File Browser provides a file managing interface within a specified directory and it can be used to upload, delete, preview, rename and edit files. Prior to version 2.61.0, when a user creates a public share link for a directory, the withHashFile middleware in http/public.go uses filepath.Dir(link.Path) to compute the BasePathFs root. • Mar 4, 2026Dark Reader is an accessibility browser extension that makes web pages colors dark.CVE-2025-68467 · Other software · darkreader · reported by GitHubLow 3.4

Dark Reader is an accessibility browser extension that makes web pages colors dark. The dynamic dark mode feature of the extension works by analyzing the colors of web pages found in CSS style sheet files. In order to analyze cross-origin style sheets (stored on websites different from the original web page), Dark Reader requests such files via a background worker, ensuring the request is performed with no credentials and that the content type of the response is a CSS file. Prior to Dark Reader 4.9.117, this style content was assigned to an HTML Style Element in order to parse and loop through style declarations, and also stored in page's Session Storage for performance gains. This could allow a website author to request a style sheet from a locally running web server, for example by having a link pointing to `http[:]//localhost[:]8080/style[.]css`. The brute force of the host name, port and file name would be unlikely due to performance impact, that would cause the browser tab to hang shortly, but it could be possible to request a style sheet if the full URL was known in advance. As per December 18, 2025 there is no known exploit of the issue. The problem has been fixed in version

However, the product ships with a default administrative account (admin/ admin) and does not enforce a mandatory password change on first use. A broken access control vulnerability exists in Serv-U which when exploited, gives a malicious actor the ability to create a system admin user and execute arbitrary code as a privileged account via domain admin or group admin privileges. This issue requires administrative privileges to abuse. On Windows deployments, the risk is scored as a medium because services frequently run under less-privileged service accounts by default.

  • Feb 9, 2026File Browser provides a file managing interface within a specified directory and it can be used to upload, delete, preview, rename and edit files.CVE-2026-25890 · Other software · filebrowser · reported by GitHubHigh 8.1

File Browser provides a file managing interface within a specified directory and it can be used to upload, delete, preview, rename and edit files. Prior to 2.57.1, an authenticated user can bypass the application's "Disallow" file path rules by modifying the request URL. By adding multiple slashes (e.g., //private/) to the path, the authorization check fails to match the rule, while the underlying filesystem resolves the path correctly, granting unauthorized access to restricted files. This vulnerability is fixed in 2.57.1.

  • Feb 9, 2026File Browser provides a file managing interface within a specified directory and it can be used to upload, delete, preview, rename and edit files.CVE-2026-25889 · Other software · filebrowser · reported by GitHubMedium 5.4

File Browser provides a file managing interface within a specified directory and it can be used to upload, delete, preview, rename and edit files. Prior to 2.57.1, a case-sensitivity flaw in the password validation logic allows any authenticated user to change their password (or an admin to change any user's password) without providing the current password. By using Title Case field name "Password" instead of lowercase "password" in the API request, the current_password verification is completely bypassed. This enables account takeover if an attacker obtains a valid JWT token through XSS, session hijacking, or other means. This vulnerability is fixed in 2.57.1.
