  • May 12, 2026basic-ftp is an FTP client for Node.js.CVE-2026-44240 · Other software · patrickjuchli · reported by GitHubHigh 7.5

basic-ftp is an FTP client for Node.js. Prior to 5.3.1, basic-ftp is vulnerable to client-side denial of service when parsing FTP control-channel multiline responses. A malicious or compromised FTP server can send an unterminated multiline response during the initial FTP banner phase, before authentication. The client keeps appending attacker-controlled data into FtpContext._partialResponse and repeatedly reparses the accumulated buffer without enforcing a maximum control response size. As a result, an application using basic-ftp can remain stuck in connect() while memory and CPU usage grow under attacker-controlled input. This can lead to process-level denial of service, container OOM kills, worker restarts, queue backlog, or service degradation in applications that automatically connect to FTP endpoints. This vulnerability is fixed in 5.3.1.

Cleanuparr is a tool for automating the cleanup of unwanted or blocked files in Sonarr, Radarr, and supported download clients like qBittorrent. Prior to 2.9.10, Cleanuparr's global CORS policy reflects every request Origin and combines it with AllowCredentials(). When DisableAuthForLocalAddresses is enabled, the API also authenticates requests purely by source IP via TrustedNetworkAuthenticationHandler. The combination lets any website that an admin (or any user on a trusted IP) visits read authenticated API responses cross-origin — including the admin's permanent API key. Cleanuparr is a tool for automating the cleanup of unwanted or blocked files in Sonarr, Radarr, and supported download clients like qBittorrent. Prior to 2.9.10, TrustedNetworkAuthenticationHandler.ResolveClientIp parses the leftmost entry of the X-Forwarded-For header as the client IP. That entry is attacker-controlled — X-Forwarded-For is append-only, so the leftmost value is whatever the original HTTP client claimed. By sending a spoofed local IP in the header, an unauthenticated remote attacker passes the trusted-network check and is logged in as the Cleanuparr administrator. • May 12, 2026OpenTelemetry.OpAmp.Client is the OpAMP client for OpenTelemetry .NET.CVE-2026-42348 · Other software · open-telemetry · reported by GitHubMedium 5.9

OpenTelemetry.OpAmp.Client is the OpAMP client for OpenTelemetry .NET. Prior to 0.2.0-alpha.1, when receiving responses from the OpAMP server over HTTP, the OpAMP client allocates an unbounded buffer to read all bytes from the server, with no upper-bound on the number of bytes consumed. This could cause memory exhaustion in the consuming application if the configured OpAMP server is attacker-controlled (or a network attacker can MitM the connection) and an extremely large body is returned in the response. This vulnerability is fixed in 0.2.0-alpha.1.

  • May 11, 2026Pi-hole is a DNS sinkhole that protects devices from unwanted content without installing any client-side software.CVE-2026-41489 · Other software · pi-hole · reported by GitHubHigh 8.8

Pi-hole is a DNS sinkhole that protects devices from unwanted content without installing any client-side software. From 6.0 to before Core 6.4.2 and FTL 6.6.1, two shell scripts executed as root by systemd (pihole-FTL-prestart.sh and pihole-FTL-poststop.sh) read the files.pid path from this config without validation and use it in privileged file operations (install and rm -f). By writing an arbitrary path into files.pid, an attacker with pihole privilege can cause root to delete and then recreate any file on the system outside the ProtectSystem=full-restricted directories, gaining write access to it. On a default Pi-hole installation this yields local privilege escalation to root via SSH authorized keys manipulation. If /root/.ssh/authorized_keys does not exist (default on fresh installs), only ExecStartPre is required. If the file exists, ExecStopPost deletes it first, and the same restart triggers both hooks in sequence. This vulnerability is fixed in Core 6.4.2 and FTL 6.6.1.

  • May 8, 2026Akamai Guardicore Platform Agent (GPA) and Zero Trust Client on Linux and macOS allow TOCTOU-based local privilege escalation.CVE-2026-34354 · Other software · Akamai · reported by MITREHigh 7.4

Akamai Guardicore Platform Agent (GPA) and Zero Trust Client on Linux and macOS allow TOCTOU-based local privilege escalation. The GPA service creates an IPC socket in the world-writable /tmp directory. It accepts unauthenticated IPC control messages. This enables a TOCTOU vulnerability in the HandleSaveLogs() function of the GPA service, by creating a log file and manipulating it into a symlink that points to the targeted path; this can allow an unprivileged local user to make arbitrary root-owned files world-writable. In addition, a diagnostic collection tool (gimmelogs) running with root privileges was vulnerable to command injection from the dbstore, offering a second privilege escalation vector. (On Windows, gimmelogs does not have command injection but does allow writing a ZIP archive to an unintended location.) This affects Akamai Guardicore Platform Agent 7.0 through 7.3.1 and Akamai Zero Trust Client 6.0 through 6.1.5.

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: smb: client: fix in-place encryption corruption in SMB2_write() SMB2_write() places write payload in iov[1..n] as part of rq_iov. smb3_init_transform_rq() pointer-shares rq_iov, so crypt_message() encrypts iov[1] in-place, replacing the original plaintext with ciphertext. On a replayable error, the retry sends the same iov[1] which now contains ciphertext instead of the original data, resulting in corruption. The corruption is most likely to be observed when connections are unstable, as reconnects trigger write retries that re-send the already-encrypted data. This affects SFU mknod, MF symlinks, etc. On kernels before 6.10 (prior to the netfs conversion), sync writes also used this path and were similarly affected. The async write path wasn't unaffected as it uses rq_iter which gets deep-copied. Fix by moving the write payload into rq_iter via iov_iter_kvec(), so smb3_init_transform_rq() deep-copies it before encryption.

