  • Aug 25, 2026browse-mcp is a Playwright-based headless-browser MCP server for MCP-capable agents.CVE-2026-55557 · Other software · That1Drifter · reported by GitHubHigh 8.6

browse-mcp is a Playwright-based headless-browser MCP server for MCP-capable agents. Prior to 0.8.2, browser_download writes a fetched response body to join(save_dir, filename) without validating the caller-controlled save_dir, while browser_save_state and browser_load_state honor a caller-controlled path unchanged. A malicious MCP client, or an autonomous agent steered by indirect prompt injection on a visited page, can choose an arbitrary save_dir or state path and a URL whose response body becomes attacker-controlled file contents, allowing writes to any path the process can reach, including ~/.bashrc, autostart entries, or cron files, and potentially leading to host code execution. The force_fetch fallback also uses a raw fetch() that bypasses the BROWSE_MCP_ALLOWED_ORIGINS origin fence. This issue is fixed in version 0.8.2.

In Splunk SOAR versions below 8.6.0, a user who holds the "Incident Commander" Splunk SOAR role could store JavaScript in a note and run it in the browser of another user when that user opens the note. The stored Cross-Site Scripting (XSS) vulnerability is possible because Splunk SOAR can treat existing note content as Hypertext Markup Language (HTML) without sanitizing that content when the note format changes. The vulnerability requires the attacker to phish the affected user by tricking them into initiating a request within their browser. The user who holds the "Incident Commander" Splunk SOAR role should not be able to exploit the vulnerability at will. For more information see Manage roles and permissions in Splunk SOAR (Cloud) (https://help.splunk.com/en/splunk-soar/soar-cloud/administer-soar-cloud/manage-your-splunk-soar-cloud-users-and-accounts/manage-roles-and-permissions-in-splunk-soar-cloud) in the Splunk documentation.

  • Aug 19, 2026Ground Station is a browser-based suite for satellite tracking, SDR reception, hardware control, and telemetry decoding.CVE-2026-53452 · Other software · sgoudelis · reported by GitHubMedium 5.3

Ground Station is a browser-based suite for satellite tracking, SDR reception, hardware control, and telemetry decoding. Prior to version 0.4.13, the unauthenticated configure-sdr Socket.IO command accepts a recordingPath for the sigmf-playback SDR and backend/handlers/entities/sdr.py stores it without validation before backend/hardware/sigmfprobe.py opens the path without enforcing containment. An absolute path or parent-directory escape ending in .sigmf-meta is parsed as JSON and returned in reply["data"]["metadata"] by the get-sdr-parameters flow. Exploitation requires the metadata file to be readable JSON and to have a sibling .sigmf-data file, but it can disclose contents outside backend/data/recordings without authentication. This issue is fixed in version 0.4.13.

  • Aug 19, 2026Ground Station is a browser-based suite for satellite tracking, SDR reception, hardware control, and telemetry decoding.CVE-2026-53451 · Other software · sgoudelis · reported by GitHubCritical 9.8

Ground Station is a browser-based suite for satellite tracking, SDR reception, hardware control, and telemetry decoding. Prior to version 0.4.13, the unauthenticated save-waterfall-snapshot Socket.IO command passes attacker-controlled snapshotName input from backend/handlers/entities/sdr.py to backend/server/snapshots.py, where os.path.join permits an absolute path or parent-directory traversal and writes attacker-controlled base64-decoded bytes outside backend/data/snapshots. An attacker can write a logging YAML file containing a logging.config.dictConfig callable factory, use the unauthenticated update-app-config operation to set log_config to that file, and invoke restart_service. During restart, backend/common/logger.py passes the YAML through resolve_log_config_path(), yaml.safe_load(), and logging.config.dictConfig(), which executes the factory with service privileges and can also cause a persistent crash loop. This issue is fixed in version 0.4.13.

File Browser is a file managing interface for uploading, deleting, previewing, renaming, and editing files within a specified directory. Prior to 2.63.17, the Link storage struct is serialized directly by sharePostHandler, shareListHandler, and shareGetsHandler through renderJSON, causing POST /api/share/{path} and GET /api/shares to expose password_hash and the bypass token, while an administrator can retrieve these secrets for every user's shares, enabling offline password cracking and direct access to protected shares. FileBrowser before 2.63.19 does not account for case-insensitive filesystems when checking home directory ownership during self-registration. When Signup and CreateUserDir are enabled and FileBrowser's root is on a case-insensitive filesystem (confirmed on Windows/NTFS), two self-registered usernames that differ only in letter case (e.g., CaseVictim and casevictim) are stored as distinct accounts but resolve to the same physical home directory, because the scope-ownership check compares the persisted scope as an exact case-sensitive string. A second registrant can therefore read, overwrite, and delete another account's files through authenticated HTTP endpoints, without needing an existing account or victim interaction.

  • Aug 14, 2026filebrowser before 2.63.19 contains a permission bypass in the /api/resources endpoint.CVE-2026-72834 · Other software · filebrowser · reported by VulnCheckMedium 5.3

filebrowser before 2.63.19 contains a permission bypass in the /api/resources endpoint. The checksum (?checksum=) branch of resourceGetHandler reads the entire file to compute a digest and returns it without performing a Perm.Download check (unlike the sibling raw, preview, and subtitle paths). As a result, an authenticated user provisioned with Perm.Download=false can obtain a content-hash oracle for any same-scope file (md5/sha1/sha256/sha512), enabling confirmation of known/guessed content, change detection, and offline brute-force of low-entropy files. This is an incomplete fix of CVE-2026-35606; it bypasses only the Download permission and does not defeat scope/path authorization.

