  • Aug 9, 2026Uncontrolled Resource Consumption vulnerability in ash-project ash allows an attacker to exhaust the memory of the node via a crafted keyset pagination cursor.CVE-2026-69659 · Other software · ash-project · reported by 6b3ad84c-e1a6-4bf7-a703-f496b71e49dbMedium 5.9

Uncontrolled Resource Consumption vulnerability in ash-project ash allows an attacker to exhaust the memory of the node via a crafted keyset pagination cursor. Read actions with keyset pagination deserialize the client-supplied page[:after] or page[:before] cursor in decode_values/2 in lib/ash/page/keyset.ex, which base64-decodes the value and passes it to :erlang.binary_to_term/2 without bounding its size. The Erlang external term format supports zlib-compressed payloads, which the decoder inflates transparently, so a cursor of a few kilobytes can allocate tens of megabytes of heap in a single call. Ash itself only ever encodes cursors uncompressed, so the decoder accepts a term shape its encoder never produces. Concurrent requests aggregate these allocations and can terminate the node. This issue affects ash: from 1.17.0 before 3.31.1.

  • Aug 7, 2026The SF32LB MPI QSPI NOR flash driver (drivers/flash/flash_sf32lb_mpi_qspi_nor.c) validated the flash offset and length on its read and write paths with the testCVE-2026-11743 · Other software · zephyrproject · reported by vulnerabilities@zephyrproject.orgMedium 6.6

The SF32LB MPI QSPI NOR flash driver (drivers/flash/flash_sf32lb_mpi_qspi_nor.c) validated the flash offset and length on its read and write paths with the test (offset + size) > data->size. Because offset is a signed off_t while size is unsigned, a negative offset is converted to a large unsigned value and the addition can wrap to a small result that passes the check. The read path then performs memcpy(dst, (void *)(data->base + offset), size) and the write path programs flash at offset and cache-invalidates data->base + offset, in both cases accessing memory outside the mapped flash window. The driver's erase path already rejected negative offsets, but read and write did not. In builds with CONFIG_USERSPACE, flash_read and flash_write are syscalls whose verifiers validate the device object and the caller's buffer but deliberately delegate offset bounds checking to the driver. An unprivileged thread that has been granted access to this flash device can therefore call the syscall with a crafted negative offset and a buffer valid in its own memory domain, and reach the unchecked access. The most direct impact is on the read path: by choosing a negative offset and matching size, an

  • Aug 7, 2026Pathling is a set of tools that make it easier to use FHIR and clinical terminology within health data analytics.CVE-2026-47664 · Other software · aehrc · reported by GitHubHigh 8.6

Pathling is a set of tools that make it easier to use FHIR and clinical terminology within health data analytics. Prior to version 2.0.0 of Pathling Server, the `$import-pnp` operation in Pathling Server accepts a caller-supplied `exportUrl` and uses it as the remote FHIR Bulk Export endpoint without constraining it to a trusted source. When PNP credentials are configured, Pathling builds a credentialed bulk-export client targeting the caller-chosen host, downloads manifest-selected files, and then reclassifies those staged files as trusted local `file://` imports - bypassing the configured `allowableSources` allowlist that protects the ordinary `$import` operation. This is fixed in Pathling Server 2.0.0. As a workaround, disable the `$import-pnp` operation (`pathling.operations.importPnpEnabled=false`) or do not configure PNP credentials.

Pathling is a set of tools that make it easier to use FHIR and clinical terminology within health data analytics. Prior to version 2.0.0 of Pathling Server, Pathling's typed CRUD/search/batch FHIR surface allows an authenticated caller with only coarse operation authorities to act on attacker-chosen resource families because those entrypoints do not consistently enforce the documented per-resource `read` and `write` authorities. The documented authorization model requires an operation authority (e.g. `pathling:search`) to be paired with the matching per-resource `read` or `write` authority (e.g. `pathling:read:Patient`). Delete and batch are documented to require write authority for all referenced resource types. However, typed search, update, and related handlers are annotated only with `@OperationAccess(...)` and act on the provider-selected resource type without checking the corresponding per-resource authority. This is fixed in Pathling Server 2.0.0.

