Sep 18, 2026Newsletter – Send awesome emails from: Reflected Cross-Site ScriptingCVE-2026-90981 · WordPress plugins & themes · reported by WordfenceMedium 6.1
The Newsletter – Send awesome emails from WordPress plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to Reflected Cross-Site Scripting via the 'nn' parameter in all versions up to, and including, 9.3.8 due to insufficient input sanitization and output escaping. This makes it possible for unauthenticated attackers to inject arbitrary web scripts in pages that execute if they can successfully trick a user into performing an action such as clicking on a link. Successful exploitation requires the victim to be a logged-in administrator, as the antibot check auto-passes for authenticated users, routing the unsanitized payload through the administrator-visible output branch of dienow().

Sep 17, 2026FairEmail is a fully featured, open source, privacy-friendly email app for Android.CVE-2026-54521 · Other software · M66B · reported by GitHubMedium 6.1
FairEmail is a fully featured, open source, privacy-friendly email app for Android. Prior to 1.2319, the ActivityAMP AMP message renderer in app/src/main/java/eu/faircode/email/ActivityAMP.java enables JavaScript in its WebView but incompletely sanitizes untrusted message HTML. For non-allowlisted hosts, script.removeAttr("src") leaves inline script elements in the document and does not reject event-handler attributes or javascript: URLs on other elements. A crafted AMP email can execute arbitrary JavaScript when a recipient opens the message and enables the AMP toggle. The script can read the message DOM, exfiltrate message data, and display phishing overlays within the message-body area. Exploitation requires the recipient to enable the AMP toggle, and practical exposure is reduced because AMP email is uncommon. This issue is fixed in version 1.2319.

Sep 17, 2026punchin-email is a Cloudflare Email Worker that provides two-way role aliases while relaying mail to a private inbox.CVE-2026-54649 · Other software · PunchIn-App · reported by GitHubLow 2.1
punchin-email is a Cloudflare Email Worker that provides two-way role aliases while relaying mail to a private inbox. Prior to 1.5.0, handleInbound delivers inbound alias mail with message.forward(), which silently drops the added Reply-To header intended to route responses through the relay. When a correspondent sends mail to an alias and the operator replies, the mail client can send directly to the correspondent from the private FORWARD_TO inbox address, exposing that address. The disclosure is limited to the operator's own email address and does not expose third-party data or provide code execution or authentication bypass. This issue is fixed in version 1.5.0.

Sep 17, 2026WWBN AVideo through commit e01e41ecc (no patched version available) contains a broken access control flaw in objects/userVerifyEmail.php.CVE-2026-92915 · Other software · WWBN · reported by VulnCheckMedium 6.9
WWBN AVideo through commit e01e41ecc (no patched version available) contains a broken access control flaw in objects/userVerifyEmail.php. The script disables the login requirement ($global['ignoreUserMustBeLoggedIn'] = 1), takes users_id directly from the query string, and calls User::sendVerificationLink() with no session requirement, no CSRF/global token, no relationship check between caller and target, and no enforceRateLimit() call. The only intended throttle is keyed to the caller's own session, so cookie-less requests are never limited. An unauthenticated remote attacker can therefore cause an arbitrary number of verification emails to be sent to any account ID, and can enumerate accounts and their verification status from the three distinct JSON responses ("Verification Sent", "Already verified", "Unknown error"). In addition, createVerificationCode() invokes $user->setRecoverPass() and saves the user, so each anonymous request writes a live password-recovery token onto the targeted account; that token is embedded in base64 in the verification link emailed to the account owner and is accepted by objects/userRecoverPassSave.json.php as the credential for setting a new passwor

Nodemailer before 9.1.0 fails to apply UTS-46 normalization when encoding international domain names, causing the domain resolver to compute a different Punycode A-label than standards-compliant parsers. Attackers can craft recipient addresses with invisible characters or compatibility mappings that pass domain allow-list checks but are delivered to attacker-controlled domains via SMTP.

Sep 16, 2026Nodemailer versions >= 6.9.16 and < 9.1.0 mis-parse RFC 5322 comments in email addresses: in lib/addressparser, a comment closed immediately before a non-break CVE-2026-92597 · Other software · nodemailer · reported by VulnCheckHigh 8.3
Nodemailer versions >= 6.9.16 and < 9.1.0 mis-parse RFC 5322 comments in email addresses: in lib/addressparser, a comment closed immediately before a non-break character causes the tokenizer to concatenate the atoms surrounding the comment instead of treating the comment as folding whitespace that terminates the domain. A recipient address such as user@good-corp.com(x)evil.com is therefore read by Nodemailer as the single domain good-corp.comevil.com (registrable domain comevil.com, which an attacker can register) and used for both the SMTP envelope (RCPT TO) and the emitted To:/From: headers, while a conformant RFC 5322 parser terminates the domain at the comment and reads good-corp.com. An application that validates the recipient domain with a strict RFC 5322 parser (without inspecting parse defects) or a naive prefix/substring allow-list and then hands the raw address to Nodemailer can be induced to deliver mail to a domain the attacker controls. Fixed in 9.1.0.

