  • Sep 24, 2026In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: netfilter: nf_conntrack: use get_unaligned_be32() in tcp_sack() The timestamp-only fast paCVE-2026-97417 · Computers, phones & browsers · Linux · reported by 416baaa9-dc9f-4396-8d5f-8c081fb06d67High 7.5

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: netfilter: nf_conntrack: use get_unaligned_be32() in tcp_sack() The timestamp-only fast path dereferences the option stream as *(__be32 *)ptr, which assumes 4-byte alignment that the TCP option stream does not guarantee. Use get_unaligned_be32() instead, which reads the value safely and already returns host byte order, so the htonl() on the comparison constant can be dropped. This matches the existing get_unaligned_be32() use later in the same function.

  • Sep 24, 2026In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: net: ibm: emac: mal: fix potential system hang in mal_remove() napi_disable() is not idempCVE-2026-97411 · Computers, phones & browsers · Linux · reported by 416baaa9-dc9f-4396-8d5f-8c081fb06d67

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: net: ibm: emac: mal: fix potential system hang in mal_remove() napi_disable() is not idempotent and calling it on an already-disabled or unenabled NAPI context will cause the kernel to spin indefinitely waiting for the NAPI_STATE_SCHED bit to clear. In mal_remove(), napi_disable() is called unconditionally. If no MACs were registered, NAPI was never enabled. Also, if they were registered but subsequently unregistered, NAPI was already disabled in mal_unregister_commac(). In either case, calling napi_disable() causes the kernel to hang upon module removal. Fix this by only calling napi_disable() in mal_remove() if the commac list is not empty (which implies NAPI is enabled).

  • Sep 24, 2026In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: netconsole: take target_cleanup_list_lock in drop_netconsole_target() drop_netconsole_targCVE-2026-97410 · Computers, phones & browsers · Linux · reported by 416baaa9-dc9f-4396-8d5f-8c081fb06d67

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: netconsole: take target_cleanup_list_lock in drop_netconsole_target() drop_netconsole_target() unlinks the target while only holding target_list_lock. However, when the underlying interface has been unregistered, netconsole_netdev_event() moves the target from target_list to target_cleanup_list, and netconsole_process_cleanups_core() walks that list under target_cleanup_list_lock only. If a user removes the configfs target at the same time the cleanup worker is iterating target_cleanup_list, list_del() can corrupt the list because the two paths take disjoint locks while operating on the same list node. Acquire target_cleanup_list_lock around the list_del() so the unlink is serialised against netconsole_process_cleanups_core() regardless of which list the target currently belongs to. The state transition that downgrades STATE_DEACTIVATED to STATE_DISABLED is left intact and is performed under the same combined locking, preserving the existing ordering with resume_target().

  • Sep 24, 2026In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: net: stmmac: xgmac2: disable RBUE in default RX interrupt mask Enabling the RX Buffer UnavCVE-2026-93830 · Computers, phones & browsers · Linux · reported by 416baaa9-dc9f-4396-8d5f-8c081fb06d67High 7.5

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: net: stmmac: xgmac2: disable RBUE in default RX interrupt mask Enabling the RX Buffer Unavailable (RBUE) interrupt is counterproductive and can trigger a MAC interrupt storm under heavy RX pressure. When the DMA runs out of RX descriptors it fires RBUE continuously until software refills the ring. However, RBUE is redundant: the normal RX completion interrupt (RIE) already triggers NAPI, which processes completed descriptors and refills the ring, causing the DMA to resume. The RBUE handler itself only sets handle_rx - the same outcome as RIE. On Agilex5 under heavy RX pressure, the MAC interrupt (which includes RBUE) was observed firing 1,821,811,555 times against only 2,618,627 actual RX completions - a ~695x ratio - confirming the severity of the storm. RBUE does not provide OOM recovery. If page_pool is exhausted, stmmac_rx_refill() cannot advance the DMA tail pointer, the DMA stays suspended, and RBUE fires again on the next NAPI completion - a storm with no forward progress. This patch trades that storm for a clean stall with the same RX outcome. Proper OOM recovery is a pre-existing gap outside the scope

  • Sep 24, 2026In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: net: au1000: move free_irq out of the close-time spinlocked section au1000_close() calls fCVE-2026-93815 · Computers, phones & browsers · Linux · reported by 416baaa9-dc9f-4396-8d5f-8c081fb06d67

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: net: au1000: move free_irq out of the close-time spinlocked section au1000_close() calls free_irq() while aup->lock is still held with spin_lock_irqsave(). free_irq() can sleep because it takes the IRQ descriptor request mutex, so it does not belong inside the close-time spinlocked section. This was found by our static analysis tool and then confirmed by manual review of the in-tree au1000_close() .ndo_stop path. The reviewed path keeps aup->lock held across the MAC reset, queue stop and free_irq(dev->irq, dev). A directed runtime validation kept that ndo_stop carrier and the same free_irq(dev->irq, dev) operation under the driver lock. Lockdep reported "BUG: sleeping function called from invalid context" and "Invalid wait context" while free_irq() was taking desc->request_mutex, with au1000_close() and free_irq() on the stack. Drop aup->lock before freeing the IRQ. The protected close-time work still stops the device and queue before IRQ teardown, but the sleepable IRQ core path now runs outside the spinlocked section.

