Sep 4, 2026In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: nvme-tcp: fix usage of page_frag_cache nvme uses page_frag_cache to preallocate PDU for eaCVE-2026-80862 · Computers, phones & browsers · Linux · reported by 416baaa9-dc9f-4396-8d5f-8c081fb06d67
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: nvme-tcp: fix usage of page_frag_cache nvme uses page_frag_cache to preallocate PDU for each preallocated request of block device. Block devices are created in parallel threads, consequently page_frag_cache is used in not thread-safe manner. That leads to incorrect refcounting of backstore pages and premature free. That can be catched by !sendpage_ok inside network stack: WARNING: CPU: 7 PID: 467 at ../net/core/skbuff.c:6931 skb_splice_from_iter+0xfa/0x310. tcp_sendmsg_locked+0x782/0xce0 tcp_sendmsg+0x27/0x40 sock_sendmsg+0x8b/0xa0 nvme_tcp_try_send_cmd_pdu+0x149/0x2a0 Then random panic may occur. Fix that by serializing the usage of page_frag_cache.

Sep 4, 2026In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: tcp: fix AO info use-after-free in tcp_ao_connect_init() tcp_v4_connect() adds a SYN-SENT CVE-2026-80850 · Computers, phones & browsers · Linux · reported by 416baaa9-dc9f-4396-8d5f-8c081fb06d67
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: tcp: fix AO info use-after-free in tcp_ao_connect_init() tcp_v4_connect() adds a SYN-SENT socket to the ehash before calling tcp_connect(). If TCP-AO is configured, tcp_connect() first verifies that a key matches the peer and the bound device's current L3 master. tcp_ao_connect_init() later resolves the L3 master again and removes keys which do not match it. The socket lock does not stabilize the bound device's VRF membership. Detaching the device from its VRF between the initial validation and the L3-master calculation in tcp_ao_connect_init() can therefore make the validation succeed while initialization observes the default L3 domain and removes the only key. The subsequent AO lookup then fails, so the no-key path clears tp->ao_info and frees it directly. The receive path can find the socket in the ehash and load tp->ao_info under RCU before acquiring the socket lock. A reader which loaded the old pointer can thus continue into tcp_inbound_ao_hash() after the direct free. The issue was found during a static audit of TCP-AO object lifetime. An unprivileged reproducer in self-created user and network name

Sep 4, 2026In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: net/tcp-ao: fix use-after-free of current_key on reconnect to another peer tcp_inbound_ao_CVE-2026-80849 · Computers, phones & browsers · Linux · reported by 416baaa9-dc9f-4396-8d5f-8c081fb06d67
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: net/tcp-ao: fix use-after-free of current_key on reconnect to another peer tcp_inbound_ao_hash() is called before bh_lock_sock_nested() is taken, with only rcu_read_lock() held. On the fast path for established sockets, if the rnext_keyid sent by the peer differs from current_key->sndid, the key the peer asked for is looked up and stored in current_key. The lookup is inside the RCU read side, but current_key outlives it. When the socket is disconnected and connect() is called again for another peer, tcp_ao_connect_init() unlinks every key that does not match the new peer and frees it with call_rcu(). If current_key points at such a key, it is cleared to NULL. The fast path reads sk_state only once on entry, so a softirq that got into it while the socket was still established can update current_key after that loop has already run. The update is inside the RCU read side, so it comes before the call_rcu() callback, and once the callback frees the key, current_key is left pointing at freed memory. The next transmission picks that pointer up in tcp_get_current_key(). tcp_ao_transmit_skb() then reads the traffic key

Sep 4, 2026In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: xfrm: espintcp: fix UAF during close ZDI reported and analyzed a race condition during cloCVE-2026-80848 · Computers, phones & browsers · Linux · reported by 416baaa9-dc9f-4396-8d5f-8c081fb06d67
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: xfrm: espintcp: fix UAF during close ZDI reported and analyzed a race condition during close for espintcp sockets: espintcp_close() frees emsg->skb via kfree_skb() without holding any socket lock. Concurrently, the xfrm_trans_reinject work queue invokes esp_output_tcp_finish() -> espintcp_push_skb() -> espintcp_push_msgs() -> skb_send_sock_locked(), which reads the same skb as a data source. Fix this by adding a synchronize_rcu() call after resetting sk_prot, since esp_output_tcp_finish() runs under RCU and won't use a socket with sk_prot == &tcp_prot. Simply taking the socket lock in espintcp_close() could lead to leaks, if esp_output_tcp_finish() re-adds an skb in the slot we just freed. After this, the existing barrier() is no longer needed.

