Oct 22, 2026A client-side encryption schema construction component in the MongoDB C# Driver places caller-supplied field identifiers into a position that is interpreted as CVE-2026-114653 · Other software · MongoDB · reported by cna@mongodb.comHigh 7.1
A client-side encryption schema construction component in the MongoDB C# Driver places caller-supplied field identifiers into a position that is interpreted as a pattern expression, without normalizing or validating them. As a result, an application that designates certain fields for client-side field-level encryption may have the protection silently fail to apply, so data intended to be encrypted is stored and returned in cleartext; conversely, the rule may apply more broadly than intended. No user action is required to cause the condition, and any party with ordinary read access to the stored data — without possession of the encryption keys — can observe the unprotected values.

Oct 22, 2026A flaw was found in GNU patch.CVE-2026-115207 · Other software · Red Hat · reported by Red HatMedium 5.5
A flaw was found in GNU patch. An attacker can achieve arbitrary file creation outside the intended working directory by enticing a user or automated workflow to apply a specially crafted patch file. Due to missing validation during automatic patch reversal, absolute file paths in patch headers are accepted rather than rejected. Consequently, the utility can create files in arbitrary locations with the permissions of the executing user.

Oct 22, 2026A flaw was found in Goose.CVE-2026-111079 · Other software · Red Hat · reported by Red HatHigh 7.4
A flaw was found in Goose. When the terminal integration feature is enabled, the application captures shell command history and sends it verbatim without sanitization to configured Large Language Model (LLM) provider endpoints during queries. If a user enters sensitive data—such as API tokens, passwords, or environment variables containing secrets—in the terminal, this unredacted information is transmitted across trust boundaries. This can lead to sensitive information disclosure, exposing confidential credentials to external service providers and logs.

Oct 21, 2026In Splunk SOAR versions below 8.7.0, an authenticated user could change the Enterprise Security edition through the Representational State Transfer (REST) API aCVE-2026-76308 · Other software · Splunk · reported by psirt@cisco.comMedium 6.5
In Splunk SOAR versions below 8.7.0, an authenticated user could change the Enterprise Security edition through the Representational State Transfer (REST) API and cause Splunk SOAR to apply the license change. The vulnerability is possible because Splunk SOAR authenticates requests to manage the Enterprise Security edition but does not authorize the caller before it applies the license change. For more information see Using the REST API reference for Splunk SOAR (On-premises) (https://help.splunk.com/en/splunk-soar/soar-on-premises/rest-api-reference/8.7.0/using-the-splunk-soar-rest-api/using-the-rest-api-reference-for-splunk-soar-on-premises), Obtain and configure a Splunk SOAR (On-premises) license (https://help.splunk.com/en/splunk-soar/soar-on-premises/administer-soar-on-premises/8.7.0/configure-your-companys-settings-in-splunk-soar-on-premises/obtain-and-configure-a-splunk-soar-on-premises-license), and Integration of Splunk SOAR with Splunk Enterprise Security (https://help.splunk.com/en/splunk-enterprise-security-8/administer/8.7/automation-with-playbooks/integration-of-splunk-soar-with-splunk-enterprise-security) in the Splunk documentation.

In Splunk Enterprise versions below 10.4.4 and 10.2.8, a user who does not hold the "admin" or "power" Splunk roles could derive the PostgreSQL sidecar database superuser password and run arbitrary operating system commands as the user account running Splunk Enterprise on search head cluster members. The vulnerability is possible because the PostgreSQL sidecar service derives a privileged database password from the search head cluster identifier that appears in search job logs. For more information see About configuring role-based user access (https://help.splunk.com/en/splunk-enterprise/administer/manage-users-and-security/10.2/manage-splunk-platform-users-and-roles/about-configuring-role-based-user-access), server.conf (https://help.splunk.com/en/splunk-enterprise/administer/admin-manual/10.2/configuration-file-reference/10.2.0-configuration-file-reference/server.conf), and Sidecar configuration settings (https://help.splunk.com/en/splunk-enterprise/administer/admin-manual/10.4/splunk-sidecars/sidecar-configuration-settings) in the Splunk documentation.