  • Sep 24, 2026In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: netfilter: nfnetlink_log: wait for rcu grace period before freeing pernet state sashiko reCVE-2026-93288 · Computers, phones & browsers · Linux · reported by 416baaa9-dc9f-4396-8d5f-8c081fb06d67High 7.8

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: netfilter: nfnetlink_log: wait for rcu grace period before freeing pernet state sashiko reports: "nfnl_log_net_exit() calls nf_log_unset(), which clears the logger pointer without an RCU grace period. Immediately after, ops_free_list() frees the per-net state while concurrent packets might still be executing nf_log_packet() under rcu_read_lock()." Clear the pointer via .pre_exit to make sure rcu readers have completed before pernet storage is free'd. The change in nf_log_syslog.c is only done for consistency: it doesn't use pernet data.

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: nfsd: convert nfsd_net boolean flags to unsigned long flags word nfsd_net contains several boolean fields that are accessed from concurrent contexts without serialization. In particular, nfsd4_end_grace() guards its drain path with a plain bool: if (nn->grace_ended) return; nn->grace_ended = true; The read and the write are independent, and nothing in struct nfsd_net serializes them. At least two contexts can reach this code with no lock held: laundromat path laundry_wq kworker nfs4_laundromat() nfsd4_end_grace() RECLAIM_COMPLETE path nfsd compound kthread nfsd4_reclaim_complete() inc_reclaim_complete() nfsd4_end_grace() Both callers can observe grace_ended == false on different CPUs, both store true, and both proceed into nfsd4_record_grace_done(), which invokes the active client_tracking_ops->grace_done callback. For tracking ops that drain reclaim_str_hashtbl (legacy_tracking_ops via nfsd4_recdir_purge_old, and the cld v1+ ops via nfsd4_cld_grace_done), grace_done calls nfs4_release_reclaim(), which walks every bucke

  • Sep 24, 2026In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: nfsd: guard nfsd_serv deref in nfsd_file_net_dispose nfsd_file_net_dispose() is the consumCVE-2026-93212 · Computers, phones & browsers · Linux · reported by 416baaa9-dc9f-4396-8d5f-8c081fb06d67

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: nfsd: guard nfsd_serv deref in nfsd_file_net_dispose nfsd_file_net_dispose() is the consumer side of l->freeme: the nfsd service thread loop calls it to drain entries that the filecache garbage collector and shrinker append via nfsd_file_dispose_list_delayed(). During per-net teardown, nn->nfsd_serv is cleared before the filecache laundrette is shut down, so the service thread can still run a dispose pass that finds more than eight entries on l->freeme and dereferences a NULL svc_serv: nfsd service thread loop nfsd_file_net_dispose(nn) if (!list_empty(&l->freeme)) { ... svc_wake_up(nn->nfsd_serv); /* nn->nfsd_serv == NULL */ } The sibling helper nfsd_file_dispose_list_delayed() already documents this ordering and caches nn->nfsd_serv into a local before testing it for NULL. nfsd_file_net_dispose() was introduced with the same raw svc_wake_up(nn->nfsd_serv) call and never picked up the guard. Fix by loading nn->nfsd_serv into a local svc_serv pointer and only calling svc_wake_up() when it is non-NULL, matching the pattern in nfsd_file_dispose_list_delayed().

  • Sep 24, 2026PRTG Network Monitor before version 26.2.120.1449 ships a demo EXE/Script sensor that multiplies two integer parameters using cscript.exe.CVE-2026-4638 · Other software · Paessler GmbH · reported by 551230f0-3615-47bd-b7cc-93e92e730bbfHigh 7.1

PRTG Network Monitor before version 26.2.120.1449 ships a demo EXE/Script sensor that multiplies two integer parameters using cscript.exe. If a non-numeric value is passed instead, cscript.exe raises a 'Type mismatch' runtime error that includes the offending parameter value in plaintext. PRTG provides a documented placeholder variable, %windowspassword, which resolves to the configured Windows/domain password used by PRTG and can be passed as a sensor parameter.  Any PRTG user who is not restricted to read-only access and is permitted to create sensors (the default for non-read-only users) can pass %windowspassword as an argument to the demo VBScript sensor, triggering the type-mismatch error and causing PRTG to display the plaintext password in the sensor's error output.

Paessler PRTG Network Monitor before version 26.2.120.1449 is affected by a reflected Cross-Site Scripting (XSS) vulnerability. When a request is made for a non-existent resource ending in \".htm\", the web interface returns an HTTP 403 \"Forbidden Path\" error page that echoes the requested URL path into the HTML response body without proper output encoding or sanitization. An unauthenticated, remote attacker can craft a URL containing an HTML/JavaScript payload in the path (e.g. https:////welcome.htm) and, once a victim with an active PRTG session opens the crafted link, execute arbitrary JavaScript in the security context of the PRTG web interface. Because the PRTG session cookie is not protected with the HttpOnly attribute, successful exploitation allows the attacker to read and exfiltrate the victim's session cookie, potentially leading to session hijacking.