Sep 4, 2026In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: tcp: clamp route advmss to TCP_MIN_MSS tcp_select_initial_window() assumes that callers neCVE-2026-80847 · Computers, phones & browsers · Linux · reported by 416baaa9-dc9f-4396-8d5f-8c081fb06d67
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: tcp: clamp route advmss to TCP_MIN_MSS tcp_select_initial_window() assumes that callers never pass an MSS smaller than 1, but route-derived advmss values can violate that assumption. A too-small explicit RTAX_ADVMSS is one way to get there, but it is not the only one. The same divide-by-zero can also be reached through the "default advmss" path when RTAX_ADVMSS is left at 0 and the effective advmss is later driven down by route MTU and min_adv_mss. Introduce a tcp_dst_advmss() helper that clamps route advmss to TCP_MIN_MSS before TCP consumes it, and use it in the TCP paths that derive advmss from dst metrics. This keeps the effective MSS from dropping to zero before tcp_select_initial_window() rounds the receive window.

Sep 4, 2026In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: xfrm: drop ESP-in-TCP packets with no ingress device ESP-in-TCP receives records through tCVE-2026-80846 · Computers, phones & browsers · Linux · reported by 416baaa9-dc9f-4396-8d5f-8c081fb06d67
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: xfrm: drop ESP-in-TCP packets with no ingress device ESP-in-TCP receives records through the TCP strparser. handle_esp() restores skb->dev from the saved skb_iif before passing the packet into the XFRM input path. Queued TCP data can be processed after the original ingress device has been removed, for example during veth or net namespace teardown. In that case dev_get_by_index_rcu() returns NULL. The XFRM IPv4 and IPv6 input paths both expect skb->dev to be valid while building the route lookup, so queued ESP-in-TCP data can dereference a NULL device. Drop the packet if the saved ingress device can no longer be resolved. Such a packet can no longer be routed through the normal XFRM receive path, and this preserves the existing behaviour for packets whose ingress device still exists.

Sep 4, 2026In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: nvmet-tcp: bound SGL data length before allocating command buffers nvmet_tcp_map_data() reCVE-2026-80789 · Computers, phones & browsers · Linux · reported by 416baaa9-dc9f-4396-8d5f-8c081fb06d67
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: nvmet-tcp: bound SGL data length before allocating command buffers nvmet_tcp_map_data() reads the host-controlled 32-bit sgl->length and, for the in-capsule offset descriptor (type 0x01), checks it against port->inline_data_size before use. Any other SGL descriptor type -- including the non-inline transport SGL data-block descriptor (type (NVME_TRANSPORT_SGL_DATA_DESC << 4) | NVME_SGL_FMT_TRANSPORT_A, the type a real host uses for out-of-capsule writes) skips that check entirely and falls straight through to: cmd->req.sg = sgl_alloc(len, GFP_KERNEL, &cmd->req.sg_cnt); with len taken directly from the wire, unbounded up to 4 GiB. nvmet_req_init() only parses the command and never inspects sgl->length, and nvmet_check_transfer_len() -- the only other place transfer_len is validated -- runs later, from req->execute(), after the allocation has already happened. For a write command the target responds with an R2T and parks the command waiting for the host to send the data; if the host (or an unauthenticated peer that simply never follows up) never does, the sgl_alloc() buffer stays resident for the life of the com

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: nvmet-tcp: Do not WARN on remotely-controlled oversized SGL allocations When fuzzing the nvme target code, I tripped a kernel warning in nvmet_tcp_map_data() because the length passed into the allocator is controlled by the remote initiator. A remote initiator that sends a command with an SGL claiming a huge number, can create a scatterlist and iovec allocation of over 1 million entries, which causes the backing kmalloc call to exceed MAX_PAGE_ORDER and then the page allocator will trip on a WARN_ON_ONCE_GFP() message: WARNING: mm/page_alloc.c:5280 __alloc_frozen_pages_noprof Workqueue: nvmet_tcp_wq nvmet_tcp_io_work ... sgl_alloc_order nvmet_tcp_map_data nvmet_tcp_try_recv_pdu As it's never good to trip a kernel warning remotely due to many systems having panic-on-warn enabled, let's silence it by just add GFP_NOWARN to the allocation flags.

