  • Aug 10, 2026In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: tracing: Fix union collision of module and refcnt for dynamic events In 'struct trace_evenCVE-2026-68174 · Computers, phones & browsers · Linux · reported by 416baaa9-dc9f-4396-8d5f-8c081fb06d67

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: tracing: Fix union collision of module and refcnt for dynamic events In 'struct trace_event_call', the 'module' pointer and the 'refcnt' atomic variable share the same memory space in a union. For dynamic events, the union member is 'refcnt', which acts as an active reference counter. When a dynamic event (such as kprobe, uprobe, fprobe, eprobe, or wprobe) has a non-zero reference count (e.g. due to active event triggers or perf attachments), its 'call->module' evaluates to a small non-zero integer instead of NULL. When filtering or setting events for a specific module (e.g., writing ':mod:<module>' to 'set_event'), the code in '__ftrace_set_clr_event_nolock()' and 'update_event_fields()' reads 'call->module' directly without checking whether the event is dynamic. This causes the kernel to treat the small integer (refcnt) as a 'struct module' pointer, leading to a NULL/invalid pointer dereference (Oops) when dereferencing the module name. Fix this by ensuring that the 'TRACE_EVENT_FL_DYNAMIC' flag is checked before treating 'call->module' as a valid pointer in these code paths.

  • Jul 23, 2026Tickera – Sell Tickets & Manage Events: Generic SQL InjectionCVE-2026-15761 · WordPress plugins & themes · reported by WordfenceMedium 6.5

The Tickera – Sell Tickets & Manage Events plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to generic SQL Injection via the 'tc_event_filter' parameter in all versions up to, and including, 3.6.0.1 due to insufficient escaping on the user supplied parameter and lack of sufficient preparation on the existing SQL query. This makes it possible for authenticated attackers, with staff-level access and above, to append additional SQL queries into already existing queries that can be used to extract sensitive information from the database. The vulnerable code path is reachable by users holding the plugin's custom Staff role, as the plugin's add_required_capabilities() function grants that role the edit_tc_tickets_instances capability, providing access to the tc_tickets_instances admin list screen where the filter is applied.

  • Jul 23, 2026Registrations For The Events Calendar: SQL InjectionCVE-2026-13119 · WordPress plugins & themes · reported by WordfenceMedium 6.5

The Registrations For The Events Calendar plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to SQL Injection via JSON keys in the 'standard' parameter handled by the rtec_records_edit AJAX action in versions up to and including 3.2. The handler decodes attacker-controlled JSON from $_POST['standard'] and uses the JSON array keys directly as column identifiers in the SET clause of an UPDATE statement built inside RTEC_Db_Admin::update_entry(). Only esc_sql() (mysqli_real_escape_string) is applied to the identifier; that function escapes quotes, backslashes, and a few control characters but does not escape spaces, equals signs, parentheses, or hyphens, so an attacker can break out of the identifier context and inject subqueries (terminated with a SQL comment). This makes it possible for authenticated attackers, with Contributor-level access and above who can edit the targeted event, to append additional SQL queries into already existing queries that can be used to extract sensitive information from the database.

The Events Manager WordPress plugin before 7.3.7 does not safely handle booking-registration data on sites using No-User-Account Booking Mode: a booker-supplied registration field is stored as booking meta and later deserialized without restricting allowed classes, enabling PHP object injection. • Jul 20, 2026ClearanceKit intercepts file-system access events on macOS and enforces per-process access policies.CVE-2026-47134 · Other software · craigjbass · reported by GitHubMedium 6.9

ClearanceKit intercepts file-system access events on macOS and enforces per-process access policies. The ECDSA private key used to sign the on-disk policy database (`/Library/Application Support/clearancekit/store.db`) is stored in the macOS System Keychain. The key was created via the two-step pattern `SecKeyCreateRandomKey` (in-memory) followed by `SecItemAdd(kSecValueRef:, kSecAttrAccess:)` (persist). Prior to version 5.0.10, for `kSecClassKey` items in the legacy System Keychain, `kSecAttrAccess` passed to `SecItemAdd` is silently ignored — the persisted key inherits no ACL restriction. The same access builder applied to `kSecClassGenericPassword` items correctly binds the ACL, making this bug specific to the EC key. The result is that any process running as root can use the key to produce valid signatures over arbitrary policy content. Version 5.0.10 fixes the issue. No known workarounds are available. Disabling the system extension and manually removing the System Keychain item labelled `clearancekit policy signing key` would prevent the forged-signature path but also disables policy enforcement.

