Aug 15, 2026In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: batman-adv: ensure minimal ethernet header on TX As documented in commit 8bd67ebb50c0 ("neCVE-2026-72232 · Computers, phones & browsers · Linux · reported by 416baaa9-dc9f-4396-8d5f-8c081fb06d67High 7.8
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: batman-adv: ensure minimal ethernet header on TX As documented in commit 8bd67ebb50c0 ("net: bridge: xmit: make sure we have at least eth header len bytes"), it is possible by for a local user with eBPF TC hook access to attach a tc filter which truncates the packet and redirects to an batadv interface. But the code assumes that at least ETH_HLEN bytes are available and thus might read outside of the available buffer. The batadv_interface_tx() must therefore always check itself if enough data is available for the ethernet header and don't rely on min_header_len.

Aug 15, 2026In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: batman-adv: tt: avoid request storms during pending request batadv_send_tt_request() allocCVE-2026-72231 · Computers, phones & browsers · Linux · reported by 416baaa9-dc9f-4396-8d5f-8c081fb06d67High 7.5
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: batman-adv: tt: avoid request storms during pending request batadv_send_tt_request() allocates a tt_req_node when none exists for the destination originator node. This should prevent that a multiple TT requests are send at the same time to an originator. But if allocation of the send buffer failed, this request must be cleaned up again. But indicator for such a failure is "ret == false". But the actual implementation is checking for "ret == true". The check must be inverted to not loose the information about the TT request directly after it was attempted to be sent out. This should avoid potential request storms.

Aug 15, 2026In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: batman-adv: frag: free unfragmentable packet The caller of batadv_frag_send_packet() assumCVE-2026-72230 · Computers, phones & browsers · Linux · reported by 416baaa9-dc9f-4396-8d5f-8c081fb06d67
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: batman-adv: frag: free unfragmentable packet The caller of batadv_frag_send_packet() assume that the skb provided to the function are always consumed. But the pre-check for an empty payload or the zero fragment size returned an error without any further actions. A failed pre-check must use the same error handling code as the rest of the function.

Aug 15, 2026In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: batman-adv: clean untagged VLAN on netdev registration failure When an mesh interface is rCVE-2026-72229 · Computers, phones & browsers · Linux · reported by 416baaa9-dc9f-4396-8d5f-8c081fb06d67
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: batman-adv: clean untagged VLAN on netdev registration failure When an mesh interface is registered, it creates an untagged struct batadv_meshif_vlan on top of it via the NETDEV_REGISTER notifier. But in this process, another receiver of this notification can veto the registration. The netdev registration will be aborted because of this veto. The register_netdevice() call will try to clean up the net_device using unregister_netdevice_queue() - which only uses the .priv_destructor to free private resources. In this situation, .dellink will not be called. The cleanup of the untagged batadv_meshif_vlan must thefore be done in the destructor to avoid a leak of this object.

Aug 15, 2026In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: batman-adv: mcast: avoid OOB read of num_dests header Before the access to struct batadv_tCVE-2026-72227 · Computers, phones & browsers · Linux · reported by 416baaa9-dc9f-4396-8d5f-8c081fb06d67High 8.1
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: batman-adv: mcast: avoid OOB read of num_dests header Before the access to struct batadv_tvlv_mcast_tracker's num_dests, it is attempted to check whether enough space is actually in the network header. But instead of using offsetofend() to check for the whole size (2) which must be accessible, offsetof() of is called. The latter is always returning 0. The comparison with the network header length will always return that enough data is available - even when only 1 or 0 bytes are accessible. Instead of using offsetofend(), use the more common check for the whole header.

Aug 15, 2026In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: batman-adv: tt: prevent TVLV OOB check overflow A TT unicast TVLV contains the number of VCVE-2026-72226 · Computers, phones & browsers · Linux · reported by 416baaa9-dc9f-4396-8d5f-8c081fb06d67Critical 9.8
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: batman-adv: tt: prevent TVLV OOB check overflow A TT unicast TVLV contains the number of VLANs stored in it. This number is an u16 and gets multiplied by the size of the struct batadv_tvlv_tt_vlan_data (8 bytes). The size can therefore overflow the u16 used to store the tt_vlan_len. All additional safety checks to prevent out-of-bounds access of the TVLV buffer are invalid due to this overflow. Using size_t prevents this overflow and ensures that the safety checks compare against the actual buffer requirements.