Sep 4, 2026In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: mptcp: pm: fix memory leak from alloc-during-teardown race mptcp_pm_destroy() empties msk-CVE-2026-80784 · Computers, phones & browsers · Linux · reported by 416baaa9-dc9f-4396-8d5f-8c081fb06d67
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: mptcp: pm: fix memory leak from alloc-during-teardown race mptcp_pm_destroy() empties msk->pm.anno_list and msk->pm.userspace_pm_local_addr_list under msk->pm.lock during socket teardown, dropping the lock between the two. A concurrent userspace PM genl ANNOUNCE on the same msk holds a sock reference via mptcp_token_get_sock() and, in mptcp_pm_nl_announce_doit(), calls mptcp_userspace_pm_append_new_local_addr() and mptcp_pm_announced_alloc(). Both take msk->pm.lock briefly to add to their respective lists. Because the genl handler holds a sock reference, mptcp_pm_destroy() may run on the same msk via mptcp_disconnect(), which invokes mptcp_destroy_common() without dropping the sock refcount, before the handler completes. If the lock acquisitions interleave such that mptcp_pm_destroy() empties a list first, the later alloc adds its entry to a list head that nothing else iterates for this msk, and the entry leaks. kmemleak reports both mptcp_pm_add_addr objects (from mptcp_pm_announced_alloc()) and mptcp_pm_addr_entry objects (from mptcp_userspace_pm_append_new_local_addr()) under sustained concurrent ANNOUNCE +

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: bpf: Check sk_state before sk_protocol in bpf_tcp_*_syncookie bpf_tcp_gen_syncookie and bpf_tcp_check_syncookie accept a socket pointer 'sk' with argument type ARG_PTR_TO_BTF_ID_SOCK_COMMON. However, they access sk->sk_protocol without validating whether 'sk' represents a full socket. Fix this issue by checking sk->sk_state != TCP_LISTEN before inspecting sk->sk_protocol in both bpf_tcp_gen_syncookie and bpf_tcp_check_syncookie. Since mini-sockets are never in the TCP_LISTEN state, the condition short-circuits and prevents dereferencing fullsock-specific fields.

Sep 1, 2026An attacker that connects to an open Erlang TCP port that uses the inet driver with {packet,4} mode can use a signed overflow in an incorrect packet length calcCVE-2026-75538 · Other software · Erlang · reported by 6b3ad84c-e1a6-4bf7-a703-f496b71e49dbHigh 8.2
An attacker that connects to an open Erlang TCP port that uses the inet driver with {packet,4} mode can use a signed overflow in an incorrect packet length calculation to overflow the receive buffer into the VM allocator area and beyond up to about 2 GB. This would easily trash the allocated block's allocator metadata footer, and the next block, if any, and most likely cause the BEAM VM to crash. Utilizing this with precision enough to achieve Remote Code Execution would be extremely unfeasible. This issue affects OTP from OTP 17.0 before OTP 27.3.4.17, from OTP 28.0 before OTP 28.5.0.6, and from OTP 29.0 before OTP 29.0.6, corresponding to erts from 6.0 before 15.2.7.13, from 16.0 before 16.4.0.6, and from 17.0 before 17.0.6. Whether OTP before OTP 17.0, corresponding to erts before 6.0, is affected is unknown.

