In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: PCI: endpoint: pci-epf-test: Make use of cached 'epc_features' in pci_epf_test_core_init() Instead of getting the epc_features from pci_epc_get_features() API, use the cached pci_epf_test::epc_features value to avoid the NULL check. Since the NULL check is already performed in pci_epf_test_bind(), having one more check in pci_epf_test_core_init() is redundant and it is not possible to hit the NULL pointer dereference. Also with commit a01e7214bef9 ("PCI: endpoint: Remove "core_init_notifier" flag"), 'epc_features' got dereferenced without the NULL check, leading to the following false positive Smatch warning: drivers/pci/endpoint/functions/pci-epf-test.c:784 pci_epf_test_core_init() error: we previously assumed 'epc_features' could be null (see line 747) Thus, remove the redundant NULL check and also use the epc_features:: {msix_capable/msi_capable} flags directly to avoid local variables. A vulnerability in the content scanning and message filtering features of Cisco Secure Email Gateway could allow an unauthenticated, remote attacker to overwrite arbitrary files on the underlying operating system. This vulnerability is due to improper handling of email attachments when file analysis and content filters are enabled. An attacker could exploit this vulnerability by sending an email that contains a crafted attachment through an affected device. A successful exploit could allow the attacker to replace any file on the underlying file system. The attacker could then perform any of the following actions: add users with root privileges, modify the device configuration, execute arbitrary code, or cause a permanent denial of service (DoS) condition on the affected device. Note: Manual intervention is required to recover from the DoS condition. Customers are advised to contact the Cisco Technical Assistance Center (TAC) to help recover a device in this condition.

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: net: enetc: deny offload of tc-based TSN features on VF interfaces TSN features on the ENETC (taprio, cbs, gate, police) are configured through a mix of command BD ring messages and port registers: enetc_port_rd(), enetc_port_wr(). Port registers are a region of the ENETC memory map which are only accessible from the PCIe Physical Function. They are not accessible from the Virtual Functions. yt-dlp is a youtube-dl fork with additional features and fixes. The patch that addressed CVE-2023-40581 attempted to prevent RCE when using `--exec` with `%q` by replacing double quotes with two double quotes. However, this escaping is not sufficient, and still allows expansion of environment variables. Support for output template expansion in `--exec`, along with this vulnerable behavior, was added to `yt-dlp` in version 2021.04.11. yt-dlp version 2024.04.09 fixes this issue by properly escaping `%`. It replaces them with `%%cd:~,%`, a variable that expands to nothing, leaving only the leading percent. It is recommended to upgrade yt-dlp to version 2024.04.09 as soon as possible. Also, always be careful when using `--exec`, because while this specific vulnerability has been patched, using unvalidated input in shell commands is inherently dangerous. For Windows users who are not able to upgrade, avoid using any output template expansion in `--exec` other than `{}` (filepath); if expansion in `--exec` is needed, verify the fields you are using do not contain `"`, `|` or `&`; and/or instead of using `--exec`, write the info json and load the fields from it instead.