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: power: supply: cpcap-battery: Fix missing nvmem_device_put() causing reference leak In cpcap_battery_detect_battery_type(), the reference to an nvmem device obtained via nvmem_device_find() is not released with nvmem_device_put() on the success or read-failure paths, causing a permanent reference leak. The driver’s retry logic on subsequent battery property reads can compound this leak, preventing the nvmem device from ever being freed. Found by code review.

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: ata: libata-core: Add NOLPM quirk for PNY CS900 1TB SSD The PNY CS900 1TB SSD (Phison PS3111-S11, DRAM-less) drops off the bus after entering Device-Initiated Slumber during idle. With the default med_power_with_dipm policy the link goes down (SStatus 1 SControl 300) and does not recover, forcing the filesystem read-only. Forcing max_performance keeps the link stable across prolonged idle. Add a NOLPM quirk so link power management is disabled for this drive specifically, leaving it intact for other devices on the host.

Aug 15, 2026In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: ata: libata-core: Reject an invalid concurrent positioning ranges count ata_dev_config_cprCVE-2026-72030 · Computers, phones & browsers · Linux · reported by 416baaa9-dc9f-4396-8d5f-8c081fb06d67
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: ata: libata-core: Reject an invalid concurrent positioning ranges count ata_dev_config_cpr() takes the number of range descriptors from buf[0] of the concurrent positioning ranges log (up to 255), which the device reports independently of the log size in the GPL directory. The count is then walked at a fixed 32-byte stride in two places with no bound: the log read here, and the INQUIRY VPD page B9h emitter, which writes one descriptor per range into the fixed 2048-byte ata_scsi_rbuf. A device reporting a count larger than its own log overflows the read buffer (up to 7704 bytes past a 512-byte slab), and a count above 62 overflows the response buffer on the emit side. Bound the count once, on probe, against both the log the device returned and the number of descriptors the VPD B9h response buffer can hold (ATA_DEV_MAX_CPR, derived from the rbuf size). Reject an out-of-range count with a warning; this keeps the emitter in bounds with no separate change there.

A stored SQL injection vulnerability in Koha through 24.11.17, 25.05.12, 25.11.06, and 26.05.01 allows authenticated staff with the tools => items_batchmod permission to read arbitrary database contents by storing a SQL payload in the agefield value of an automatic item modification rule. The agefield value is stored verbatim to the system preference and later interpolated without parameterization into a SQL query in C4::Items::ToggleNewStatus (line 1228) when the scheduled cron job executes. The injection is SELECT-only under standard MariaDB/MySQL DBI single-statement execution; a time-based SLEEP payload is also achievable via the cron trigger. An attacker can read the entire Koha database including patron PII and staff bcrypt password hashes.

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: bpf: tcp: fix double sock release on batch realloc bpf_iter_tcp_batch() releases the current batch via bpf_iter_tcp_put_batch(), which drops the socket refs and rewrites each slot with the socket cookie, then grows the batch. cur_sk/end_sk are kept for bpf_iter_tcp_resume(), but on realloc failure the function returns ERR_PTR() before resume runs, leaving cur_sk < end_sk over slots that now hold cookies rather than sock pointers. bpf_iter_tcp_seq_stop() then calls bpf_iter_tcp_put_batch() again and dereferences a cookie as a struct sock. Empty the batch on the failure path so stop() does not release it again. The sockets were already freed by the first bpf_iter_tcp_put_batch(), so nothing leaks, and a later read() rescans the bucket from the start instead of skipping it. The sibling GFP_NOWAIT failure path still holds real socket references and is left for stop() to release. Jul 29, 2026@fastify/rate-limit before 11.2.0 keys rate-limit buckets by the verbatim client IP string returned from request.ip.CVE-2026-15144 · Other software · @fastify/rate-limit · reported by ce714d77-add3-4f53-aff5-83d477b104bbHigh 7.3
@fastify/rate-limit before 11.2.0 keys rate-limit buckets by the verbatim client IP string returned from request.ip. Because a single IPv6 client can control a large address range (a /64 holds 2^64 distinct addresses) and the same address has multiple valid textual representations, an IPv6 capable client can defeat the rate-limit boundary by rotating addresses or by rewriting the same address in different forms. Applications that use @fastify/rate-limit to protect endpoints such as authentication, password reset, OTP delivery, or expensive API calls can be bypassed by IPv6 clients behind a proxy that surfaces IPv6 to the origin when trustProxy is enabled. The issue is fixed in @fastify/rate-limit 11.2.0, where the default key generator normalizes IPv6 addresses to their canonical form, collapses IPv4 mapped IPv6 to IPv4, and applies a configurable prefix mask (default /64) via a new ipv6Subnet option.