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: net: gro: properly validate BIG TCP aggregation criteria When GRO attempts to aggregate packets beyond GRO_LEGACY_MAX_SIZE (64KB), BIG TCP should only be permitted for plain IPv4 TCP and plain IPv6 TCP (with sufficient MAC header room to insert the temporary HBH jumbo header). However, commit b1a78b9b9886 ("net: add support for ipv4 big tcp") loosened the check in skb_gro_receive(), leading to several issues: 1. skb_gro_receive() checked skb_headroom(p) instead of the actual space before the MAC header (p->mac_header). Because skb_headroom(p) includes mac_len, crafted frames (e.g. injected via AF_PACKET) can pass the check with p->mac_header < 8 bytes. When ipv6_gro_complete() inserts the temporary HBH jumbo header, the memmove() starts before skb->head, causing an out-of-bounds write and wrapping skb->mac_header. 2. It allowed non-IP protocols such as software VLAN (ETH_P_8021Q / ETH_P_8021AD) to aggregate beyond 64KB because p->protocol != ETH_P_IPV6 was true. 3. It checked p->encapsulation instead of NAPI_GRO_CB(skb)->encap_mark, allowing encapsulated flows (e.g. SIT / IPv6-in-IPv4) t

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: mptcp: avoid combining some incoming suboptions Some MPTCP suboptions are mutually exclusive according to the RFC8684, but also because in different places, the code doesn't expect some combinations to be present. That's specially true for suboptions that would be present twice, but with different attributes. The new restrictions are the same as the ones applied on the output side, with mptcp_write_options. The same rules can be reused with a small fix: an MP_FASTCLOSE can be used with a DSS when the sender picks this option [1], which is not the case on Linux. In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: mptcp: fastopen: only mark MPTFO subflows with SYN data Passive TCP Fast Open accepts a valid-cookie SYN even when it carries no data. In that case the child socket's receive queue is intentionally left empty. mptcp_fastopen_subflow_synack_set_params() set is_mptfo before checking for queued SYN data. That made data-less TFO SYNs hit a WARN and, if the warning was non-fatal, left stale MPTFO state behind. The stale flag could later trigger a state-confusion bug in check_fully_established(). Only mark the subflow as MPTFO after confirming that an SKB was queued. Return quietly when the receive queue is empty. Note that mptcp_subflow_context's is_mptfo field is now not just about subflows where the TFO was present, but about MPTFO subflow that consumed SYN data. Only having a valid cookie but not carrying data is not really "doing TFO".

The uncharge follows rsk_listener of the request the child points at, and inet_reqsk_clone() has repointed the child at a new request owned by the new listener, so the ++ and the -- land on two different sockets. The new listener's qlen drifts negative and its limit no longer binds. Charge the new listener during migration, like reqsk_queue_migrated() already does for queue->young and queue->qlen.

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: netfilter: nf_conntrack: defer invalid log until after unlock TCP and SCTP conntrack paths can emit invalid-packet logs while ct->lock is still held. When invalid logging is routed to nfnetlink_log and conntrack export is enabled, the log path can re-enter conntrack netlink glue and dump the same conntrack again. Protocol attribute dumping may take ct->lock, so logging while holding that lock can deadlock. Defer the TCP invalid logs by storing only the minimal log context while ct->lock is held and emitting the log after unlocking. Also make the TCP timeout-lowering invalid path return whether a log is needed, then emit that log after unlocking. Do the same for the SCTP invalid state-transition log that can be reached while ct->lock is held. Add a lockdep assertion to nf_ct_l4proto_log_invalid() so future callers that log invalid conntracks while holding ct->lock are caught outside TCP and SCTP as well.

phpMyFAQ before 4.1.6 does not adequately sanitize HTML in FAQ answers before generating PDFs via TCPDF. An attacker with permission to create or edit FAQ content can embed an <img> tag whose src references a local file under the web root's content/ directory (e.g., content/core/config/database.php). When the PDF is generated, phpMyFAQ attempts to read the referenced file; because it is not a valid image the resulting error is converted into an uncaught exception whose stack trace discloses part of the file's contents to any user who triggers the PDF export. By default the disclosed portion is truncated (zend.exception_string_param_max_len), but a larger configured value can result in disclosure of entire files, including database credentials.

