX_ALLOCATION block and manipulating the VCN pointer, an attacker can cause the indx_find() function to repeatedly read the same block, allocating 4 KB of memory each time. The kernel lacks VCN loop detection and depth limits, causing memory exhaustion and an OOM crash. This patch adds a return value check for fnd_push() to prevent a memory exhaustion vulnerability caused by infinite loops. When the index exceeds the size of the fnd->nodes array, fnd_push() returns -EINVAL. The indx_find() function checks this return value and stops processing, preventing further memory allocation.

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: crypto: iaa - Fix out-of-bounds index in find_empty_iaa_compression_mode The local variable 'i' is initialized with -EINVAL, but the for loop immediately overwrites it and -EINVAL is never returned. If no empty compression mode can be found, the function would return the out-of-bounds index IAA_COMP_MODES_MAX, which would cause an invalid array access in add_iaa_compression_mode(). Fix both issues by returning either a valid index or -EINVAL.

  • Jan 27, 2026Issue summary: If an application using the SSL_CIPHER_find() function in a QUIC protocol client or server receives an unknown cipher suite from the peer, a NULLCVE-2025-15468 · Websites & servers · OpenSSL · reported by openssl-security@openssl.orgMedium 5.9

Issue summary: If an application using the SSL_CIPHER_find() function in a QUIC protocol client or server receives an unknown cipher suite from the peer, a NULL dereference occurs. Impact summary: A NULL pointer dereference leads to abnormal termination of the running process causing Denial of Service. Some applications call SSL_CIPHER_find() from the client_hello_cb callback on the cipher ID received from the peer. If this is done with an SSL object implementing the QUIC protocol, NULL pointer dereference will happen if the examined cipher ID is unknown or unsupported. As it is not very common to call this function in applications using the QUIC protocol and the worst outcome is Denial of Service, the issue was assessed as Low severity. The vulnerable code was introduced in the 3.2 version with the addition of the QUIC protocol support. The FIPS modules in 3.6, 3.5, 3.4 and 3.3 are not affected by this issue, as the QUIC implementation is outside the OpenSSL FIPS module boundary. OpenSSL 3.6, 3.5, 3.4 and 3.3 are vulnerable to this issue. OpenSSL 3.0, 1.1.1 and 1.0.2 are not affected by this issue.

  • Jan 13, 2026In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: ocfs2: fix kernel BUG in ocfs2_find_victim_chain syzbot reported a kernel BUG in ocfs2_finCVE-2025-68771 · Computers, phones & browsers · Linux · reported by 416baaa9-dc9f-4396-8d5f-8c081fb06d67

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: ocfs2: fix kernel BUG in ocfs2_find_victim_chain syzbot reported a kernel BUG in ocfs2_find_victim_chain() because the `cl_next_free_rec` field of the allocation chain list (next free slot in the chain list) is 0, triggring the BUG_ON(!cl->cl_next_free_rec) condition in ocfs2_find_victim_chain() and panicking the kernel. To fix this, an if condition is introduced in ocfs2_claim_suballoc_bits(), just before calling ocfs2_find_victim_chain(), the code block in it being executed when either of the following conditions is true: 1. `cl_next_free_rec` is equal to 0, indicating that there are no free chains in the allocation chain list 2. `cl_next_free_rec` is greater than `cl_count` (the total number of chains in the allocation chain list) Either of them being true is indicative of the fact that there are no chains left for usage. This is addressed using ocfs2_error(), which prints the error log for debugging purposes, rather than panicking the kernel.

However, if the OPP table is using required-opps then it may already have been added to the global lazy_opp_tables list. The error path does not remove the opp_table from the list again. This can cause crashes later when the provider of the required-opps is added, since we will iterate over OPP tables that have already been freed. E.g.: Unable to handle kernel NULL pointer dereference when read CPU: 0 PID: 7 Comm: kworker/0:0 Not tainted 6.4.0-rc3 PC is at _of_add_opp_table_v2 (include/linux/of.h:949 drivers/opp/of.c:98 drivers/opp/of.c:344 drivers/opp/of.c:404 drivers/opp/of.c:1032) -> lazy_link_required_opp_table() Fix this by calling _of_clear_opp_table() to remove the opp_table from the list and clear other allocated resources. While at it, also add the missing mutex_destroy() calls in the error path.

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: net: openvswitch: reject negative ifindex Recent changes in net-next (commit 759ab1edb56c ("net: store netdevs in an xarray")) refactored the handling of pre-assigned ifindexes and let syzbot surface a latent problem in ovs. ovs does not validate ifindex, making it possible to create netdev ports with negative ifindex values. It's easy to repro with YNL: $ ./cli.py --spec netlink/specs/ovs_datapath.yaml \ --do new \ --json '{"upcall-pid": 1, "name":"my-dp"}' $ ./cli.py --spec netlink/specs/ovs_vport.yaml \ --do new \ --json '{"upcall-pid": "00000001", "name": "some-port0", "dp-ifindex":3,"ifindex":4294901760,"type":2}' $ ip link show -65536: some-port0: <BROADCAST,MULTICAST> mtu 1500 qdisc noop state DOWN mode DEFAULT group default qlen 1000 link/ether 7a:48:21:ad:0b:fb brd ff:ff:ff:ff:ff:ff ... • Nov 27, 2025FindAll Membership: Authentication BypassCVE-2025-13539 · WordPress plugins & themes · reported by WordfenceCritical 9.8

The FindAll Membership plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to Authentication Bypass in all versions up to, and including, 1.0.4. This is due to the plugin not properly logging in a user with the data that was previously verified through the 'findall_membership_check_facebook_user' and the 'findall_membership_check_google_user' functions. This makes it possible for unauthenticated attackers to log in as administrative users, as long as they have an existing account on the site which can easily be created by default through the temp user functionality, and access to the administrative user's email.

The FindAll Listing plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to Privilege Escalation in all versions up to, and including, 1.0.5. This is due to the 'findall_listing_user_registration_additional_params' function not restricting what user roles a user can register with. This makes it possible for unauthenticated attackers to supply the 'administrator' role during registration and gain administrator access to the site. Note: The vulnerability can only be exploited if the FindAll Membership plugin is also activated, because user registration is in that plugin.