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: batman-adv: bla: fix report_work leak on backbone_gw purge batadv_bla_purge_backbone_gw() removes stale backbone gateway entries, but fails to properly handle their associated report_work: - If report_work is running, the purge must wait for it to finish before freeing the backbone_gw, otherwise the worker may access freed memory (e.g. bat_priv). - If report_work is pending, the purge must cancel it and release the reference held for that pending work item. The previous implementation called hlist_for_each_entry_safe() inside a spin_lock_bh() section, but cancel_work_sync() may sleep and therefore cannot be called from within a spinlock-protected region. Restructure the loop to handle one entry per spinlock critical section: acquire the lock, find the next entry to purge, remove it from the hash list, then release the lock before calling cancel_work_sync() and dropping the hash_entry reference. Repeat until no more entries require purging.

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: batman-adv: mcast: fix use-after-free in orig_node RCU release batadv_mcast_purge_orig() removes entries from RCU-protected hlists but does not wait for an RCU grace period before returning. Concurrent RCU readers may still accesses references to those entries at the point of removal. RCU-protected readers trying to operate on entries like orig->mcast_want_all_ipv6_node will then access already freed memory. Fix this by moving batadv_mcast_purge_orig() to batadv_orig_node_release(), just before the call_rcu() invocation. This ensures RCU readers that were active at purge time have drained before the orig_node memory is reclaimed.

Jul 19, 2026In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: batman-adv: bla: avoid double decrement of bla.num_requests The bla.num_requests is increaCVE-2026-64095 · Computers, phones & browsers · Linux · reported by 416baaa9-dc9f-4396-8d5f-8c081fb06d67High 7.1
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: batman-adv: bla: avoid double decrement of bla.num_requests The bla.num_requests is increased when no request_sent was in progress. And it is decremented in various places (announcement was received, backbone is purged, periodic work). But the check if the request_sent is actually set to a specific state and the atomic_dec/_inc are not safe because they are not atomic (TOCTOU) and multiple such code portions can run concurrently. At the same time, it is necessary to modify request_sent (state) and bla.num_requests atomically. Otherwise batadv_bla_send_request() might set request_sent to 1 and is interrupted. batadv_handle_announce() can then set request_sent back to 0 and decrement num_requests before batadv_bla_send_request() incremented it. The two operations must therefore be locked. And since state (request_sent) and wait_periods are only accessed inside this lock, they can be converted to simpler datatypes. And to avoid that the bla.num_requests is touched by a parallel running context with a valid backbone_gw reference after batadv_bla_purge_backbone_gw() ran, a third state "stopped" is required to corre

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: batman-adv: tp_meter: directly shut down timer on cleanup batadv_tp_sender_cleanup() was calling timer_delete_sync() followed by timer_delete() to guard against the timer handler re-arming itself between the two calls. This double-deletion hack relied on the sending status being set to 0 to suppress re-arming. Replace both calls with a single timer_shutdown_sync(). This function both waits for any running timer callback to complete (like timer_delete_sync()) and permanently disarms the timer so it cannot be re-armed afterwards, making re-arming prevention unconditional and self-documenting. The re-arming property is also required because otherwise: 1. context 0 (batadv_tp_recv_ack()) checks in batadv_tp_reset_sender_timer() if sending is still 1 -> it is 2. context 1 changes in batadv_tp_sender_shutdown() sending to 0 and in this process forces the kthread to stop timer in batadv_tp_sender_cleanup() 3. context 0 continues in batadv_tp_reset_sender_timer() and rearms the timer -> but the reference for it is already gone