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: netfilter: nf_conntrack_sip: widen NAT rewrite delta to s32 in sip_help_tcp() sip_help_tcp() stores the size change of each NAT-rewritten SIP message in s16 diff and accumulates it in s16 tdiff, but a single message can grow by more than S16_MAX while the packet stays under the 65535 enlarge_skb() limit: nf_nat_sip() rewrites every matching URI, and a long Contact list expands the message by tens of kilobytes. diff then wraps, and "datalen = datalen + diff - msglen" yields a huge unsigned datalen, so the next iteration's ct_sip_get_header() reads past the linearized skb tail. Widen diff, tdiff and the seq_adjust hook to s32. Both are bounded by the 65535 byte packet limit, and the seqadj core is already s32 (nf_ct_seqadj_set() takes s32), so no previously accepted input is rejected. In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: rds: tcp: hold the RCU lock across ipv6_chk_addr() in rds_tcp_laddr_check() rds_tcp_laddr_check() looks up a scoped IPv6 interface with dev_get_by_index_rcu(), drops the RCU read-side lock, and only then passes the bare struct net_device * into ipv6_chk_addr(). dev_get_by_index_rcu() only keeps the device alive within the same RCU read-side section. After rcu_read_unlock(), a concurrent RTM_DELLINK can free the net_device; ipv6_chk_addr() then dereferences the stale pointer in __ipv6_chk_addr_and_flags() (e.g. l3mdev_master_dev_rcu(dev)), reading freed memory. Keep the RCU read-side lock held across the ipv6_chk_addr() call instead of dropping it right after the lookup, so the device cannot be freed while it is in use. In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: scsi: libiscsi_tcp: Bound SCSI Response data segment to the connection buffer iscsi_tcp_hdr_dissect() receives the data segment of several PDU types into the fixed-size conn->data buffer, which is allocated for ISCSI_DEF_MAX_RECV_SEG_LEN (8192) bytes. For the LOGIN_RSP, TEXT_RSP, REJECT and ASYNC_EVENT opcodes the dissect path already rejects a PDU whose DataSegmentLength exceeds that buffer. The SCSI Command Response (ISCSI_OP_SCSI_CMD_RSP) path also copies its data segment (sense/response data) into conn->data via iscsi_tcp_data_recv_prep(), but it does so without the same check. The only upstream bound on in.datalen is conn->max_recv_dlength, the initiator's advertised MaxRecvDataSegmentLength, which is commonly negotiated well above 8192 (open-iscsi defaults to 262144). A target that returns a SCSI Response with a DataSegmentLength between 8193 and max_recv_dlength therefore overflows the 8192-byte conn->data buffer. Once the same bound applies, ISCSI_OP_SCSI_CMD_RSP is handled exactly like those responses: bound the data segment, receive it into conn->data when present, and otherwise complete the PDU wi

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: nvmet-tcp: fix page fragment cache leak in error path In nvmet_tcp_alloc_queue(), when a connection is closed during the allocation process (e.g., nvmet_tcp_set_queue_sock() returns -ENOTCONN), the error handling jumps to out_destroy_sq and then to out_ida_remove without draining the page fragment cache. Although nvmet_tcp_free_cmd() is called in some error paths to release individual page fragments, the underlying page cache reference held by queue->pf_cache is never released. The first allocation using pf_cache is the call to nvmet_tcp_alloc_cmd() for queue->connect, which happens after ida_alloc() returns successfully. This results in a page leak each time a connection fails during allocation, which could lead to memory exhaustion over time if connections are repeatedly opened and closed. Fix this by calling page_frag_cache_drain() before freeing the queue structure in the out_ida_remove label.

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: tcp: ipv6: clamp default adverting MSS to avoid GSO_BY_FRAGS (0xFFFF) When MTU is large, ip6_default_advmss() can return IPV6_MAXPLEN (65535). This is interpreted by TCP as mss_clamp, allowing the MSS to reach 65535. However, 0xFFFF is also used as a magic value GSO_BY_FRAGS in the kernel. If a TCP packet with gso_size=0xFFFF is passed to skb_segment(), it will be mistakenly treated as GSO_BY_FRAGS, leading to a NULL pointer dereference because local TCP packets do not use frag_list. Fix this by returning min(IPV6_MAXPLEN, GSO_BY_FRAGS - 1) (65534) from ip6_default_advmss() when MTU is large. Also update the stale comment in ip6_default_advmss() which suggested that IPV6_MAXPLEN is returned to mean "any MSS".

