  • Aug 21, 2025Millenium MP3 Studio versions up to and including 2.0 is vulnerable to a stack-based buffer overflow when parsing .pls playlist files.CVE-2009-20002 · Other software · Millenium · reported by VulnCheckHigh 8.4

Millenium MP3 Studio versions up to and including 2.0 is vulnerable to a stack-based buffer overflow when parsing .pls playlist files. The application fails to properly validate the length of the File1 field within the playlist, allowing an attacker to craft a malicious .pls file that overwrites the Structured Exception Handler (SEH) and executes arbitrary code. Exploitation requires the victim to open the file locally, though remote execution may be possible if the .pls extension is registered to the application and opened via a browser.

  • Aug 21, 2025EasyFTP Server versions up to 1.7.0.11 contain a stack-based buffer overflow vulnerability in the FTP command parser.CVE-2010-20121 · Other software · KMiNT21 Software · reported by VulnCheckCritical 9.3

EasyFTP Server versions up to 1.7.0.11 contain a stack-based buffer overflow vulnerability in the FTP command parser. When processing the CWD (Change Working Directory) command, the server fails to properly validate the length of the input string, allowing attackers to overwrite memory on the stack. This flaw enables remote code execution without authentication, as EasyFTP allows anonymous access by default. The vulnerability was resolved in version 1.7.0.12, after which the product was renamed “UplusFtp.”

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: staging: media: atomisp: Fix stack buffer overflow in gmin_get_var_int() When gmin_get_config_var() calls efi.get_variable() and the EFI variable is larger than the expected buffer size, two behaviors combine to create a stack buffer overflow: 1. gmin_get_config_var() does not return the proper error code when efi.get_variable() fails. It returns the stale 'ret' value from earlier operations instead of indicating the EFI failure. 2. When efi.get_variable() returns EFI_BUFFER_TOO_SMALL, it updates *out_len to the required buffer size but writes no data to the output buffer. However, due to bug #1, gmin_get_var_int() believes the call succeeded. The caller gmin_get_var_int() then performs: - Allocates val[CFG_VAR_NAME_MAX + 1] (65 bytes) on stack - Calls gmin_get_config_var(dev, is_gmin, var, val, &len) with len=64 - If EFI variable is >64 bytes, efi.get_variable() sets len=required_size - Due to bug #1, thinks call succeeded with len=required_size - Executes val[len] = 0, writing past end of 65-byte stack buffer This creates a stack buffer overflow when EFI variables are larger than 64 bytes. • Aug 5, 2025Kenwood DMX958XR JKRadioService Stack-based Buffer Overflow Remote Code Execution Vulnerability.CVE-2025-8653 · Other software · Kenwood · reported by zdi-disclosures@trendmicro.comHigh 8.8

Kenwood DMX958XR JKRadioService Stack-based Buffer Overflow Remote Code Execution Vulnerability. This vulnerability allows network-adjacent attackers to execute arbitrary code on affected installations of Kenwood DMX958XR. Authentication is not required to exploit this vulnerability. The specific flaw exists within the JKRadioService. The issue results from the lack of proper validation of the length of user-supplied data prior to copying it to a fixed-length stack-based buffer. An attacker can leverage this vulnerability to execute code in the context of root. Was ZDI-CAN-26312.

  • Aug 5, 2025react-native-bottom-tabs is a library of Native Bottom Tabs for React Native.CVE-2025-54594 · Other software · callstackincubator · reported by GitHubCritical 9.1

react-native-bottom-tabs is a library of Native Bottom Tabs for React Native. In versions 0.9.2 and below, the github/workflows/release-canary.yml GitHub Actions repository workflow improperly used the pull_request_target event trigger, which allowed for untrusted code from a forked pull request to be executed in a privileged context. An attacker could create a pull request containing a malicious preinstall script in the package.json file and then trigger the vulnerable workflow by posting a specific comment (!canary). This allowed for arbitrary code execution, leading to the exfiltration of sensitive secrets such as GITHUB_TOKEN and NPM_TOKEN, and could have allowed an attacker to push malicious code to the repository or publish compromised packages to the NPM registry. There is a remediation commit which removes github/workflows/release-canary.yml, but a version with this fix has yet to be released.

  • Aug 5, 2025A stack-based buffer overflow vulnerability exists in ActFax Server version 5.01.CVE-2013-10064 · Other software · ActFax Communication · reported by VulnCheckCritical 9.3

A stack-based buffer overflow vulnerability exists in ActFax Server version 5.01. The server's RAW protocol interface fails to safely process user-supplied data in @F506 fax header fields due to insecure usage of strcpy. Remote attackers can exploit this vulnerability by sending specially crafted @F506 fields, potentially leading to arbitrary code execution. Successful exploitation requires network access to TCP port 4559 and does not require authentication.

  • Aug 5, 2025BlazeVideo HDTV Player Pro v6.6.0.3 is vulnerable to a stack-based buffer overflow due to improper handling of user-supplied input embedded in .plf playlist filCVE-2012-10031 · Other software · BlazeVideo Inc. · reported by VulnCheckHigh 8.6

BlazeVideo HDTV Player Pro v6.6.0.3 is vulnerable to a stack-based buffer overflow due to improper handling of user-supplied input embedded in .plf playlist files. When parsing a crafted .plf file, the MediaPlayerCtrl.dll component invokes PathFindFileNameA() to extract a filename from a URL-like string. The returned value is then copied to a fixed-size stack buffer using an inline strcpy call without bounds checking. If the input exceeds the buffer size, this leads to a stack overflow and potential arbitrary code execution under the context of the user.

  • Aug 4, 2025Exporting a TPM based RSA key larger than 2048 bits from the TPM could overrun a stack buffer if the default `MAX_RSA_KEY_BITS=2048` is used.CVE-2025-7844 · Other software · wolfSSL Inc. · reported by facts@wolfssl.comLow 1

Exporting a TPM based RSA key larger than 2048 bits from the TPM could overrun a stack buffer if the default `MAX_RSA_KEY_BITS=2048` is used. If your TPM 2.0 module supports RSA key sizes larger than 2048 bit and your applications supports creating or importing an RSA private or public key larger than 2048 bits and your application calls `wolfTPM2_RsaKey_TpmToWolf` on that key, then a stack buffer could be overrun. If the `MAX_RSA_KEY_BITS` build-time macro is set correctly (RSA bits match what TPM hardware is capable of) for the hardware target, then a stack overrun is not possible.

Where this comes from: the exploited list is CISA’s Known Exploited Vulnerabilities catalog. Everything else is the whole National Vulnerability Database, where each record is published by the team that found the bug (Wordfence, Patchstack, WPScan, the vendors themselves and others); we show who. Exploit odds are FIRST’s EPSS, updated daily. Titles and categories are ours, so check the linked record before acting on a detail. For a write-up of the big ones, see our advisories.