  • Jul 20, 2026ClearanceKit intercepts file-system access events on macOS and enforces per-process access policies.CVE-2026-47133 · Other software · craigjbass · reported by GitHubMedium 6.9

ClearanceKit intercepts file-system access events on macOS and enforces per-process access policies. Prior to version 5.0.10, each table in the on-disk SQLite policy store (`/Library/Application Support/clearancekit/store.db`) is verified using an ECDSA signature stored in the `data_signatures` table. The signed payload contains only the canonical row content, with no version counter or freshness binding. An attacker who can write `store.db` and the matching `data_signatures` row — feasible during the opfilter-update window when the Endpoint Security filter is offline, or via offline-boot / decrypted-backup scenarios — can substitute a previously-captured legitimately-signed snapshot. opfilter accepts the older snapshot as fully valid on next boot because the existing signatures still verify. Version 5.0.10 patches the issue.

  • Jul 14, 2026Summary Cloudflare quiche was discovered to be vulnerable to memory resource exhaustion due to unbounded queuing of post-handshake client migration events.CVE-2026-12707 · Other software · Cloudflare · reported by cna@cloudflare.comHigh 7.5

Summary Cloudflare quiche was discovered to be vulnerable to memory resource exhaustion due to unbounded queuing of post-handshake client migration events. Impact quiche supports the connection migration features described in Section 9 of RFC 9000, which allows a single QUIC connection to survive changes in the network path. Although quiche implements the protections described in Section 9.3 of RFC 9000 to limit server state commitment, it was discovered that the collection of PathEvents, intended to be consumed by applications via the path_event_next() function, was not bounded. Once the QUIC handshake completed, a peer could exploit rapid source address migration in order to cause unbounded queuing of the PathEvent::ReusedSourceConnectionId type. Servers are vulnerable even if active connection migration is disabled. Mitigation: * Applications can call path_event_next() to drain the PathEvent collection, mitigating the attack. * Users are requested to upgrade to quiche 0.29.3 which is the earliest version that prevents excessive queueing of PathEvent::ReusedSourceConnectionId.

Fluentd collects events from various data sources and writes them to files, RDBMS, NoSQL, IaaS, SaaS, Hadoop and so on. Prior to 1.19.3, the Fluentd out_http output plugin allows placeholders such as ${tag} in the endpoint configuration parameter, and if a placeholder value is derived from untrusted input an attacker can control the destination hostname of outbound HTTP requests and force requests to arbitrary internal services. This issue is fixed in version 1.19.3.

Fluentd collects events from various data sources and writes them to files, RDBMS, NoSQL, IaaS, SaaS, Hadoop and so on. Prior to 1.19.3, Fluentd's in_http and in_forward plugins support gzip-compressed data but enforce limits only on compressed payloads through settings such as body_size_limit and chunk_size_limit, allowing crafted compressed payloads to decompress in memory to an excessive size and cause denial of service through memory exhaustion. This issue is fixed in version 1.19.3.