Pathling is a set of tools that make it easier to use FHIR and clinical terminology within health data analytics. Prior to version 2.0.0 of Pathling Server, Pathling's `/$result` endpoint allows a caller who can obtain any valid async export job ID to supply `file` parameter values containing path traversal sequences. The handler verifies only the supplied `job` and never normalises or confines the requested `file` path to that job's `jobs/<jobId>` directory before opening it as a filesystem resource. Because async export scratch space lives under the same warehouse database root as persisted resource tables, an attacker can use their own export job to read other files from the warehouse. This is fixed in Pathling Server 2.0.0. As an interim mitigation, disable the async export operations (`pathling.operations.exportEnabled`, `patientExportEnabled`, `groupExportEnabled`, `bulkSubmitEnabled`) or enable authentication and restrict export capability to trusted callers.

Pathling is a set of tools that make it easier to use FHIR and clinical terminology within health data analytics. Prior to version 2.0.0 of Pathling Server, Pathling's bulk-submit operation allows an allowed submitter to supply an explicit `oauthMetadataUrl` parameter that is not validated against `pathling.bulkSubmit.allowableSources`. When present, the bulk-submit OAuth flow trusts metadata and the returned `token_endpoint` from the caller-chosen location, then builds outbound OAuth client authentication directly from the submitter's stored credentials. Tobit Laboratories AG TeamDavid's Webbox 's move archive functionality (“!ArcEntryMove”) accepts an arbitrary path, which can be set to network locations using UNC paths (e.g., “\\Server\Share”). The server processes these paths without validation, resulting in outbound connection attempts to attacker-controlled SMB servers. • Aug 6, 2026PyMdown Extensions is a set of extensions for the Python-Markdown markdown project.CVE-2026-61632 · Other software · facelessuser · reported by GitHubMedium 5.3

PyMdown Extensions is a set of extensions for the Python-Markdown markdown project. In versions up to and including 10.21.3, the b64 extension is vulnerable to a path traversal that discloses arbitrary files: it inlines images referenced by <img src="..."> by joining the src onto the configured base_path with os.path.normpath and opening the result directly, without verifying that the resolved path stays inside base_path. As a result, an src containing ../ sequences or an absolute path reads a file outside base_path as long as it has an allowed image extension (.png, .jpg, .jpeg, .gif, .svg), and the file's contents are then base64-encoded into the rendered output, disclosing them. An application that renders untrusted Markdown with pymdownx.b64 enabled can therefore leak the contents of image-extension files readable by the process to whoever controls the Markdown or views the output, a targeted file-read bounded by the extension check. This issue has been fixed in version 11.0.

Contiki-NG's MQTT client parse_publish_vhdr() in os/net/app-layer/mqtt/mqtt.c sets topic_len_received=1 before checking topic_len against the 64-byte limit, so an over-length topic returns early but leaves the flag set. On the next TCP segment, tcp_input() re-invokes the parser with topic_received==0, and the persisted topic_len_received==1 skips the length-reading block containing the guard, falling through directly to a memcpy() that uses the unvalidated 16-bit topic_len as the copy length. The 65-byte topic[] destination overruns into adjacent struct fields including the payload_chunk pointer, which subsequent MQTT code dereferences, giving a compromised or attacker-controlled broker an arbitrary-pointer-write primitive. Contiki-NG's MQTT implementation has no TLS support so the connection is plaintext. Impact ranges from information disclosure and denial of service to remote code execution on embedded targets without memory protection.

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: libfs: set SB_I_NOEXEC and SB_I_NODEV by default in init_pseudo() Since commit 1e7ab6f67824 ("anon_inode: rework assertions"), path_noexec() warns when an anonymous-inode file is mmap'd from a superblock that has not set SB_I_NOEXEC. dma-buf backs its files this way and never set the flag, so mmap of any exported buffer trips the warning on a CONFIG_DEBUG_VFS=y kernel: WARNING: CPU: 11 PID: 121813 at fs/exec.c:118 path_noexec+0x47/0x50 do_mmap+0x2b5/0x680 vm_mmap_pgoff+0x129/0x210 ksys_mmap_pgoff+0x177/0x240 __x64_sys_mmap+0x33/0x70 init_pseudo() sets up internal SB_NOUSER mounts that are never path-reachable. Set both flags here so every pseudo filesystem gets them by default instead of each caller setting them. SB_I_NODEV is inert for unreachable mounts. SB_I_NOEXEC has one visible effect: an executable mapping of a pseudo-fs fd, such as a dma-buf, now fails with -EPERM, which is the invariant the assertion enforces. No in-tree caller maps these executable. Reproduce on CONFIG_DEBUG_VFS=y: make -C tools/testing/selftests/dmabuf-heaps sudo ./tools/testing/selftests/dmabuf-heaps/dmabuf-heap