In Splunk Enterprise versions below 10.4.4, 10.2.8, 10.0.11, and 9.4.16, an unauthenticated user could trick a user that holds a role with the edit_federated_providers capability into turning off all federated search providers. Successful exploitation could temporarily prevent federated searches from retrieving data from remote datasets. The vulnerability is possible because the federated provider Representational State Transfer (REST) API accepts GET requests for actions that change provider state. The vulnerability requires the attacker to phish the affected user by tricking them into initiating a request within their browser. The unauthenticated user should not be able to exploit the vulnerability at will. In Splunk Enterprise versions below 10.4.4, 10.2.8, and 10.0.11, an unauthenticated user could send repeated requests to the Edge Processor package download endpoint in the Splunk Pipeline Builders app. The requests could cause the Splunk daemon to consume excessive system resources and potentially stop responding. The vulnerability is possible because the endpoint accepts package download requests without authentication and reads and base64-encodes the complete package in memory for each request. After upgrading, prepare all existing Edge Processor instances, turn on authentication for Edge Processor package downloads, and restart Splunk Enterprise. For more information, see Enable authentication for Edge Processor package downloads (https://help.splunk.com/en/data-management/process-data-at-the-edge/use-edge-processors-for-splunk-enterprise/10.4/administer-edge-processors/enable-authentication-for-edge-processor-package-downloads).

In Splunk Enterprise versions below 10.4.4, 10.2.8, 10.0.11, and 9.4.16, a user who does not hold the "admin" or "power" Splunk roles could make the Splunk Enterprise instance unavailable to other users by sending a request to the Representational State Transfer (REST) API endpoint for lookup table files. The affected instance requires a restart to restore service. The vulnerability is possible because the endpoint does not limit resource use when it processes response field selections. The system certificate authority (CA) store in Red Hat products, distributed via ca-certificates RPM packages, included multiple root CA certificates of authorities, which signed intermediate CA certificates with weak private keys issued by the eMudhra certificate authority. A man-in-the-middle attacker could use this flaw to issue certificates for arbitrary host names signed by the weak intermediate CA certificates, which would be considered trusted by a TLS/SSL client using system CA store and cause such clients to connect to malicious sites. Due to inability to only distrust specific intermediate certificates in all clients using the system CA store, root CA certificates of authorities that signed weak intermediate CA certificates are being removed.

Oct 21, 2026A vulnerability in the interprocess communication (IPC) channel of the Secure Firewall Posture module in Cisco Secure Client could allow an authenticated, localCVE-2026-76462 · Network & remote access · Cisco · reported by psirt@cisco.comMedium 5.5
A vulnerability in the interprocess communication (IPC) channel of the Secure Firewall Posture module in Cisco Secure Client could allow an authenticated, local attacker to elevate privileges on an affected device. This vulnerability is due to insufficient validation of user-supplied input. An attacker could exploit this vulnerability by sending a series of crafted IPC messages to a local socket. A successful exploit could allow the attacker to perform limited file write operations on the filesystem with SYSTEM or root privileges. Although this vulnerability affects the Secure Firewall Posture module in Cisco Secure Client on Windows, macOS, and Linux operating systems, this vulnerability could be used to obtain full root privileges on macOS and Linux. For that reason Cisco has assigned this security advisory a Security Impact Rating (SIR) of High rather than Medium as the score indicates.

WarehousePG (WHPG) 6.27.1 through 6.27.6 and 7.2.1 through 7.6.0 are affected by a missing authorization vulnerability (CWE-862) in gp_add_coordinator_standby(). The function is named gp_add_master_standby() in WHPG 6, and WHPG 7 keeps that name as an alias. Unlike the other segment add and remove functions, it does not require superuser privileges. A low-privileged user who can open a utility-mode connection can use it to add a fake standby coordinator entry to gp_segment_configuration on a cluster that has no standby configured. Administrators then cannot add a real standby until a superuser removes the fake entry. User data is not exposed or modified.

WarehousePG (WHPG) 6.27.1 through 6.27.6 and 7.2.1 through 7.6.0 are affected by a missing authorization vulnerability (CWE-862) in the built-in cluster expansion functions gp_expand_lock_catalog() and gp_expand_bump_version(). Any authenticated database role can run them, and neither checks privileges. A low-privileged user can call gp_expand_lock_catalog() inside an open transaction to block all catalog changes across the cluster for every user, superusers included, until that transaction ends, which in practice requires a superuser to terminate the session. Blocked changes include DDL, temporary table creation, GRANT and CREATE ROLE. The same user can call gp_expand_bump_version() repeatedly. Each call disconnects sessions that hold temporary tables, with a FATAL error on their next catalog change, and makes every other session rebuild its segment connections.