Fluentd collects events from various data sources and writes them to files, RDBMS, NoSQL, IaaS, SaaS, Hadoop and so on. Prior to 1.19.3, Fluentd allows dynamically constructing file paths using the ${tag} placeholder, and insufficient validation of ${tag} in file configurations such as the path parameter of the out_file plugin allows attackers sending untrusted tags containing path traversal characters to write or overwrite arbitrary files and potentially achieve remote code execution. • Jul 8, 2026An authorization bypass in MISP’s EventsController::importModule() allowed authenticated users or read-only API keys with event view access to persist data to eCVE-2026-60124 · Other software · misp · reported by 5a6e4751-2f3f-4070-9419-94fb35b644e8Medium 5.3

An authorization bypass in MISP’s EventsController::importModule() allowed authenticated users or read-only API keys with event view access to persist data to events they were not allowed to modify. When an import module returned results in the misp_standard format, the write path did not verify event modification rights before saving the module output. This could allow a view-only user to inject or alter event data, impacting the integrity of MISP event content. The issue was fixed by enforcing the same modification-rights check used by related module result handling paths before processing misp_standard imports.

  • Jul 3, 2026LatePoint – Calendar Booking Plugin for Appointments and Events: Authorization bypassCVE-2026-11398 · WordPress plugins & themes · reported by WordfenceMedium 5.3

The LatePoint – Calendar Booking Plugin for Appointments and Events plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to authorization bypass in all versions up to, and including, 5.6.1. This is due to the plugin not properly verifying that a user is authorized to perform an action. This makes it possible for unauthenticated attackers to modify the personally identifiable information (first name, last name, phone number, and notes) of any existing customer record, including those linked to administrator accounts, by submitting the booking form with a known customer's email address. Exploitation requires the plugin to be configured with guest bookings enabled (is_customer_auth_disabled() returning true), which is necessary for the vulnerable unauthenticated code path in process_step_customer() to be reached.

The LatePoint – Calendar Booking Plugin for Appointments and Events plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to Insecure Direct Object Reference in all versions up to, and including, 5.6.2 via the 'service_id' parameter due to missing validation on a user controlled key. This makes it possible for unauthenticated attackers to create approved bookings against services explicitly restricted to admins and agents, consuming restricted appointment capacity and triggering unauthorized bookings for admin/agent-only services. The bypass works via both the params[booking][service_id] parameter in steps__load_step and the presets[selected_service] parameter in steps__start, both of which are publicly accessible without authentication.

  • Jul 1, 2026LatePoint – Calendar Booking Plugin for Appointments and Events: Privilege Escalation to AdministratorCVE-2026-13228 · WordPress plugins & themes · reported by WordfenceHigh 8.8

The LatePoint – Calendar Booking Plugin for Appointments and Events plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to Privilege Escalation to Administrator in versions up to, and including, 5.6.3 This is due to an Insecure Direct Object Reference (IDOR) in the create_or_update() function of OsOrdersController, which allows an authenticated Agent to supply an arbitrary order[customer_id] and overwrite any LatePoint customer's email field (including one linked to a WordPress Administrator's account) through the public-scope customer set_data() call, combined with a missing role verification in OsAuthHelper::authorize_customer() which logs in the linked WordPress user without checking its role. This makes it possible for authenticated attackers, with custom (Agent)-level access and above, to elevate their privileges to Administrator.

  • Jun 25, 2026In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: ALSA: seq: dummy: fix UMP event stack overread The dummy sequencer port forwards events byCVE-2026-53241 · Computers, phones & browsers · Linux · reported by 416baaa9-dc9f-4396-8d5f-8c081fb06d67Medium 5.5

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: ALSA: seq: dummy: fix UMP event stack overread The dummy sequencer port forwards events by copying an incoming struct snd_seq_event into a stack temporary, rewriting source and destination, and dispatching the temporary to subscribers. That legacy event storage is smaller than struct snd_seq_ump_event. When a UMP event reaches the dummy client, the copy leaves the UMP flag set but only provides legacy-sized stack storage. The subscriber delivery path then uses snd_seq_event_packet_size() and copies a UMP-sized packet from that stack object, reading past the end of the temporary. Use the existing union __snd_seq_event storage and copy the packet size reported for the incoming event before rewriting the common routing fields. This preserves the full UMP packet for UMP events while keeping legacy event handling unchanged.