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: sunrpc: pin svc_xprt across the asynchronous TLS handshake callback svc_tcp_handshake() stores the raw svc_xprt pointer in tls_handshake_args.ta_data and submits the request through tls_server_hello_x509(). The handshake core takes only sock_hold(req->hr_sk); nothing references the embedding struct svc_sock that svc_tcp_handshake_done() reaches via container_of(). Two close races leave the in-flight callback writing through a freed svc_sock. svc_sock_free() calls tls_handshake_cancel() and discards its return value: a false return means handshake_complete() has already set HANDSHAKE_F_REQ_COMPLETED but hp_done() may not have finished, yet svc_sock_free() proceeds to kfree(svsk). The cancel-loser fall-through inside svc_tcp_handshake() itself produces the same window: when wait_for_completion_interruptible_timeout() returns <= 0 (timeout or signal) and tls_handshake_cancel() returns false, the function does not drain, returns, and svc_handle_xprt() calls svc_xprt_received(), which clears XPT_BUSY and can drop the last reference. In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: tcp: defer md5sig_info kfree past RCU grace period in tcp_connect The md5+ao reconciliation in tcp_connect() (net/ipv4/tcp_output.c) has two symmetric branches: if (needs_md5) { tcp_ao_destroy_sock(sk, false); } else if (needs_ao) { tcp_clear_md5_list(sk); kfree(rcu_replace_pointer(tp->md5sig_info, NULL, ...)); } Both branches free a per-socket auth-info object while the socket is in TCP_SYN_SENT and is already on the inet ehash (inserted by inet_hash_connect() in tcp_v4_connect()). Both branches are reachable by softirq RX-path readers that load the corresponding info pointer via implicit RCU before bh_lock_sock_nested() is taken. The needs_md5 branch is fixed in the prior patch by re-introducing the call_rcu() free in tcp_ao_destroy_sock(): the equivalent per-key loop runs inside tcp_ao_info_free_rcu(), the RCU callback, so by the time it frees each tcp_ao_key all softirq readers that captured the container have already completed rcu_read_unlock(). The needs_ao branch is not symmetric in the same way. The container free can be deferred via kfree_rcu(md5sig, rcu) -- struct tcp_md5sig_info already ha

Since rds_tcp_skbuf_handler() derives the netns from rtn->rds_tcp_listen_sock->sk, a concurrent sysctl write can race with netns teardown and dereference the freed socket/sk. KASAN reports the race as: BUG: KASAN: slab-use-after-free in rds_tcp_skbuf_handler+0x2aa/0x2e0 rds_tcp_skbuf_handler net/rds/tcp.c:721 proc_sys_call_handler fs/proc/proc_sysctl.c vfs_write fs/read_write.c __x64_sys_pwrite64 fs/read_write.c Fix this by unregistering the RDS TCP sysctl table before calling rds_tcp_kill_sock(). unregister_net_sysctl_table() prevents new sysctl handlers from starting and waits for in-flight handlers to finish, so the listen socket can then be released safely. The fix was tested against the linked reproducer.

