  • Aug 12, 2026@cedar-policy/authorization-for-expressjs is an open-source Express.js middleware that integrates Cedar authorization into Express applications by mapping HTTP CVE-2026-49473 · Other software · cedar-policy · reported by GitHubHigh 8.8

@cedar-policy/authorization-for-expressjs is an open-source Express.js middleware that integrates Cedar authorization into Express applications by mapping HTTP requests to Cedar actions and evaluating authorization policies before allowing requests to proceed. Versions prior to 0.3.0 have an issue where, under certain circumstances, the middleware matches incoming requests against Cedar action mappings using req.originalUrl, which includes the query string, while Express routes requests using only the path component. The middleware uses req.originalUrl to match incoming requests against Cedar action mappings. In Express, req.originalUrl includes the query string, while route matching uses only the path. This creates a divergence between what Cedar authorizes and what Express executes. When an application defines separate actions for overlapping path prefixes with different authorization requirements (for example, GET /users for listing all users with admin-only access, and GET /users/{id} for retrieving a single user with any authenticated user access), an actor can append a query string to bypass the more restrictive policy. Sending GET /users/?x=1 causes the middleware to match a

  • Aug 12, 2026Deserialization of Untrusted Data vulnerability in ash-project ash allows an unauthenticated attacker to inject a filter expression through a forged keyset pagiCVE-2026-67579 · Other software · ash-project · reported by 6b3ad84c-e1a6-4bf7-a703-f496b71e49dbHigh 7.5

Deserialization of Untrusted Data vulnerability in ash-project ash allows an unauthenticated attacker to inject a filter expression through a forged keyset pagination cursor, resulting in SQL injection or code execution depending on the data layer. Read actions with keyset pagination decode the client-supplied page[:after] or page[:before] cursor in decode_values/2 in lib/ash/page/keyset.ex using non_executable_binary_to_term/2 with [:safe]. That guard blocks new atoms, funs, and ports, but not a struct built from atoms already interned in a running Ash application, so a decoded %Ash.Query.Call{} expression survives and is spliced into the keyset filter as a comparison value in do_filters/4 and evaluated. Because the cursor bypasses the Ash.Expr macro, the runtime never applies the private?/public? gate that would otherwise reject it. On AshPostgres the injected fragment is inlined into the SQL query; on the ETS and Simple data layers it is evaluated in-process as an arbitrary function call. This issue affects ash: from 1.17.0 before 3.31.3.

  • Aug 9, 2026Perl versions through 5.45.1 have out-of-bounds heap reads and writes during regular expression matching via an undersized superlinear cache in S_regmatch.CVE-2026-15534 · Other software · reported by 9b29abf9-4ab0-4765-b253-1875cd9b441eMedium 5.7

Perl versions through 5.45.1 have out-of-bounds heap reads and writes during regular expression matching via an undersized superlinear cache in S_regmatch. The regex engine's superlinear cache holds one bit per subject position for each participating WHILEM node, so the bit count is the subject length plus one times the number of nodes. Nothing checks that product for positive overflow of the signed 32-bit count: a 286331153 byte subject matched against a pattern with 15 participating nodes stores the count as 14, leaving a two byte cache. The cache is then indexed from the real match position and node number, so reads go past the end of the allocation, and on failure CACHEsayNO sets a bit past it. A caller that matches an attacker controlled subject of this size against a pattern of this shape can crash the process or corrupt heap memory.

CTI-Transmute contains a stored cross-site scripting vulnerability caused by insufficient neutralization of Vue template expression delimiters in server-rendered user-controlled data. An unauthenticated attacker can create a public conversion whose name or description contains a malicious Vue expression using the application's configured [[ ... ]] delimiters. User profile names may provide an additional injection vector. Although Jinja HTML escaping is applied, the resulting value is subsequently included in a DOM region compiled by Vue. Vue interprets the attacker-controlled value as a template expression rather than ordinary text. By accessing the JavaScript Function constructor from within the expression, an attacker can execute arbitrary JavaScript in the security context of the CTI-Transmute origin. The application's nonce-based Content Security Policy does not prevent exploitation because the Vue runtime compiler requires the unsafe-eval policy exception. The malicious payload is stored by the application and executed whenever another user opens an affected page, such as the public conversion detail page. The victim may be a normal user or an administrator. Successful expl

node-re2 provides RE2 regular expression bindings for Node.js. Prior to version 1.25.1, the WrappedRE2::Replace function built its replacement result and passed it to V8 using ToLocalChecked without checking for the empty MaybeLocal that V8 returns when the resulting string or buffer exceeds V8's maximum string length. When a global replace uses an output amplifying replacement template, the result can grow quadratically with the input size, and once the result exceeds V8's maximum string length, the unchecked ToLocalChecked call causes a fatal, uncatchable process abort instead of a catchable exception. • Aug 6, 2026Inefficient Regular Expression Complexity vulnerability in the CSS scrubber in rrrene html_sanitize_ex allows an unauthenticated remote attacker to exhaust servCVE-2026-68749 · Other software · rrrene · reported by 6b3ad84c-e1a6-4bf7-a703-f496b71e49dbHigh 8.2

Inefficient Regular Expression Complexity vulnerability in the CSS scrubber in rrrene html_sanitize_ex allows an unauthenticated remote attacker to exhaust server CPU via a long CSS declaration in sanitized HTML. The declaration regex in HtmlSanitizeEx.Scrubber.CSS.scrub/1 matches the property name with an unbounded greedy [-\w]+ followed by a mandatory :, so a long run of word characters not followed by a colon makes the engine give back one character at a time and retry the colon at every start offset. The work is quadratic in the length of the run, and no length cap is applied to the CSS handed to the scrubber. An 80 KB <style> body costs roughly 2.4 seconds of scheduler time, so a few concurrent requests saturate the BEAM scheduler pool and make the application unresponsive. The impact is CPU exhaustion only. Nothing is read, modified or disclosed. This issue affects html_sanitize_ex: from 0.3.1 before 1.4.5 and from 1.5.0-rc.0 before 1.5.3.