  • Aug 6, 2026In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: HID: hid-lenovo-go: cancel cfg_setup work in hid_go_cfg_remove() hid_go_cfg_probe() initiaCVE-2026-64595 · Computers, phones & browsers · Linux · reported by 416baaa9-dc9f-4396-8d5f-8c081fb06d67

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: HID: hid-lenovo-go: cancel cfg_setup work in hid_go_cfg_remove() hid_go_cfg_probe() initialises drvdata.go_cfg_setup and schedules it to run 2 ms later: INIT_DELAYED_WORK(&drvdata.go_cfg_setup, &cfg_setup); schedule_delayed_work(&drvdata.go_cfg_setup, msecs_to_jiffies(2)); cfg_setup() dereferences drvdata.hdev to issue MCU command requests. hid_go_cfg_remove() tears down sysfs and stops the HID device, but never drains the delayed work. If the device is unbound within the 2 ms scheduling delay (a probe failure rolling back via remove, or a fast rmmod after probe), the work fires after hid_destroy_device() has dropped its reference and released the underlying hdev struct, leaving cfg_setup() with a stale drvdata.hdev pointer. Mirror the sibling driver hid-lenovo-go-s.c, whose hid_gos_cfg_remove() already calls cancel_delayed_work_sync() on its analogous work, and drain go_cfg_setup at the top of hid_go_cfg_remove(). The cancel must come before guard(mutex)(&drvdata.cfg_mutex) because cfg_setup() acquires that mutex; reversing the order would deadlock.

  • Aug 6, 2026In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: usb: gadget: f_fs: initialize reset_work at allocation time ffs_fs_kill_sb() unconditionalCVE-2026-64594 · Computers, phones & browsers · Linux · reported by 416baaa9-dc9f-4396-8d5f-8c081fb06d67

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: usb: gadget: f_fs: initialize reset_work at allocation time ffs_fs_kill_sb() unconditionally calls cancel_work_sync() on ffs->reset_work when a functionfs instance is unmounted: ffs_data_reset(ffs); cancel_work_sync(&ffs->reset_work); However ffs->reset_work is only ever initialized via INIT_WORK() in ffs_func_set_alt() and ffs_func_disable(), and only on the FFS_DEACTIVATED path. That state is reached solely by ffs_data_closed() when the instance is mounted with the "no_disconnect" option, so for the common case (no "no_disconnect", or mounted and unmounted without ever being deactivated) reset_work is never initialized. ffs_data_new() allocates the ffs_data with kzalloc_obj() and does not initialize reset_work, and ffs_data_reset()/ffs_data_clear() do not touch it either, so reset_work.func is left NULL. cancel_work_sync() on such a work then trips the WARN_ON(!work->func) guard in __flush_work(): WARNING: kernel/workqueue.c:4301 at __flush_work+0x330/0x360, CPU#3: umount Call trace: __flush_work cancel_work_sync ffs_fs_kill_sb [usb_f_fs] deactivate_locked_super deactivate_super clea

  • Aug 6, 2026In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: wifi: brcmfmac: drain bus_reset work on device removal brcmf_fw_crashed() and the debugfs CVE-2026-64586 · Computers, phones & browsers · Linux · reported by 416baaa9-dc9f-4396-8d5f-8c081fb06d67High 8.8

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: wifi: brcmfmac: drain bus_reset work on device removal brcmf_fw_crashed() and the debugfs "reset" entry both schedule drvr->bus_reset, whose callback recovers drvr through container_of() and dereferences it. The removal path frees drvr (brcmf_free -> wiphy_free) without draining the work, so a bus_reset callback pending or running during removal can outlive drvr. Cancellation cannot live in brcmf_detach() or brcmf_free(): the work callback reaches teardown through the bus .reset op (PCIe brcmf_pcie_reset -> brcmf_detach; SDIO brcmf_sdio_bus_reset -> brcmf_sdiod_remove -> brcmf_free), so cancelling there would wait for the running work and deadlock. Add a per-bus mutex (bus_reset_lock) and route all arming through brcmf_bus_schedule_reset(), which under the lock skips when the bus is marked removing. Each bus remove entry calls brcmf_bus_cancel_reset_work(), which under the same lock sets removing and cancels the work. Holding the mutex across cancel_work_sync() makes the set-removing + drain step atomic. Every producer reaches the arming path from process context -- the PCIe firmware-halt notification runs