  • May 8, 2026In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: smb: client: require a full NFS mode SID before reading mode bits parse_dacl() treats an ACVE-2026-43350 · Computers, phones & browsers · Linux · reported by 416baaa9-dc9f-4396-8d5f-8c081fb06d67High 7.6

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: smb: client: require a full NFS mode SID before reading mode bits parse_dacl() treats an ACE SID matching sid_unix_NFS_mode as an NFS mode SID and reads sid.sub_auth[2] to recover the mode bits. That assumes the ACE carries three subauthorities, but compare_sids() only compares min(a, b) subauthorities. A malicious server can return an ACE with num_subauth = 2 and sub_auth[] = {88, 3}, which still matches sid_unix_NFS_mode and then drives the sub_auth[2] read four bytes past the end of the ACE. Require num_subauth >= 3 before treating the ACE as an NFS mode SID. This keeps the fix local to the special-SID mode path without changing compare_sids() semantics for the rest of cifsacl.

  • May 8, 2026The optional extension component TinkerpopClientService is missing the Restricted annotation with the Execute Code Required Permission in Apache NiFi 2.0.0-M1 tCVE-2026-39816 · Websites & servers · Apache Software Foundation · reported by security@apache.orgHigh 7.5

The optional extension component TinkerpopClientService is missing the Restricted annotation with the Execute Code Required Permission in Apache NiFi 2.0.0-M1 through 2.8.0. The TinkerpopClientService supports configuration of ByteCode Submission for the Script Submission Type, enabling Groovy Script execution in the service prior to submitting the query. The missing Restricted annotation allows users without the Execute Code Permission to configure the Service in installations that use fine-grained authorization and have the optional TinkerpopClientService installed. Apache NiFi installations that do not have the nifi-other-graph-services-nar installed are not subject to this vulnerability. Upgrading to Apache NiFi 2.9.0 is the recommended mitigation.

electerm is an open-sourced terminal/ssh/sftp/telnet/serialport/RDP/VNC/Spice/ftp client. Prior to version 3.7.9, a code execution (RCE) vulnerability exists in electerm's SFTP open with system editor or "Edit with custom editor" feature. When a user opts to edit a file using open with system editor or open with a custom editor, the filename is passed directly into a command line without sanitization. A malicious actor controlling the SSH server or user OS can exploit this by crafting a filename containing shell metacharacters. If a victim subsequently attempts to edit this file, the injected commands are executed on their machine with the user's privileges. This could allow the attacker to run arbitrary code, install malware, or move laterally within the network. This issue has been patched in version 3.7.9.

  • May 8, 2026electerm is an open-sourced terminal/ssh/sftp/telnet/serialport/RDP/VNC/Spice/ftp client.CVE-2026-43942 · Other software · electerm · reported by GitHubMedium 5.5

electerm is an open-sourced terminal/ssh/sftp/telnet/serialport/RDP/VNC/Spice/ftp client. In versions 3.8.15 and prior, the getConstants() IPC handler in src/app/lib/ipc-sync.js serialises the entire process.env object and sends it to the renderer. The data is stored as window.pre.env and is accessible from any JavaScript running in the renderer (e.g., via the DevTools console or a compromised webview context). An attacker who achieves any JavaScript execution within the renderer can trivially exfiltrate these secrets to a remote server, leading to cloud account compromise, supply chain attacks, and lateral movement. At time of publication, there are no publicly available patches.

electerm is an open-sourced terminal/ssh/sftp/telnet/serialport/RDP/VNC/Spice/ftp client. In versions 3.8.15 and prior, Electerm's terminal hyperlink handler passes any URL clicked in the terminal directly to shell.openExternal without any protocol validation. An attacker who controls terminal output (e.g., via a malicious SSH server, compromised remote host, or malicious plugin rendering terminal content) can thus achieve arbitrary code execution or local file access on the victim's machine, requiring only that the victim clicks a displayed link. • May 8, 2026electerm is an open-sourced terminal/ssh/sftp/telnet/serialport/RDP/VNC/Spice/ftp client.CVE-2026-43940 · Other software · electerm · reported by GitHubHigh 8.4

electerm is an open-sourced terminal/ssh/sftp/telnet/serialport/RDP/VNC/Spice/ftp client. Prior to version 3.7.16, the runWidget function in src/app/widgets/load-widget.js constructs a file path by directly concatenating user‑supplied widget identifiers without any sanitisation. Because runWidget is exposed to the renderer process via an asynchronous IPC handler with no input validation, an attacker who achieves JavaScript execution inside the renderer (for example, through a malicious plugin or a cross‑site scripting flaw in the built‑in webview) can abuse a path traversal (../) to load and execute an arbitrary JavaScript file anywhere on the victim’s filesystem. This gives the attacker local code execution with the full privileges of the electerm process, leading to complete system compromise. This issue has been patched in version 3.7.16.

Axios is a promise based HTTP client for the browser and Node.js. From version 1.0.0 to before version 1.15.2, fFive config properties (auth, baseURL, socketPath, beforeRedirect, and insecureHTTPParser) in the HTTP adapter are read via direct property access without hasOwnProperty guards, making them exploitable as prototype pollution gadgets. When Object.prototype is polluted by another dependency in the same process, axios silently picks up these polluted values on every outbound HTTP request. This issue has been patched in version 1.15.2.

This vulnerability, in the MAXHUB Pivot client application versions prior to v1.36.2, may allow an attacker to obtain encrypted tenant email addresses and related metadata from any tenant. Due to the presence of a hardcoded AES key within the application, the encrypted data can be decrypted, enabling access to tenant email addresses and associated information in cleartext. Furthermore, an attacker may be able to cause a denial-of-service condition by enrolling multiple unauthorized devices into a tenant via MQTT, potentially disrupting tenant operations.