A Regular Expression Denial of Service (ReDoS) vulnerability exists in Apache Superset versions 1.5.0 through 5.0.0. The vulnerability is located in the sql_parse.py component, specifically within the SQL_REGEX used for parsing SQL statements in the sqlparse library integration. The affected regular expression contains overlapping disjunctions that share a common outer quantifier. An authenticated attacker can exploit this by sending a maliciously crafted input string (specifically a long sequence of backslashes or similar characters) to endpoints that process SQL queries This issue affects Apache Superset: before 6.0.0. Users are recommended to upgrade to version 6.0.0, which fixes the issue.  Workarounds: ● WAF Rules: Implement Web Application Firewall (WAF) rules to detect and block requests containing excessively long sequences of backslashes or suspicious repeated patterns in the queries.extras.where parameter. ● Rate Limiting: Ensure strict rate limiting is applied to the /api/v1/chart/data endpoint to reduce the impact of potential attacks.

When applying replicated changes for a row that is missing one or more columns, pglogical evaluates the affected table's default expressions on the subscriber. Because the apply worker runs at a privilege level equivalent to a PostgreSQL superuser in default installations, any function invoked by such a default expression also runs at that privilege. A party acting as the publisher can use this path to cause functions to be executed on the subscriber as superuser, escalating from a role permitted to use pglogical to full superuser. This is a second, independent path to the same superuser escalation tracked under CVE-2026-50736 (the pglogical queue issue). To exploit the issue an attacker must be able to direct a subscription at an endpoint they control. In default installations this requires privileges normally reserved for a superuser, so the issue is most relevant to managed deployments where the ability to create subscriptions has been delegated to non-superuser roles.

Fiber is an Express inspired web framework written in Go. Prior to 3.3.0 and 2.52.14, the BalancerForward proxy helper in middleware/proxy/proxy.go uses Header.Add() instead of Header.Set() when injecting X-Real-IP, allowing an attacker-supplied first X-Real-IP value to be forwarded to upstream servers for logging, rate limiting, and access control. • Jul 7, 2026String::Util versions before 1.36 for Perl are susceptible to a regular expression denial of service.CVE-2026-14895 · Other software · BAKERSCOT · reported by 9b29abf9-4ab0-4765-b253-1875cd9b441eHigh 7.5

String::Util versions before 1.36 for Perl are susceptible to a regular expression denial of service. The trim and rtrim functions stripped trailing whitespace with s/\s*$//u. Because \s* matches greedily and the $ anchor fails whenever a non-whitespace character follows the whitespace, the regex engine retries the match at each offset of a long whitespace run, producing quadratic backtracking. The fix replaces \s*$ with \s+$. Any caller that passes untrusted input to trim or rtrim can trigger CPU exhaustion with a string containing a long run of whitespace.

LobeChat before version 2.2.10-canary.15 contains a regular expression denial of service (ReDoS) vulnerability that allows authenticated attackers to block the Node.js event loop by supplying a catastrophic-backtracking pattern in a GitHub repository URL path during skill import. • Jun 30, 2026@fastify/express versions 4.0.6 and earlier only rewrite the plugin prefix for middleware mount paths when the path argument is a string.CVE-2026-6556 · Other software · @fastify/express · reported by ce714d77-add3-4f53-aff5-83d477b104bbCritical 9.1

@fastify/express versions 4.0.6 and earlier only rewrite the plugin prefix for middleware mount paths when the path argument is a string. Non-string mount paths (arrays of paths and regular expressions) are left unprefixed inside prefixed plugin scopes, so middleware registered with those forms does not match the actual prefixed request path. Applications that use path-scoped middleware for authentication, authorization, rate limiting, or auditing on routes inside a prefixed scope can be bypassed by sending a request to the prefixed route, because Fastify still matches the route but the middleware is skipped. Patches: upgrade to @fastify/express 4.0.7. Workarounds: use string mount paths instead of arrays or regular expressions in prefixed plugins, or register one use call per path.

  • Jun 29, 2026The IPv6 Neighbor Discovery handlers in subsys/net/ip/ipv6_nbr.c (handle_ra_input, handle_ns_input, handle_na_input) used an incorrect boolean expression that cCVE-2026-7656 · Other software · zephyrproject · reported by vulnerabilities@zephyrproject.orgHigh 8.1

The IPv6 Neighbor Discovery handlers in subsys/net/ip/ipv6_nbr.c (handle_ra_input, handle_ns_input, handle_na_input) used an incorrect boolean expression that combined the RFC 4861 validity checks with the ICMPv6 code check using the wrong operator precedence: the form was ((length/hop/source/target checks) && (icmp_hdr->code != 0)). Because every legitimate ND message carries ICMPv6 code 0, an attacker setting code == 0 (the normal value) caused the entire predicate to evaluate false, so the packet was never dropped and all of the other checks were silently skipped. The bypassed checks include the mandatory Hop Limit == 255 verification (which proves an ND packet originated on-link and was not forwarded) and, for Router Advertisements, the requirement that the source be a link-local address, as well as multicast-target sanity checks. As a result, an adjacent on-link attacker — and, because the Hop-Limit-255 guard is bypassed, potentially a remote/off-link attacker whose packets would otherwise be rejected — can have forged Router Advertisement, Neighbor Solicitation, and Neighbor Advertisement messages accepted. A forged RA lets the attacker reconfigure the victim's default router