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: batman-adv: tp_meter: fix tp_vars reference leak in receiver shutdown The receiver shutdown timer handler, batadv_tp_receiver_shutdown(), is responsible for releasing the tp_vars reference it holds. However, the existing logic for coordinating this release with batadv_tp_stop_all() was flawed. timer_shutdown_sync() guarantees the timer will not fire again after it returns, but it returns non-zero only when the timer was pending at the time of the call. If the timer had already expired (and batadv_tp_stop_all() would unsucessfully try to rearm itself), batadv_tp_stop_all() skips its batadv_tp_vars_put(), and batadv_tp_receiver_shutdown() fails to put its own reference as well. Fix this by introducing a new atomic variable receiving that is set to 1 when the receiver is initialized and cleared atomically with atomic_xchg() by whichever side claims it first. Only the side that observes the transition from 1 to 0 is responsible for releasing the tp_vars timer reference, eliminating the uncertainty.

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: batman-adv: tt: fix TOCTOU race for reported vlans The local TT based TVLV is generated by first checking the number of VLANs which have at least one TT entry. A new buffer with the correct size for the VLANs is then allocated. Only then, the list of VLANs s used to fill the VLAN entries in the buffer. During this time, the meshif_vlan_list_lock is held. But the actual number of TT entries of each VLAN can still increase during this time - just not the number of VLANs in the list. But the prefilter used in the buffer size calculation might still cause an increase of the number of VLANs which need to be stored. Simply because a VLAN might now suddenly have at least one entry when it had none in the pre-alloc check - and then needs to occupy space which was not allocated. It is better to overestimate the buffer size at the beginning and then fill the buffer only with the VLANs which are not empty.

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: batman-adv: tp_meter: avoid divide-by-zero for dec_cwnd The cwnd is always MSS <= cwnd <= 0x20000000. But the calculation in batadv_tp_update_cwnd() assumes unsigned 32 bit arithmetics. ((mss * 8) ** 2) / (cwnd * 8) In case cwnd is actually 0x20000000, it will be shifted by 3 bit to the left end up at 0x100000000 or U32_MAX + 1. It will therefore wrap around and be 0 - resulting in: ((mss * 8) ** 2) / 0 This is of course invalid and cannot be calculated. The calculation should must be simplified to avoid this overflow: (mss ** 2) * 8 / cwnd It will keep the precision enhancement from the scaling (by 8) but avoid the overflow in the divisor. In theory, there could still be an overflow in the dividend. It is at the moment fixed to BATADV_TP_PLEN in batadv_tp_recv_ack() - so it is not an imminent problem. But allowing it to use the whole u32 bit range, would mean that it can still use up to 67 bits. To keep this calculation safe for 32 bit arithmetic, mss must never use more than floor((32 - 3) / 2) bits - or in other words: must never be larger than 16383.

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: batman-adv: v: prevent OGM aggregation on disabled hardif When an interface gets disabled, the worker is correctly disabled by batadv_hardif_disable_interface() -> ... -> batadv_v_ogm_iface_disable(). In this process, the skb aggr_list is also freed. But batadv_v_ogm_send_meshif() can still queue new skbs (via batadv_v_ogm_queue_on_if()) to the aggr_list. This will only stop after all cores can no longer find the RCU protected list of hard interfaces. These queued skbs will never be freed or consumed by batadv_v_ogm_aggr_work. The batadv_v_ogm_iface_disable() function must block batadv_v_ogm_queue_on_if() to avoid leak of skbs.

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: batman-adv: tp_meter: restrict number of unacked list entries When the unacked_list is unbound, an attacker could send messages with small lengths and appropriated seqno + gaps to force the receiver to allocate more and more unacked_list entries. And the end either causing an out-of-memory situation or increase the management overhead for the (large) list that significant portions of CPU cycles are wasted in searching through the list. When limiting the list to a specific number, it is important to still correctly add a new entry to the list. But if the list became larger than the limit, the last entry of the list (with the highest seqno) must be dropped to still allow the earlier seqnos to finish and therefore to continue the process. Otherwise, the process might get stuck with too high seqnos which are not handled by batadv_tp_ack_unordered().