When OAuth authentication is enabled and browser-facing TLS terminates at a reverse proxy that forwards the callback to Temporal UI Server over HTTP, affected versions derive authentication-cookie Secure attributes from the proxy-to-server connection. Temporal UI Server can therefore issue access-token cookies, and refresh-token cookies when provided by the identity provider, without Secure even though the browser completed login over HTTPS. A victim who visits attacker-controlled content while a credential remains live may expose that credential only if the attacker can also steer traffic for the UI hostname, prevent the browser's HTTPS connection from succeeding, serve the hostname over HTTP, and read a later same-site plaintext request. A malicious website alone cannot read the cookie, and passive observation of a successful TLS connection is insufficient. Effective HSTS, a blocking HTTPS-only warning, or TLS re-encryption between the proxy and Temporal UI Server prevents the demonstrated disclosure path. A recovered credential may be replayed within the victim's assigned permissions. Refresh-token replay additionally depends on the identity provider's issuance, expiry, ro

Affected versions of cti-transmute render data obtained from a remote MISP instance into the event-browser interface using HTML interpolation. Because fields such as event IDs, event information, organization names, tags, tag colors, TLP labels, distribution labels, and error/flash text may be controlled by the remote MISP server, a malicious or compromised remote instance could return crafted values that inject HTML or script-capable content into the cti-transmute interface. The patch explicitly notes that remote-derived values must not reach innerHTML, and replaces string-built rows and badges with DOM nodes populated through textContent. It also restricts remote-controlled tag colors to six-digit hexadecimal values, preventing malicious CSS values such as url(...).

  • Aug 10, 2026URL Redirection to Untrusted Site ('Open Redirect') vulnerability in phoenixframework phoenix_live_view allows an attacker to send a victim's browser to an origCVE-2026-64941 · Other software · phoenixframework · reported by 6b3ad84c-e1a6-4bf7-a703-f496b71e49dbLow 2.1

URL Redirection to Untrusted Site ('Open Redirect') vulnerability in phoenixframework phoenix_live_view allows an attacker to send a victim's browser to an origin of the attacker's choosing via a :to value containing ASCII tab, LF or CR. redirect/2 validates :to through the private validate_local_url!/2 in lib/phoenix_live_view.ex, which is intended to guarantee the target is a path within the application. It rejects a leading // and any backslash, but not ASCII tab, LF or CR. Browsers strip those three characters before parsing a URL, so a value such as /<TAB>/example.com passes validation as a path and is then resolved as the scheme-relative URL //example.com. The live navigation functions share the guard but are not affected, because the client expands their target against the current origin. push_patch/2 is also affected before 0.7.0, which is when that expansion was added. This issue affects phoenix_live_view: from 0.5.0 before 1.0.19, from 1.1.0-rc.0 before 1.1.33, and from 1.2.0-rc.0 before 1.2.9.

An improper restriction of URL schemes and destinations in the SmartCenter browserseturl command in the Telefunken TE24553B45V2DZ Smart TV running on the Vestel MB181 / Voltron181 / TiVo OS platform allows an attacker with access to the same local network to cause the embedded browser to issue requests to unintended loopback/internal destinations, including 127.0.0.1 addresses. In demonstrated scenarios, requests initiated through the SmartCenter browserseturl mechanism could reach an internal service and receive a successful response, although the same destination was not reachable through normal browser navigation. The issue affects firmware version V2.78.0.0 and is fixed in firmware version V2.85.2.0.

  • Aug 5, 2026Cross-Site Request Forgery (CSRF) vulnerability in livebook-dev livebook allows an attacker to authenticate a victim's browser session under the attacker's own CVE-2026-66885 · Other software · livebook-dev · reported by 6b3ad84c-e1a6-4bf7-a703-f496b71e49dbMedium 6.8

Cross-Site Request Forgery (CSRF) vulnerability in livebook-dev livebook allows an attacker to authenticate a victim's browser session under the attacker's own Livebook Teams identity. When Livebook is configured to use Livebook Teams for identity, Livebook.ZTA.LivebookTeams.handle_request/4 in lib/livebook/zta/livebook_teams.ex handles the OAuth-style callback carrying a teams_identity marker and a code parameter. The clause exchanges that code for an access token and writes the token into the browser session without verifying any value that ties the callback to the browser session that started the login. No state or nonce is generated when the flow is initiated: Livebook.Teams.Requests.create_auth_request/1 in lib/livebook/teams/requests.ex sends an empty request body, so no per-attempt value is ever registered, and the callback clause has nothing to compare against. An attacker who holds membership in the same Livebook Teams organisation as the target instance can therefore begin the login flow themselves, retain the resulting authorization code without redeeming it, and induce a victim to open a crafted URL carrying that code. The victim's browser completes the exchange and t

GoAccess is a real-time web log analyzer and interactive viewer that runs in a terminal in *nix systems or through the browser. Prior to 1.11, the parse_ios() function uses an attacker-controlled keyword-to-OS offset as both the source offset and copy length for memmove, allowing a crafted User-Agent in a processed access log to read up to approximately 4 KB beyond the heap allocation and conditionally crash GoAccess.