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: bpf, sockmap: Fix cork use-after-free in tcp_bpf_sendmsg() tcp_bpf_sendmsg() keeps msg_tx across sk_stream_wait_memory(), which drops and reacquires the socket lock. Its error path tries to decide whether msg_tx names the local temporary message by comparing it with the current value of psock->cork. This comparison is unsafe when two threads send on the same socket: Thread A Thread B msg_tx = psock->cork sk_msg_alloc() fails sk_stream_wait_memory() releases the socket lock acquires the socket lock completes the cork psock->cork = NULL frees the cork reacquires the socket lock msg_tx != psock->cork sk_msg_free(msg_tx) The stale cork is therefore mistaken for the local temporary message and freed again. Aug 10, 2026In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: mptcp: fix stale skb->sk reference on subflow close The backlog list is updated by mptcp_dCVE-2026-68170 · Computers, phones & browsers · Linux · reported by 416baaa9-dc9f-4396-8d5f-8c081fb06d67Critical 9.8
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: mptcp: fix stale skb->sk reference on subflow close The backlog list is updated by mptcp_data_ready() under mptcp_data_lock(). The cleanup of backlog references to a closing subflow, however, was performed in mptcp_close_ssk(), before __mptcp_close_ssk() acquires the ssk lock, and while holding neither the ssk lock nor mptcp_data_lock(). Because that traversal ran without mptcp_data_lock(), concurrent softirq RX processing on another CPU (subflow_data_ready() -> mptcp_data_ready() -> __mptcp_add_backlog(), under mptcp_data_lock()) could add a backlog entry referencing the ssk while the cleanup loop was in progress. Such an entry could be missed by the cleanup, or the concurrent list update could corrupt the traversal, leaving skb->sk pointing at the ssk after it is freed. A later mptcp_backlog_purge() then dereferences the stale pointer, triggering a warning in inet_sock_destruct() (ssk->sk_rmem_alloc != 0) followed by a use-after-free in mptcp_backlog_purge(). Fix this by moving the backlog cleanup into __mptcp_close_ssk(), after subflow->closing is set to 1 and while the ssk lock is still held, serialized un

Aug 10, 2026In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: mptcp: pm: userspace: fix use-after-free in get_local_id In mptcp_pm_userspace_get_local_iCVE-2026-68169 · Computers, phones & browsers · Linux · reported by 416baaa9-dc9f-4396-8d5f-8c081fb06d67
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: mptcp: pm: userspace: fix use-after-free in get_local_id In mptcp_pm_userspace_get_local_id(), the address entry is looked up under spinlock, but its id is read after dropping the lock. A concurrent deletion can free the entry between the unlock and the read, leading to UAF. The race window is narrow. It was reproduced only with a locally constructed stress test that repeatedly overlaps an MP_JOIN SYN with a MPTCP_PM_CMD_SUBFLOW_DESTROY request. However, the KASAN report below confirms that the race is reachable: [ 666.319376] BUG: KASAN: slab-use-after-free in mptcp_userspace_pm_get_local_id+0x1dc/0x1f0 [ 666.319386] Read of size 1 at addr ffff888124845610 by task swapper/0/0 ... Aug 10, 2026In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: ovpn: fix peer refcount leak in TCP error paths When either the TCP RX or TX error path caCVE-2026-68122 · Computers, phones & browsers · Linux · reported by 416baaa9-dc9f-4396-8d5f-8c081fb06d67
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: ovpn: fix peer refcount leak in TCP error paths When either the TCP RX or TX error path calls ovpn_peer_hold() followed by schedule_work(&peer->tcp.defer_del_work), and the work item is already pending from the other path, schedule_work() returns false and the work runs only once. Since ovpn_tcp_peer_del_work() calls ovpn_peer_put() exactly once, the extra reference taken by the losing path is never dropped, leaking the peer object. The race window: CPU0 (strparser/RX error): CPU1 (tcp_tx_work/TX error): ovpn_peer_hold() <- refcnt+1 ovpn_peer_hold() <- refcnt+2 schedule_work() <- queued schedule_work() <- NO-OP (work already pending) ovpn_tcp_peer_del_work runs: ovpn_peer_del() ovpn_peer_put() <- refcnt+1 <- peer never freed Fix by checking the return value of schedule_work() in both paths and calling ovpn_peer_put() to drop the extra reference if the work was already pending. ovpn_peer_hold() is kept unconditional in the TX path as it cannot fail at that point.

Where this comes from: the exploited list is CISA’s Known Exploited Vulnerabilities catalog. Everything else is the whole National Vulnerability Database, where each record is published by the team that found the bug (Wordfence, Patchstack, WPScan, the vendors themselves and others); we show who. Exploit odds are FIRST’s EPSS, updated daily. Titles and categories are ours, so check the linked record before acting on a detail. For a write-up of the big ones, see our advisories. Every vendor, and every WordPress plugin and theme with a recorded flaw, also has its own page. All of it is free to reuse as JSON, CSV or RSS.