Netdata before 2.3.1 reflects the user-supplied love query parameter of the api/v2/ilove.svg and api/v3/ilove.svg endpoints verbatim into the generated SVG document (into a text element) without HTML or XML escaping, and serves the response with Content-Type image/svg+xml. An attacker can craft a URL such as /api/v2/ilove.svg?love=<script>...</script>; when a victim navigates to it the injected script executes in the victim browser in the origin of the Netdata instance (reflected cross-site scripting). These endpoints are registered with HTTP_ACL_NOCHECK and anonymous access and, because bearer-token protection is disabled by default, are reachable without authentication on a default Netdata agent. The issue was resolved by removing the ilove endpoint.

SeaweedFS before 4.30 reflects the callback query parameter verbatim into responses served with Content-Type application/javascript in the shared writeJson helper (weed/server/common.go), with no callback-name validation, no X-Content-Type-Options: nosniff header, and no CORS allow-list. Every JSON endpoint that uses writeJson - including the unauthenticated master endpoints /dir/status, /dir/lookup and /cluster/status, the volume server /status, and the filer directory listing, all reachable in the default configuration (no -whiteList, no security.toml, bound to 0.0.0.0) - can therefore be loaded cross-origin via a script tag with a chosen callback, letting a third-party web page read cluster topology, volume server URLs and gRPC ports, file identifiers, and directory listings. In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: batman-adv: tvlv: reject oversized TVLV packets batadv_tvlv_container_ogm_append() builds a TVLV packet section from the tvlv.container_list. The total size of this section is computed by batadv_tvlv_container_list_size(), which sums the sizes of all registered containers. The return type and accumulator in batadv_tvlv_container_list_size() were u16. If the accumulated size exceeds U16_MAX, the value wraps around, causing the subsequent allocation in batadv_tvlv_container_ogm_append() to be undersized. The memcpy-style copy that follows would then write beyond the end of the allocated buffer, corrupting kernel memory. Fix this by widening the return type of batadv_tvlv_container_list_size() to size_t. In batadv_tvlv_container_ogm_append(), check the computed length against U16_MAX before proceeding, and bail out as if the allocation had failed when the limit is exceeded.

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: batman-adv: fix tp_meter counter underflow during shutdown batadv_tp_sender_shutdown() unconditionally decrements the "sending" atomic counter. If multiple paths (e.g. timeout, user cancel, and normal finish) call this function, the counter can underflow to -1. Since the sender logic treats any non-zero value as "still sending", a negative value causes the sender kthread to loop indefinitely. This leads to a use-after-free when the interface is removed while the zombie thread is still active. Fix this by using atomic_xchg() to ensure the counter only transitions from 1 to 0 once. In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: batman-adv: frag: disallow unicast fragment in fragment batadv_frag_skb_buffer() is called by batadv_batman_skb_recv() when a BATADV_UNICAST_FRAG packet is received. Once all fragments are collected and the packet is reassembled, batadv_recv_frag_packet() calls batadv_batman_skb_recv() again to process the defragmented payload. A malicious sender can craft a BATADV_UNICAST_FRAG packet whose reassembled payload is itself a BATADV_UNICAST_FRAG packet (matryoshka-style nesting). Each nesting level recurses through batadv_batman_skb_recv() without bound, growing the kernel stack until it is exhausted. Since refragmentation or fragments in fragments are not actually allowed, discard all packets which are still BATADV_UNICAST_FRAG packets after the defragmentation process.

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: batman-adv: fix fragment reassembly length accounting batman-adv keeps a running payload length for queued fragments and uses it to validate a fragment chain before reassembly. That accounting currently allows the accumulated fragment length to be truncated during updates. As a result, malformed fragment chains can bypass the intended validation and drive reassembly with inconsistent length state, leading to a local denial of service. Fix the accounting by storing the accumulated length in a length-typed field and rejecting update overflows before the existing validation logic runs.