Sep 16, 2026Nodemailer (npm package `nodemailer`) versions 9.1.0 and earlier do not honor the `disableFileAccess` and `disableUrlAccess` sandbox options when message contenCVE-2026-92595 · Other software · nodemailer · reported by VulnCheckMedium 6
Nodemailer (npm package `nodemailer`) versions 9.1.0 and earlier do not honor the `disableFileAccess` and `disableUrlAccess` sandbox options when message content is resolved through the public plugin API `MailMessage.resolveContent()` using the documented legacy three-argument signature `resolveContent(data, key, callback)`. Because `shared.resolveContent()` normalizes the missing `options` argument to an empty object, the message-level flags copied into `mail.data` by the MailMessage constructor are discarded, and `resolveContentValue()` skips both access-control checks, reaching `nmfetch(url)` or `fs.createReadStream(path)`. As a result, plugin or application code that resolves untrusted message content (html, text, attachment `path` or `href`) via this API can be induced to read arbitrary local files or issue outbound HTTP(S) requests (server-side request forgery), bypassing the sandbox the application enabled. The internal paths used by `transporter.sendMail()` (`resolveAll()`, `_convertDataImages()`, and the MIME streaming path) are not affected. Fixed in version 9.1.1.

N-able Mail Assure through April 2026 contains a design-level authorization flaw that allows an authenticated SMTP user to send outbound email using MAIL FROM addresses belonging to other tenants. When connecting to the SMTP TCP port and performing SMTP AUTH with valid credentials, the server accepts arbitrary sender domains without enforcing any domain-to-account binding. As a result, an attacker from any tenant can impersonate other tenant domains, producing messages that pass SPF and DMARC validation. Sep 11, 2026The two built-in name-finder patterns exposed by opennlp.tools.namefind.RegexNameFinderFactory - DEFAULT_REGEX_NAME_FINDER.EMAIL and DEFAULT_REGEX_NAME_FINDER.UCVE-2026-82617 · Websites & servers · Apache Software Foundation · reported by security@apache.orgCritical 10
The two built-in name-finder patterns exposed by opennlp.tools.namefind.RegexNameFinderFactory - DEFAULT_REGEX_NAME_FINDER.EMAIL and DEFAULT_REGEX_NAME_FINDER.URL - contain ambiguous nested quantifiers. An application that obtains these finders through RegexNameFinderFactory.getDefaultRegexNameFinders(...) and then applies them to untrusted text through RegexNameFinder.find(String[]) or RegexNameFinder.find(String) can be driven into super-linear backtracking or into unbounded matcher recursion by a small crafted input. For the EMAIL pattern, a long run of local-part characters that is never followed by an @ forces the matcher to re-scan to end-of-input from every starting offset. Cost grows quadratically with input length: an input of approximately 32 KB consumes several seconds of CPU in a single find() call and returns no match, and each doubling of the input multiplies the cost roughly four-fold. For the URL pattern, the query-string sub-expression nests a capturing repetition inside an outer repetition. The JDK matcher recurses once per query token, so an input of approximately 4 KB containing many &-separated tokens exhausts the thread stack and causes java.lang.Sta

The Floating Chat Widget: Contact Chat Icons, Telegram Chat, Line Messenger, WeChat, Email, SMS, Call Button – Chaty plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to Reflected Cross-Site Scripting via the 's' parameter in all versions up to, and including, 3.5.9 due to insufficient input sanitization and output escaping. This makes it possible for unauthenticated attackers to inject arbitrary web scripts in pages that execute if they can successfully trick a user into performing an action such as clicking on a link. WordPress's server-side HTML encoding of the 's' search parameter in the <title> element is bypassed because the browser DOM API decodes HTML entities when jQuery's .text() method reads document.title, returning literal special characters that are then embedded unescaped into the constructed HTML attribute value.