A user with only extras.add_approvalworkflowstageresponse can submit approved responses directly, while writable user and state fields permit responses to be attributed to arbitrary users. These forged responses can satisfy min_approvers, approve the workflow, and activate its gated ScheduledJob without a legitimate approver. This issue is fixed in version 3.1.8.

  • Sep 22, 2026Nautobot is a Network Source of Truth and Network Automation Platform.CVE-2026-83801 · Other software · nautobot · reported by GitHubMedium 5.4

Nautobot is a Network Source of Truth and Network Automation Platform. Prior to 2.4.37 and 3.1.8, a user with extras.add_relationship or extras.change_relationship permission can store HTML or JavaScript in a Relationship description, and a user with dcim.add_modulefamily or dcim.change_modulefamily permission can store it in a Module Family name. Nautobot assigns these values to form field help_text rendered by render_field.html through Django's |safe filter without adequate neutralization. The stored content executes in the authenticated browser session of any user, including an administrator or superuser, who opens an affected create or edit form. This can enable actions as the victim, session or token theft, and further privilege escalation. This issue is fixed in versions 2.4.37 and 3.1.8.

Netdata is an open source observability tool. Prior to 2.11.0, Netdata's unauthenticated WebSocket server negotiates permessage-deflate before authentication, and src/web/websocket/websocket-compression.c allows websocket_client_decompress_message() to grow decompressed output toward WS_MAX_DECOMPRESSED_SIZE without enforcing a compressed-to-decompressed ratio. Small highly compressed frames can therefore cause large server-side allocations, and repeated concurrent connections can exhaust memory and terminate monitoring. • Sep 22, 2026Net::IDN::Punycode versions before 2.590 for Perl hang, crash or return a wrong label via unvalidated malformed UTF-8 in encode_punycode.CVE-2026-87082 · Other software · reported by 9b29abf9-4ab0-4765-b253-1875cd9b441eHigh 7.5

Net::IDN::Punycode versions before 2.590 for Perl hang, crash or return a wrong label via unvalidated malformed UTF-8 in encode_punycode. Neither backend checks that its input is well-formed UTF-8, so a string with the UTF-8 flag set over malformed bytes, as the :utf8 PerlIO layer produces from any malformed input, reaches the encoder unchecked. On perl 5.32 and later the XS backend reports a malformed sequence with a length of `(STRLEN)-1`, so the scan steps back one byte instead of forward and never ends. On earlier perls the XS returns a valid label for a different name. The pure-Perl backend runs a regex over the flagged string. Depending on the bytes, it aborts with SIGBUS on perl 5.28 and later, dies with a panic, or returns a wrong label. The documented conversion functions match the label against Unicode properties first and that match dies on such a string, so only a direct call to encode_punycode reaches the defect. The decoder is not affected. A direct caller encoding attacker-supplied bytes hangs, crashes or gets a label for a name the input never held.

  • Sep 22, 2026Net::IDN::UTS46 versions before 2.590 for Perl allow CPU exhaustion via quadratic punycode encoding of an overlong label before the length check in to_ascii.CVE-2026-87081 · Other software · reported by 9b29abf9-4ab0-4765-b253-1875cd9b441eHigh 7.5

Net::IDN::UTS46 versions before 2.590 for Perl allow CPU exhaustion via quadratic punycode encoding of an overlong label before the length check in to_ascii. to_ascii punycode encodes each label and only then applies the 63-byte DNS limit. encode_punycode in both backends follows the sample implementation in RFC 3492, whose outer loop runs once per distinct non-ASCII code point and scans the whole input each round, so a label of distinct non-ASCII characters costs the square of its length before the limit rejects it. Every ASCII conversion in the distribution, including domain_to_ascii and email_to_ascii, goes through to_ascii.

  • Sep 22, 2026Net::IDN::Punycode::PP versions before 2.590 for Perl decode a truncated label to a name containing a character it never encoded in decode_punycode.CVE-2026-87080 · Other software · reported by 9b29abf9-4ab0-4765-b253-1875cd9b441eCritical 9.1

Net::IDN::Punycode::PP versions before 2.590 for Perl decode a truncated label to a name containing a character it never encoded in decode_punycode. The pure-Perl decoder reads one digit at a time with four-argument substr and tests the result with defined to detect the end of the input. substr on an exhausted string returns the empty string rather than undef, so decoding continues past the end. The empty string converts to a digit value below the range, reducing the accumulator, and the decoder derives one extra code point and its position from it. The result is deterministic. The XS backend rejects the same label. Net::IDN::Punycode uses this backend wherever the XS does not build. The two backends disagree about what such a label means, so a sender can pick a label that one installation resolves to a name and another rejects.