WarehousePG (WHPG) 7.2.1 through 7.6.0 is affected by a missing authorization vulnerability (CWE-862) in the built-in function gp_log_backend_memory_contexts(). Any authenticated database role can run this function without a GRANT. It also gets around the superuser restriction that PostgreSQL places on the underlying pg_log_backend_memory_contexts() function. A low-privileged user can force the segment backends of any other session, superuser sessions included, to write their memory context details to the segment server logs, which the attacker cannot read. Those details can include query text from other users' cached plans, and the call can be repeated to generate large amounts of log output. WarehousePG 6.x is not affected.

The Authentication Endpoint accepts user-supplied input without sufficient encoding, allowing for the injection of malicious JavaScript payloads. This vulnerability can be triggered by submitting crafted input to the Authentication Endpoint. Successful exploitation allows an attacker to redirect the user's browser to a malicious website, modify the web page's user interface, or extract sensitive information from the browser. However, due to the `httpOnly` flag on session-related cookies, session hijacking is not possible.

Oct 21, 2026Inconsistent interpretation of HTTP requests (HTTP request/response smuggling) in the bundled HTTP/1.1 parser of Apache bRPC (version < 1.18.0) on all platformsCVE-2026-86146 · Websites & servers · Apache Software Foundation · reported by security@apache.org
Inconsistent interpretation of HTTP requests (HTTP request/response smuggling) in the bundled HTTP/1.1 parser of Apache bRPC (version < 1.18.0) on all platforms allows remote attackers to smuggle requests and inject headers when bRPC is deployed behind a proxy or load balancer that parses the same bytes differently. Root Cause: The bRPC fork of http-parser accepts and acts on several HTTP/1.1 header forms that a conforming front-end either rejects or interprets differently, so the framing or the header set of a message can differ between the front-end and bRPC: 1. A space before the colon of framing headers (e.g. Content-Length : 5) is accepted; the value still drives bRPC's framing while the reported field name contains the trailing space. 2. Interior spaces inside a Content-Length value (e.g. Content-Length: 1 3) are skipped, so bRPC reads 13 where a front-end reads 1 or rejects the message (same class as CVE-2022-32213 in Node.js). 3. Obsolete line folding (obs-fold, RFC 7230 3.2.4) of Content-Length and Transfer-Encoding values is accepted, so a folded framing value drives bRPC's framing while a front-end that does not unfold sees a different message. 4. Chunked trailer fields

Oct 21, 2026Interpretation conflict in the HTTP protocol implementation in Apache bRPC (version < 1.18.0) on all platforms allows remote attackers to bypass access control CVE-2026-84747 · Websites & servers · Apache Software Foundation · reported by security@apache.org
Interpretation conflict in the HTTP protocol implementation in Apache bRPC (version < 1.18.0) on all platforms allows remote attackers to bypass access control rules enforced by a front proxy. Root Cause: The method dispatch function FindMethodPropertyByURI() in bRPC's HTTP protocol splits the request path with a string splitter that skips empty fields, so paths containing empty path segments (consecutive slashes), such as //flags, /flags// and /flags//port, are dispatched to the same method as their collapsed form /flags. Per RFC 3986 these are distinct paths. A front proxy that enforces an ACL (e.g. blocking access to builtin services such as /flags) matches the collapsed form only, and therefore forwards the padded literal to the bRPC server, where it is dispatched as if it were the collapsed form. This differential allows //flags?setvalue= to reach a builtin service that /flags is not allowed to reach. Additionally, the HTTP/2 implementation never validated the :path pseudo-header, so requests without a :path, or with a :path that neither begins with '/' nor is the asterisk-form '*', contrary to RFC 9113 section 8.3.1, were not rejected. Affected Scenarios: Deployments of Apa

A flaw was found in libmodulemd. In the module stream v2 rpm-map emission path, an inner loop incorrectly uses the count of digest algorithms as its bound instead of the number of checksums in the current digest table.