The Concrete CMS security team gave this vulnerability a CVSS v4.0 score of 6.3 with vector CVSS:4.0/AV:N/AC:L/AT:P/PR:N/UI:N/VC:N/VI:L/VA:N/SC:N/SI:N/SA:N. Sep 10, 2026Concrete CMS below 9.5.3 stores user validation hashes for multiple purposes (email/registration validation, password reset, and persistent login) in a single tCVE-2026-81905 · Other software · Concrete CMS · reported by ff5b8ace-8b95-4078-9743-eac1ca5451deMedium 6.3
Concrete CMS below 9.5.3 stores user validation hashes for multiple purposes (email/registration validation, password reset, and persistent login) in a single table with a type column, but the redemption path resolves a hash by value alone and does not verify its type. As a result, a hash issued for one purpose can be redeemed for another: a long-lived registration hash (60-day expiry) can be submitted to the password-change endpoint to set a new password on the target account, and a password-reset hash can be submitted to the email-validation endpoint to activate an account. Exploitation requires the attacker to first obtain a valid hash through a separate channel (for example email interception, log exposure, or SSRF against an internal mail relay), so the flaw amplifies the impact of any hash disclosure rather than creating a standalone entry point. The Concrete CMS security team gave this vulnerability a CVSS v4.0 score of 6.3 with vector CVSS:4.0/AV:N/AC:H/AT:P/PR:N/UI:N/VC:L/VI:L/VA:N/SC:N/SI:N/SA:N. Snipe-IT versions before 8.7.0 fail to sanitize the category EULA text field before rendering it in checkout confirmation emails. Attackers with low-privilege permissions can inject markdown image syntax or raw HTML img tags pointing to local files or remote URLs, which the mail auto-embed library resolves server-side and returns as email attachments, exfiltrating sensitive files like .env credentials and enabling SSRF attacks.

Sep 9, 2026Mail Mint – Email Marketing, Newsletter, Email Automation & WooCommerce Emails: SQL InjectionCVE-2026-19800 · WordPress plugins & themes · reported by WordfenceMedium 4.9
The Mail Mint – Email Marketing, Newsletter, Email Automation & WooCommerce Emails plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to SQL Injection via the 'status' parameter in all versions up to, and including, 1.31.0 due to insufficient escaping on the user supplied parameter and lack of sufficient preparation on the existing SQL query. The $wpdb->prepare() call does not protect against this injection because the attacker-controlled $contact_filter_query fragment is concatenated into the SQL format string before prepare() executes — prepare() only processes %s/%d placeholders and cannot sanitize content already embedded in the format string. REST API JSON bodies are parsed from php://input and bypass WordPress's wp_magic_quotes(), meaning double-quote characters in status array values reach the SQL sink unescaped. This makes it possible for authenticated attackers, with administrator-level access and above, to append additional SQL queries into already existing queries that can be used to extract sensitive information from the database. The required 'mint_read_contacts' capability is a plugin-specific capability not assigned to any default WordPress role; it must be explicitly granted by an

Sep 8, 2026FireBox – WooCommerce Popup Builder, Exit Intent Popup, Email Optin & Cart Abandonment: Remote Code ExecutionCVE-2026-76801 · WordPress plugins & themes · reported by WordfenceHigh 8.8
The FireBox – WooCommerce Popup Builder, Exit Intent Popup, Email Optin & Cart Abandonment plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to Remote Code Execution in all versions up to, and including, 3.1.10 via the value function. This is due to a trivially bypassable regex blacklist in Executer::allowedToRun() that fails to block WordPress core functions such as wp_insert_user, update_option, and file_put_contents, combined with no sanitization of PHP condition rule values stored via the firebox_meta REST endpoint. This makes it possible for authenticated attackers, with author-level access and above, to execute code on the server. On sites upgraded from a version prior to 3.1.10, the Migrator::preserveCampaignRoleAccess() function automatically grants the edit_fireboxes and publish_fireboxes capabilities to the Author role, lowering the effective entry point to Author-level access.

Sep 7, 2026Affected versions of MISP inconsistently enforced email-address visibility in DashboardsController::listTemplates().CVE-2026-86417 · Other software · MISP · reported by 5a6e4751-2f3f-4070-9419-94fb35b644e8Medium 5.3
Affected versions of MISP inconsistently enforced email-address visibility in DashboardsController::listTemplates(). The query always fetched User.email, while redaction happened only inside the non-REST rendering branch. As a result, the same authenticated user who saw redacted data in the normal HTML interface could request the REST/JSON representation and receive template owners’ email addresses without the intended privilege check. The fix moves the decision to a centralized User::canSeeEmails() authorization helper. Email addresses are now fetched only when the requester is a site administrator or the instance explicitly enables Security.disclose_user_emails. The same helper is also reused by other dashboard widgets to keep email-disclosure policy consistent. Version affected: ≤2.5.45
